It all started when I upgraded the Guild's dependencies. I upgraded them all at once where I should've done the big upgrades by themselves so that I had more of a clue if there were regressions like this. That said, staying on old versions isn't a solution either, so hopefully keeping them upgraded (as soon as upgrades come out) will fix the regression if there is one.

I doubt it, though there's always a possibility that a bug in the parsing library (github.com/pegjs/pegjs) gets stuck in a loop.

Since the same parser is run in the browser to validate your roll before you submit it, you'd think it would lock up the browser if there was an endless loop. I won't know til my CPU profiler tells me.

@Terminal pointed out that the image upload limit is too small.

I bumped the max image upload size from ~1 MB to ~2 MB (2,000,000 bytes).

I just completed a successful test-run of migrating our database to a new webhost and an updated version.

Soon I will take the Guild offline (for maybe one hour) to migrate the database for real.

I reduced the ratelimit for liking people's statuses from 30 seconds to 3 seconds. 30 seconds is way too long.

If I'm mirin two statuses on the sidebar, I shouldn't have to sit there like an idiot for 30 seconds before I can like the second one.

Something I've noticed as well with the PMd is that when they are shuffled into the folders and I get a new PM, it's not always clear where the PM is if I go to the inbox with the selection menu first, rather than notifications

Sort of like:
"Not in inbox, maybe trash? Nope. Archives? Yep. Ah that's right... Needed that PM"

Could some extra clarity be eventually built into the folder system?

Just deployed an effort to fix the visitor-message notification system so that you get notified when anyone replies to a VM thread that you've engaged in on any profile.

For example, if NuttsnBolts and Mahz reply to Hank's VM on Fozbert's profile, then if someone adds another reply to that VM, {Hank, NuttsnBolts, Mahz, Fozbert} all receive a notification. Not sure why I never implemented that. Let me know if it doesn't work like that, still.

@NuttsnBolts Agreed, it's terrible UI. I'll make an issue for it.

When you click the PMs button because it has a (3) on it, you just get dumped into the convo list and have to figure out which 3 convos are new. I could fix this by highlighting the convos that have unread PMs, and also by highlighting the folders that contain those convos.

So, I'm not sure if this is because of anything to do with the server move, but I am noticing slightly faster responses when I click a button. Maybe load times have improved, but that could just be my internet or something.

I encountered a possible bug with the addition you made to the VM feature. When I was notified of a reply to a vm I made on someone's profile(it was from them), I wasn't directed to their profile(which I assume was meant to be). Instead, it led me to my profile. I don't know if you're aware of this or not, but figured it should be brought to your attention.

While I find our new optional gender id signs helpful to clarify some gender ambiguity when dealing with pronouns, is it possible to include some genders outside of the traditional male/female?

Or maybe Mahz could be ever so charming and add in a potato option.

Mahz, I know there's a lot lined up to furnish the site so this is low priority.

Can we up the PM recipient quota? I'm running a group RP, and have plans for more large group roleplays; what's holding me back is that I can't PM a group privately for selective message transmission, since the maximum limit is five recipients.

No need for a crazy big number, though; I think something like 10 will cover any and all situations.

Mine too! It was confusing because I had to guess whose profile I should visit, and lurking one by one makes me look like a mass-stalker.

A feature to create your own Folders would be much appreciated, too. My Inbox, Starred, Archive and Trash are all over the place. //whizzing

Or sub-folders - that works too. Basically just something where I can flick a mail to a folder that decides for me if it's worth to constantly check.

I'm not whining in any way in regards to receiving PMs, but I have a hard time motivating myself to reply to PMs when the first thing I see entering the Inbox is several pages of assorted PMs. Pretty sure some people think I flaked on them or snubbed them for a chat due to my forgetting to delve and search for their mails.

(I put the 'pro' in procrastination, so huge to-reply lists daunt me. )

The purpose of "Add your own" is to prevent that from being an issue. Male and female are easy defaults because under non-genetically mutated situations, there are only two possible chromosome configurations, XX and XY, one thing that cannot change as culture changes. This allows users to add anything they want in the self-defined option or to use the biological defaults, preventing arguments or complaints about a particular group not being represented.
