<Snipped quote by Guess Who>I totally didn't watch that far, having now done it what does Qrow having Ozpin's cane say about the Headmaster's fate?
I'm sure if he had found a body he wouldn't keep it a secret from everyone. Also, that new antagonist being played by Jen Taylor kept referring to Ozpin. I think he's still alive at the very least, though I can't be sure he's in good health.
Pyrrha's dead. Yang's out for the count. Weiss is firmly under the thumb of Papa Schnee and high-tailing it to Atlas. Jaune is once again proving that while he may not be strong, he's not going down. Ren and Nora have licked their wounds and are ready to give a licking.
Ozpin is gone, possibly dead. Ruby is probably the Winter Maiden in a thoroughly frustrating reveal. I get that it was a moment of true "We fucked, son" and if any moment was going to bring out the apparently latent power in Ruby, that would be it, but it was still a deus ex machina like Raven's arrival. Dropping a very minor hint that could have realistically meant nothing to the grander plot does not change that.
And Salem. That monster. The only word I have to describe her. A real monster. I'm betting a Maiden corrupted by one of those "Possession-Type" Grimm the manga so lovingly introduced.
All in all, I'd give it a 6.5/10. Answered the hype, but did so in the fashion of RWBY: with a story that really just...could be done better.
But I still liked it.
*Accidentally clicks on a spoiler, decides to read all the spoilers anyway since it ruined the surprise for me*
Well, they got half of their wish.
<Snipped quote by Guess Who>the other half got disintegrated :D
I was expecting Ruby to have some kind of a power hidden away, but if this is YET ANOTHER thing, then... yeah, what the others that hated this said. I am getting fed up with the 'writing' K&M are doing. Normally you end up with A cliffhanger. They ened don like... ten of them. Very uncool.
@Qrow: Did we know his semblance? Perhaps turning into the crow is his one.
The character exits are fucked up all over, when they are even there. Two best villains get written off because "They were never supposed to be this big", the other half of the henchmen doesn't get anything whatsoever. I would understand not showing what happened to Cinder, though form the "flashback" episode, she seems to be reporting to someone - leads me to wonder whether she had any part in planning the events at all, or whether it was all creepy lady at the ending.
Weiss jsut getitng spirited away after all of the "I'm not like my father" binge better have a very good explanation in S4E1. I hope fucking K&M Don't fuck up my favorite character too.
AND WHY COULDN'T JAUNE HANG HIMSELF IN GRIEF? T_T
Long story short: Here's hoping AU fanfics are as good as ever.
Jaune is a boring character that gets way too much screen time for what he's worth. BOth Pyrrha and Nora were more entertaining, and Ren at least wasn't shoved into half of the total running time.
