ANd Haklo would not come off that way. He'd be subtle about it but I guess i see your point.

I have one question, Free, and this is just plain curiosity...how would he know Haklo was that way? Unless he's like Satori or a psychomancy student, he won't really. Besides, he's likely going to end up meeting people like Haklo in the rp at some point without ever knowing it...unless of course, you found a way to avoid that. Which honestly, the only way I see how is to meta game and I don't think that's much fun to be honest.

In all honesty, that's probably what Locas would act like once he's not on the verge of dying anymore, and got is old, non-cocky self back. He would try not to, of course, but that's how he's always act.

Standing at 6’5”, Darius is a large man with broad shoulders. His dark skin is marred by many scars from battles he has had. The largest being a scar that extends from his right shoulder down to his left hip. He has a broad nose that has been noticeably broken and left unprepared several times. His eyes are brown, and he has short black hair.

Short Bio: Darius was born in Porti, the Market centre of Shanna. He had a normal childhood, playing with friends in the streets. When he was old enough, he joined the army. He started out as a grunt, which he loathed to no extent. Being told what to do was something that Darius did not like at all, and it had caused some fights when he didn’t like what he was being told to do. Quickly, though, his fights were quickly quelled by his superiors. The Shannian army had some rather harsh punishments for violent behaviour against other fellow soldiers. While it did stop Darius from fighting, it didn't stop him from hating being told what to do in the way his superiors did.

Years passed, and Darius moved up in the ranks, despite his earlier fights against the people that told him what to do. He earned some extra money in some pit fights when times were slow. Had had won some battles, and lost some, and he had gained a multitude of scars from his battles. He had made friends and enemies. One day, he was picked as part of the group that would go up to a mage college that he had never heard of and protect the people that represented Shanna.

Good Attributes: Strong, proficient sword fighter and hand-to-hand combatant. If anything, Darius is a good soldier, and he works well with others if he has to, and if he needs to, he can lead people quite well. He's patient when teaching others about sword fighting and hand-to-hand fighting.

Bad Attributes: Arrogant, bigoted, and loud. He has a short temper, and he hates being talked down to. If he doesn't have to work with someone out of necessity, he won't. The only way that Darius starts to like people is if they do well against him in a fair fist fight. If they beat him, they will gain his respect.

Secret Word: Rebirth

Haklo does dress in dark and edgy clothing, but so does just about everyone who is involved with Lues Mage Blood. If anything, the only hints anyone could really gleam that Haklo could be a manipulator aside from appearance is if they know who the Desol Family is and how they're like. And let's be honest, and no offense Witch, but Haklo's record so far for "Using or Manipulating" other characters have been next to none. Xyden has done more and he's not exactly charismatic. Is Haklo tall, dark, and has a roguish charm that may elude to his silver tongue? Sure, but I wouldn't say I'd kill him for it. Unless Haklo has been establishing himself as a manipulator, but that depends on Witch choose how Haklo has been acting since the opening.

What I'm trying to say is, why don't Grey and Haklo have a chat? Maybe see if anything connects between the two men.

I'm guessing he's a "guest" of the college for this Shanna person? He seems fairly average joe as far as rough-attitude characters go, but I'll greenlight him. Curiously, are you going to have him as a student or something akin to Grey, someone who works for the college and may see education benefits from it?

I'm just wondering so we can work out a reasonable enough excuse for him to stay and not report back to his superiors or something. If he's a soldier I'd imagine that his nation would very much like one of their people, especially one sent on an important mission to protect their VIP's, to return for questioning. If he's a Merc, he may not want go back for those same reasons. Just some things for later so we can make sure it all fits.

He is a soldier, but he isn't the only one there, and he isn't the captain. I could see him talking to the captain and working something out as soon as he discovers his blood.

it is hard to establish him as a manipulator when most interactions with him with other characters haven't been longer than 3 posts : /
