[OOC] Perfect Crime .Inc

Not to rain on anyone's parade or insult anyone, but we have three mid twenty women. That is no problem, I like (most) women in their mid twenties, especially ones looking like the characters described in the CS page. So good job, nice characters :) However, I don't know how realistic this is going to be. But I'm starting to get the feeling that this isn't exactly what I'm looking for. Could you clarify what you would expect that the direction of this RP is going to be, Inferno?

I've got 2 in my head. Is there an age limit for characters? I kinda want one of mine to be a protege of an older, semi-retired thief. They'd be... maybe 15 - 16? Skills would be a lot of pickpocketing, acting, and being a math/engineering prodigy (who is also dyslexic). I had another character, but it seems that there are a lot of cute ladies running around... Kijani dislikes competition. Perhaps I could also play the little protege's grandmother, who is a charming, 50+ woman. Retired thief out of Europe, now has a legitimate art dealership that is hiding a much more shady fence operation. *thinks more* I also had a dude, but he's the hacker type and that's been filled. What else is needed?

I have taken into account your thoughts when judging the characters, but a chameleon and a hacker are not so dependent on age, while gender is more of an advantage to the first role and irrelevant for the second. For the thief, after inspecting the bio I think it can still be logical, since I believe that Kei is more like a cat burglar...Still, I admit that this many women weren't within my expectations! But I am clearly going for a realistic approach! As for Caine, his bio is indeed a bit exagerrated compared to his age. Raising his age by 10 or so should be good!

I have an age limit of 18+, but, since stickman fairly judged this part of the CS, I should clear things a bit. When I set the age, I had in mind that, with common logic, one could understand which character could be realistic even by being 18, ie a hacker. But don't forget that these are criminals that have mastered their respective criminal activity. Since this RP isn't going to go too farfetched, I can't have someone go Assasin's Creed style and become a hitman at the age of 13. I was lax on the CS, because I believe that we can all understand if something is logical or not! @InuyashaBatman-like criminals are surely not fulfilling the conditions of realism I was pointing out above, that's for sure :P

In regards to my CS; Yes Kei is a modern day cat-burglar. She steals things because it's fun and she's good at it. I took inspiration from real cat-burglars for her character. From a psychological point of view, her kleptomania began as teenage rebellion against her guardian (her aunt) who, for all intents and purposes, stood for authority and conformity in society. It later grew into an obsession and she soon found out that her obsession was very profitable. Naturally, she used her skills to make a living just as someone with a talent for carpentry makes furniture to make ends meet. Her calling card of taking a selfie before a heist and leaving clues is all about making her work exciting for her. It's more a game of 'catch me if you can' rather than just putting food on the table. A calling card also acts as a symbol, proof that they are real and that the things they do will be remembered. The 'Cat-Suit' is something derived from pop culture but it also makes sense for a thief to have something like it that is flexible enough to allow a wide range of movement but also skin-tight to avoid any snags and reduce the wearers silhouette making them more difficult to spot.

Three announcements: 1.After consideration, I have decided to ask stickman to be a Co-GM and after discussing about it, he accepted. He has authorization to accept characters or point out any changes needed to make them acceptable. Everyone, a round of applause for the new Co-GM, stickman! 2. I am planning to start the first arc of the RP tommorow, so anyone who wants to join should do so today, because, to keep consistency, I can only accept characters after the end of each arc, so everyone can start off at the HQ. 3. In regard to the RP starting today,accepted characters can talk with each other if thet want to update their relationship status, since it can smoothen the RP's continuity a little. That's all, everyone :D

Thanks for the head's up! Good luck RP'ing in the future. @Rusalka, do you think that Morales and Cypher could have had contact at some point and worked together? I have the feeling the information world and hacking goes kinda hand in hand.

I think it would be nice if Kei knew Morales the info broker. A good thief stays informed, although it's more likely they never met in person so I thought they might know each other by their aliases instead. Edit: Now that I think about it some of the others might recognize her as "The Selfie Burglar" since she has posted her face all over the net.

True. It's possible that's how Morales could have received his information is through Cypher's hacking abilities, so I could see them having worked together in the past, albeit Morales could have held something over Nora like maybe exposing her identity to the feds, since she's one of the most notorious cyberterrorists out there. Again it's just a thought.

Probably both to be honest. Someone as brash as her needs reliable contacts so I doubt she would trust more than a handful of brokers.
