@Lucius Cypher Sangue isn't really one to join large groups like that ^^; (There's also the fact that Bang is an Atlesian/Vacuo friend so she wouldn't like attacking Atlas)

She'd be fine with just staying with BASL

It's more of a lofty goal. First we start off with the local threats involving the Grimm. But Gren's got plans to get back at the White Fang, forcing them to scatter and reminding Gren that he ran from a battle not yet finished. He doesn't trust the Fang to get to job done right anymore what with them attacking Vale and being pawns of forces beyond his knowledge. With any luck he could rally the forces against Salem, but to figure that out he'll need to seek out someone who might know about them: General Ironwood. But once word that the Schnee company has withdrawn shipments, Gren's going to start wondering what they have to do with this. Seems awfully convenient for them to suddenly withdraw their support when Vale needs it the most.

Of course there's only so much a couple of students from Beacon can do. So Gren's going to need to rally what's left of Vale into a semi-cohesive group, and focus their attention on an enemy they can visualize. Salem's too vague an entity for your rank-and-file man to throw his life fighting against. But everyone knows who the Schnees are. They all remember what Atlas had done to them before. Now it's just a matter of finding them and having a bit of a chat.

It won't be easy of course, but I won't be doing it alone. Assuming that we don't get scattered to the four corners of the world I hope that I can get as many of you to join me in my attempts to reunify Vale into a proud nation once again. Our bonds of camaraderie with our teams can become far stronger if we unites as a people.

Aside from all the other problems with your attempts to kill off what would remain of Vale, how would this make them different from the White Fang?

Beacon falling would be an interesting way to throw a wrench into the RP, people could be separated, regroup, and generally cause mayhem. Basically, it would give nearly everyone a fresh start to do as they wish with their characters.

However, I think it may not be a good idea to follow the canon plot too closely, as then we would be bound to the pace of the released episodes, and that probably wouldn't be healthy for the RP.

That said, I would immensely enjoy it. Totally not to show off Ferris' aura or anything.

It likely wouldn't. Honestly the sheer emotional trauma of seeing what he had hoped to be a new life for him get forcefully taken back due to the ghosts of his past would make Gren irrational and attempt exactly what I mentioned. Gren and Adam are more alike then I care to admit, it's just that Gren has just enough self-awareness to realize that maybe how he's doing things aren't the right way, though still self-righteous enough to think there's no other solution.

That is to say, Gren is aware that he needs to gather a force to fight and equally if not more so powerful force, but it's a toss up if he wants to tangle with the Fang, take on Salem and her forces, or see if he can still salvage something from whatever local forces are available. The idea that he just finds his friends and family and try to settle elsewhere won't be an option he's going to consider.

It's okay. At this point BASL's force projection is about equal to a large group already.

I'm actually conflicted on whether Robert would join Gren's little raider group. On one hand, he'd totally be up for fighting against Salem and the White Fang. On the other, he has no problems with Atlas or the Schnees. Sure, they're super shady and all, but to his knowledge they aren't doing anything evil so he wouldn't see a reason for actually going to war against them.

On the other hand, if Robert hangs out with Gren long enough, perhaps his luck would rub off on Gren and he dies choking on a doughnut.

I got it, Sapphire'll take him out during the Fall and blame it on the White Fang/Grimm invaders.

Psht, it wouldn't be that hard if she's going to do that. Just tell him that all the White Fang are in this area and let him try to solo them on his own. He'll either succeed or get overwhelmed by the sheer numbers of White Fang, Grimm, and probably falling buildings.

As somebody who has seen almost none of the new season, how many people know about Salem? I kind of got the impression that the number of people who did was very limited.

Gren will lead a band of roaming marauders ala Mad Max made of students from Beacon to hunt down Grimm and destroy any corruptible forces within, starting with the White Fang, Schnee Dust, and generally anyone from Atlas. We'd also take out other local bandit clans and establish dominance. Gren will make Vale great again, for he shall build a wall...

You say that jokingly, but Oswald would be the first person to say "YOU NEED A WALL. A WALL WITH TURRETS!"

I mean walls do seem to be good at keeping Grimm out, at least the ones that don't fly, tunnel, or just plow through them o.o

The turrets are for the fliers.

The bunker is for the tunnelers. First sign of shit hitting the fan, everybody gets to the bunkers while the fighters do their thing.

And nothing plows through a triple-thick wall of steel, wood, and brick with a "moat" of spiked hedgehogs (the anti-tank trap, not the animal), and spike barricades.

Oswald comes from a very paranoid village.
