I think Jeanne wins because of years of practice / experience / dedication / often fighting other Devil Slayers as a result of said Slayers, having an advantage. That and they're probably equal (roughly) in power.

Jeanne's magic is unique. Noone has full experience fighting against it to its truest lengths.

When levels of strength / speed / ability are equal, experience wins.

However Sage won't submit or anything humiliating.

If I may: I would like to have sage do some massive attack at jeanne before passing out due to magical exhaustion. But of course he misses her. The way I see it: I need to change Jeanne's view point on devil slayers.

I made a fix.

And I also have a suggestion: he can launch his massive attack at Jeanne and rather than it missing, Hana shows up and protects Jeanne instead. Though this suggestion mainly comes from the idea that I wanna be active and involved in things too. x3
