Story
It has been sixty years since the last Holy Grail War. The feud between the seven Masters and Servants was much bloodier and lasted longer than the previous wars. The six decades of peace was certainly a change from the bloodshed, violence, and betrayal of the battles for the Grail, but it could only last for so long.
The Holy Grail has reappeared in the city of Ukatan, Japan. Although the Masters have not been chosen by the Grail as of yet, they will eventually fight each other to the death for the device. The one who remains standing in the Holy Grail War will be granted one wish if they are deemed worthy by the Grail itself.
Of course, mages are anxious for the beginning of the war. Anyone can be an enemy; their closest friends may betray them if they are chosen by the Grail as well. The Masters that will be chosen are located within Ukatan City University, a decent school that stands to the west of Ukatan. The students do not know that they are deemed worthy by the Grail; once they are chosen, they will have to fight for survival. Friends will become enemies, tensions will rise, and already sour relationships will morph into hate and distrust.
Plot
Your character will be someone who is attending the Ukatan City University, whether they be a staff member or student. They can be a normal person or a mage-- maybe even a Master. Either way, the situation within the university has become grave; due to the fact that mages attend the school in order to pursue a field, the Holy Grail War has made it a battlefield of mind and body.
Your character can also be a Servant, fighting in the name of your newfound lord in order to help them succeed in getting the Grail. The Servant must protect their Master from their enemies and do whatever they can to ensure their survival.
Setting
Ukatan is a decently-sized city; not as big as the major cities of Japan or as small as a simple town. It is located on the eastern coast of Japan. One can smell the salty sea air from all around the city, and some students may be able to see the glint of the ocean waves from their dorm rooms. The people inhabiting Ukatan are somewhat friendly, and many have set up shop all over the city. Many of a student's needs are within walking distance from the university-- the furthest shops from the school are only a short car drive away.
Servant Classes
There are eight classes of Servants for each of the eight Masters chosen by the Holy Grail:
Saber
Saber, or Knight of the Sword, is one of the seven normal Servant classes summoned for the Holy Grail War and considered one of the Three Knight classes along with Lancer and Archer. Servants placed within this class are agile and powerful melee warriors adept at swordsmanship. The qualifying conditions require the Heroic Spirits to have legends as a knights of the sword, and it is the class that requires the highest levels of attributes in all but the Magic attribute. The Saber class has, without fail, proceeded to the final battleground in every Holy Grail War, so it is boasted as the strongest among all classes.

Servant: Miyamoto Musashi (@hatakekuro)
Archer
Archer, or Knight of the Bow, is placed in the Knight class, along with Saber and Lancer. Servants placed within this class are usually proficient with projectiles and excel in possessing powerful Noble Phantasms. More so than any other class, their true strength, and the qualifying condition to place in the class is determined not by their attributes; but the possession of powerful projectile weapons or special abilities related to projectile weapons.
Master: Louise Evangeline Kotomi (@Constantine)
Servant: Samuel Colt (@Flamelord)
Lancer
The Knight of the Lance is one of the seven normal Servant classes summoned for the Holy Grail War and considered one of the Three Knight classes along with Saber and Archer. Servants placed within this class, many of which are Heroic Spirits who were knights, are very agile, proficient in hit-and-run tactics that capitalize on range and speed, and skilled with long-range melee weapons such as spears and lances. The qualifying conditions to be placed within the class are second only to the Saber class, requiring overall excellent attributes and a high agility attribute.
Master: Akane Inukai (@TwilightDragon)
Servant: Guan Yu (@Hebigami Shiho)
Berserker
Berserker, or the Mad Warrior, is one of the seven normal Servant classes summoned for the Holy Grail War. Servants placed within this class are always Heroic Spirits who have gone berserk during battle at least once in their lifetime. This trait allows them to use the special ability Mad Enhancement, which trades their consciousness and sanity for a large power boost. This class is usually for magi who have summoned Heroic Spirits with insufficient abilities and attributes, allowing them to strengthen their Servants to make up for their lower attributes and compete against stronger opponents.
Master: Eddie Cage (@PaulHaynek)
Servant: Tomoe Gozen (@mcpop9)
Rider
The Mounted Knight is one of the seven normal Servant classes summoned for the Holy Grail War. Servants placed within this class are those known for riding mounts, living beasts or human constructs, during their lives. They generally have lower attributes compared to the Three Knight Classes, but the abilities of the mounts described in their legends compensate by granting them powerful Noble Phantasms or abilities. They have the class abilities of Magic Resistance and a high rank in Riding, allowing them to fully utilize the abilities of their mounts.
Master: David Wilhelm (@hatakekuro)
Servant: Genghis Khan (@TwilightDragon)
Caster
Caster, the magus, is one of the seven normal Servant classes summoned for the Holy Grail War. Servants placed within this class are adept in magecraft, and the only qualifying condition is the mastery of sorceries of the highest caliber compared to the specific parameter requirements of the other classes. Their class abilities are Territory Creation, altering the surrounding lands in favor of their sorcery, and Item Construction, which allows the magus to create magical items and tools. Due to not requiring any strong statistics, they generally have low combat abilities, and due to the majority of Servants having some form of Magic Resistance, this class is thought to be the weakest of all seven.
Master: Fumio Nakahara (@YandereClock)
Servant:
Assassin
One of the seven normal Servant classes summoned for the Holy Grail War; Servants of this class are skilled at operating covertly, stealthy, and silently. This class is one of the weaker classes at fighting; as its members possess low attributes due to not having glorious legends as heroes; so it instead specializes in killing Masters rather than Servants. It is an oddity compared to the more formal knight classes who believe in fair duels and chivalry in combat; they will attack using the most unfair and favorable conditions; and with these conditions, it is possible for an Assassin to match and defeat other Servants. The Assassins' special class ability is ‘‘Presence Concealment”, which allows them to remain undetected when spying or preparing to ambush their targets.
Master: Jacob Millford (@Gamerdude369)
Servant: Marie-Anne Charlotte de Corday d'Armont (@Constantine)
Beast
Command Seal
The Beast, or Primal Fury, is an extra Servant Class summoned during the Holy Grail War. Servants in this class are creatures that are more monster than man, contrasting with the other classes of the Grail War in their natural form. While most Servants are historical figures or at least human, members of the Beast class are not in their true form, instead taking the shape of the animals and monsters of legend. The Class Abilities of a Beast are Monstrous Transformation, which allows the creature to shift forms between its true and human shapes, and Primeval Strength, an ability that allows them to rank up their strength temporarily.

Rules
- All forum rules apply.

- Proper grammar and spelling, please! Everybody makes mistakes, but I don't want to read something that looks like as if a cat walked all over your keyboard.
- If you make a Servant, you must make a Master, and vice versa. You may not make a Servant for your own Master or a Master for your own Servant. This is to promote character interaction and balance.
- No canon allowed. There may be mentions of canon characters, but they may not appear or participate within the plot.
- Keep your characters balanced. Don't make them overpowered.
- Be somewhat realistic!
- If you want to kill someone's character off, PM them first.
- Keep drama to PMs.
- Be active. If you plan to drop out or leave for a while, please notify us and explain what you want us to do with your characters. Someone who does not post in IC or OCC will be PM'd by me. If you do not reply within a few days, I will remove your characters from the roleplay.
- Fill out all parts of the form. You may format the sheet however you'd like and add new headings (because of the cool introduction of the Character Tab!) but make sure to include the information I ask of you.
