While I haven't used the search function to search for threads, I do very much like the search function for posts within a particular thread. That function is super-useful, especially when a thread has millions of words in it.

New Feature: A roleplay's GM and Co-GMs can now suspend problematic users from further participation in their roleplay.



Since GMs get the final word on disagreements in a roleplay, this allows them to de-escalate the rare scenario where a player refuses to stand down when asked to stop.

Like all Guild features, it's experimental. So lemme know if you encounter any issues.

Interesting feature.

Granted, in the ideal situation, that feature won't ever be needed.
Needing to use it usually means that someone hasn't been cool like the Fonz.

@Buddha @ClocktowerEchos You cannot ban GMs or Co-GMs.

There are a couple possible states that I haven't patched. For example, you can ban someone and then add them as a Co-GM.

@Mahz Okay - can only ban 5? (I kick people from Rp's due to rule breaks, so was running those names into some of my longer running RPs - I'm gonna need more than 5 for some LOL)

Also, found out you can't ban a mod that has been kicked from an RP >.> (Not that I think that needs to be fixed, was just funny to find out lol)

I imagine it’s only currently maxed at five banneable users per RP due to the fact it is an experimental feature. Though, yes, most of us have larger RPs so it would be nice going forward to have the list be bigger as soon as it is feasible.

While I do think the banlist needs to be much higher (or infinite), I can at least have my entire blacklist banned at once!

This could easily be abused. Send a PM to the person and say why they're banned. I don't believe that banning should be used for your personal blacklist, but only for important reasons (like they won't stop spamming your thread).

Having it at 5 also poses the question to the GM, "does this person need to be banned from my roleplay?" It is not really a tool that should be used a a blocking feature for people you dislike nor want to ignore, but it's a tool for when you believe that your roleplay is at a risk of being derailed by some unruly contributors.
