[IC] Code Lyoko: XANA's Return

[Gambit]

"Hello," Lino replied to the kid that had come up to him, glad that he spoke English. "I may be a little lost; this is my first day here. I would have started school earlier but had something come up last minute, so I missed orientation" he lied. "Do you have a map or anything I could use?" He glanced around at all the kids on the lawn. "And do you know why no one is in classes yet?"

Flippy was kinda suspicious about this guy at first but he pushed that aside. "Well first off no I don't have a map, but I do know where most things are at this school because of orientation. Second no ones in class because there's a police investigation going on today so lucky break." Flippy finished with a smile. He looked around for a few seconds. "Are you looking for someone? Or something? Or someplace? I basically got all day." he said.

[Gambit]

"Oh, good to hear, if classes are cancelled I will have more time to get used to everything here," Lino said, smiling back, though he was a bit concerned about the police investigation. He couldn't be discovered here at any cost. "Now that you mention it," he continued, "I am looking for a girl named Bella. She has blueish-black hair, and stands about maybe this tall," he said as he held his hand out about 5 feet off the ground. "Do you know her by chance?"

[Josive]
"Hmm, yeah, it's possible he was never in there. It could be a coincidence Aeilita is in there even. Maybe this William doesn't even know anything about Lyoko." Josive said, digging into his food between thoughts. "Not sure how to bring up that subject. We can't just say, 'Hey! You were that kid that was lost! Happen to know anything about Lyoko? If not, don't think we're crazy or anything.'" he whispered, trying not to let anyone else here. He even thought himself crazy for managing to get what he just said out.

{Airbus Industrie}

The pilot of an airplane is taking off from Charles de Gaulle Airport, after talking with the tower and getting a clearance for departure. After several minutes they are off the runway, and already several thousand feet in the air. "Take over for me, I forgot to go before we took off." the French captain said to his new co-pilot. The co-pilot nodded, and took control as the captain sat up and left the co-pilot alone.

A few seconds later, the instruments all start going off, and the GPS sparks. A new destination appears on the GPS and other instruments, before the plane starts turning by itself too it's new destination. "Uhh, captain. Something's going on." the nervous co-pilot said over his shoulder. The captain flushed, walking up and taking his seat. "What's going on?" he asked the co-pilot, seeing all the controls had changed. "I have no idea. Everything just changed on it's own, then the plane started flying itself!" the co-pilot said.

After a few radio calls, the pilot and co-pilot tried to regain control, but to no avail. "Mayday, mayday, we have lost control. This is a dire emergency, please respond." the pilot tried one last time. The radio cut out after the first announcement. "What do we do captain?" the co-pilot asked, turning to look at his superior. The captain looked as if he had lost hope, and just leaned back in his chair.

Flippy basically fell again whence heard Bella's name "Actually she's a friend of mine. Funny story we became friends on the first day though it was kinda weird how we became friends..." Flippy stopped because he almost just lost his train of thought. "Where was I... Oh yes I know where she went I can show you if you want?" Flippy said.

[Gambit]

<Bella>

"Hmm I don't know. Cheer up, I'm sure we will think of something though if we get a chance to talk to him," Bella said. Apparently Josive was still in a mood. Oh well. "I think it would be best just to come right at him and tell him that we know about Lyoko actually. If he's been there he will know what we are talking about. And if not, it isn't really that big of a deal. Doesn't really matter if he thinks we are a little strange. Could just say Lyoko's a new video game or some other excuse if we are wrong about him. We can't just let this chance slip by though," Bella said, taking a couple bites of her food, deep in thought as she tried to figure out how everything could play out.

<Lino>

He knows her? Lucky break, Lino thought to himself. At least she was making friends here. "That would be great," He said to the boy with a smile. "Though if she is busy I wouldn't want to bother her. Just wanted to make sure she got here safely. She's from America, like me." Lino got up from the bench. "Lead the way, um what did you say your name was again?"

"Oh my name is Flippy, but that really dosen't matter I need to show you where Bella is." Flippy while he gestured for them to get a move on. "If she didn't move then Bella should still be getting food." Flippy said as he began walking.

[Gambit]

"Alright," Lino said, following after Flippy. He felt a bit apprehensive about seeing his sister again, but if all went as planned she wouldn't even know he was there. Then after he he made sure she was okay he could go and try to work out where he'd be staying for the time being. Maybe he could find an old unused building or something on campus. It would be much easier than trying to live out in the city. He just had to not get caught.

<Lino>:
As you follow after Flippy, some tall man comes out of a building and knocks into you by mistake. "Oh, excusez-moi." He said first think, before straitening out his coat and hat and getting a good look at you. "I didn't see you." He added, noticing you to be American and most likely preferring English. "Do you mind if I ask you teo a couple of questions?" he said, looking back and forth between you and Flippy. Luckily it didn't appear he recognized you... so much for being a detective.

Flippy shifted nervously because of the detective train of thought was derailed. "Well we're kinda busy at the moment, but I mean I'm mostly showing a new kid around who missed the first day." Flippy replied to the detective.

[Gambit]

Lino stiffened upon hearing the detective's request, but relaxed slightly when it became clear the guy didn't know him. Still, he wasn't a student here, so it would be best to try not to make him suspicious. "Yeah, I missed yesterday's orientation," Lino said. "I really don't know anything about what is going on here, I only got here an hour ago, so I probably wouldn't be much help in your investigation, sorry," he explained to the detective, hoping that he wouldn't pick up on the lie.

[Teknonick]

<Lino/Flippy>:
The detective looked at you both one last time after you denied his request. "Well, if you have time later, I'll be free all day." the detective said to both of you, nodding, and then walking off to a group of officers far in the distance huddled around a radio they seemed too engrossed in to notice anything else.

[Gambit]

"Will do," Lino said to the detective, glad he was leaving them alone now. He looked back at Flippy. "Strange, I wonder what exactly is going on here. Anyways, lets keep going."

"Okay bye" Flippy said to the detective before turning back to the new kid. "Oh it's a long story about why the cops are here. Anyway Bella's just over here" Flippy said as the two got closer to the cafeteria.

[Gambit]

Lino gulped, slightly nervous again as they neared the building. Through the big windows lining the walls he saw a mass of kids milling about. Even out here Lino could hear the constant hum of conversations melding together to create a constant white noise. "Well this should be it," Lino said, stopping once they were by the door. "I can find my own way from here. Thank you for your time," he told Flippy with a slight smile.

Flippy smiled back and said good bye to the new kid, and made his way over to Bell and Josive. He sat down next to Bella and waited a minute or two before speaking "So how have your mornings gone so far?" Flippy asked his two friends.

[Josive]
"Hey." Josive responded to Flippy as he joined him and Bella at the table. "Nothing much. You seen that William kid walking around? We were debating where he came from, or why he's not on Lyoko like Aeilta. Or how to start a conversation with him." Josive said, looking down to eat another bite of food. "Creepy man walking around the school too." Josive added.

"You know... I sure wish we knew when an attack would start or not. Does it happen every couple of days, a week, a month? And when it does, how do we know when to react? Just yet another reason this is so dangerous." Josive said, looking around the room. He looked over at the table William had been sitting at before...

<Garsin>:
All of a sudden, your head starts to hurt for no apparent reason. Only a light tickle, but enough to nap at you like an annoying fly that won't go away. Then, some thought clicks in your head. Some idea, some otherworldly knowledge, something that may change the future. You can't explain what it is, but you know it would work. You feel yourself happier than normal, and a strange connection to that kid William who had left awhile ago.

Then, the kids at the other table, Bella and Flippy, start to feel strange to you. They almost feel like enemies. Like they are against your thoughts of a new world order. You can't kill them... that wouldn't seem right... not with your new view on life. But somehow you know they're endangering this new grand idea of yours. You even remember them sitting over there, as if you had seen them before... seen... you can't see?

Then, a flash of an image appears before your eyes, disappearing just as quick as it appeared. The Eye of XANA. You don't know why, but you know it's an enemy. Much deadlier than Bella and Flippy... one that you feel you would be willing to kill, if not for some strange connection in it's use in this new world order.

Who are they? A voice says in your head. It was directed at Flippy and Bella. The question didn't seem like your own, but either way you knew the question was important anyway. Find out who they are. What were they doing on Lyoko. Lyoko. Another familiar name... a place? Possibly that is where XANA is. Destroying Lyoko would destroy XANA... and your dreams too. How are these two kids connected to it?

[NightmareInd]

Sam shook his head at Garsin's question. "Nope. On one of my old schools we sometimes had cops around to search lockers for drugs, but they didn't came with so many at once. I think something big is going on." He then saw that Garsin was spacing out a bit. "Are you okay? You seem distracted by something."

[Jollan]

Garsin
"Hmm? Oh, nothing really. Its just that, I have a an off feeling about today. Like something is going to happen but I'm not all together sure. I had it for a brief period yesterday but then it seemed to go away. I guess its just homesickness or something but I feel fine."

[Gambit]

<Bella>
"Hey Flippy," Bella said to him as he joined her and Josive. "Yeah, we actually found the new kid. He ran off really fast though, not sure why. What about you? Anything interesting happen?" she said, finishing her food as Josive voiced his concern. "I agree, this not knowing is a bit tricky. There's nothing in the journal about it?" she asked.

<Lino>
Lino walked into the cafeteria on high-alert. I can't get caught in here, he thought to himself. Where is she? He scanned the crowded cafeteria for any sign of his sister. There! Right next to the kid that had just escorted him here was Bella, talking to the two at the table. She looked much older than when he had last seen her. She seemed fine, even happy. I suppose I didn't completely screw things up for her, he thought. He almost wanted to go up to Bella and tell her how sorry he was for all the trouble he had caused. But he couldn't seem to convince himself to actually go up to her. What if she hated him now? What if she could not forgive him? And anyways, seeing him here would probably big a big shock. He didn't want to startle her so much on only the second day of school. So instead he turned around and walked back out the doors. Time to move on for now, he thought. I have to find someplace safe to stay before it gets too late.
