Also I think Summer is supposed to be the leader and based off the order I propose the true team name:

I just rewatched the opening and found that. Does that make the blonde one Qrow? Cause Qrow's supposed to wield a similar weapon to Ruby and the black haired guy was carrying a Monado type sword.

We don't actually know that that was a team picture. While it's is obvious that Summer Rose and Raven Branwell are in the photo we have no evidence to suggest that the other two are Qrow and Tai-Yang.

Also Qrow's render was shown a while back. Pretty much the same appearance, so that's the evidence.

That would sound right, but Ruby's the younger sister. So I think the order there is reversed.

Generally speaking most of the transforming weapons have a melee and ranged versions. Crescent Rose has scythe and sniper rifle forms, Wiess has sword which can fire dust, Yang has gauntlets for punching which also fire rounds, Ren had gun knives. I don't think we've seen a weapon that has two distinct melee forms yet, though if I'm wrong feel free to correct me.

Neptune has Guandao and Trident form. Pyrrha has a spear that transforms into a sword. Sun has a staff that becomes nunchucks.

So yeah, we've had plenty of examples.
