Oh. I assumed it was a plot point because something something Speed Force.

That's an even better move actually.

[Edit]
That can still fit, after all not every league member could have been up in the watch tower or in space.

[Edit v2]

I'm not quite sure what to think of your app, but I think it's hilarious, and it would be wrong of me to deny since I have approved a rat man previously. I accept your app, move it over to the char tab when you feel like it.

I'm feeling alot of beast boy on this, what do you have to say about that? Other than that, I don't really want to accept it, mostly because of the animal shape changing thing. I suppose I should wait until you get a bio, but I'm not sure I'd accept this.

What do I have to say? Well... My original Intent was to make him a strictly venomous shifter type, the thing about the cat was an afterthought. I got the bio up. My only inspiration was a few similar characters I've done the past, and my favourite song, Animals by Nickleback. If you don't accept it that would be fine, but I'd say I'd be a bit disappointed.

Do you have room for one more? I've been looking at this thread for a while, but I haven't really thought up a character until now. I'm thinking of making a body-jumper.

Name: Jon Fawn

Alias: Homefront

Age: 35 at time of accident

Personality: Jon is zealous to a fault, owing to his powers. If he sets his mind to something, he will not stop until it is completed. However, his powers have given him a slightly skewed sense of morality. He does not treat life as sacred and will march his hosts into the fires of Hell itself in the pursuit of justice. When not occupied by the pursuit of justice, Jon is doting and fatherly.

Powers: Possession: Jon can take control of any sufficiently unpowered individual, giving them supernaturally-enhanced speed, strength, and endurance. When possessed, his host reverts to the average peak physical fitness of a member of the host's species. Cripples suddenly become able to walk and talk, the critically wounded's condition rapidly improves, and the artificially-enhanced suddenly lose their artificial enhancements. Jon's hosts are physically incapable of being killed, though trauma that would induce unconsciousness will force Jon to stop possessing them and revert the host to the condition they were in prior to possession.

While he lacks any physical means of communication, Jon is still capable of communicating with the world by ever-so-slightly extending his powers into the consciousnesses surrounding him. This telepathic speech is only blocked by psychic defenses or disruptors.

Weakness: Jon is only capable of interacting with the world so long as he has potential hosts. Powerful and exceptionally willful beings are entirely exempt from possession. If Jon's possession is broken on a previously wounded or disabled target, their wounds and disabilities will immediately return, potentially landing them in critical condition.
Technology and magic that disrupt psychic energy is extremely painful to Jon, but not sufficient to force him out of a possessed state.

Appearance: Jon's appearance depends on who he's controlling. When attempting to possess a host, Jon appears as a light cloud of condensation that is largely invisible to those not within close range.

Bio: Jon Fawn was once a loving father and a brilliant neuroscientist studying the theory of the "collective consciousness", an abstract idea that humans as a whole share ideas through cultural osmosis and some ill-defined "network" of minds.

While testing his theory in a cushy New York laboratory, tragedy struck at the same time the dreaded Ultra-Humanite did! The nefarious villain was also testing a theory on consciousness... why bother with a dangerous and extensive brain transplant when a simple transplant of the consciousness would be much quicker and easier?
Before the Ultra-Humanite's trial run (force Jon Fawn's mind into a lab rat's body and vice versa) could be fully completed, the Justice League broke in and saved the day for everyone! Unfortunately, Jon Fawn could not be recovered, and his comatose corpse would forever languish in the coma ward. Jon Fawn's consciousness, however, was consigned to live forever as an immortal pseudoghost: a stream of pure psychic energy without form or function.

Without a body to call home, Jon could do nothing but watch the countless evil acts of the world occur around him. After years of being forced to watch the evils of the world doing what they do, Jon finally came to an epiphany, and discovered his powers! The sheer potential for power abuse struck Jon like a stack of bricks, but utterly failed to corrupt him. Instead, mild-mannered Jon Fawn became the glorious Homefront, hero of the bystander in all of us!

Arc Ideas: Possessing the wrong person during an attack on a foreign dignitary causes an international incident.

If you're sure, I could summarize what has happened in a few sentences, but I respect your decision. Good luck in your other rps.

Change Society to League, since the JSA doesn't exit here, other than that I accept. I'm hesitant to do this since you basically possess people, he kinda reminds me of another teen titans character. But since people can resist you I suppose I can accept this.

I should really get a Co-GM for this since my statements sometimes vary a lot. But I suppose there isn't anything wrong with your character, he's as weak as his animals, although he isn't the first to remind me of another hero. I accept.

Starting to rethink that skeleton man app, but it's way to late.

Way ahead of you, friend. I've determined that Homefront will never possess any heroes or villains already being controlled by someone else. This would probably extend to @clanjos's monster contestants, despite how unlikely that is.

Also, one question: What (set of) universe(s) is this RP based out of? Is it just the New 52?

@KriticalKrab I've been wondering, why is having a powerset that's too similar to a preexisting hero an issue? I mean, comics have a LOT of overlap in powersets, DCU included; turning into animals, for example, is used by Animal Man, Vixen, Traitor Totem, Changeling/Beast Boy, one of the Wonder Twins, and probably three or four other guys I'm forgetting. Forgive me for asking, but why is it an issue?

Also I like Skeleton Man.

I toss my hat into the ring! BEHOLD!

Name: ??? (Blrblbubblrubblub is what it 'speaks', at least physically. If it did truly communicate it'd be by psychic messaging. Most of the time so people assume that is the name. It may or may not be the case.)

Alias: Slimey

Age: ??? - Records, from a defunct company, indicate a project similar to this one being performed 15 years ago. News reports indicated a strange meteorite landing down 13 years ago, which scientists discovered to have a strangely wet exterior. Many cities have used several urban legends to apply how old this slime monster is.

Personality: Blrbl is a strange thing. Primarily it seems more animal like than anything, just concerned with itself and obeying the law of flight or flight and realizing object permeance. However Blrbl has been seen with more childlike behaviors, albeit the crueler aspects of children. If it consumed enough, who knows what personality might grow in the creature.

Powers:
Slime Composition: Blrbl has the uncanny ability of being really, really pesky to fully 'destroy', due to it being a slime creature. Besides that it can get through any crack or crevice, what with being a slime creature, and has the ability to crudely mimic other forms, such as a dog (if it has enough mass/is clever enough to think of it.) No organs to exploit either.
Dissolving Sludge: Blrbl has to eat somehow. It does this by holding still over something it either allowed, or had the misfortune of stepping and getting into it. It then proceeds to dissolve the substance to gain nutrients.
Growing Gloop: As Blrbl consumes more and more, it increases in size, and as such makes it grow bigger and stronger. Of course this doesn't help in its mobility.
Generating Gunk: Blrbl can create little spawns of slime, which it controls through a hive-mind and has access to everything the little spawns know. Using this decreases the size of Blrbl. If Blrbl so chooses, it can artificially create zombified minions on non-powered humanoids. These things do not maintain the hive like connection to Blrbl, though they keep a fanticism to their master slime, and do its bidding.

Weakness:
It is vulnerable to extreme differences in ambient water or temperature level, which in general makes Slimey uncomfortable as it doesn't stay as viscous as it likes.
Large forces of suction is the creature's primal fear and, if large enough to suck/move the creature a fair distance it then always inspires flight in flight v fight.
Currently it is single-minded and not capable of clever planning, it is essentially an animal with a few childlike characteristics.
Slimey is also terrible at being stealthy, due to the fact it leaves a wet trail behind it.
The creature seems to have a fondness for Frank Sinatra. No one is sure why. Playing it has been known to calm it. Stopping it when it has already been playing seems to enrage it.

Bio: A now defunct pharmaceutical company had made fortune by selling biological agents to PMCs. One Research and Development Team was devoted to developing a life-form that would be useful in those Mercenary Operations. What they came up with, was the blueprints to create a horrific slime creature. But before the project was going down the company was bankrupt due to corrupt practices from the Higher-ups. Some say one of those researchers continued the project anyway, either in a show of science, or a desperate attempt to get money. Others say the project was long-forgotten and lost. Others claim the slime creature was spawned from a strange meteorite that landed on earth, that had a strangely wet surface. Countless other legends and urban rumors have been theorized to explain exactly how this creature arrived and came into existence. What matters is that Blrblbubblrubblub exists and is rolling around on Earth.

Arc Ideas:
  • OVERGROWN: Blrbl has devoured so much it has become the giant horrific slime monster that will consume all of the country and so forth.
  • Cult of the Ooze: Someway, somehow, (probably by actively demonstrating its zombification of minions) this slime monster has inspired a cult devoted on bringing sacrifices to their idol.
  • B-Film Mania!: Sometimes it is good to have a Sci-Fi B-film Festival in your town. Not so much when there is a slime monster roaming about, exploiting the situation!
  • That Smoggy Feeling: Who would've guessed that an animalistic slime held an Oil Company in its control? Certainly the Board of Directors didn't want anyone to know about the CEO of their Company being such a slime. Though, it has finally come time for the identity to be known, because they have no one else to blame on the rampant pollution that they are responsible for.

One of the many Urban Legends about the creature Blrblbubblrubblub, I suppose. Salt is tasty stuff, Slimey doesn't mind chowing down on it. Prefers more substantial things though, like roaches and house-cats and stuff.

Slimey is a growing thing after all!

[Edited]

This rp takes place in an alternate dimension. I'm not basing this completely off of anything, so just to be on the safe side I'll say I'm basing it on the pre-52. New 52 just hasn't really struck my fancy.

@KriticalKrab I've been wondering, why is having a powerset that's too similar to a preexisting hero an issue? I suppose my line of thinking came from trying to make sure nobody was making a copy cat of an existing hero. But to be honest, there's probably a hero that exists for every super power ever. So I'll try to keep this in mind every time someone puts up an app, speaking of which.

Well first I'd like to know how fast you can melt something down like a car, please don't do this, and a human? Also, how fast could you produce your gunk, and how strong would they be?

<Snipped quote by KriticalKrab>

Sweet. Thanks man. I'll ignore that weak as his animals comment, just cause I might get riled up. Lol. I'm so weird sometimes.

If it makes you feel better he's as strong as his animals lol.

You can, but there isn't quite a resolution to the current one with the ship still in the air. Though I'm sure you can wrap up what happened with the next story.
