I agree, Elara seems best suited for leadership. She's got my vote.
Renny said My real choice here was Traest Krey’lis, he has that militant knowledge that we all need. But you I figured the Jedi senior officer needed to be a Jedi.

The Jedi in charge is just in charge of the jedi, and probably not as firmly in charge of other Jedi knights as Traest is of the entire IRSOG. You see, he's in command, the Jedi are under him (for the moment) and it's not a welcome relationship from his perspective...and the Jedi aren't entirely happy with the situation either, as Jedi have this other whole frequency they sense and integrate into their decisionmaking.

It boils down to what can create friction, too.

At this point I'm waiting on one more sheet, but I am pretty much getting things rolling. Also, Ayessa could easily be stuck with the role as a consular. Because dealing with the Bothan might require a trained diplomat.

That would be fun. Jedi, Mystic and a Diplomat... Oh he wouldn't like her.

Why does he not work well with Jedi? The history in his bio wasn't clear. It seems like he'd just hate the banner of the Mercy Corps, seeing the "Non-Combatants" as wasted potential.

Blame the Jedi Council. We all do,anyway. They were holding back even though they knew what was happening on Cathar.
