Maybe I would have been more objective if I was not indirectly insulted by your words, or that behavior where you replied to others views in an extremely negative way. I find it hard to take your civil words seriously when you have admitted you have caused what is essentially a tantrum to get noticed, and then insult everyone else who doesn't agree with you.

I may also point out I never called you lazy- Rather I said you don't devote enough time to this rp. That is not the same as laziness, though I have to admit personal opinion, so there you go.

You used anecdotal evidence yourself. You said this rp does this works in that rp, so this rp should do it too- Basically saying "I know an rp that does it so we should to." Yeah sure, you wanna call others out on shit, I can too.

And most people don't really have a major problem in figuring out character locations, though some get confused I admit, though most posts generally get the idea through, even without headers. The fact that people have responded to your idea with stiff resistance is honestly enough proof to me that headers should always be optional, nor should people be forced to do so if they do not wish to.

And yes, this seems to be mainly your problem. Again, if it was such a fancy schmancy idea, why hasn't it been implemented out of free will? Because perhaps some people don't have this problem.

Sure, ignore me. But don't whine when others kindly ignore your request for your headers in return, or don't do it the way you want to. I am done talking about this, since you clearly aren't receptive to others opinions and views.

I would not blame them at all. And anyone that does not wish to use a header should not be forced into doing so. And they sure as hell shouldn't feel obligated to, since this is not your rp to begin with.

And since this argument seems to show no sign of stopping, I feel like throwing in my own two cents. Personally, I try my best to read just about everyone's post in the IC (OOC as well but that's not the what the topic is about). They're usually very interesting, provide more knowledge to the ever-expanding world around us, and sometimes give me ideas for possible future posts. It's also really one of the most fun things about RPing with other people instead of just writing my own stories by myself, if not the whole point of RPing. It's because of this that I know for a fact that most people actually do a very decent job at describing where they're at. If you're not just skimming the post that is. Checking the Character Tab or the Google Doc to see people's sheets and other info is not something I usually have to do.

Back when @Sho Minazuki first asked for people to start labeling their locations, I began to do it because I knew that not everyone has enough time in the day to do what I do (heck, oftentimes I don't have enough time but I still do it). I can see why some people do not want to do it though. What you've done is become frustrated about the lack of attention a topic that you feel is important is receiving so instead of trying to go to someone who might be able to do something about it, like the GM, you decide to make as much racket as possible to something that is quite frankly not as important as you try to make it. You're demanding people do what you say, and while you might have legitimate evidence, you do not have the power to make them do it. To top it off, anyone that tries to argue why they don't want to do what you say, you dismiss as being nothing more than lazy, something that you had to have realized was going to taken as an offense and not want them to do what you say. Unless Lugu officially makes this a rule for every post, it should be completely optional and up to the players' choice.

Now, like I said earlier, I don't see this thing stopping anytime soon, but if it does I would be extremely happy to see myself proven wrong. This argument is a fire that's out of control and shouldn't have been lit in the first place as it adds nothing constructive to the RP at all. Is it really so hard to just let this topic go?

My last post had Robert addressing both of your characters and since then almost everyone in the class has now approached Robert and addressed him, also Lugu seems to have gone in and kickstarted the fight as well. I can't help but feel that I'm holding everything up in class so I was wondering if I have your permission to just say both your characters agreed to the plan.

He has said to not use headers creatively (or you can, but not without clarity on some things), but I think we should decide some ground rules on when they are required. Like if multiple classes are going on at once, or multiple events or missions are going on.

Otherwise I don't have problems with them being not used, like if every student of this year or that year were in one class, or combat class.

So I want a more definitive final word.

Hang on Sho, have you been asking for headers this whole time cause you don't feel it necessary to read the posts of anyone who's character is not directly affecting yours? Seriously that's kind of single minded isn't it. I like the headers there in case there is something specific I have to go back and look for, it helps to navigate but you should be reading all or at least most of what's going on for everyone. You miss out on character development and opportunities if you only read what you think is relevant to you. Sure what you're reading might be the only thing that Jack is aware of but reading other people's posts will allow you to be able to better plan some events or chance encounters in the future or possibly set up rumors about certain characters or events in IC. If you limit yourself to Jack's perspective you're missing out on a wider scope of the world.

Oh and if memory serves Lugu said that he would hope if people post headers they would put locations in them as well as creative titles but he's not going to force anyone to if they don't want to.

That's not it. I miss out on those developments BECAUSE they're not organized. It's not like its neatly in a row so I can't simply read one post, then easily go to the next, so it takes me awhile to organize the different events in my head. As a result, its tiring and I'm suddenly not having any fun. If I know what posts may be relevant to each other with just a label, it'd make things go by a lot more quickly, and I can just simply look for the next post in that location to read.

Have you ever tried to read pages of a novel, and for some reason there are pages of another novel in it at random page numbers? Lets also top it off with that each random page that appears, is not labeled so you don't know whether you're reading the novel you picked up, or another one. That's exactly what it's like.

Some of you may take pleasure in this, but you are not me, and I am not you.

There's also I'd like to be aware of the characters that may be relevant to Jack (or now, Varius) without needing to wait in OOC after asking or have to check a list, and then try and read and skim and see if that particular person is there, and whether or not they're actually in relevancy. We have some characters who may skip class like Mokuren for instance, so by reading that she is in the same class doesn't help too much with characters like that.

Hm. Bearing in mind Pannette's extended absence, it might be more prudent to match up Sho's Varius against Forsythe's Impara.

As for the current controversy, while I don't think it's completely necessary, it's still not much effort to put in a location along with your name. Plus, it's definitely worth ending this argument and silencing complaints. More information, even if only two words, is seldom worse than less information. Please note that this is not so much me agreeing with Sho as wanting silence. So please, try to do headers.
