Well, the short version: Alaira is a slightly mad berserker that lacks restraint, and has severe insecurities about quite a few things. Despite her reckless nature however, she is extremely loyal and fiercely protective of the few that she trusts, primarily Lyn, but also her parents as well.
On the combat end of things Alaira is good mostly for one thing: Overwhelming force. She is a living, one woman blitzkrieg that quickly tears through opponents with great speed and strength, often demoralizing them with the sheer ferocity of her attacks. However, she can be defeated rather easily without allies to capitalize on the openings she makes for them, and her strategies are always risky anyway.
