Kuhaku Shiro - Lakebed

He had every intention to fight the Grimm head on alone. He was fully prepared to take a nasty first hit. He realized what a bad situation this was and knew he had no real plan on getting out of it unharmed. Just as he was about to launch himself at the frog-face, a hand grabbed his arm and broke him out of his tunnel-vision focus. Turning his head, his eyes met with the 'other sword-and-board' user. Shiro really was bad with names. The guy pointed with his other hand towards the surface and for a moment, Shiro didn't quite understand. Thinking he maybe meant for Shiro to give up and head back, he shook his head and pointed at the pile of loot. He wasn't about to abandon Sapphire's daggers when they were so close to being recovered. Shooting the guy an angry look, it wasn't until he noticed the displaced trail of what looked like bullets whizzing through the water towards the Amphibian Grimm that Shiro reconsidered taking the guy's advice and resurfacing. Gren did say that they were here to help. Maybe they had some sort of plan? At the very least, once Shiro surfaces he can use his Semblance to give them a better fighting edge.

"Agh! No, I should reserve that for emergencies instead of using it every chance I get!"
He didn't know what to do. He really needed to work on that 'planning' thing more.
Shiro exhaled another bunch of bubbles out of exasperation.
"Fine! I'll bite!"
Shiro turned back to face the black-haired guy and nodded once, jabbing a thumb upwards towards the surface.
Looking at the Grimm and to the pile of loot, he didn't feel good about abandoning it. But, he knew where it was. He could easily return to it.
Kicking off of the lakebed and exhaling continuously as he rose through the waters, Shiro made his way back topside.
Unsure of himself and how to proceed once he made his way back down to face that Grimm.

Gren Orchid

"That's enough."

When Sapphire fired her shot at Ebon, Gren jumped forward towards Ebon. But not to attack but, but to save him. Namely by grabbing Ebon by The Kingdom and hurling him away from the cliff. Gren would have had a hard time maintaining his footing if he didn't use his own semblance to keep steady even on the slowly degrading dirt beneath him. "Sapphire, I'm sorry for what I said to you. I shouldn't have talked about it. But you need to control your impulses if attacking someone is how you show distress. And you Ebon, are an ass. I invited you to this party because I figured you could use some friends. And while I still need to earn that title, Sapphire is my friend. If you have something to say about her, you can bring it up with me. And if you keep talking shit about Shiro, I'm going to drown you in the lake." Gren took out the God Eater and used it to gun down Ebon's R-types, in case he thought about using them to continue to shoot at Sapphire.

Gren then aimed the God Eater at Ebon, ready to gun him down if he tries to fight back or use anymore R-Types. "Look at yourself Ebon. Is this what you want? You're alone here. Not even your teammate is going to back you up. Now I'm not saying you can't come with us to the party. But I want you to leave your weapon behind, and leave Sapphire alone." Gren looked at Ebon with cold but caring eyes, as if he was about to pull the plug to his comatose family member. His finger was on The God Eater's trigger, and from the fact it's in the Destruction Form, Gren is either going to riddle him with bullets or light Ebon on fire.

Abel Fulgurate – Airship Docks

As distracted by the antics of a merry ferret as his way, Abel perked up immediately when he became aware of the telltale signs of combat. Forgetting about Scoot, he stood up and turned around to look, and witnessed some guy bleeding on the edge of Sapphire's blade. For a few moments he stood taken aback; what was his buffoon of a leader doing now!? Nevertheless, with the sight of wielded weapons and a person in peril, his protective instincts fired. Out of habit he reached for the Ampere, only to discover rather quickly that he'd left it in his locker after Survival class, as any reasonable student would do. Why did so many students, including Ebon, Sapphire, Gren, and who knew how many people, have their weapons with them on what was supposed to be a party?

Abel groaned and rifled through his pockets, trying to find anything of use. To his good fortune, he discovered his leftover water grenade—not that, now that he thought about it, he really needed a weapon. With surprising frequency, the guardian would forget that he must be the second-biggest and second-strongest guy around. Pushing aside that revelation, he produced the water grenade and started toward Ebon as the fight erupted. On the way, he heard the pleas of Sepia and Delta's Eve to stop the fighting, but whatever the feud that existed between Abel's teammate and KESS's lone gentleman, he suspected that no polite request or application of logic would pierce either of their thick skulls. Instead, Abel planned to walk up, drench Ebon in water, and find out how much voltage it took to knock a college man out.

Before he could enact his electrifying plan, however, Abel found the first-largest and first-strongest guy around already beginning to mediate. The guardian eased up slightly, though he didn't put away his water grenade. In all fairness, Gren had the first right to discipline squabbling nutcases, it being his event after all. He watched the R-Types getting demolished before plodding over to Sapphire and laying a hand on her shoulder to try and calm her down. Funnily enough, he did so with next to no concern or sympathy for the troubled girl herself, and actually suspected she'd turn a knife or shotgun on him instead. Whatever. If his leader attempted to take out her anger on him, she'd receive a weighty zap too. Abel knew Sapphire could move fast, but he doubted she could outspeed the flow of electricity. What a ball-ache.

"But going to Vale means I have to get up and get dresssssed," a muffled voice came from Amy's bed, spiky red hair and feathers sticking up from between Amy's pillows. The covers moved, Amy pulling them up around her head and pulling the pillow down under the blanket.

A pillow fell from the bed, two instants before a rapidly outstretched arm could catch it. A muffled sigh and Amy slammed her head into the mattress, then winced, the same arm reaching out for the bottle of Ibuprofen on the bedside and shaking it.

Silence.

A pause.

Amy sat straight up, spikes of hair falling around her face.

"Change of plans. We're going to Vale. Throw me whatever clothes aren't dirty," she added, forgetting for the moment that the only clean clothes she had were nicely sealed in an unopened box from school distribution on her table.

Trad Oak & Diamond Frost - Vale drink trip

Diamond left the combat class still slumped. She was utterly useless, and nothing infuriated her more than being useless in front of the gun wielding chump. But alas even with the treatment, her spells in a magnitude that would actually affect the aquatic grimm took too long to cast for their aim to be true. Likewise her shadows can only effectively reach that far before she had to make them too thin.

The rest of the day dragged on in similar manner, with her computer in that class just refusing to boot up. She dragged herself to the gardens, wanting to just disappear for a while so noone would bother her with even more emotional baggage today.

Trad sat waiting for sometime but no one ever came back to the dorms. Was there a party or something? Whatever they were up to he was tired of sitting around. He's nerves will still on edge after talking with Ozpin and now waiting to meet his teammates just killed him with suspense. He needed a smoke and bad.

Getting off the bed Trad briskly exited the dorms to avoid running into anyone. Soon as he was outside he reached into his pocket and pulled out his pack, which he found to be empty. Cursing this day he knew going back in would just put him on edge more, then he remembered the gardens where he met that character Diamond. It might not have worked before, but maybe a walk through the garden would relax him.

Strolling around trying to keep his mind off everything, his eyes caught sight of a familiar black hat walking around as well. The upset expression on her face made it seem like she just had a close relative die. He knew she wasn't one for conversation, but the last time they talked it seemed to help, why not try again? “Well looks who's here? If I didn't know better I'd say you live in these gardens.”

It didn’t take long before the thug spotted a familiar mane of blond. “You just choose the same time to come around as I do.” she shrugged, “Violating my sacred grounds.” she huffed. “Sorry, shitty day.” Diamond apologized, rubbing her eyes. “Ruined a friendship, was useless at class, that kinda shitty. I don’t think a smoke is gonna cut it today, I’m thinking about going to the town and getting wasted. And how are you today?”

Trad shook his head, “No need to apologize, my day hasn't been the greatest either. Missed my mission and lost my team.” He considered her offer for drinks. Getting wasted before meeting his team might not give the best first impression, but at this point he didn't really care. “Normally I'm not big on getting drunk, but I'm out of cigs and in desperate need of a pick me up… What the hell! Lead the way.”

Wordlessly Diamond thrown over her pack in a silent offer. Now she was a little curious about how one goes about losing their team, but figured it’d be something to talk about over a glass. “I hope you don’t mind Althesian stuff. Can’t go home but can do that.” she grinned.

One airship flight and wondering what was a bunch of oafs doing at the lake later, the duo started walking in the direction of diamond’s pub of choice. Her bad luck held consistent though, as the mother of all downpours started bombarding them with even more water. Cursing under her breath, she pointed to the nearest establishment. “That will have to do!”

Of all the times to not have his shield on him, it had to be when they needed an umbrella. Without questioning it Trad ran into the bar Diamond pointed to. “This place doesn't seem too bad.” He said looking around and wringing out his pony tail. There was nothing big or flashy about this bar, wooden tables and chairs occupied by everyday workers looking to get away from their troubles. Just what the doctor ordered.

Spotting an empty table next to a fireplace, Trad nudged Diamond and motioned toward it. “That looks like a good spot.” They made their way over and took the seats closest to the fire, helping dry off the two soaking sods. The waitress didn’t waste anytime getting to them so they could order their drinks. When they arrived Trad spoke first, “So… This ruined friendship. Anything you want to talk about?”

Putting her coat on the hanger, Diamond grabbed the menu hungrily from the waitress. “Not until I have a glass in my hand, possibly in my stomach. Ah! Good. Bring us a round… a bottle of this, please.”

Blinking a few times, the waitress regained her composure and left for the desired liquid. Setting in one of the seats next to the fireplace, Diamond sighed in relief. “At least the place looks nice. I got a favorite already but this looks like something worth revisiting.” she observed, along with the position of most security sensors, but she kept that for herself.

Another waiter came with her bottle. “Fortunately they do have some whiskey.” she said, allowing a small smile on her face. “Well actually it’s 182 year old oak barrel made special family recipe sipping whiskey.” the waiter informed, “Very expensive and… refined.”

Oh, so that’s what it was, she didn’t look posh enough? “Oh really asshole? Well watch this.” she grumbled under her breath and emptied the glass in an instant, enjoying the taste of delicious house fire it left behind. “We’ll ‘sip’ the whole bottle, thank you.”

Trad hadn't realized how hoity-toity this bar really was until the waiter started talking about the whiskey. “Oh, refined you say? We apologize, we didn't realize how upper class this establishment was. I mean, I clearly didn't take notice of your other patrons.” Trad pointed behind the waiter to a man who was passed out in a pool of drool still with a glass in his hand. “Our money is good, that's all that matters. Now if you'll excuse us.” He waved the waiter off and watched him walk away offended and defeated.

With that out of the way Trad poured some of the whiskey into a glass and drank it down just like Diamond had, only he ended up having a rather large choking fit. “I’ll have to admit *cough gag* it’s been some time since I've gone out drinking.” any on lookers would have thought this hilarious, the large norseman being out drank by a small street girl.

“I usually go out to have ‘a’ drink, not to get shitfaced, but today is just worth it. I liked this stuff over anything else ever since I was fift- I mean, legal.” the thug said, playing with the glass in her hand. “I ditched Amy on a date. Yeah, didn’t work out too well.” she sighed, sinking into the chair. “Probably caught her in a bad mood as well. I’m not sad about the not dating her part but she’s the only person here that really knows me. I hoped to keep on good terms but man did I fuck that up...”

“Hey, if you two have as much history as you say, I'm sure she’ll come around. Maybe she just needs some time to realize friends is all you two are, and that’s not a bad thing at all.” Trad was hoping his words were encouraging, but this sort of thing wasn't really his strong suit. “Besides, you're not the only one to let her down.” Trad poured himself another glass. “Remember that huge mission was freaking out about going on? I missed it.” He downed the glass and although he didn't choke this time, he's eyes shut tight as his face twisted trying to hold back the burning.

“There was an emergency back home, family was being threatened and I had to go stop it. But in my haste I forgot to request time away. School thought I had left for good and when I got back my spot on BAST had been taken.” He looked into the bottom of his glass picturing what his old team's faces must have looked like when they discovered his disappearance.

“Ow. Team killed by bureaucracy. Who knew?” Diamond winced. She never was one for doing things by the book. “Although It would appear getting new faces assigned to you is quite common.” she noted, taking another ‘sip’ before elaborating, “It’s only me and Oswald left from Moderation really. First we swapped Aurelius for emerald - who is the cutest little thing - and then tank nut for a rifle nut. I mean I get it, some people have family emergencies, some just realize this is too much for them, but come on! ‘Those will be with you for the next four years’ my left foot.” she said in a bad Ozpin impersonation.

The waitress from before came to ask if they’d be eating, which for herself Diamond politely declined. She was still sober enough to know she would most likely be throwing up later, and it would all go to waste. besides, it would make her get drunk less quick. “gosh, I want to forget today happened. I mean first that, and then of all things we fought an aquatic grimm in class - and I can’t bloody swim! I’m scared shitless of water bodies deeper than I can reach. I mean, it’s insane! Why would humans even go on sea? If an island can’t support itself without shipments of whatever leave it to the demons for gods’ sake! There is no point building seafaring vessels any more!” Diamond whined her frustrations out.

“Huh. I didn't realize everyone was being mixed and matched so much.” Trad put his glass down and rubbed his chin. Perhaps his situation wasn't as bad as he previously thought. “Emerald eh? She wouldn't have anything to do with you missing your date?” He couldn't help but tease. After all, pretty faces can sometimes be more than enough to make one rethink things.

When the waitress came back he initially was going to decline food, but he was starting to get somewhat hungry. Maybe just something to snack on would be good. “I'll have an order of fries.” The waitress nodded and left.

“Someone who acts as tough as you, I'm surprised something like water scares you. “ Trad poured another glass but decided to savor it a bit this time. “I don't know, I can think of a few people who would love to be far away from all real society. A secluded island might be their dream, even if it isn't self sustaining. Who knows, maybe there's a group of fish faunus doing just that.” He relaxed in his chair more, swirling his glass before taking a drink.

“Key word, acts.” Diamond grunted, “Everybody has their demons, I more than most. I just make damn sure no one knows.” especially Oswald. He oughta be the kind who wouldn’t take kindly to that. the ex-thief thought bitterly. Her mood was improving though - she wasn’t sure it was the warm fire, the warm drink or just talking about her problems, or the combination of all three. “Oh, by the way, I picked up a few skills after the last mission. Ice?” Snapping her fingers her eyes flashed a bright blue and a few ice cubes materialized from thin air and dropped into her glass.

“Witch craft!” Trad humorously acted horrified by the trick but quickly returned to normal. “That's pretty cool actually… pun unintended.” He found his joke rather funny, most likely due to his dulling senses. “Sometimes I wish I could do nifty tricks like that, even if they are rather simple.” At that time the waitress came with a plate of fries and set them in front of Trad. He thanked her and she once more walked off. “Well, I guess one trick I have is making food vanish in an instant.” He grabbed a large handful of the salty snacks and crammed them into his mouth, then chased them with another swig of whiskey. “Want some?”

“Pun appreciated none the less. And since you offered…” Diamond grinned, the color of her eye glow changing from blue to white as one piece of the potato meal shot from the plate right into the wall a few paces away from her. “Whoops. That still needs work. Or maybe less booze in the system.” she scratched her head nervously. “Speaking of tricks, I never actually see you fight. Mind a spar sometime later? Sometime sober...”

“Eh, I'm sure you've got it when you can aim straight. “ Trad grabbed another fry and a grin appeared as Diamond offered to spar. “Absolutely. But I'll have to warn you, it'll take more than ice cubes and fry launching to beat me, though I assume those aren't your main methods of attack.”

“Correct. More to fill up a gap I have at long range. But you shall see for yourself.” Diamond smiled, chugging another glass. Her vision was getting, well… unsteady at this point. “Ey, how good are you holding down your drinks? I think… Imma have trouble walking in oh, half an hour.” she noted with a stupid grin.

Trad leaned back in his chair and laughed, “I think I'll be good on that front, but things aren't exactly focused if you're wanting me to drive.” He attempted to stand and see how his balance was. A little wobbly but he steadied himself with the table. “Let's hope there aren't very many obstacles on the way back.” He dropped back in his chair, “and that the rain is gone, I'd like to see clearly.”

“I’ll drink to that!” Diamond cheered. Mission was going rather well. “But maybe we should reserve a cab - while I still can. Later I might just ask for a clowncar or a tank. I could blame the latter on going from memory.” she snickered. It felt like a lot longer than a week since she started here with all the changes.

When Diamond cheered her drink, Trad realized in all this drunken fun, they had forgot the most important thing for drinking with friends, toasting. “Here,” he raised his glass in the air spilling some of his drink on the table. “To our teammates! The old, the current, and whatever new sons of bitches we end up with next week!”

“Hear hear!” Diamond nodded. Their voices were probably getting a bit loud, because the staff was starting to give them the occasional eye, something the thief noticed even in her state. “Let’s do something for fun! Is that a dartboard I see?”

One nearly eyeless patron of the pub later, the duo found themselves on the street. “Well f* them.” Diamond spat.

“I knew we should have called after the third tie.” Trad shook his head at the situation, but almost lost his balance in doing so. “Well, I'm still sober enough to walk, but juuust drunk enough to want to keep going. What else we got around here?” He stumbled into the road and surveyed the area as best he could to see what was open. Most places were just closing up with a few open for maybe a few more hours. “Hmmm… I got nothing. Anywhere around here you know of still open?”

“Know of, sure. Still opeeeennn… we shall see lad.” Diamond said, waving an arm with a pointed finger forward and wobbling in the direction. Intending to continue to her original destination, her confused sense of direction had her going in strange patterns, guessing the turns more than remembering. “I could have sworn Vale was not this big!” It took about an hour through which their condition worsened, until a moment of breathtaking clarity struck them: “I’m hammered!” she exclaimed after seeing the bar they originally left.

“I guess it's a sign.” Trad pointing to the sign next to the bar showing the way back to the airdocks they came from. “Least we won't have to rely on memory to get back there. Come on, let's get out before we get lost again.” Following their original path and using a few landmarks they stumbled back to the airships.

It was getting dark, AND harder to walk straight. Trad was probably having an easier time as his large build (and, undoubtedly, larger liver) had easier time processing the whisky. “Woo, scary neighborhood! hihi~” she giggled stupidly, but wasn’t incorrect. The scene was just like a place where someone would ambush you. Dark, only a few street lamps providing a speck of light, one of them flickering and making an uncomfortable buzz.

As if on cue, a flock of small nevermores approached from above.

“Diamond, I hope you have some sort of weapon on you because we have incoming!” This was just great, first he needed his shield for rain and now for an actual fight! “That's it, I'm never leaving that thing in its locker again.” Trad thought to himself as he pulled up his scroll and punched in their location. His locker would take some time to get there but he was sure they could fend the nevermores off until then.

Before Trad’s locker could arrive, Diamond started laughing at the question he asked. The four or so shadows she was casting at the moment form all the street lamps shot to the sky like very flat, deadly lances. Waving her arms, Diamond made the shadows not only skewer the black birds as they tried to flock them, but also slice them apart, covering her white coat in slowly evaporating black gore. The laughing fit she sunk into made her look a bit loony.

Just as she was done gutting the last nevermore, Trad’s locker slammed into the road next to them, sending her giggling all over again. “That was… like that time!” she said, a look of recalling particularly horrible memories on her face ending her giggles as suddenly as they started.

Trad almost didn’t notice his locker slam down watching the nevermore be eviscerated by the shadows. All he could think when he actually went to open his locker was that where ever they were going to spar was brightly lite.

One nevermore however had stayed behind sitting atop a street light. As soon as an opening was shown it dove at Diamond only to be met with a barrage of bullets painting its blood on the nearby building before it vanished. Trad lowered Gram which was in its assault form and let out a depressed sigh. “Really? I only get one? I thought we were both supposed to have fun.” He was attempting to lighten the situation as Diamond once more had an unsettling look on her face. Gram switched back into a sword and was sheathed away for later. “And now I have this to deal with.” He pointed at his locker smashed into the pavement. “I really hope these things have a call back function cause I'm not carrying it back.”

“Well you could always sleep in it and have it delivered in the morning.” Diamond grinned as they resumed their walk to the airfields. Fortunately as her walking become even more unsteady, nothing else attacked them. If she could remember why she went out in the first place, she would definitely call it a success.

As fast as they got there the two drunkards ended up back at Beacon outside the dorms. Their shenanigans must have gone on much later than they thought as the sky was now pitch black without a soul in sight. Trying carefully to open the door in quietly, Trad turned to his hammered friend. “Think you can find your way to your room or do I have to walk you back there as well?”

“I’ll be *hic* fine. Everyone’s probably asleep. Hopefully Glynda too. Tis past curfew.” Diamond frowned, waving Trad goodbye. Unlike the pre-mission hookups for a smoke, she doubted this kind of drinking would be appealing on regular basis.

“Right then. See ya in class tomorrow.” Trad waved bye as well and somehow made his way back to his new dorm. Passing by the others sleeping he grabbed an available bed, dropped his equipment next to it and passed out in an instant.

Lauren Negasi

"CHA!"

Bounding off the bed and scooping up clothes as though she had octane in her blood, Lauren shot into the bathroom and slammed the door hard behind her. Sixty seconds later, she had opened the bathroom door up again with the underside of one arm, visibly multitasking. She had thrown on a low cut black t-shirt and her signature jacket, both characteristically midriff-baring, and was currently devoting one hand to the button fly of her black pants while her other hand tightened a gilded leather studded belt around her waist. She was hopping, one footed, through the dorm, trying to get her left boot on properly.

For the sake of her balance, she decided to throw herself at the unoccupied foot of the only member of Bastille not currently suffering from chronic pain - Snague Naga's mattress poofed underneath her as she reared back and pulled her boot on with another, even more triumphant "WALLAHI!"

She rolled onto her stomach and rested her head in her hands, elbows on the bed and feet in the air. The newest member of the team reached for her dark, cheekily grinning face and pushed her cocoa hair back into a large, neat wave with her fingers.

"Oh man, I could eat a bull right now, buns or not!" Newly prepared to go out, Lauren reached for her own dwindling supply of pills and swallowed half of one. "Ready when you are, fellow cripples."

Oswald Connolly-Lakebed

Looking back for just a moment, Oswald almost sighed in relief when he saw Shiro deciding to come up to the surface with him. At the moment, it was just the merry band of idiots in the water- Oswald, Napoli Shiro and Robert. Hopefully the redhead would get the memo before he got eaten, or Oswald would have to jump in and pull the guy out himself.

Breaching the surface, Oswald quickly paddled to the edge of the lake and pulled himself out onto relatively dry land, shaking his body like a dog would to get off the excess water. They had to beat this Ogdoad, find Sapphire's daggers, retrieve them, and survive it all. That...would be a bit of a problem. Ogdoads were Riesen-class...he was pretty sure. They definitely weren't your run-of-the-mill cleanup job Grimm, no sir. While it was a shock that such a powerful force of nature was lying in wait below Beacon, Oswald figured that this place couldn't have been perfect. No place was, not even a fortress city.

"Fuck you, world."

Robert Fallson - The Lake

Robert gave a sigh of relief as he saw Oswald get to Shiro first and get him to start moving back up towards the surface. That was when he realized that he had quite literally just breathed out the last of his air. The teen looked up towards the surface which now seemed so far away. There was no way he could make it now, not unless Napoli, Shiro, or Oswald planned on giving him mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. They all seemed like nice guys, but they sure as hell weren't no Wendy Peppercorn. Only one option remained then, hope the Ogdoad's lair had some kind of air pocket not too far in.

So the redhead team leader charged straight at the large Grimm in hopes of maneuvering past it and getting inside it's cave. What'd he have to lose anyway?... Besides his own life of course. The Ogdoad looked like it was glaring at Robert as he got closer and closer. Second thought were beginning to run through his head as the frog-like Grimm began to open its mouth. Right when its tongue darted out though, a sudden current swept Robert out of the way. That first current sent him into another current, then another current, and then another current. He had lost all sense of direction at this point and was beginning to fear that at any moment he'd be sleeping with the fishes, until he suddenly felt a slight absence of pressure. Opening his eyes, Robert found that the underwater currents had swept him back up toward the surface. Breaking through he shouted, "I knew Lady Luck wasn't done torturing me yet!" while gasping for air.

Krysthane: Gym + Duel

@Abillioncats

Krysthane cursed as she spun forward from the power of her kick, barely able to control herself as she landed heavily on the ground. As she landed she saw Emerald began firing from the ground forcing Krysthane to jet to the side. A consecutive series of blasts kept Krysthane quickly moving, barely able to avoid the blasting bullets. Krysthane decided that the only thing to stop Emerald from firing endlessly until she got lucky was to bring the fight to her, so she tapped into her semblance lightening her body to allow her free-er movement. Krysthane's final approach led to her sliding by parallel to Emerald and swiping with her right leg in a sweeping low kick. The main objective was to get Emerald to reposition, then Krysthane could attack again while Emerald was still adjusting.

Just as she had anticipated this was turning out to be an exciting fight. Already she had come within inches of landing a devastating blow, now the challenge was whether she could make it through the haze of bullets and land a solid hit on her opponent. Otherwise the effort of dashing around dodging bullets would eventually drain her. She had to keep on the offensive and throw Emerald off balance, luckily due to her avoidance tactics water was already spread all across the floor, of course Krysthane had no troubles with it but the same likely couldn't be said for Emerald.

IC: Emerald Felicia - Vs Krysthane -

Krysthane was doing an excellent job of avoiding Emmy's attacks, and getting the floor all wet and slippery while she was at it. This could prove to be an issue for Emmy. As Krysthane weaved herself closer Emerald had managed to get back on her feet again, for how long who could say?

Krysthane finally made her move, suddenly speeding up and going on the offensive. Emerald had been expecting this, they both knew that Krysthane couldn't keep dodging bullets forever. Krysthane slid parallel to Emmy with a sweeping kick. Krysthane was fast enough that Emerald was forced to take evasive maneuvers. She leaped backwards and directly away from Krysthane, while she was in mid leap she aimed her weapons directly below her, right about where Krysthane was and fired both her weapons simultaneously. The force of the blasts pushed her further backwards. Considering Emmy had just pointed two big shotguns at Krysthane, Emerald hoped she'd caught her in the blast, she was difficult to hit all considering.

She really, really hoped she hit Krysthane, because when she landed on the ground she slipped on a puddle and tripped, landing on her ass. "Ow!"

Krysthane: Gym + Duel

@Abillioncats

Krysthane panicked as Emerald brought both her guns to bear at pointblack range. Frantically she pulled up her legs to shield her body and concentrated on reducing the gravity of the bullets so they hit with less force. Still the bullets slammed into her legs heavily and knocked the wind out of her. Krysthane unsteadily regained her ground, her armored boots had saved her from most of the damage but still had still been forced to block some of it with her aura. Deciding to attack quickly Krysthane grounded herself and shot a jet of high pressured water directly at Emerald and once again began chasing after her, this time determined to stick to her opponent. At this rate it seemed Emerald would simply jump away whenever Krsythane got close, she would have to do something to interrupt the cycle, not just hope she got lucky. But what to do...

IC: Emerald Felicia - Vs Krysthane -

@Eklispe

Emerald barely had time to get back on her feet before the jet of water struck her chest, again slipping on the water as she tried to stay up. This wasn't working, she was soaking wet along with the floor, and Krysthane was charging at her. It seemed it was time to air dry.

She concentrated, her eyes glowing slightly as a powerful blast of air seemed to shoot out from all around her. It sent the water around her on the floor flying away from her, and unless Krysthane could dodge air it would push her away from Emerald as well, though the best it would really do was delay her from reaching Emerald.

The fight was turning out to be as exciting as Emerald had hoped for, but she was getting tired. As much as she hated to admit it Krysthane was wearing her down, and the air blast had drained Emerald's stamina as well. Krysthane was a melee fighter, and it seemed reasonable to assume if it came to a battle of stamina that Krysthane would beat her. Emmy would be tired out long before Krysthane.

So it had come to this, her last trump card. As soon as Emmy had unleashed her airblast she slammed her weapons together, which immediately began to merge and transform into something else entirely. When it was done Emmy was holding what appeared to be a very large cannon over her shoulder.

She had a rather devious grin on her face as her weapon began to charge. Sure, the attack would drain her aura completely, but she doubted Krysthane would have much aura left after this either. The end of the cannon's barrel began to hum and glow with energy as it began to take in Emerald's aura for fuel.

She wasn't sure how Krysthane would react, she might try to avoid the blast, or try to attack before she fired. Didn't matter, because Emmy confidently pulled the trigger regardless. Either she'd hit Krysthane, or she wouldn't. Considering the size of the blast though, not getting hit by the blast was pretty slim. The gym shook a little as Emerald fired, the cannon aimed in Krysthane's general position. The explosion was loud, bright, and spectacular. Emerald hardly noticed though as she collapsed on the floor, her aura in the red. Power like that had a heavy price after all.

Kuhaku Shiro - Lakeside

Bandage-wrapped arm shooting out of the waters and grabbing onto land, Shiro dragged his body from the lake and onto firm ground. Despising the odd feeling of gravity being amplified on his body as he surfaced, he pulled the goggles and rebreather mask from his face and set them to his side. Letting himself drip-dry for a moment, Shiro turned and sat to catch his breath. Looking at Perun attached to his left arm, Shiro quietly brooded. Looking back at the lake, he couldn't figure out just how in the world he was going to manage to fight off that amphibious Grimm. It killed him to know he was so close to potentially achieving his goal. If he could somehow force it to surface, Shiro would fare a much better chance. He just wasn't experienced in engaging in underwater combat.

"Water levels freakin' suck, dude..."
Forcefully huffing, Shiro shook himself off.
"Maybe the other guys have a better plan, we'll just have to see."
Pouting, he waited for the others to surface.
If they couldn't manage something today, they may have to come back another time.
Further prolonging the dagger retrieval.
Shiro wasn't pleased with that thought.

Robert Fallson - The Lake

Robert floated on his back at the surface of the water, still breathing heavily to catch his breath. His mind was searching for possible ideas to get rid of the Ogdoad as he stared up at the sky above. "You know... that thing... seemed pretty darn... interested... in those... drone... things," he said, taking large gulps of air between each pause. If only... we could... get more... to lead it... to the... surface. We might just... stand a chance... then."

The red-haired boy began paddling over to the edge of the lake and was rising out of the water when he felt like... something was missing. "Gah!" he screamed after looking down to see that, when he had been being tossed around by the currents, he had at some point lost his pants. Stripped down now to nothing but his briefs, Robert frantically looked for the pants to his school uniform. "Why is it so hard to find a pair of pants that fits? Either the length is off or the waist is too big. Even belts seem to just delay the inevitable," he said before diving underneath again.

"Tch." Ebon got back onto his feet, dusting himself off and looking at the two. "Whatever. Go on and play buddy-buddy all you want. You and I both know this is all just an act." Ebon grabbed The Kingdom and walked away from the scene. He wasn't going to go to any party with someone like Sapphire, and having Gren there wasn't making it seem any more appealing. Though this did make him want to find Sapphire's daggers even more, if only to spite her. So Ebon left the air docks to find a foot path down towards the lake, or at least a series of cliff edges he could hop down and get closer.

Once Ebon was out of sight, he looked back towards the lake. In the distance he could see a couple of heads pop out of the water. The others either found the daggers or were having a hard time finding it. Either way Ebon jumped off the cliff with The Kingdom in his hand. Once he got a good 15 feet or so above the water, he slammed The Kingdom into the side of the cliff, stopping him form falling further. Climbing on top of it he then sent out a few more R-Types, this time four in total. With less of a distance to focus he should be able to use them more effectively, though only in a close group. "Now let's see what's taking so long..."

Oswald Connolly- Lakebed

Looking between his compatriots (and mercifully ignoring Robert's pantslessness), Oswald boldly declared his, admittedly obvious, plan: "We need to get that thing out of the water. It's amphibious, but we're not. Fighting in the water, even if we all had our gear, would be suicidal at best. We needed Marcus's tank to destroy the Datura, and this thing is on the same class as that big bastard was." Looking out to the lake, Oswald sighed. "We could grab that guy over there...and Napoli, I guess, to help. Shiro, Rob...you ready to do this?"

Sangue Naga - BASL Dorm

The red-haired swordswoman blinked as her bunk shifted just a bit. Still, she quickly returned to her idle emotion as she remained still.

She wanted to eat something, but she found it to be unfitting of her to lead the members. So she decided to wait for Benjamin's call. Or anyone's call, really. The quiet woman shifted to the wall next to her as she stared at it emptily.

It was a strange day. At one point, she held onto a particularly well-fit warrior in a pool containing one heck of a Grimm. And then she found herself lazing around a bed at another point of the day.

Time sure flew by quickly. She still found the man she teamed up with(?) to be a nice person, and perhaps her interactions with him showed some of her slow, but steady improvement in social skills. She hoped to meet more people like him.

Vega Venetia – VGNB Dorms

“I see” as Vega nodded at Luke and then Beryl who remained quiet. “Well, I will see you later” as she turned her head to Gratia, Luke and Beryl.

Vega exited out of the door, now it was time to get to that party. Vega hoped she was not late.

--

Vega Venetia – Airship Docks – Her Introduction

Vega was walking towards the air docks when she came upon the sight of Green orc and several other individuals she had no knowledge. She remembered him and his transgression of course, but she tucked that away in her brain. Her pace of movement slowed down as she felt nervous coming up to a large group and introducing herself. Though with openness and confidence as she arrived to them, “Hi, is the party taking place here” she said in her usual friendly tone.

--

Sarina Tala Dei – Beacon Rooftop – Beneath a Clear Sky

Sarina had reached the rooftop to find no presence of any members of CPLT. She took a careful glance around the rooftop, nothing. She took out her scroll and sent a message.

>Sender: Sarina Tala Dei
>Receiver: Senior Students, Staff Members
>Body: No sign of Team CPLT in the rooftops. I am going to check the pool. Tell me your current status.

After sending that message, Sarina held onto her scroll to looking at the sky. It was clear, all blue reminding her of her abilities briefly. She stood tall just looking at it holding her scroll, enamored by its beauty going off into daze, though she quickly regained herself. She then took a walk near the edge of the rooftop facing the airship docks. She noticed the color green near a group. Likely Vega attending that party Sarina had heard of through the gossip of other students, good for her cousin but Sarina was not going to attend a gathering of a bunch of freshman. It got her thinking; she should hold a party with only seniors. Hm I should, get an opportunity to learn more about Varius. That man, she had been always curious of him.

That is of course if, the disappearance of CPLT is the sign of something sinister to occur, then probably not after this. Sarina was hoping it was some stupid prank they were playing…like what… What was his name again oh right as Sarina had remembered, Paron, the guy that had convinced her to trash her mentors’ office as a prank with him when he bailed and the blame was entirely put onto her. Sarina did not even memorize the other name of the members of CPLT, her scroll reminding her of their names when she went through the contacts list on her scroll. Oh right those are the three others names. Sarina did not know much about them as they never really made themselves known to her.

Sarina sighed, “That is what you get for signing up as a TA, become a second eye for her.“ And being the assistant of a powerful respected hunter is one of the greatest goals any student can attain in her university years as Ms. Serene jumped off from the rooftop, onward to the pool.

Krysthane: Gym + Duel

@Abillioncats

Krysthane raised her arms defensively as a blast of air slammed her backwards. Shaking her head Krysthane looked up to see herself facing a massive cannon pointed directly at her. Fight or flight? Precious moments ticked by as Krysthane stared the cannon in the face.

Then she grinned, dodging would probably be futile and she wasn't the kind of girl to run from a challenge anyway. Krysthane stomped both feet on the ground and squarely set herself to receive what would no doubt be a monstrous blast. "ALLLLRIGHT!" Krysthane yelled and stood there resolutely, hands at her side letting her body take the full brunt of the blast.

The beam collided with her aura with a terrifying amount of force, slowly pushing her back. Krysthane dug her feet into the ground determined to weather through the blast, she could feel herself weakening. Krysthane let one last senseless roar out as the blast broke through her defenses and she was sent flying back crashing into the far wall of the gym. Krysthane viewed Emerald fallen from through blurry vision, "Heh, always wondered what rainbow tasted like..." was all she managed to say before she too collapsed to the ground, unable to keep consciousness any longer.

Cian Kuze - Range

"I been here for the last 2.5 hours" Cian muttered as she let out more shots hitting the two targets that appeared behind her by bending her body backwards and firing. This was getting to be a bit troublesome with the angles they were appearing at but that was actually good no enemy after all will just swarm you from up front. Thing was really picked up Cian noticed as she saw more flank from the sides before she spun around slicing through one with the blades on her rifle before shooting the other. "So why are you looking for this team may I ask? It seems odd that a single senior would go out of their way to look for a team unless they had a reason." Cian asked as she continued what turned into a impromptu survival battle against fake grimm cutouts.
