Kalinda smiled slightly. "Thank you" she said softly, "it's nice having someone who'll listen" she shrugged but she grew distant for a few moments, looking down the staircase. "Sometimes I feel like my own emotions aren't my own. And that throws me. Things like today, I worry that they're changing me" she shrugged again, and looked to Kadien "but anyway. Do you want me to show you around the school? We could always go to the city, get something to eat or something as well"
Before Phoebe even realized where she was, she was at her garden, and she winced, remembering that this was exactly where she'd left the academy. Where she'd met her mother for the first time. It was a beautiful spot, and she loved it, but she had avoided this part of it for good reason. Now she sighed. "I don't understand" she spoke softly, "why you still don't tell me everything...why you still have secrets. Why hide the fact I have a sibling? Were you ashamed? Did you feel guilty?" Those rang true for Phoebe, but her mother could be strange.
Frustrated she kicked at dirt, and then she began to work. Phoebe had a clear picture of herself as she had been as a kid. Five years old, and just coming into her abilities. Alone, confused. Yet she had been an adorable kid. Cute, and quick to smile. That much her carers gave her. She was who she was because of them, and now she stood on the brink of something more:
She fixed up the garden, made it better, fixed up any damage due to weather and just stepped back. She smiled, and then turned away, hands in her jackets pockets.
