Hey, just chiming in here again to get a quick poll.

I'm attaching 'Relative Arena Difficulty' tags to all of the new Battlegrounds. There are a few which, due to their properties and features, would normally be considered suicidal to fight in - for both/all fighters involved. Then it occurred to me that I don't actually know how durable/tough the average Arena fighter is.

For the moment I'm just assigning difficulty on the assumption that the fighters will be baseline Humans, but it would help a little if I could get a few people to describe what level of power/strength/toughness the average arena fighter has relative to a regular Human.

Hmm, well old guild had a total of ten tiers for fighters. But they could all by simplified into basically four classes or styles.

T1 Realistic Melee.
This is the Style that is human against human. With real-life limitations. {e.g.Human capabilities of running, jumping, reaction-time, body integrity, vision, ect.}Ex: Street fighting,

T1 Unrealistic Melee.
This is the Style that is an above average human against human that are capable of using things such as Magic attack, Sorcery, Vampirism, Werewolfism. Ex: Underworld, Hellboy.

T1 Moderate Powers.
This is the Style that is commonly used now as a more realistic look towards T1 PC. The characters that have special powers, just not ones that have a power that is capable of destroying an entire planet. Powers such as elemental abilities are acceptable, but if there is a power that is capable of using all elements you must keep that power in a moderate use.Ex: Marvel, Bleach, Power Rangers, and Naruto.

T1 Powered Characters.
This Style is the most difficult of them all to learn. The complexity of the characters abilities and powers are what get them called "God Moders". The depth put into one character, with the powers, abilities, explanations of terrain, dimension, sub-abilities, character background, and traits will lead an inexperienced opponent to believe there is an invincibility about the character.

Then of course the'rs god tier characters, which is pretty self explanatory.

Step 2) Fight someone
Step 3) Repeat step 2 (and occasionally step 1) until satisfied

The actual Multiverse Continuum is generally a flip and flop thing. If you want to participate, the best way is joining the tournament.

Otherwise each fight is usually a stand alone.

I'm curious as to how to get involved in the multiverse that exists here.


Generally it revolves around linked fights that comprise a story element that carries over. You can flesh out a background multiversal element to give your character a 'home' universe. There are elements that have been consistent over the years: Rilla's Liaison character, my Dreamers, Melon's Fury who seeks to destroy the Dreamers. The Angar-Ryllan, an empire bent on dominating the multiverse and in the process enslaving the Dreamers. There are other elements that pop up now and again when the writer/owner feels like expanding or reintroducing it back into the fluid and flexible multiverse.

I would still be in the tournament if someone didn't react to getting called out like a five year old.

So a new Arena multiverse, not hosted by someone irrationally sensitive, would be preferableasier for someone like me.

What do you guys say to creating a hub for collaborative stories for the multiverse? I've been thinking of making a thread to store story events, kind of how we have the Arena Battleground thread to store battlegrounds. It would also have a fairly simple but comprehensive introduction to all the main factions of the multiverse for new players so they can jump into it more easily.

I gave up on the arena after a couple of rather disappointing runs, the multiverse included. I think the only battle I enjoyed was with you, Khan, even if it was a hopeless match.

That was a rather tight and close battle. Probably my favorite of that tournament until I got to the finals. At least you put up more of a fight than Koka. XD

I'm extremely interested in becoming involved in this multiverse. It does seem, however, that the major participants are powerful characters. I myself am hoping to start with a low character and see him grow through character interaction. The difficulty I am running into is how to grow when all of the RP is battle oriented. Am I able to fill gaps in the timeline, thus enhancing my character, or should I do this through other means?

It's your timeline, you can fill it in however you want. Combat could be considered turning points in your character's history, where-as everyday events can be worked out outside of the Arena. For example, a lot of Fury's backstory was just worked out between me and Skallagrim in OOC chat. Ultimately it's up to you.

@Dymion Personally, for myself. I don't like to keep my post exclusively Combat. Whether that be using flashbacks, or meanwhile, or just the occasional post somewhere else. Obviously, your character can't change mid-combat, cause that would typically go against the rules of the fight, but you might change something after a fight and then change your character accordingly for future fights or whatever. Or you could even set up something in particular with someone to be more story orientated. There are people willing to do that. So, you have lots of options.

This is extremely interesting. I'm already lining up a few concepts, for example, if I can emerge victorious in my current fight. Have the higher level characters ever taken interest in lower entities for their abilities?
