So I have a question what would be a logicial upgrade for Byakko or Cians semblance. Byakko has three modes already a sniper, machine gun, and long barrel/close combat. While Cians semblance is a defensive one that creates a shield but she takes the mental damage from hits on it.
For Byakko, a change in ammo type is always a good idea. Perhaps a shotgun blast to spread out a fully charged shot over a surface, or simply being able to sweep a room in one shot. Having a ranged explosive option is always nice to have too. One that Gren can do but hasn't yet are bullets that curve; great for hitting someone around a corner or at unexpected angles.
As for Ciam's Semblance, I always have fun with barrier based ones. Now if she can only form them in honeycomb shapes, she can at least turn it into a mobile barrier. Once she can start moving with a barrier erected, the possibilities are endless. She can become a portable batteryram or cannonball. If she can shoot from inside, perhaps she can reverse it and make it so that anyone can shoot inside, but anyone inside can't shoot out. Perfect for trapping ranged enemies and letting your allies take them out with ease. If Ciam can shape her semblance into more than just barriers however, she essentially has the green-lantern ring: She could shape her barrier into say, a monomolecular wire which is not only as durable as her normal barrier, but functionally invisible (Due to being so tiny) and small enough to cut through just about any physical thing that walks through it.
Taken into steps:
1. Scatter Shot Upgrade: Allows the Byakko to unleash a wide blast in a single shot, with different concentrations for a wide area of effect, or for each shot to be focused over a small area. a. Following Burst: Byakko fires a single blast of laser bullets, but instead of it being shot over a wide area, each shot follows the first in a single shot. Think of it like double tapping. b. Ricochet: If you really want to screw with your enemies, make your bullets bounce. While individually weaker, the bullets are not capable of hitting multiple surfaces more than once, and depending on the area could hit the same opponent multiple times, doing more damage than what a single straight-forward shot would have done.
2. Explosive Shot Upgrade: Allows the Byakko to fire a concentrated blast of energy at a target. Faster than a rocket but slower than a normal bullet, the explosive shot has the advantage of having a large AoE to compensate for it's relatively slower speeds. a. Controlled Explosion: Perfect for setting up traps, this upgrade would allow the Byakko to delay it's explosion, set either my time or situation (Such as being a proximity explosive or needing a command word). b. Guided Shot: using the Byakko as it's controller, you can guide the explosive shot after it's been fired, changing it's direction, speed, and ultimately target simply by pointing. Finer controls are also possible, but require focus.
1. Shapeless Barrier: Cian is no longer limited to just her honeycomb shaped barrier, and can now change the appearance and size to suit her need. a. Weapon for Protection: Cian's barriers can not only be used to block attacks, but to be part of an attack as well. She can change her barriers into weapons such as blades and clubs, even ranged ones like arrows and bullets, and more exotic ones like whips and claws. Though more complicated weapons may be beyond her ability. b. Size Changer: Sometimes you just need to be bigger, sometimes you need to think small. Cian's Semblance can change the size of her barriers at will, shrinking or growing as the situation demands.
2. Mobile Barrier: Cian can now place and move her barriers with her mind. a. Reversal: Cian can change the properties of her barrier to chose what can enter and what can leave, on both sides if she chooses. This would allow her to turn her barrier into a protective shelter or a prison. b. Multiple Barriers: Cian now hos little trouble making multiple barriers for herself and her allies, which she can use defensively or offensively. She can also allow her allies a limited amount of control over her barriers to suit their needs.
I think Luke's semblance extending to being able to heal others with his own blood, sweat, and tears (a-and saliva) is feasible, if you take into account his willingness to risk life and limb for other people that I conveniently haven't shown much of yet
