Chris grinned and eagerly followed the girl. "Oh! I forgot to introduce myself, I'm Chris Valentine," He said with a smile. "May I ask who you are? And no, I have no idea how things work around here. All I heard about this place is that I could come here to be with people like me." Valentine walked with his hands clasped behind his head, as if he didn't have a care in the world. As of now, he felt like he didn't have any. The running was over, but who knew what this school would hold? Sticking a crapload of super powered teenagers in a school was bound to have it's drawbacks. Especially the guys, some guys were assholes normally, assholes with superpowers had to be a bitch to deal with. "Sooo, does it get crazy around here at all? I'm sure it can't be peaceful all the time right? Bunch of cooped up super powered teens." Christopher wondered what the people would be like. There was one thing he knew for sure, this was definitely going to be interesting...

"Those are both great question," the girl said, "And I'm sure Black will be happy to answer both of them and any more that you have. But for now...take my hand". Terraline stared at the hand outstretched toward her. Did she want to shake it? Did people still shake hands? Terry was pretty sure that gesture was ancient to their generation. Hesitantly, she gave the girl her hand, placing it gently in hers. Terraline was not sure what she expected to happen. Black started explaining 'mutants.' Apparently they were outcasts of society with superpowers. The more he explained, the more she pondered what kind of drugs he had been smoking. By the end of the explanation, she decided crack seemed pretty possible. Well that answered everything. After her parents death, she must have acted freaked out enough to get sent to a loony bin. This was an insane asylum. She was well convinced of this until the shadow of a ball started bouncing around. It had come directly from his shadow. Special effects. Duh. She thought with a sigh. This was not an insane asylum after all; it was all a dumb prank. He went on to tell her that she had a super power too and the people who had attacked her house were mutant killers. Before she could inquire on to whether she was being punked, sounds from the next room interrupted him and he left to check it out. Terraline turned to glare at Cammy, "I'm sorry but is this funny to you people?" Immediately her thoughts went to Josephine. That crazy sociopath was no doubt behind this. These people were her friends and they were screwing with her. This was the last straw. Josephine was going way too far this time. She bit her lip. But then her parents... She had seen their lifeless bodies laying on the ground. She had watched the last of her mother's blood drip from the slit in her neck. That was not a prank. Would Josephine be cruel enough to put her through this after that? Terry already knew the answer to that. She doubted that the girl would even mourn their parents. This was obstacle out of the way to her and now there was no one to stop her from making Terraline's life a complete and living hell. She removed her hand from Cammy's hand with sudden distrust, though it had been there for some moments.

"Funny?" asked Cammy, slightly offended by the question. She looked away and then down at the ground in realization. Terry was just trying to cope with all of this. She had seen it before. When confronted by a hard truth, people will search for any kind of alternate explanation to understand it. And mutants and superpowers was as hard a truth as they came. "Do you want to know how I got here?" she asked "A psycho stabbed my mom in the chest". She paused for a brief moment, never losing eye contact with the girl, as the memories began to build a tear in her eye. "I was there when she died. I felt her die. I took every bit of pain she had in her body at that moment...Because that's my power, see? I take away peoples pain...It's what I was trying to do for you...And that psycho? I beat him half to death. I gave him back every inch of pain he had given my mom until I had nothing left to give and I just blacked out." She wiped a tear from her eye and continued "When I woke up three days later...Like you, now...When my dad told me that people had come looking for me, dangerous people who wanted to kill me...That I somehow had this ability...I didn't want to believe it either. And then he brought me here, to this school filled with kids who could do incredible, bizarre things...It all seemed so ridiculous. So I get how difficult this is. Trust me, I really do. But you asked if we found this funny...Trust me. Nothing about this is funny." Brushing a stray strand of hair from her eyes, Cammy tried to regain her composure and said "Look, I don't pretend to know exactly what brought you here, but if your story is anything like mine...like so many people here...You can believe we're taking it seriously. And trust me when I say this. We're the good guys."

“Obviously had a reset?” Mia reiterated, her anger now replaced with confusion. Although in the video she mentioned how often she had a reset day, Mia assumed she was exaggerating but with the way Rebound spoke to her if it was a common occurrence, her assumption appeared to be false. Although she wasn’t exactly sure if she should trust Rebound as of yet, she knew that she needed his help both to help her around the school as well as to answer a few questions she had. Extending hesitant hand out towards Rebound’s outstretched hand, Mia shook the older teen’s hand. “I’m guessing this type of things happens a lot to me if it is so obvious.” She said before stooping down to pick up the map that Rebound knocked out of her hand. “Honestly, I’m not really sure where I should go. If I remember correctly from the video, we’re at a school right? Do we have classes or something we have to do today? If not, maybe I could go grab something to eat or you could show me the ins and outs of the school and show me a few important places around the school.”

Rebound nodded and shook her hand gently for a moment before dropping it, his gaze locking onto her eyes for a moment, then he quickly looked away. "Yeah, uh, you're right. This happens to you about, umm, I think every two or three weeks." He began walking towards the lounge, assuming that she would follow him. "Today's Saturday, so we don't have any classes today. Plus, it's kind of a weird day cause we've got so many new students arriving today." He waved his hand towards the rooms they were passing and said, "These are the girls dormitories, and we're about to enter an area that has some classrooms in it." Sure enough, they began to pass a few classrooms soon after that, some set up like normal classrooms, while others seemed like places for training. Then they went down a flight of stairs and he said, "Down here is the main floor, where the guys dormitories are, as well as most of the recreational rooms. There's a gym, a lounge, a library, a game room, a cafeteria and so on." He stopped and turned back to her, raising an eyebrow. "You know, most of this you can get from your map. If there's somewhere specific you want to go right now, I can take you. Otherwise, you might as well find your way with the map. How about it? Anything in particular you're feeling you want to do? This place is huge, it has..well, just about everything you could want." His eyebrows drew together in a scowl for a moment. "Well, except normal humans. Good riddance, I say."

"Nah I can't cook at all." Lucas yells in response to the question he has just heard. He walks his way past the two people in the main doorway making his way to the lobby. Upon reaching it he notices Levi up and about the almost empty room. "Hey whats up dude looking for something? Oh by the way a couple of new people are in the kitchen." He leaves the room and heads back outside running into Dolor and Chris (although he doesn't know that Chris is his name yet)."What more new people? Guess I should come to expect new people seeing as this place is for protecting people with our special needs."

"Hm?" He wanted a name? Her hair began turning from water to a liquid iron, each strand a strip. "Chris Valentine, wasn't that the name of like, a character? Resident Evi-- Anyways, you...can call me Dolor Oublier. Everyone just calls me doll though. You'll get used to it, trust me. I mean, you're here now, you really don't have a choice." Some part of what she said was serious, while other parts held humor. "Trust me, it gets crazy..You should see the fights! They're hilarious."

Pamela chickled "maths isn't so bad. But then, I have a good memory. Not like I could just look at paper as a kid and go "oh, two plus two is four!" No, I didn't even know what numbers looked like until I was 12, so I had to remember tha 12 times 36 is 432. If you want, I can help you with your Maths" she said. She blushed as she realized how she was rambling and cleared her throat as Nick asked is anyone could cook. At the reply of no, she sighed and looked to Nick. "I can cook toast. If you are happy with toast" she said, with a shrug. Although she herself was sick of toast, she ate it still. She was also sick of fun food, but she didn't want to do any more fancy cooking, scsred of the risk of fire.

"Toast, huh?" Nick said. "Yeah, that sounds good. I'm down for pretty much anything at this point. But if I just..." Nick strode over to one of the pantries and opened it. Once open, he quickly grabbed the thin, rectangular box and took it out. "Here we go!" Nick said, revealing a box of cereal. Cornflakes, to be exact. Thankfully, his power made it so that he didn't have to look very hard. He knew where everything he needed was as well. "I'm really glad that this place has cornflakes." Nick said, rifling through another cupboard. He withdrew his hand to reveal his prize: Sugar. He moved to another cabinet to grab a bowl and spoon, and came up arms full with breakfast materials. Nick Loved cornflakes, obviously. He liked their delightful crunch and the way they went down so easily. He could tell they were good quality cornflakes judging by the shape and the thinness, and he liked adding sugar to it. His friends used to say that he had some obsession with cornflakes. There was one time he justified it by saying that he might do worse in his studies due to lack of motivation coming from cornflake deprivation, but that hadn't really worked out. Regardless, cornflakes were justice. But he knew he'd need more than just cornflakes, so he went to another cupboard and reached for an item he knew was there. "Jam for toast!" Nick declared, retracting his hand with strawberry jam in his clutches. He added it to his pile and made his way to a table, carefully placing the items onto it, but Nick noticed there was something missing. Nick thought for a moment and remembered it. He went back to one of the cupboards and pulled out another bowl and spoon, as well as 2 plates for the toast and 2 cups. He then put them onto the table and went to the fridge again, grabbing a bottle of orange juice. By placing it on the table, the table was set. "Tadah!" Nick said, stretching his arms wide, as if to show off the table. He turned back to Pam and grinned. "Breakfast preparations are complete!" He announced, smiling widely. "Now we just need toast and we're good to go. Oh, actually, what about Lance? What does he eat?"

Ryuu looked over at Nick, who was preparing a meal of cornflakes and toast. She moved her bacon on a plate and sat down. Ryuu carefully grabbed a piece of bacon, trying not to stab it. She are it, thankfull that she knew how to cook most meats pretty well.

"I'm sorry for your loss."Terraline said quietly. She felt guilty for being a bit rude to the girl. This was not a joke and she knew that deep down. Truth was she wasn't quite over what had just happened. Her emotions were all over the place and she had never felt so confused in her life. It felt so dream-like. However, every time she pinched her arm, nothing happened. She had to try to face this with an open mind if they were going to get anywhere with this. It seemed that the only reason she was still alive was because of the people who brought her here. The many questions she had would have to wait. Surely there was someone in charge who could explain everything. This girl had went through the same thing as Terry. Cammy was also kind enough to use her free time to help a stranger. Terry at least owed her some respect and understanding. In fact, she had felt a rush of pain relief in the brief moment that she had held hands with Cammy just the way she described it. "I... I will try to humor you but the thing is: I have no special or bizarre reason. I'm unaware of anyone in my family having-"She broke off as her mind went back to the memory of her brother appearing and disappearing before her eyes. What exactly had he been doing...? With impeccable timing, Xander strolled into the room. Dressed in his usual all-black attire, he made his way over, taking a bite out of an big apple he clutched in his hand. He loomed over the girls with his startling height with slightly interested blue eyes. "Morning, sis. Heard you almost got your throat slit. That sucks." Terry traced the shallow cut on her neck, the memory returning. She swallowed hard. "You okay?" He asked her, plopping down on the bedside. They had never been super close but they could be considered at the least friends. He seemed genuine enough with his inquiry. "Yeah. I'm fine." Terraline replied, "You?" She couldn't help but wonder where he had been in the mess and what had happened to him. "So I'm guessing you know what happened, right?" "Well yeah. I asked around so I can inform your clueless ass. Our parents got murdered by some secret government force and they were gonna kill us too when a bunch of guys showed up and saved us. They then took us to this school to live in. Neat, isn't it?" He took another bite of his apple as his eyes traveled to Cammy, "Hello there beautiful." He gave her a warm smile and a wink. "Thanks for keeping my sister company. It's very sweet of you." "How are you so calm ...?"Terraline asked in surprise. He was acting like none of this was happening. It was just another day to him. "Well no reason for me to freak out. Life happens and we move on." He shrugged and grinned suddenly, "Better get out of here. Josie's right in the next room. " The color drained from Terry's face and she sat up fast, "What?"She whispered. "She's here." "Yep... "He glanced back at Cammy, "Say, cutie, what's your name?"

Pamela watched as Nick went through gathering breakfast stuff. Lance watched, clearly hoping for some food. She went over to a fridge, and managed to find some food for him, looking over as Nick asked about Lance. "Whatever this meat and such is" She said "don't let him fool you if he give you puppy dog eyes for some of your food. It's enough for him" she said, putting it in a bowl, and filling another bowl up with water for Lsnce, putting it down so that Lance could eat and drink" She went to the toaster, starting to cook the toast. It unnerved her and made her feel nervous to be responsible for someone else's food, but then, Nick seemed to enjoy cornflakes. As the toast was ready, she dished it out, and went over to Nick. She smiled nervously "there we go"

"Thanks." Nick said, taking his plate of toast. There were 2 pieces, and he grabbed one of them in his hand. With his other hand, he opened the Jar of Jam and grabbed a the butter knife on the plate. Nick took some jam on the blade and spread it around, coating the surface of the toast with thick red jelly. He took a bite and was satisfied with the taste. "This is pretty good." Nick said, chewing the taking another bite. He quickly finished the slice of toast and dusted off his hands. "That was tasty." He said, satisfied with it. "Though maybe butter might have been a good idea... Oh well." Nick took the box of cornflakes and poured some into his bowl. He liked the sound they made when they dropped into the bowl, and he remembered that if you angled the bowl just right back home, the light would make them seem like gold. It made an impression on him when he was young, so maybe that was why he was obsessed with cornflakes. Nick finished pouring cornflakes and put the box down near where Pam sat, so that she could get some if she wanted it. Suddenly, Nick remembered that there was another person eating breakfast on the table. "Ah, I'm being rude." He said. He picked up his plate with the remaining slice of toast and offered it to the girl eating bacon, who was sitting close to Nick and Pam. "Sorry for ignoring you." He said sheepishly. "Would you like some toast?"

"No thanks, I'll stick to my bacon. I like meat better anyways," Ryuu responded. Meat had always tasted better than nah other food type. Probably because of the side. Ryuu clamped a hand over her mouth. She felt fire rising in her throat. Ryuu was able to breath fire whenever, but sometimes if she hadn't spit fire, it would make her breath fire. So Ryuu quickly stood up. She ran outside as fast as she could. Lucky she made it outside fast enough, and when Ryuu opened her mouth, the building was untouched by the jet of white hot fire.

Walking into the dorm rooms, Ris felt the hard cemented ground turn into sleek tile floors. He stretched his toes, feeling some relief from them as the electricity went straight down. He smelled something from the kitchen. He began to feel curious as most people would be out and about at this time of day, going to classes and having a "normal" life, or at least as "normal" as one can be at Riverwood. He was about to enter when he saw a pink-haired girl run out of the building, hand over her mouth. Ris stopped as she went by, heading for outdoors. He sighed as he thought of the many accidents that had occurred here from the students' lack of control. He began to head outside to check on Ryuu as she may want some help. He had been lectured enough about his lack of control and the many dangers to the human populace. It is not his fault that he cannot control his powers. Ris had tried many times to direct his power and he had been awarded by some control, but it was like a static shock when he consciously used his ability. When he was not paying attention...well, you would just have check the infirmary for his latest victim. He lumbered out the door to see Ryuu was shooting out flames. "Are you okay?" The flames seem to be encircling into the sky. His eyes drifted to it, watching as it made the many shapes fire tended to make.

"I'm okay. Just..." Ruth hesitated. How would shy phrase her problem. It wasn't even really a problem. It just kind of happened every now and then. Smoke rose from Ryuu's mouth. Her wings felt cramped in her jacket. That always seemed to happen after letting out large amounts of flame. So Ryuu took off her jacket, wearing a blue tank top with slits in it underneath. She spread her wings wide, loosening them up.

Ris watched as Ryuu took off her jacket and saw her wings as they unfolded. He was taken in at the length of them and he turned towards the sky, feeling a gentle breeze past by them. He felt a small jolt go through the air as he was taken aback, but he did grab a hold of the release and draw it back into his body. He did not want to hurt another person, especially someone with the gift of flight. "Those wings...are you able to fly with them? If yes, you are one of the luckiest people to be alive."

Lucas walks his way back to the kitchen, knowing well that this is the most he has been in the school since he got there. Always preferring the outdoors, he is starting to become uncomfortable with his surroundings, he reaches the kitchen and puts up his honey, grabbing a jar of peanut butter with the same label the honey jar had. "So anyone want to know why I'm here?" he goes to a drawer and grabs a spoon." I'll tell you if you open this peanut butter." Lucas places the jar on the table close to Nick.

Nick watched the small girl clamp her hands over her mouth and run outside, quickly disappearing out of his range. He doubted she was doing it on purpose, and he was sure she had her reasons, but Nick was saddened that she didn't want the toast. He was genuinely sorry for ignoring her, and it appeared that his feelings didn't really go through. Regardless of that, Nick stared out in the direction she left, wondering what happened. "I've never seen such an adverse reaction to toast." Nick said, curious. He soon realised the stupidity of his statement, laughed to himself a little and put the plate down, toast and all. He grabbed the milk and started pouring it out, but he felt like he was forgetting something again. The 'something' in question placed a jar of something in front of nick and he remembered what it was. There were 2 people in the kitchen before him and Pam. One was the girl cooking bacon, the other had bear-like features. A little weird, but he'd have to get used to it. "Ah, sorry." Nick said, grabbing the jar. With a little effort, the lid popped off of the jar and Nick got a wiff of the contents. Peanut butter? He thought. "Were you here for breakfast?" Nick asked, offering the jar to the bear-handed boy.

"I can fly with these wings, but I don't consider myself the luckiest person at all" Ryuu told Ris. Sure, flight was considered a great gift. But she had a fairly large price to pay for her flight. White hot flames, animal instincts, and talons all made her dangerous. And she wasn't in control of her animal instincts all the time.
