"Indeed I do, though I am afraid to ask what you have stowed away in there..." said a groggy sounding Rayland as he pinched the bridge of his node while pulling himself out of the captain's seat. "I'll explain later the rest of the crew when we jump into slipspace. For now, we're to regroup with the SWS Howling Sun after preparations are done here...Which reminds me..." Rayland reached over to his console and tapped away on several of the touch interface sensors. The key strokes prompted the same holo-screen from before to illuminate, showing Kaite and Riblou with another passenger. Going by the cargo manifests and the crew rosters, the were just about wrapped up. This was also true going by the dispersal of most of the dock crews with their tasks already accomplished, leaving only the essential personnel to assist with preparations and departure of the frigate. With a few more taps, Rayland linked the built-in vox of his console to Kaite's communicator. "Kaite, this is Rayland. How's the preparations out there? Are all the new crew members accounted for?"

Kaite watched Riblou as he took his time to think. It was just standard procedure for the boy not to ask Riblou anything unless he wasn't in any sort of hurry since it often took a bit or he'd get distracted and forget what he was thinking about. Kaite found this tiring at times, although he was the one that often engaged in such conversations. That in mind, he found it hard to be mad at the big lunk. With a sigh, Kaite recomposed himself, having gotten comfortable leaning on the railing which he felt seemed unprofessional, especially with one more rolling up the gangplank. He was a little curious, himself, having never heard of aquatic chimeras. Something about the process of DNA splicing made it easier for mammalian species than any others. That and how inconvenient the tank...tank seemed. Kaite fluttered his tail at Riblou's mention of having never seen a chimera with one, though mostly ignored it, tapping a finger in Achieng's direction. With a green highlight and a check next to the name, he smirked, softly. "Here, conveniently enough" he chuckled after her introduction, clutching his menu hand into a fist for a couple seconds, closing the crew manifest upon its apparent completion. "Velcome to zeh Infamous Alto, I am Officer uf Operations Jericho Kaite...ehrm, zough I suppose right now I am zeh Administrative Assistant..." he went on, sounding a bit unsure of his position. It was never entirely established what he was on the ship, having just barely been around for a year, or, at the very least, he'd forgotten what it was. He shook his head in a dismissive manner before asking, "Iz zehr any luggage I can help you vith?" The thought also occurred to him that he should probably let Riblou get to work...and that her luggage may very well be included in the mess that was almost finished being loaded onto the ship.
Achieng smiled, and moved her hand in a slashing motion. Only seconds later did she realize that she should be doing the thing with her head instead. She couldn't remember, though, if 'no' meant up and down head motion, or side to side head motion. With a soft chuckle, she said it out loud instead. "No. My things are already being loaded. Most of them are on the way to the lower deck. They've built me a nice sleeping tank, or so I have been told. I will see when I get there." She was not fully certain of the layout of the ship, but figured she would learn like everyone else. "I am happy to meet you, Kaite." She bowed her head to him, then maneuvered her tank backward smoothly. She started up the ramp to the ship with the faint sloshing sound of water fading in her wake.

Arms folded behind his back after slipping off his COMANDR (Communications Observations Managing And Navigations Drive Registry) glove while curiously watching Achieng make gestures which he didn't understand. Politely, though, he refrained from commenting since he assumed she was in fact not a chimera. This was confirmed by her behavior, being unlike usual people that he had observed. "Ah, I vould be sure to inspect zeh apparatus at a time before vee jump. I am curious how it iz designed in the event of slipspace transit" Kaite went on in a more friendly tone as he took off the eyepatch, replacing it with his standard work glasses. In all honesty, he saw nothing wrong with his request to see her 'bed' at some point, a concept which in any other instance would come off...noncontextual. "Now, about zeht tour! Ehm, Riblou, I thank you" Kaite chirped, his demeanor changing rapidly since the arrival of Achieng. His ears perked up from a buzz in his earbud from the captain. "Sir! All new arrivals have been checked in and registered. I'll make routes later to doublecheck authenticity, but for now we're green" he spoke into his wrist communicator, his tone cold and professional as he spoke to the captain.

“I’m seeing all checks on my end Kaite, looks like we’re set. We’ll be departing shortly so make your final checks now.” replied Rayland though his terminal before cutting the connection and turning back to Sel. “Well, with all things considered, I think we’re ready to-“ “Captain Rayland Sul’tari, all operation checklists have been fulfilled. We are ready for departure. Awaiting your orders.” the VI suddenly interrupted, just as it confirmed with the reports being made with all sections around the ship. “…Thank you Towan, I was about to say that…” Rayland rolled his eyes as he made himself comfortable back into the captain’s chair and opened a ship-wide communications channel. “Attention crew, this is your Captain speaking. All new personnel and cargo have now been accounted for and our energy and full reserves are at their peak. Currently we are go for launch. All crew members are to report to their assigned stations for takeoff. That is all.” With the announcement done, Rayland turned to the ever-at-the-ready ship VI’s eyeball. “You’re up Towan.” was all that Rayland had to say. When he first got his hands on the Infamous Alto, he learned that Towan of course was not the brightest tool in the shed but what the VI on the other hand made up on the other hand was its surprisingly spartan and diverse programming. The original owner of the ship had established several unique hot-phrases with the VI, each phrase encoded with an algorithm of various instructions and commands to carry throughout vessel. With this particular phrase, Towan was immediately at work manipulating the Infamous Alto’s systems under its direct power. Looking back at his terminal, Rayland could observe the docking ramps folding inward and then locking up before sealing in with the hull. Then came the ping request to the docking crews to unlock and release the clamps that held the frigate in place. Almost immediately did he then confirm that the crews outside had replied as the magnetized claws opened and retracted before the ship’s mass was governed once more by the station’s tractor beams, pulling the vessel forward. “We are mobile.” Towan reported. “The Infamous Alto is now en-route to the SWS Howling Sun. ETA, ten minutes.” The frigate slowly moved through the metal skeleton of the never sleeping station, passing by the many docking bays and logistical facilities interconnected by a series of construction spires teeming with maintenance drones. The crews there were many and at constant work maintaining other docked vessel, whether they be within artificial gravity or operating in the vacuum with special zero-G equipment to navigate around each ship. Along the way, the Infamous Alto was met by several other ships following the same path. Each ship varied with different hull configurations and armament layouts; some carrying little to no weaponry and thus deducible to support and transport vessels. The other craft that were actually armed to kill were clearly patrol and freelance destroyers; Rayland counted at least ten combat ships and adding that to the Howling Sun’s own personal compliment of war ships, it was becoming more obvious on how serious the Galactic Coalition was with this mission. Eventually for all the ships in transit, they finally had arrived to the massive port-side of the SWS Howling Sun, leaving some of the command staff in awe as most of them have never seen any vessel quite like it. Rayland only passed a small grin, knowing that there were even bigger warships that could dwarf the Howling Sun easily but admittedly, nothing in the sector aside from the Asuka and the Dev’rana could compare to its immense size and staggering arsenal. Much like the Ascended Force Commander that lead her, the SWS Howling Sun was Sphere warship, specifically a Highland Wolves warship. It's rough edged design and sleek profile attributed to its fast and powerful combat prowess as did most Highland Wolves vessels. Uniquely for most Sphere warships, the spherical sections of the craft were in actuality the craft itself as most of the vessel's functions and combat mechanics derived from the metallic bubbles while other portions are normally considered necessary add-ons such as armor, weapons, and other varied purposes. Each spherical section generated it's own power and artificial gravity that could also be regulated to other sections in case of an emergency. Even more so was that the vessels could maneuver with the hull itself rather than utilizing it's own anti-gravity fields, allowing for quick re-positioning, especially when bringing all of its weaponry to one side. Admittedly though to himself, Rayland felt nearly invisible and thankful knowing that this warship was on his side and vice versa. In the briefest moments, control over the ship soon left the station only to be reinstated by the skirmish carrier, causing a temporary change in gravity. As the ships, were tugged closer to the Howling Sun, As soon as the Howling Sun’s profile over took the bridge’s sensor screen, Rayland leaned back and asked allowed, “So has anyone ever been ferried by a carrier in an en massed slipspace jump?”

Sel chuckled at his comment about what she had in her bag."Well it really is best that you didn't know to be honest. Mainly because I am sure you would not know what half of the things I use did." Studying aliens was a tricky business, and without tools to scan, break, open and cut them how was she meant to do her job? Also her SMG... That was a important and sensitive piece of equipment. "Well, at least we are going to be underway." The Vexi mentioned before moving over to her post for the time being, choosing to set up her small medical/lab later, after all docking and undocking were not the smoothest of operations given the mix of gravity and landing. Soon enough they were passing through the so called fleet that had assembled, it was not horrible for what they had to do but it could have been better. After docking with the SWS Howling Sun Sel made sure to strap down her bag as well as herself a little more for the jump that was coming up. "Well, Only really once before. I was asleep through. Not sure it counts."

Kaite's checks were hastened, eager to fill his new position. He went about it all as best as he could while giving a 'shotgun tour', doing his best to avoid stairs or ladder sections which lead down to areas which he guessed were beyond her clearance, anyway. On that note, he didn't entirely know her rank on the ship, though...

~~~~~
Ugh...a recommendation from Kathrine? What did she want with me and Achieng of Chima? If she read their file, they'd see the problem. There was no sweet talking me...for what, I do not entirely understand.
Frankly I am...hrm...Tch, the thought. I mean, I...I-...there is...so much that I do not understand. Looking over the note as it messily paged the top corner of my left lens of my glasses...well...
No...
I have felt more lonely.
And I will never forget it, no matter how badly they would wish, otherwise!
~~~~~
=========

Kaite glanced back at Achieng as they lead them to the bridge, their expression narrowing in a skeptical manner. "Ent here vee haf zeh bridge" They said in a half cheerful tone which sounded fairly artificial. The swing in their emotion having occurred at just about the moment when the door opened to the bridge.

Katherine from navigations...with the information she had on Achieng as well as experience with Kaite as well as herself, she was concerned with his rapid decline in the last few weeks leading up to the last jump. His behavior being keyed to textbook definitions of depression. Katherine had pulled for Achieng from the moment of reading their application, slightly aware of suspicion surrounding Kaite's fixation on aquatic creatures, figuring he could benefit from someone to talk to.

"As cold as he may be..." She mused, finishing a small entry in her log as the door opened and...

I looked out over the people at their terminals, fingers folded behind my back as I descended the three steps to the main floor, crossing past the captain who I offered a bow to; whom I was sworn to repeat such arduous rituals before.

Assuming the attractive consultant would be able to manage themselves while I tended to business, I scanned myself in. Of course, there was nothing for me to actually be there for; punctuality sharpens the conceptualized personality.

I would die to please.
~~~~~
After a few clicks, Kaite looked up from his terminal, wishing to confirm what he had just read on his end. His ears twitched and flattened against his head as he looked up at the craft through the shielded windows. The answer was a soundlessly resounding 'NO'. Hiding behind his terminal, he did what he could in regards to weapon specs which had been disabled on a hot reading scenario, unable to target allies...not like he had even tried. Prey knows when it is among its greater.
Kaite was left speechless as he simply watched the readings and the floating mass which slowly drifted by the window.
Achieng watched the massive ships go by, her topaz eyes shining with wonder. She maneuvered her tank closer to the window, feeling quite like a child about the whole thing, but unable to stop from staring. "It's so grand... I've never seen anything of the like... I thought the Infamous Alto was large, but this is simply astounding." The word in her native language for space translated loosely to 'sea of stars'. No time had she ever felt this more accurate than right now. "I am lucky." To think a little fry from the murky backflow could grow up and work in such a beautiful place. She shut her eyes and sent a silent prayer to her mother, to watch over her and the rest of the crew from the ocean of spirits. Looking around, she saw Kaite, who was really the only person she was slightly familiar with. "Ah. Mister Kaite, is there somewhere specific I should be during the slipspace travel?"
Adi stood mostly silently, listening to the two organics conversation, as well as the Captain communicating with Kaite regarding every new members arrival before the ship started off. As ships outside moved with the Infamous Alto and the captain asked about if they had ever been ferried by something like this and the android simply blinked. "I was not yet ensembled completely during the travel needed to bring Hybrid supplies in order for creation." Adi responded, indicating that it was just in pieces and supplies when it traveled. After fully assembled, training was key for the passed three years. Watching Sel move and strap her things and herself in prepration, Adi did the same and strapped itself so it didn't go flying around the ship.
Military grade NanoMass is one of the most tightly controlled substances in the galaxy. NanoMass in general is tightly controlled, but there’s only so much one can do with the civilian grade stuff, due to the baseline coding limitations in each individual nanite. But a few cubic centimeters of unrestricted military grade grey gloop can turn a basement lab into a fission bomb factory. Understandably, military grade NanoMass can’t just be shipped unsecured on any old civilian transport craft. It certainly isn’t allowed to buy a seat and walk around the cabin. And that is why a medium sized secure crate ended up in the Infamous Alto’s cargo hold unopened. “Javelin Platform mk-1” was printed in big letters on the side, with it’s shipping number below. The crate was indeed listed on the Infamous Alto’s cargo manifest, and it had been loaded without any problems. The shipping instructions specified it was to be opened once the Alto was under way, but their busy schedule meant that nobody had gotten around to doing that yet. A light tapping began emanating from the cargo crate, echoing around the cargo hold. It went quiet for a minute, then resumed, louder. The tapping grew more insistent, finally becoming a loud knocking sound, but there was still no response. The crate went silent again. Suddenly, a shining chrome blade shot out of the side of the crate, quickly slicing through the secure clasps. The blade widened into a wedge, and slowly pushed open the crate’s lid. A large blob of chrome liquid crawled out of the crate and down onto the floor with a light plop. The blob then quickly began to twist and turn, rising upwards into a column. Arms sprouted from the mass silver, and the base of the column split into legs. The top pinched off to form a head, and the middle adopted the shape of a human torso. Then the details started to appear; fingers, chin, nose, feet. In seconds, the blob had transformed into a well defined silver human female. After a few more seconds, sections of silver started to change colour and shift into clothing, and before long a young woman opened her eyes. “That’s better,” Javelin said as she stretched her arms. “Terribly rude of them to leave a lady locked in a box.” She turned around and gave her crate a critical look, then retrieved a small case from the bottom. Without any further delay, Javelin opened the cargo bay door and wandered down the ship’s corridors until she found a person. “Hello good chap,” she said jovially, “might I speak to the Captain?”
His expression turned to a slight tinge of worry from Achieng's question. He'd never been outside of a cryopod during a jump and had no idea what to expect. Well, there was his dream about being pulled apart which he had to base his concerns upon, although most of the speculation was based on other people's interpretation. This in mind, he wasn't entirely certain if his dream was by the fault of slipspace... Other people have dreams. "I..." He starts, his tongue catching in his throat as he recomposed himself, standing from his useless terminal, signing off with a click. There was a palpable pause in his words as he looked at the terminal and then back out the window, shaking his head before taking a few steps towards the door. He came again, his voice more collected and...cold, "I vould advise you hold onto somezink...if you are able to" the comment apparently directed towards her mode of transportation.
Riblou had been walking towards the cargo bay, after all after kaite left with the fish lady he tried to remember what the captain had asked him to do... something about cargo... so he set off, hopefully remembering what he was supposed to do when he got there. As he walked everyone seemed real hurried, which was when the big lug was almost thrown off his feet. Only a lucky hand hold and his titanic strength kept him upright. As he thought they must have just taken off he saw something he didn't expect, a lady coming out of the cargo hold. He knew that no one was supposed to be in there during a take off... except him he guessed as he had been making his way towards the hold. "Uh... no one's supposed to be in there... Who are you lady?"
“Goodness you’re a rather large fellow aren’t you! Chimera I suppose, maybe a touch of Old Earth primate in there somewhere?” Javelin said curiously as Riblou towered over her by easily two feet. She had to crane her neck at an uncomfortable angle to even look him in the eye. “ Anyways, I’m the AI construct Much Ado-oh hold on this is ridiculous,” Javelin said. Her neck abruptly reverted to the chrome colour of nanomass, and extended until her head was eye-level with Riblou. “Much better. My apologies, allow me to begin again; I am Lt. Commander (retired) Much Ado About Nothing currently operating the Javelin mk-1 experimental nanomass mobile platform. My that’s rather a mouthful isn’t it; perhaps just call me Javelin. Now, I’ve been assigned to the ship and instructed to report to Captain Rayland Sul’tari, but first, it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Mr….?”
A grin creped across his face as Rayland heard everyone’s responses to the massive carrier outside and the query on the experience of mass scale warp travel. He watched as the crew around him seemingly bracing themselves as if they were about to expect a rocky flight though space and time. They weren't wrong in that sense but not exactly in the way they would eventually encounter and later perceive what was about to come. It was a guilty pleasure of him not informing anyone in the bridge about what to expect that amused him so; Rayland’s only perceived innocence was that fact that no harm was going to befall anyone, aside from a churning stomach inflicted by mental dizziness and cognitive questioning. Outside, the Infamous Alto and the other transport vessels were at last locked to the portside of the Howling Sun, once again held to the carrier by rows of securing clamps and gravity anchors. From Alto’s bridge, everyone could see the endlessly long reaching bow of the carrier almost shooting into the dark void of stars past the ever present nebulae and its reflective glow. While Towan was processing yet another procedural checklist for their departure, another string of ships came into view, flying past the Alto as a second massive carrier soon arrived at the scene trailing behind her escorts; the ACS Asuka. Almost equal in size compared to the Howling Sun, the Asuka bore a sleeker and lengthier profile that its Sphere created counterpart however presented little in terms of onboard firepower. Developed by the ATC, the ACS Asuka stayed true to its role as a carrier as nearly more than half of its internal mass is devoted to hanger space and thus carried legions of fighter and bomber squadrons within her bowels. Going by this fact, it is no wonder the Asuka travels along side with an entire fleet of support cruisers. As if the local space wasn't crowded enough, the CWS Dev’rana appeared on the Infamous Alto’s holo-imagery and coming up to the Howling Sun’s starboard. Built by Kotorian and Oun’mai shipcrafters and engineers, the Dev’rana is a massive warship, easily dwarfing both of the human vessels and appearing the most armed to with dozens of weapon arrays and escorted by a small and yet heavily armed compliment of battle cruisers and interceptor frigates. Though obviously reinforced, hints of structural damage could be identified by the naked, noting the ship’s long service in possibly countless combat tours. Much of the command staff on the Alto’s bridge, whom were focused at their sensitive tasks at hand could no longer ignore their craving curiosity any longer and watched as the entire expeditionary force’s many vessels formed up outside Falymar Station. “Captain Rayland Sul’tari. Preparations for departure have been met. Sensor pings from SWS Howling Sun, ACS Asuka, and CWS Dev’rana confirm that the entire expeditionary force has been fully accounted for. Estimation of time till- It was rather uncommon for Towan to fall short while communicating a status report. But then again, feeling the tremors of an immense gravitational disturbance of course never goes unnoticed or ignored; this is especially in the case when said gravity tidal waves were being generated by the three more largest and more fearsome warships in the entire sector. “Gravitational distortion detected twelve o’ clock, one hundred fifty one point fifty four kilometers.” Towan reported. Before in front everyone in the entire fleet was an anomaly that could be only described as something akin to a black hole; though not the destructive kind crew and captains fear alike whenever it was faced however. With the Jump Drives of each carrier now activating, the resonance generated by the ships had literally bended space and time at their jump vector. As if looking into giant water droplet, the surrounding space and any objects within it was reflected back in a spherical-like manner, contorting the light of stars as the wormhole seemingly spun due to the effects of the gravitational forces at work. Without warning, the Howling Sun begun to accelerate along with the other ships as they closed in on the wormhole, allowing only few minutes for preparations for the jump before the inevitable occurred. “All crewmen, interstellar jump will initiate in five minutes.” Towan announced through the Infamous Alto’s ship wide band. The command staff and everyone else onboard began to brace themselves but not in the manner of one who would be anticipating a violent collision of mass. Before long, the high pitched mechanical bellow from the Howling Sun's Jump Drive echoed into the Infamous Alto hull as it ignited, beginning the interstellar jump almost immediately. Each carrier and their respective escorts were then engulfed in a sea of shining and swirling spectacles that danced around each vessel in which the artificial phenomenon was known as a Warp Bubble. The Warp Bubbles were responsible for keeping anything within them secured and safe as the bubble ferried the ships into slipspace. "Here we go..." Rayland muttered as he watched the event unfold.
As the Howling Sun's own Warp Bubble crossed the wormhole, the briefest of flashes of light poured into the bridge until it quickly vanished as it came. Sensors from outside pooled live footage into the monitors, showing an endless surge of stars flying past the Howling Sun and her escorts. Though the jump appeared to have come and gone without incident, many in the bridge were quick to disagree as many began to show signs of obvious fatigue and sickness. One officer whom never felt the effects of an interstellar jump before quickly held his stomach and mouth tight and shut, resisting the urge to vomit his guts out all over the floor. Rayland observed the weary crewmen attempting to recuperate themselves knowing full well why they were even feeling like this. However instantaneous as things appeared when the jump started, there was actually far more behind the split-second of flashing blindness that ensued and everyone's mind had recorded it despite the apparent dilation in time. The moment their bubble had touched the wormhole, everyone in the task force had experienced a brief sense of spaghettification. The event that quickly took place had stretched the mass of everything, whether it had been biological or mechanical to the near equivalent to an entire lightyear's distance before reality was corrected and stabilized within the bubble. Most people at this point could recollect an extreme case of tunnel vision for several minutes, watching as everything around them was quickly pulled and stretched out as if reality were a piece of gum. Compared to the minuscule effects of a basic slipspace transit, a interstellar jump such as this was agreeably a very different kind of beast. "I sure do hope the floor is still pure of any reflexive bile." announced Rayland as sarcastic order to keep the floor clean. With all the ships under the SWS Howling Sun still accounted for, they were on their way to the Quox system.
Achieng had enough time to marvel, childishly wide-eyed at the size of the ships in their group. When she heard the five minute call before the jump, she pressed a button on her controls, that would flatten the treads of her tank to the floor, and give them a low level of magnetic current. That would keep her from moving. Achi herself looked anxiously around at the crew, wondering just what would happen when the jump began. She wouldn't find out for some time, still. As soon as the Warp Bubble made contact, Achieng's eyes rolled back and she fainted. Her body slid downward further into her tank, and all that could be seen of her was a shock of white hair. One of her arms was sticking out in a rather comical fashion. It was actually somewhat common for her race to not handle space jumping well. The environment they stayed in was not prone to large movements. Her brain simply didn't know what to do with the sensation that the world around her was in flux, and so, it shut down in self-protection.
“All crewmen, interstellar jump will initiate in five minutes.” Sel peered up to the intercom within the room she had been setting up, all her minor lab equipment and basic medical tools had all been neatly laid out before her. At the sound of their departure she may sure that they were all secured tightly in their little cases before moving back up to the bridge to take a seat."That was some impressive display outside by the way" She stated to no one really, she was just mentioning about the ships outside. Which was odd to her, was this really a threat that needed so many? Picking up her helm from her side she placed it on her head, she did not have much time to think on the whole threat matter as they soon started their jump into slip space. Damn it was one hell of a ride to say the least! Though thanks to her suit it was not as bad as she was expecting, but sdhe could not say the same for the others... As it calmed down a little she got on the com "If anyone is feeling unwell I can give you something -ugh- for it" Even her insides did not settle all that right, at least her exoskeleton was built for this kind of thing.
As Kaite stepped out into the hall, they looked both ways and sighed, breaking out into a shivering fit as the door slid closed behind him. He wasn't the biggest fan of new things, and if it was anything like the last jump...well.
Doing his best to collect himself with shaking his hands and trying to control it all, he started off down the hall.
~~~~

~~~~
He sat in his room for a bit, changing out of his pants and such that had also been marred by 'sea sickness'. Throwing them in the cleanser with the rest of his uniform, he changed into his fallback attire. The call over the comms from Sel was enticing, although he concluded that his 'symptoms' might be a bit more than the doctor was able to prescribe for. Still, it was worth checking out what other people might be getting. On a positive note, he wasn't queasy. Maybe a headache...
He stepped out of his room, straitening his tie and adjusting his holster webbing as he started off towards Sel's room, a noticeable two inches shorter without the boots.
Adi took a moment to glance to the intercom as it was announced that interstellar travel would begin in approximately five minutes. The android knew the effects of almost every type of travel, though actually experiencing them was another matter. Although the emotion software was offline, Adi was built to notably understand organic natural reaction to things like travel. If calculations were correct, just about everyone was going to feel something. More or less, nauseous, in which can create the action of vomiting. A aspect that was replicatible if Adi was given organic solid investable matter but was not a likely act that the organics would really want replicated.
When the jump happened, the android didn't move but the blank blue eyes narrowed a little as their vision seemed to be warped. Their right eye twitched a little before both optical receptors closed to take a moment to adjust systems. Indeed... Actually experiencing something was different from just being programmed with knowledge.
As expected as the android examined the room, just about every organic wasn't feeling so well. Doctor Sel quickly offering support. Unstrapping itself, the android stood and took something out of their pocket. It looked like a blue pill, but when clicking the top of it the pill soon expanded and grew, morphing into a large plastic blue bag with a circled solid entrance. A device made for releasing stomachal fluids from their mouth.
"Please use the proper equipment when feeling ill. Too avoid a further mess and the organic reaction of being ill as well when seeing vomiting fluids." Adi spoke as one crew member quickly grabbed it from his hands and promptly threw up in it.
Sitting in the lower decks, having arrived earlier, Jack mulled over a few documents that R3V had sent him about the mission. Missing colonies, no survivors, investigate, don't die. The usual. It all seemed a bit underwhelming to him and apparently him alone considering that the ship he was sitting in the lower decks of was about five minutes from jumping while in tow of a damn carrier. He shook his head and closed the wrist-based hologram projector and reclined in the seat he had fashioned for himself. He preferred it on the engineering decks of the larger ships. It was away from the people for the most part and he felt safer. He didn't enjoy riding in these oversized gun platforms. Hated it when he was in the military, hated it now. Too much can go wrong too fast and too many lives were at stake.
He just about fell out of the seat when the Jump happened, forgetting to actually prepare himself like a normal person would. He righted himself and could already feel his bowels trying to right themselves as well. For once, he was thankful that his armor could help with that. He reached down to check his equipment and make sure they made the start of the jump alright. He already knew that they were basically unaffected by the jump, but he still made sure. Faulty equipment was a death sentence.
After making sure everything was checked and not broken, he slung his rifle over his shoulder, made sure the safety was on, and clicked on the magnetic safety on his suit, turning a small light green on his shoulder. He did this just so those with hatred for bounty hunters would be put at ease a little, knowing that he couldn't actually draw his weapons at all. "Might as well head to the top deck and see how things are going...." He said to nobody in particular. He started the trek up the decks and to the main deck, greeting a few people along the way. He dared not take his helmet off. Not many people enjoy talking to somebody with a face that looks like he put it into an active rocket engine.
Stepping into the main room of the bridge, he took a place next to the door and leaned against the wall. At this point he could only wait for things to happen as he was not assigned any position in the ship. Least not yet. He could fake it and say he was a patrolman, but he decided against it.
He did happen to make sure that his credentials were in order before somebody flipped out on him, however. He was going to avoid a night in a brig at all costs.
Achieng came to after several minutes, groaning and clutching her head as she resurfaced into the sharp, cold air of the ship. She hid her face, embarrassed, as she straightened her tunic and wrung the excess water from her hair. She pulled up a map of the ship, and hustled her tank right down to the med bay.
"Ah, Doctor?" She wasn't sure of everyone's names just yet. "I would appreciate your help." Her head was still spinning, and she did not like the sensation of constant movement at all.
Sel got her tools ready once again back at the lab, after all she expected at least a few people to come complaining that they were sick, and as it turned out she was right on the money as one of the crew came on through into the lab. "Welcome, please, take a seat and tell me what is the matter." Head chest or stomach normally had different treatments, much better than just stuffing people full of pills like most auto-docs that she had seen on the streets. Removing her helmet she waited for a answer to her question.
