The speech was over, if it could be called a speech in the first place. Penelope had to admit, she thought she would get along well with the Headmaster. They were both subtle as sledgehammers, more concerned about action than words. She dug out a piece of paper from under her seat. The number 11 was scrawled on it in poor handwriting. A room number, perhaps? Truth be told, she had no idea what the number meant, so she sat back down and wait for further instructions to clear her confusion.

While heading towards the Auditorium, he eavesdropped on the students who were new and fresh, he wasn't as excited as the fresh blood. The last two years were years for taking in the scenery, as well as to get the whole 'new experience' out of his head. He wasn't going to go gawking like he had before, now was the time to get ready for the rest of the year. On the thought of the rest of the year, Uriel had hoped he wouldn't have to hang around any strange fucks like he had before. When he was a first year, he often found a fish-human hybrid type of character in some of his electives. This person was also one of his dorm-mates. Was it to let the newbies interact with the experienced? Or maybe it was an error with student placement? Either way it was hell for Uriel, the site of the boy was often nausea inducing. Uriel didn't like how most fish looked, and having one walk and talk and hang around him was almost a nightmare. Uriel soon found himself in the auditorium, and it was packed. Some students had even started to get into verbal fights about seating. All the while, some of the more aged students had already started playing catch-up with friends who'm they couldn't keep in contact with other the long break. Uriel found himself doing neither of these things, as his best friend had graduated the previous year. Instead he would just try to find one of the least-populated areas in the third-year section, and wait until further instruction. As a few moments passed, the volume levels in the room dropped quickly, at most you could hear some of the younger students whispering. Soon the headmaster would make his appearance. Uriel couldn't help but wonder how some of the newer students would react to his appearance, it was certainly of that only the wildest imagination would conjure. The headmaster came in and 'introduced' himself to the school. This year he was even louder then he was before, and Uriel often found himself annoyed at how often his ears would hurt during the speech. Well, speech loosely defined what he was doing. If anything it felt like a warning. Soon it had definitely became a warning, basically saying the pacifists would be rooted out. This was no problem for Uriel, the thrill of breaking stuff, as well as people, was already something he enjoyed. He didn't need the school to help reinforce that fighting would be necessary, that's what he had already wanted. After the whole 'Don't be a half-ass, my name is shitty, check out this ice' part of the speech was through, the headmaster told then about the numbers beneath their seats. Uriel was quick to grab the paper under his ass and find out what it said. The paper was slightly crumpled, due to his handling, and had a number in the three digits. The paper had Four hundred and thirty five written on it in blue ink. After quickly searching his memories, Uriel came to the conclusion that something similar had happened last year. He couldn't remember what they did, because at the time he was too tired to care, but now he wish he had gotten more sleep at the time. Either way, he was curious about what it meant. Was this some order? Should he be searching for Mr.434? Or was this a code to get into his room, did they change the dorms? Whatever it was, Uriel wasn't too unnerved by it. Hell he was even excited, maybe this meant he was the 435th best in the school? He quickly realized that wasn't too great. Maybe I'll give this a rest. He tried to stop thinking of answers and would now wait for the reason, and the game plan.

Ralthavar Marchosias
The Harmonious First filed into the main hall, however everyone largely sat within their own groups, sans a few individuals. Ralthavar of course was surrounded by orcs but found himself a decent seat to watch the headmaster. A small humanoid person by the name of Ier-Briar Thorn-of-the-Shield, a Gemstone. Ralthavar knew him, somewhat. Or more accurately he has heard of Ier from some families in Lucis, They generally spoke positively of his ability, but his personality left much to be desired. Many joke that he was given the role of Headmaster as the responsibilities of the Headmaster keeps him away from everyone else. Ralthavar doubt that it's the case: Ier seemed to be the type to skip his official duties for his own whims anyways. Still, he was the headmaster, and Ralthavar does follow some semblance of authority. And there was truth in Ier's words: The Academy wasn't here to teach peasants how to fight. Everyone here should already know how to handle themselves, and those who don't are just fodder. Hopefully Ier's message got through the students, otherwise they'd have a lot of corpses on their hands. Near the end of Ier's announcement he asked everyone to look under their seat. Ralthavar reached beneath himself and found a slip of paper with the numbers seventy-seven on it. This reminded him of the Rope Jaunts back at home: grab an end of a rope from a pile until everyone has their own rope, and find your partner on the other end. What they did depended on the situation. Usually this was done for simply games, but there was a few times this was done for casual hunts and tournaments. Ralthavar's orcs were getting pumped up for a fight and Ralthavar had difficulty thinking this wasn't going to become one. After all, this was a school for fighting. Surely they will be fighting. "Where is my bag? I want to greet me partner appropriately."
Rei Maven
"This room is ripe with the stench of bitches~" Those were the words that were going through Rei's mind at the moment. So many young, pure mortals for her to pleasure herself with. She already made a list of boys and girls she'd make the efforts of charming into bed, or at least onto a desk, for some sweet loving or at least a quickie. She was mainly interested in the earth-born humans, as humans were a rarity in Lucis. And in so many flavors! American, Japanese, Latino, African; Rei was going to be very excited to give them a taste. Her blade practically thirsted for the taste of virgin meat, to pierce it deep and clean. She was nearly tempted to plunge her weapon into the nearest hole, but held herself back. She sheathed her sword for now, waiting, wanting, but kept it on full display for others to be in awe. They may lust if they do desire. She'd want them to. After being seated Rei hardly paid attention to the Headmaster. Or rather, she was thinking of different ways to fuck with him, both literally and metaphorically. She had an encounter with a gemstone before to bind with it, and it wasn't too bad. Granted she had put away her blade and engage it in grappling. It was a close match as the gemstone certainly knew what it was doing, but in the end Rei was sufficiently pleased with the results. By the time she snapped out of her convoluted sex dungeon that passes for an imagination Rei caught something about looking underneath her seat. From what everyone else was saying they all had numbers of some sort. Rei checked and grabbed the number twenty three. "Oh my, now I wonder who this lucky fellow is." But Rei had some tricky in mind. Somewhere in here was someone else with the number twenty three. And she was going to make someone else convinced that they have the number twenty three. Someone who'd she would be worthy of simply grasping her handle, but also who she'd think would be a good partner when they meet the other student actually holding the number twenty three. She looked around and found her target: a human male (Francois Jeannotte) He didn't seem to have pulled his paper out yet, but when he does Rei made it so instead of seeing whatever his real number was it'll show the number twenty three. She stayed out of sight and focused her magic on him alone. She doubt a human would have the magical resistance or the mental fortitude to resist her spell.

Arkiyel'Ein
Ark was a bit put off by the rude antics of the Headmaster. What an uncultured freak. Why does he act so high and mighty every year? Ark sighed under his breath, and looked around at the students sitting around him. Out of the corner of his eye he noticed someone who he had hated since his first year for various reasons. Dagny Ek, the dragon girl who had tremendous strength, but the common sense of a brick wall. Ark fiddled with the thick coat that he was wearing, as it wasn't the best thing to have over his wings. When the Headmaster told them to look under their seats, of course Ark did this. It was just a piece of paper with a number on it. 3546 had been hastily written on the paper, and in such a haphazard fashion that it was barely legible. Ark was pretty sure that someone had drawn a beaver with a chainsaw on the piece of paper, as it took up most of the page.
Maxwell Yinyues
Maxwell sat down with the rest of the 4th years, and casually watched the Headmaster's usual antics. It looked like it was just an intimidation act to whip the 1st years into shape, and for the most part, that was right, but it was always crazy to think that the Headmaster usually acted like that. Maxwell looked around and studied his fellow 4th years, a good number of them being ones he know semi-well. While The Headmaster was still conducting his antics, Maxwell pulled up the computer in his arm. He checked his email, finding just 1. Maria has sent an email with an image attached. Maxwell would check this later. The Headmaster soon instructed everyone to look under their chairs. Max found a single slip of wrinkled, dirty paper. The number 9510 was written in awful hand writing on the awful piece of paper. Why the hell did the Headmaster want them to have these pieces of paper anyway. Only one possible scenario came to Maxwell's mind.

Francois Jeannotte
Francois hummed cheerily as he entered the grandiose main hall, the bustling crowd blocking the entrance having finally dispersed somewhat and thus opened up an unobstructed movement vector into the designated area. He looked around the area, basking in its majesty. This definitely wasn't what it was like back at the lab. The main hall, more an auditorium than anything, was lustrous and awe-inspiring, as opposed to the monochrome color scheme and sparse decor of the facility. It was all a very exciting experience. He looked around for an empty seat, opting to take one behind a mostly-empty row. The lights darkened, everything went silent, and a spotlight shone on the stage in the front. At the forefront of the stage was a flaxen-haired adolescent shining with the radiance of the angel. Then came the screech of metal caving in upon itself, and the boy spoke. ... ...That.......was actually pretty cool! Admittedly, Francois'd been expecting more a Dumbledore-ish type, or maybe like some school marm, but a 'hip, young headmaster who don't play by the rules' was perfectly fine with him. It was good to see mentors trying to connect with their mentees. The fellow's choice in words was a bit crude, but perhaps that was his way of fitting in? It made sense in a way, and who was Francois to argue with sense? Nevertheless, they were instructed to remove something from the bottom of their seat. Something about an 'ice-breaker' and a number. Though what breaking ice and numbers had to with each other was beyond him. Thus, with a theatrical pull, he removed the slip of paper off the bottom of his seat and looked upon it. Emblazoned on the disheveled piece of paper was a big, bold... 23. Francois looked at the slip for just a moment----- >[Division Alpha]: ...Wait, 23? Don't you mean 09? Verification required. >[Division Beta]: 09? That number is a 23. >[Division Gamma]: Division Beta is correct. That is a 23. >[Division Alpha]: No... That's a 09, what are you all talking about? Are you sure? >[Division Beta]: Visual information reports that the number is, in fact, the number 23. Spelling: T-w-e-n-t-y-dash-t-h-r-e-e. Are the nanomachines malfunctioning? Check again. >[Division Alpha]: Very well. >[Division Alpha]: Nanorobotic visual confirmed. It's definitely, 100%, a 09, not a 23 as you claim. >[Division Beta]: Previous sensory information contradicts that notion. >[Division Alpha]: It's not a bloody 23, it's a 09. Are you blind?! >[Division Beta]: The subject's 20/20 vision contradicts that notion. >[Division Alpha]: No, it's a figure of-- It's a 09 you waste of grey matter. >[Division Gamma]: False. The curvature of both characters, and the line at the bottom of the first, corresponds to the number 23. >[Division Beta]: Division Alpha's inability to differentiate 09 and 23 is worrying. Objections to placing Division Alpha on temporary shutdown until we can fix this dilemma? >[Division Alpha]: FINE. Fine, it's a stupid, goddamn 23. We'll worry about any deficiencies in our abilities at a later point. -----before looking to his left, right, and front at the numbers that those sitting adjacent to him had. '8675, 309, 23... 23?' Francois peaked over the row in front of him once more, at a teal-haired kid's slip of paper. The lighting was difficult to see in, but that was indeed a 23! Just like what Francois had! The monochrome-haired youth tapped the shoulder of the unfortunate individual in front of him. "Excuse me! Hey! Uhh... Kid! You! Yeah," the Frenchman said excitedly, "I got 23 too!" ...It looks like things don't always go as planned. Isn't it sad, Rei? @Jedly @Lucius Cypher

Rei Maven
Watching the human intently Rei noticed him just staring blankly at his card. He didn't seem to be reacting much to it, which was expected. It was just a number on a card after all. But than the boy reached out to the person in front of him, and while it was hard for Rei to hear over the commotion she knew she had to act fast. She heard the boy say his number, twenty three, but in revealing it to someone else they could potentially break the ruse. "Alright, no problem, using my magic on someone else isn't impossible." Rei whispered under her breath. She didn't know this person in front of her original prey, though he looked human enough. And in the event that her target does something more foolish like announce his number to the world, Rei made sure to expand the area of effect on her illusion around her target. It was rather demanding but she was willing to put out the energy for this. Now her target, and anyone else looking at the slip of paper in his hand, would see the number twenty three instead of whatever was originally on there.

“Yeah, yeah you big baby.” Raule ducked under the violent jab the griffon made at his condescending tone of voice, and proceeded to slap its head away from himself. An indignant cry was had when it turned around to face him and he sighed before he dug unslung the pack from his shoulder and dropped it to the ground. The fact that he was busy digging through his bag for some treats for his damned mount, as it might as well have been his since two years ago; Raule was fairly sure it didn’t ferry anybody else, while the Headmaster was giving his speech was not lost on him. Finally, after a bit of rearranging and shuffling of his belongings he pulled a string-tied bag out and tossed it at that griffon. The bag of dried meat smacked it right in the face and it squawked indignantly once more, but Raule was already scrambling away with his belongings in his arms. His parting words might have been heard had the campus not been basically deserted as students crammed into the main hall. While he could have easily kicked the main hall’s doors in to announce his arrival, such a thing wasn’t Raule’s style. It did sound like a bit of a ruckus was going on inside so he might have been able to slip himself in without being noticed, So in the end that was what he settled on and the doors were opened with narily a creak. At least one that was audible over the din of talk and conversation as reactions to whatever the Headmaster had decided to do were vocalized. Given the distinct lack of any commotion in the rows closest to him, he presumed that the fifth years had not been exposed to whatever shenanigans were taking place. A familiar face was rather easy to find thanks to her rather distinctive style of dress. Even as he eyed the lower rows where each student seemed to have been given a sheet of paper with a number written on it, he made his way over towards Zar. Upon reaching her, he placed his hands on the back of her chair and leaned slightly forward so that when he looked down it was from directly over her. “Sup?” he asked rather casually towards the angry-looking lady, an expression he’d come to recognize as simply her default. Though it was a single word, he meant two things with it; both how she was, and exactly what was happening right now. @Kidd

It quickly became apparent that the fifth years were not to part take in the icebreaker, and Zar relaxed a little bit. Contrary to what one might expect, she enjoyed meeting others, but didn't enjoy group activities quite as much. She sat still and quiet as the commotion continued, and she watched as her underclassman compared numbers and whispered curiously about what was to come. It seemed that they would be here for a while, so she allowed her bags to drop to the floor at her feet. As she was straightening Khayal out on her lap, she felt a weight at the back of her chair. Then came a verbal greeting and she looked up to see Raule's crimson gaze, to which she offered a small smile. "Hello," she greeted warmly, her eyes pulling away to look about the hall again. "The Headmaster arranged some sort of 'ice breaker' for the underclassman, and I'm just dying to see where it leads." Her tone grew cooler by the word. "And you?" she returned politely, looking to the voidling again. @Zombehs

After three minutes, Ier-Briar promptly decided that yes, all of those fools should be done with their number-fetching. After all, there was chattering within the auditorium again, people sharing their numbers innocently and anticipating whom they were going to party up with. Because, clearly, if you had the same number, it meant that you would become friends, right? Those mudafuking hippie wanksters. Snapping his fingers, the ProMaster said, to no one in particular, “Aludra, if you could do the thing?” “Sure sure, order confirmed~” came a cheery voice from above. From above, a small box, emanating a blue light, popped into existence. As the students looked upwards, they would see a young woman in the outfit of a witch, floating up above on that box. Despite the fact that she wore a dress, and despite the fact that the box itself should be illuminating what was underneath it, those who did their very best to be irredeemable perverts and tried looking up were greeted with pure blackness. With one wave of her right hand, 625 boxes blipped into existence, showering the right wing of the auditorium with lightning blue light. With a way of her left hand, another 625 boxes blinked into space, their brilliance filling the left wing. In the fluorescent backlight, reduced to a mere shadow, the witch called out with a laugh, “Let the actors be bathed in light!” Slowly, the numbers on the sheets of paper began to glow, filling with magical energy. “The curtain has been pulled, revealing the main stage!” The light coming from the paper crept up onto the students, encasing their body with light. Then, one by one, each student became a brilliant beam of energy, shooting into the boxes that laid suspended in the air. “And so, my job is done.” As the blinding light faded from their eyes, they would find themselves in a white box, roughly 25 meters in height, width, and length. The walls glowed, and there was no exit. In fact, there was no other object in the room. “Now, prove your worth!” But they were definitely, absolutely, not alone. --- “Yo, fifth years,” Ier-Briar called out, waving at the remaining students that weren’t sucked up into the boxes, “Go monitor the rooms and make sure that we don’t have any rapists and shit, yeah? Your holopads or whatever should be able to connect. If you need to go in and interfere, just ask Prof Aludra, yeah?” “And, here’s a friendly PSA: rape is not the absence of ‘no’, but the absence of ‘yes’. Got that? Good. I need to do more important things now. Later nerds.” --- Fwegh? For some odd reason, Elodie’s head hurt. As a matter of fact, it hurt a lot, so much that it stun to even touch her forehead. Slowly standing up, the princess cringed at all the bright lighting that was present in the room…before realizing that she wasn’t even sure how she got into the room the first place. Yeah, it definitely felt like she had one of those hangovers that she had always heard that the shitty headmaster of the school suffered from, whenever he refused to get out of his room in the morning. Really, it was quite the odd… What the blazing vipersnacks?! Why was there a green orc thing here as well?!?!?! “GUHUEHHHH!!??!?!”

Box number 69 Mathew Holmes and Mia Betancourt
Mathew Holmes
The appearance of the strange boxes put Mathew on edge. Having grown up as a member of a hunted species had given him a limited 'shit's about to hit the fan sense', and right now it was blaring. Before he could do anything though, he was suddenly transforming into light and sent into one of the boxes. Once his body was solid again, he felt a nasty headache. "Sooth" he chanted, and his healing magic dulled the pain. With that taken care of, he worked on finding out just what had happened The only thing that really stood out was a girl who looked to be his age in the room with him. Since she was also most likely suffering from a headache as well, his first instinct was to help her with his magic...but then his mind looked back at Aludra words "no..." Mathew found it hard to believe "they...they wouldn't...would they?" While he had already assumed that the faculty was extremely weird, he didn't think they were insane "The seats weren't assigned, which means the selection had to be random. So how could they even know if this is balanced or not? I...I didn't think they were mad enough to leave something like this up to chance"

Box 11 Penelope and Jett Well, that was unexpected. Penelope now found herself alone with a purple haired boy armed with something she could only describe as the bastard child of a katana and a longsword. She absently toyed with the handle of her own cutlass, but kept it sheathed. No sense in frightening the boy. Her pointed teeth would already do that. Damn the fact that they don't transform with my tail. "Sooo... My name's Penelope. And you would be?"

Box 11 Penelope and Jett
Jett Croswell
Jett followed Ralthavar Marchosias at a distance, he wants to protect him as it his job but he doesn't want anyone else knowing this is job. As The Harmonious Firsts all sat down, it was clear they had already formed their respective groups. Jett sat near the Orcs and next to the elves, he knew one or two elves that greeted him kindly. After the headmasters speech Jett reach down, 11. Jett got up, slowly, as everyone went to find their respective partners. "Striker, got any ideas on our to find this partner of ours?" Jett spoke in his mind. Strikers voice replied, "Why not just run through past everyone, you can see quicker than a lot of people, if you see the number 11 just stop running." Jett sighed at the idea, he'd look like a fool. But the plan would work. Jett bent slowly towards the ground then shot off like a bullet. Passing through everyone, well, nearly everyone, he bumped into a few people over and over again, then suddenly Jett saw a flash and his movement stopped... A female siren was standing next to Jett now, she seemed surprised out our fast he arrived. She touched her cutlass and spoke "Sooo... My name's Penelope. And you would be?" Jett held out his hand and spoke, "The names Je-I mean Ramon Marie. Nice to meet you" Close one.

“Ah…” It made sense and as he actually took the time to focus on some of the students below, he did notice that the sheets of papers clutched in the hands of the lower years had numbers; some were written finely while others looked like messy scribbles. “Fairly good. Cleaned up a few messes in the surrounding areas, got into a fight with the griffon again. Nothing out of the ordinary.” Before he could say much else though, the show seemed to be on its way as a voice filled the room once more and drowned out the students. He didn’t pay much attention to the witch’s words, given how they were basically said for the sake of theatrics. Instead he eyed the vast number of boxes holding the lower years and sighed in annoyance, having no doubt that responsibility was about to be foisted upon them to make sure things didn’t go too far. Unsurprisingly, the Headmaster’s voice rang out almost immediately after that to inform the fifth years of their duty. With a soft sigh, Raule fell back into the seat behind him and set his baggage onto his lap. A few moments rummaging through it and pulled out his holopad and fired it up. Connection proved easy enough and in a matter of seconds he had over a thousand views at his fingertips. A few random taps filled his screen with the image from inside cubes where absolutely nothing outside his expectations was happening. Some introduced themselves as more level headed individuals, others had already drawn blood, and a few directed their thoughts of the situation to the white walls uselessly. He carefully scratched his head with sharpened claws as he returned the screen to the complete view of all the boxes, on the look out for anything that would require his intervention. "Glory to the fifth years, eh?" He muttered to no one in particular as he glanced at a box that housed a petite girl with a towering orc. 'That might be messy,' was his thought before he flicked to another box. @Kidd

Raltahvar Marchosias & Princess Meiron Alkanez Elo-Dezemineh Box 77
Ralthavar watched the sudden appearance of the witch. Her sorcery created hundreds of glowing boxes out of no where. Soon students were getting absorbed into the light from their slips of paper. A few of Ralthavar's orcs panicked and dropped their slips of paper, but they still got absorbed. Of the few who were left Ralthavar gave them some parting words. "Don't be scared! Greet them like a true orc! Show them your honor!" Ralthavar said with a chipper laugh as he grabbed two things from his bag before he too was engulfed in light. His arrival was a bit bumpy, to say the least, but he managed to come to his sense before the other person did. A small human girl who dressed regally. Ralthavar guessed that she had his number. The orc just smiled and motioned for the girl to approach him. "Come than. Let us meet each other, face-to-face!" Ralthavar roared as he brandished his weapons, a kettle full of water and a box. Ralthavar looked again at his items and realized that he did not manage to bring his weapons. No, he had a kettle of hot water, heated by a crystal for the purpose of having a warm drink on the go. And in the box contained his tea set, complete with two cups carved from jade. Not exactly Ralthavar's weapons. Regardless he took the mishap in stride and sat down in seiza. He started to prepare some tea for this other person, even taking off his fur jacket to turn it into a crude cushion for his guest.
Rei Mavan & Varren Yinyues Box 23
Rei was trying so hard to trick the human boy into her clutches, but when that witchy chick arrived Rei knew that her trick wouldn't do her any good. Though she did get a good look at miss magic and Rei made a note to figure out which class she taught. Soon people started to get teleported in flashes of light and into various boxes. If she had to guess which box they were going into depended on what their number was. Rei thought of another ploy, and deciding that she could at least curb her loses, she went up to the human boy she was trying to nab. While he was distracted talking to the person in front of him Rei copped a feel, groping his plump peach and giving his trigger a squeeze before she was taken away by a ray of light. As far as light shows went Rei had worse. She recovered from her vertigo in short order and saw her prey across the room. She didn't waste time with pleasantries and targeted him with an Illusion, one that made her invisible. And now came the fun part. Rei stayed utterly quiet, just watching the boy. She wanted to see what he'd do. What his weaknesses were. And how best to impale him on her on her mighty pillar. "Your cherry is going to be the promised Eternal Rome on my tongue!!!"

Box #435 Sylus, Uriel and Frontal Lobe Whilst curiously glancing around at the commotion, Sylus was startled by the Headmaster calling to Professor Aldura to "Do the thing," whatever that entailed. At the professor's grand entrance and even grander speech, Sylus began to get a bad feeling. Something tells me this will be even more interesting then last year's 'Icebreaker', he thought, I'd probably better steel myself. As the trio of numerals on his paper began to raditate with magical energy, sylus attempted to clear and calm his mind, to prepare himself for whatever twisted games headmaster ler-Briar had in mind. After a flash of blinding light, he found himself in a white room, with no exit, and two other inhabitants. I don't like how she said ' now prove your worth.' Sylus thought. He reflexively reached for his bow as he tended to do when caught by surprise, but he then lowered his hand again, deciding it might be a bit better for his health, not to mention far more polite, to introduce himself first. There's a chance that the others don't want to fight if they didn't know this would happen... right? "Greetings, err... gentlemen" He said as jovially as possible, but inevitably botching it as he gawked at the eerie-looking metal monstrosity that had appeared here, taken aback by the sight of... him? It? he recognized the other being in the room, a second year he saw around last year but never really met. He must be a third year now... if so I'd really rather this not come to conflict. He shook these thoughts from his mind, attempting to look friendly and calm. "I am called Sylus. I hail from Lucius, and I infer that you two must be from earth. T'is nice to meet you." He bowed to them in greeting. @Tyrant From The West

Box 11 Penelope and Ramon Penelope was confused at first. It almost seems like he forgot his name, but there's no way that's right. I mean, who forgets that? Then it struck her: he might be under an assumed name for some reason. Best to play along for now, until she could ask enough people to ferret out the truth. "Well, Ramon. Are you from Lucius, or Earth? I can't really tell just by looking at you."

Box 69
Mia Betancourt & Mathew Holmes
Mia whimpered softly, the bright flash of light had interfered with her receptors and the data was blinking rapidly as it tried to sort itself, her right hand coming up to cover her eyes the headache and throbbing reminding her of the times she tried to read reports faster then she could process them. The last thing the small girl remembered was a bright box looming down from the ceiling and what her data classified as a witch riding along with it. It was her first time seeing magic, honestly the girl found herself enthralled by the show; albeit was a bit flashy the glowing numbers transcending into small boxes, as they encased their holders in an ethereal light. Hearing a males voice Mia shoot up quickly looking around, wincing as pain shoot through her head in reply to the quick movement. She locked eyes with a rather tall white haired male instinctively scooting backwards until she hit the wall of the box. Wait, box? Looking around Mia confirmed that she was subsequently trapped in a box, the data reading matching the boxes the woman earlier had summoned. Slowly gaining a bearing on her surroundings she focused once more one the male, unable to make eye contact as she timidly look up at him from her sitting position. Designation:Unicorn.:Sex:MaleHeight:~62inWeight:1100~lbsTemperature:100degreesClassification:Lucian/Beast… Blinking several times Mia looked from the display screen back up at the male, he looked human well besides the white hair, but her data was rarely wrong, it had a small glitch that didn’t allow it to process illusions even if she saw them visually. Realizing she was being rude the girl flustered farther into her corner before berating herself once more, ”H-Hello…” She called out her soft voice not carrying much farther from her person, hoping she wasn’t interrupting his self-conversation. ”My name is…Mia….” She offered slightly making no move to emerge from her corner, as she watching the strange man..err…male.. @Card Captor

Box number 69 Mathew Holmes and Mia Betancourt
Mathew Holmes
Mathew was brought out of his musings by the voice of the girl. She sounded scared (alliteration! Woop!) 'they can't really expect me to fight someone like her without good reason. She sounds like she would take cover in a corner if I so much as looked at her wrong. I might not even have to do that much if her current state is any indication' Holding back a sigh, he addressed the girl who had introduced herself as Mia "It's a pleasure to meet you Mia" he said with a small bow. Then he made his way over to her at a steady pace and with a gentle smile on his face, to help set her at ease. Once he reached her, Mathew took her hand in his and gave the back of it a quick kiss before letting go "I am Mathew Holmes." He introduced himself, hoping to make her feel less scared. "You needn't worry; even if it was their plan, I have no intent to fight someone such as yourself. If you'll forgive my making assumptions; you seem to be the type who finds no joy in direct combat, and would in fact come of such a confrontation quite shaken up." @AliceInRedHeels

Box #435 Sylus, Uriel and Frontal Lobe The change in scenery completely caught Uriel off-guard. He had tried to stop thinking of the past and instead wait patiently, but before he could even get that through his head, he had been transported to a stage-like cage. The room he was in reminded him of his father's guess at the passage to the afterlife. He also said that being stuck in that stage, and never making it to the end is what purgatory was. So, we've been put in purgatory until further notice? Uriel had already coined a term for the room before even trying to figure out who else was in it, and what to do. He remembered what the Headmaster said, but that didn't leave him with much to think ok. There wasn't even a vague riddle at the end that contained some form of prize. Uriel then gave notice to the two other people in the room. Well, only one of them looked like a person, and a distorted one at that. The other? The other looked to be some kind of robot. Now, Uriel dealt with robots better then monsters, but he was still quite unnerved by them sometimes, even if they also had the shackles of morality place on them. Uriel would have been the type of person to believe computers would one day destroy humanity, had lucis never come into play. But this didn't seem to matter much, because the robot wasn't very responsive at the moment. "Don't put that bow away just yet, friend. I don't think we were summoned here just to make chit-chat." Although the ends of his conscious told him to play nice, the rest of his brain didn't think they would be allowed to do that. The person who put them upt to this was the combat instructor after all. Uriel's hand was already rummaging through the small bag on his side, prepared to draw marbles if need be. Uriel distrusted the idea that playing pacifist would work, but decided to go along with it temporarily. He didn't want to be the one to spark the fire. "The name is Uriel, Sylus. I guess its nice to meet'cha as well." @Noster

(since almost everyone is using colored text for dialouge I guess I also might as well. Helps with reading these a bit.) At Uriel's first remark, Sylus agreed with his body languge by drawing his bow in one swift motion, his other hand shooting towards his quiver and pulling one of his paralysis arrows but not knocking it all the way, bow still slightly lowered. Sylus hoped to restrain Uriel rather than seriously injure him if it came to figthing. "I fear you are most likely correct, Uriel. Knowing what I know of Headmaster ler-Briar, one of us defeating the other is probably the easiest way out, but I'd appreiciate if we tried to figure out another way first." He glanced towards the strange humanoid metal creature, which still has not responded or was really doing anything at all, watching both it and Uriel cautiously, ready to react to any sudden moves. @Tyrant from the West
