March 5, 2020:
The skies remained grey and the rain seemed to fall harder. The fighter jets from before began to break off from their assault of the mother-ship, deeming losses to high, and flew off away from the previous battle. The mother-ship itself was now slowly passing over a small, empty island.
You barely made it, as soon as you jumped on top the ship it began to leave towards it's mothership. The dropship spewed a short stream of blue engine exhaust, launching it forwards.
As your were slowly pushed towards a pod you could hear a loud thumping noise on the roof of the spacecraft. Unbeknownst to you this was River making her landing. The aliens also clearly noticed it but didn't seem to bothered to investigate at this moment.
As you began to attack River the drop-ship you both stood atop of began to enter a large room, if you looked around you could see it was obviously a Hangar bay of some sort due to the mass amount of ships landed. The drop-ships all had their loading doors open, humans were being escorted out of each by various Alien crew members. At the far end of the hangar were a set of large double doors behind another alien, but this one stood taller than the rest, in it's hands it held a golden trident.
Everyone's efforts, including your own, seemed to be helping greatly as the number of aliens present in the city seemed to be falling by the second. However, the number of aliens returning to the mothership seemed to be increasing. Unfortunately they just can't seem to leave quick enough, a single fighter managed to track you down and unleashed a barrage of bright blue beams as it followed behind you.
The aliens, while their presence was decreasing, seemed to fight all the more harder. Since they had stopped their abductions the aliens seemed to think it wise to turn their larger guns on you, in particular, their drop-ships. Much like MC, some of the remaining drop-ships decided to attack you instead of returning.
Your super powered antics caused civilians to flee in fear, unfortunately this also earned you the scorn of various alien infantry. As you began to speed down another road you could see various aliens ahead of you holding shields and lances, setting up a pike wall of sorts, waiting for you to approach their weapon's energized blades. The aliens that had seen you drive by had radioed their friends ahead, alerting them to your presence.

River whips around just in time to see yet another alien running toward her. She growls under her breath, but quickly notices that this female does not look like the rest of the attacking aliens. She narrows her eyes and quickly drops and rolls out of the way right as they enter the hangar. She bends down, hopefully hiding herself from the alien, and snaps at the woman, "I am not your enemy. I'm just a special girl from the outside of town. Those others are your enemy. Do I look like them? Now, while you thaw out, I'm going to find a way to actually save these people!" She jogs away from the woman, heading toward the back of the aircraft, looking down into the hangar. She notices the large alien with a trident and frowns. It is possible that this could be the main alien. She did not know if she took it down if the rest would go down. Looking below in the hangar, she notices a group of humans coming out of the drop ship, being lead and shoved by a few of the aliens. Moving carefully and hopefully unseen, she drops down into the ground of humans, falling in line with them. She keeps her head down, making sure to pull her hood up around her face so she isn't noticed. She would follow this group to the first hallway and split off from there to search for the control room.

Basoth saw the mother ship rising in altitude he examined his surroundings and managed to spot a troop transport much like the one he’d taken out earlier. No doubt they’d be more aware than the ones he’d fought before, Luckily it wasn't too far away. As soon as he got the chance he ran towards it and managed to hold on to the bottom. He moved up and de-constructed himself into a vent moving inside the currently empty unloading area, he reconstructed in the room and moved along, he moved into what seemed to be a holding area. Humans being in tubes there were minimal injuries. All of a sudden he heard foot steps, "Oh gallius" he cursed to himself, he was in no state to fight and so hopped into the nearest vacant pod hoping they would't think any differently. He felt the ship lurch backwards as it seemed to accelerate faster, he was on his way to the Mother ship.

Bolt was flying through the air with a bag of money when someone tried to shoot him down. Luckily he had noticed the hero and was able to quickly maneuver out of the way. Nikolai was mad that someone tried to shoot him down and mess with his money. "That shithead!" he said with a looney angry face. He wheeled around and looked at Press as he began to charge up a powerful blast of electricity. "I hope you like kittens, because these cute bastards are quite shocking!" he yelled as he created five large kittens made out of pure electricity and they shot straight towards the hero. He then noticed to the aliens and Bolt's eyes went wide with amazement. "Damn! We've got aliens in this? This seems so cliche to me" he said more to himself. ---- Kobby was still meditating when he recieved a disturbance in the spiritual world around him and he realized that something was happening. he pulled himself out of his spiritual meditation and saw that there were aliens who were attacking the city. Kobby went into action and quickly made his way to a group of aliens who had cornered some people. He summoned his drum and quickly began to play and like magic Kobby summoned a spectral rhino that began to charge at the aliens. If the aliens had a soul or spirit then they would knocked down by the charging spirit and would have their spirit harmed.

Marilyn had stopped to watch the woman speak, and leave. It was only then she got a glimpse of the aliens holding a trident. She said nothing as the girl left, it was evident to her that she found her actions unwise. No matter. Perhaps she would be able to damage this ship from the interior. She slid her blade made of blood back into her arm, and then slowly sank through the glass floor. From here she would be able to reach any part of the ship so long as there was glass. She felt the tug of a window and followed it, ending up somewhere deep within the ship, away from the majority of the patrolling guards. As she pulled through all the way and stepped down from the ledge, she could see she was in some sort of.... break room that had a panel to show the aliens relaxing on the inside, though, none were prevalent at this moment. "Luck." She murmured to herself. Marilyn then turned down the hall and began running, each step carrying a heavy 'CLANK!' as it hit the floor, another precursor to her bodyweight. She hadn't sensed many windows in many other places, but on the interior of the ship where she had come out it had come to her knowledge that the highest amount of glass was around here. That could only mean one thing. The observatory deck was near. The Pilot, thus, would also be quite near. She continued to run down the hall, shutting out all thought except to consider her next options; her footsteps a din behind her.

The number of alien ground units seemed to be decreasing, which suited Press just fine. As he turned, he was greeted with the rather surprising sight of large electric kittens flying toward him. He quickly turned and started flying backwards while aiming his palms at the incoming threats. As he was about to fire, though, a large burst of laser fire shot down the kittens at the location where Press had been. If he hadn't moved, he most likely would have been shot down. Still, there was no time to think about that. The thief could wait; he needed to focus on the larger threats, the drop ships that had now decided to shoot at him with their weapons. Then he had an idea. He had no idea if it would work with alien tech, but it was definitely worth a try. He then shot upwards and backwards, towards the ocean, with the alien aircrafts in hot pursuit, firing bursts of powerful laser bolts at irregular intervals. He returned fire at them, only for his lasers to strike some sort of force field. Figures they would have defenses. Still, it was of little consequence. As they reached the water's edge, Press set his plan into action, turning off the drop ships' propulsion systems and forcing them to obey only his commands. This was made possible thanks to his ability to manipulate technology, and what he just did meant that the aliens inside could not get their ships to move the way they wanted, causing their ships to dive into the ocean by the forces of gravity. Press smirked, knowing what he just did was awesome, but felt the mental fatigue beginning to set in. What he had done was also not the easiest thing in the world, especially when dealing with multiple complex systems at once. There were other ships firing at other people, but Press figured that perhaps he could do something about that. Taking control of one ship's weapons systems, he turned them onto other alien ships, causing confusion among the aliens as they then began firing at each other. --- Meanwhile, Horus continued its directives, following the drop ship that it had been ordered to follow. Rivers had landed on it, but that did not deter Horus from following. Besides, it's not like anyone would notice Horus, as it's body was cloaked, causing its body to only be visible as a patch of light that seemed to be a bit off. Nothing that could be noticed unless you were expecting it.

Bolt was disappointed that something else had destroyed his precious kittens and he was rather annoyed. He then noticed that the hero was focused on the alien invaders and he rolled his eyes. how hard was it to get someone's attention? it was only aliens for Christ's sake! He decided that he would have to take down the aliens and attack the hero as well to get this arrogant asshole's full attention. He saw aliens attacking people on the ground and he flew at incredible speeds towards the invaders. Not caring about the safety of the people, Bolt fired off a very powerful blast of electricity towards the alien creatures and it caused a powerful explosion which killed the aliens as well as several innocent people. Bolt then turned his sights on the ships and Press. He flew towards them and smiled when he came within thirty feet of the hero and the ships. "Hay asshat! Never turn your back on Bolt! Let's bring on the thunder!" he shouted and released an extremely powerful electric blast from his body. The explosion blew away a few ships and caused them to fall from the sky. it was also headed straight for Press and if it hit then the hero would be sent flying and badly electrocuted.

Above Jump City...
BOOM! The noise of a Boom Tube was no quiet thing in any sense of the word, it was in the name after all; it was both very visible and detectable as an energy source. The sentient Motherbox had deemed it appropriate to announce the Boom Tubes sole passenger to the entire city with the sound, launching a black and gold streak from the radiant tunnel and into the hull of the invading mothership. It quickly closed up there after, apparently only having one additional invader to add to the mess. Her landing was not exactly painful, but it did leave sore feeling through her legs. With a groan she stood to full height, clenching her gold plated left fist and looking out over the chaotic landscape. She squinted her glowing white eyes, focusing instead on where she stood. "Even free from Him, there is no rest." Muttered the black and gold clad girl, her blue hair caught up by the high altitude winds. She began to make her way across the surface of the mothership, trying to find some sort of entrance into the craft. It was vast and, from her analysis, advanced. It was no New Genesis or Apokolips technology, but it at least deserved to be called advanced. Hopefully like any other advanced craft, it had a detection suite which would have noticed her less-than-subtle presence. A crack of thunder and a flash of golden light heralded the appearance of her weapon, the Thunderlance. She continued aimlessly across the top of the mothership, hopeing for some sort of response... be it friendly or hostile.

Masa cringed in frustration as he pressed on towards the wall of alien spears, "No-no-no-no-no" he echoed in his head, desperately trying to think of a way out. Soon enough an idea dawned on him, and once more he called out Locomotive Breath, though this time with a mere thought, as opposed to calling it by name. Masa gritted his teeth and took a sharp 90° turn to the left, praying to himself that his plan would succeed. Bound in to collide into the long wall of a building, he pointed forward and gave the command for Locomotive Breath to do its thing. The guardian spirit rushed towards the wall let loose another rapid barrage of punches, each causing a devastating impact upon hitting its mark. After but a few hits, a large enough breach had been made in the side of the building, allowing Masa to ride in with relative ease. Now riding his motorcycle through what looked like a deserted shopping center, both Masa and his guardian rode through the aisle, the latter batting away any obstacles with agile punches and kicks. A minute later, Masa tore through the glass doors of the store's entrance, winding up in a large parking lot. Masa stopped his bike and surveyed the surroundings, hoping that he'd escaped the alien foe for now.

The retaliation of the alien ships wasn't unexpected and was easy to deal with for MC. After all they kept their distance, meaning he was easily able to put up portals to redirect the shots right back, blowing the ships out of the sky. "Ho hum. How boring. Guess I should turn my attention to the mothership." MC said to himself as another ship just shot itself to death from his portals. He used a series of portals to get himself to the ship, and found someone on top. He wasn't sure who they were or what, but they seemed to be engaging the aliens, so MC gave them a hand by causing a few aliens to fall a great height with some well placed portals or using portals to divert blaster shots back at the aliens themselves. MC wasn't bored enough to use portals for more direct methods of attack yet.

Back at the Unnamed Mansion...
Velrus was able to witness most of what went on due to the well-placed camera and flat screen TV of which he had no idea where it came from. There were a lot of 'supers' running around and using their powers to try and stop the aliens. Heroes. Were they heroes? Velrus wasn't entirely sure. Perhaps some of them would be more inclined to destroy the otherworldly threat for self-preservation rather than saving society. That's what he would be doing, anyway. At the same time, he had no cause to defend that filthy city. Jump City. Although he did have a desire to 'participate' somehow. He glanced over to the corner, looking for one of his previous inventions. Sure enough, it was there. Most of Velrus' inventing took place in a more laboratory-esque room in the mansion, but this was an invention which Velrus needed. Well, he thought he needed it. It would eventually become the staple of his communication to the outside world when he finished it. For use against heroes, no doubt. It was a screen akin to a television, save for the fact that it connected wirelessly to a webcam which was situated in an enclosed room in the mansion. The television screen had a camera equipped to it, and was attached to rocket thrusters which kept it aloft...somehow. Its intended use would be a way for Velrus to taunt and jeer at heroes while he stayed at a relatively safe location, and as such it was dubbed the Communication Screen of Taunting, or the CSoT for short. Velrus never was that good at naming things. Still, when the invention was finished, he would be able to taunt freely and mechanically. At least until someone destroyed it. There's no warranty on it.

March 5, 2020:
Forever seemed to pass as the aliens escorted you through the hallways. The corridors themselves seemed to be what you would expect from a space craft, the walls were clean, the lights illuminated far more than they should have, and there seemed to be computer terminals near some of the walls. As your train of captives continued through various rooms you could have sworn you saw what looked to be like an elevator.
The command crew in charge of your ship were to busy, or just didn't care enough, to check the pods. In a matter of minutes the ship successfully landed in the mothership. Your tactic managed to work earlier, but now that the time came for the aliens to unload their captives they immediately spotted you.
While you could sense the glass of the observation deck, it would make even more sense for the pilot to not be there. However an alarm began to sound throughout the ship, alerting the aliens to your presence, soon they would be swarming you in waves.
Controlling the current ship, like the previous ones, soon began to exhaust you. But your efforts were successful in sowing decent among some of the invaders air force, causing many of them to divert their fire to the current traitorous ship. Your remote bird, still atop a dropship, observed what seemed to be the alien commander leaving for other parts of the ship; his massive golden trident still in hand.
Your powerful bolt didn't quite have the effect you wanted as you blasted the ships, your electricity trickled around the outside of the ships simply causing them to fall or dig themselves into the side of a building; however your attempt at destruction was unfortunately a success. The debris from the ships crashing into buildings fell onto both cars and people, either burying them, or pinning them down. Your spectral rhino appeared to be effective as the group of aliens were knocked down. After a few seconds it seemed the aliens were down for the count, perhaps Kobbys' magic was far more effective than technology.
You saw no access hatch on the roof of the mother-ship, however the aliens appeared to have their own portal technology, although familiar to you with it's orange glow and powerful boom, it didn't seem to have the same quality or at least it just didn't feel the same. Multiple portals opened up atop the ship, allowing multiple invaders to pass through, they wasted no time in aiming their weapons at you; in their carelessness they had left their portals open.
Your attempt at juggling the aliens didn't quite work as well as you had hoped. The portals you summoned appeared, but they fluctuated in strength and quickly disappeared. The aliens continued to focus their fire on both you and the one other heroine on top of the mother ship.
As you emerged onto a parking lot you unfortunately happened upon one of the final pick up rins. You could see they were quickly loading up humans into the back of their ships, occasionally the shoved them in order to move the process along faster.

As the aliens fired on one another, Press was starting to breathe rather heavily. He placed a few fingers on the side of his head; work like this wasn't easy. However, he now had another threat to deal with, and an annoying one at that. "Hay asshat! Never turn your back on Bolt! Let's bring on the thunder!" a voice yelled at Press. He turned to see the thief again; damn guy just wouldn't know when to quit. Then the huge wave of electricity shot towards him, and Press wasted no time shooting upwards into the sky to avoid the lightning. The alien ships below, though, were not so lucky as they fell from the sky and crashed into the buildings. While glad the ships were out for the count, the way it was done had endangered civilians. If that damned thief wanted a fight so bad then so be it. In retaliation, Press flew to a lower altitude so he would be on the same level as the thief and aimed his palms at him. He then began firing his explosive lasers at him. This way, if either of them missed, the lasers would hit as few buildings as possible and cause the least amount of property damage, as well as endanger less civilians. Meanwhile, Horus had spotted the alien commander and noted its trident. Marking it by its distinct appearance from the other aliens, Horus then began keeping an eye on it, making sure it wouldn't escape its sights easily.

Hot Socks was being pushed in a line towards large pods. He deduced that if they were trying to put people into pods, they would probably be collectors. He decided to stop playing along with these so called collectors, and waited for his time to strike. Waiting... Waiting... The time wasn't coming. The rhythm of those pushing him was unbreakable. He couldn't just get their attention like that. Something had to help him when a loud thud hit the roof. The guards were disoriented for a mere moment, but it was enough. He slammed his metal fist into one of the guards stomach, and charged past them, towards the nearest doorway. Anyone caught in the way would have to experience the full force of a fully charged Brass Knuckle Punch.

River glances toward the elevator. She quickly slips out underneath the armed guard, rolling away as quietly as she can. She heads toward the elevator and sees that it is almost like a normal human elevator. She taps the up button and waits for the elevator to descend. She looks around, hoping that no one notices her, when the elevator doors open. Standing in the elevator are some more aliens. They stare at each other in shock for a moment and River exclaims, "You've got to be kidding!" One of them raises their weapon and charges at her. She quickly dodges him, pressing her hand against his back and freezes him. As he falls to the floor, he shatters. She then grabs his unharmed weapon and stabs the next alien with it, blocking herself with the body as the other two blast at her. She throws ice at the floor, causing them to fall and she stabs them as well with the alien saber. She then walks calmly into the elevator and looks at the buttons for the different floors. She sees one that looks fairly similar to an CA in English and she hits that, hoping it's the correct one. Right then the alarms start to go off and she sighs. Great. Who set off the alarm? She continues to ride the elevator up.

The alarms blared overhead, practically vibrating the metallic frame of Marilyn. "Oops." She leaned forward until she was nearly ready to fall over, hearing the much faster pit-pat of steps not far behind her. The slight weight change increased her speed a little, but it help that overall she was slower due to her speed. None the less, she seemed to be outrunning the ones behind her until she hit a fork in the path. The aliens swarmed towards her through the open passageways, causing her to skid to a stop. She dropped into a defensive crouch as foes surrounded her, pausing and barricading her path. They all stared each other down, the aliens speaking amongst themselves as Marilyn remained still, her grey eyes flicking from one person to the next. Her hand hovered over her slit forearm, poised, waiting. Then they fell forward, practically clambering over the top of each other in the enclosed hallway. With a battlecry, she ripped from her arm a segmented glass snake sword, and a glass shield formed on her arm with the wound. As one came at her, she was able to kick him in the gut back against his friends to give her glass a chance to solidify entirely, before turning and hitting another oncomer in head with the brunt of her hilt. She had never learned, formally, how to fight. She had always been able to observe though, and if there was anything she learned all the years she had spying on the pirates that held her captive, it was that using your own body weight, and your opponents against them, was key. Marilyn may be heavy and thus usually slower moving, but when she used it, it could become a deadly tool in combat on its own. She pivoted, extending her arm to slash through two more oncomers, the force behind the pivot crucial. The snake-blade's segments parted and whipped across several more she hadn't been aiming for. Another came at her side, but she stood her ground and raised her shield, shoving him off when he had stopped and bringing her sword down to meet his neck. She brought it back up, alien blood dripping from its sharpened edge. At that moment, an alien leapt onto her back and began to stab her repeatedly. Reacting on instinct, she cried out in pain as a glass spike went through her back, ripping open the flesh as it went to impale her attacker through the neck. He groaned, gurgling against the solid glass as he slid down the spike, his neck resting against her back. Marilyn crouched down, panting as the spike slid back into her body. The Aliens, disturbed by what they just saw, hesitated. There were so many of them.... Slowly, her shield turned back into a liquid and dropped, a shiny mercury like mixture on the floor. It was too damaged to return to her body. Her sword, however, remained. Panting, she looked up, her grey and black eyes seeming to be boiling in rage. She began to stand up. As she did, there was the sound of flesh being torn open. Standing at full, it became clear what the sound was coming from as multiple mercury colored tentacles, solid only at their pointed tips, emerged from her back. The aliens even began to shuffle now, a little uneasy. For once, her face held an expression. All the pent up rage she had at her captors. The misery of the humiliation she endured. The visual of her great city falling into shambles. It all was here, right now. She seemed to let out a visceral growl as she lunged, lighter with some of her blood gone. The many tentacles worked quickly, piercing through flesh, ripping apart limbs, impaling most of them on the neck like the first one. Though she had lunged initially, she walked now, calmly, with the same expression of one who had seen what can't be unseen.

Bolt smiled as he saw that his actions got the hero's attention as well as bring down the alien ships into buildings. He saw Press fly up to dodge his attack and then come back down to start shooting at him with lasers. Bolt pointed his hands at Press and began to fire off balls of electricity in rapid succession. "BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM!" Bolt shouted as he shot his electricity. One of the hero's lasers managed to graze him against his thigh and he grunted in pain. Bolt quickly began to fly around Press in a circular path and moving at very fast speeds to avoid the lasers while he retaliated with a powerful bolt of electricity from his hands.

Tch. The last of the thugs had barely lost consciousness when there was all that commotion outside of the alleyway. Rei had been reattaching her sheathed blade to her belt, adjusting her scarf and goggles, when she caught wind of the invasion. Jeez, didn't they know what happened when they did crap like this? Oh, sure, it was surprising, but it wasn't like it was the first time the world had suffered from an alien attack. Crazy shit happened all the time. Sure, it was a shock, she was surprised... but damn it, this ticked her the hell off! Not only was she stuck with family she didn't know, there were fucking aliens going around and trying to abduct people. This pissed her off a whole fucking lot. Well, she wasn't quite the same kind of hero as some of the others going around in this world, but she still had her edge. Her right hand gripped Kouryu's hilt, and blue electricity crackled up through the sheath. Sure, it wasn't as intense as if the blade was naked... but it packed a punch. It was worth a shot seeing if these bastards were just as vulnerable to a shock as the thugs on the street. They sure as hell didn't see her yet. Spinning on her heel, she immediately broke into a sprint without a pause. The nearest alien was about to get the shock of his life! Raising the sheathed Kouryu up, Street Dragon swung her blade down and slammed it into the alien's armor. Immediately a burst of electricity erupted up through the blade and out the sheath, blasting out into the invader. There was a crack like lightning as it sent him rocketing several feet away and slamming into the ground, hard.

Press moved to avoid Bolt's electric balls just as Bolt did for his lasers. However, he was not in the best of shape and some of the balls landed, damaging his armor. The suit was already making its repairs, but the repairs would not be complete for some time. Then came the circling and another powerful blast of electricity. Turning to just barely dodge the blast, Press realized that he needed to move, and fast. Press quickly shot up into the sky and sped towards the ocean, going as fast as his suit would allow. He turned so he would face backwards and readied himself to fire, knowing full well that Bolt would most likely give chase to what appeared to be a fleeing hero.

Atop the Mothership... The newcomer looked between the welcoming party and her spear, and promptly returned it to where it came from, the weapon in question fizzling away into golden arcs of energy. "I need not insult Thunderlance with your blood - whatever you may be. Your technology is not alien to me, so you may know what I am." Her odd, different voice carried through the air even at such altitudes, unwavering and carrying all the weight of a mountain behind the words. "If you know what I am - if you understand me - then you will hold fire and put down your weapons. Fail to do so, and I will scatter you. The choice is yours." Even if she was not understood in word, the feeling of what she was saying was very clear; an ultimatum for them to decide on. Her eyes change from pure white, igniting into a fierce red-orange, the energy pouring out from them with a distinct Kirby-krakle. She took a step step forward, a movement promising only pain to the aliens if they failed to comply with her demands. Her very body promised the exact same thing, stood 'normally', but clearly wound to pounce with inhuman levels of strength at the first sign of an attack. She would not be denied, one way or another. Be they from New Genesis or Apokolips, the New Gods are universal legends, entities from beyond normal space with an immense connection to the Source its self. To pick a fight with one was akin to trying to throw down with a Kryptonian under a yellow sun - worse so in some cases. If they were not silly, they would listen to her demands... not that she did not welcome the opportunity to stretch a little.
