BTW: If you're characters got scribbled down, how closely would you want them to resemble the given reference? Like how much artistic liberty would you allow there?

Hmm, sticking to the source material when possible, but artistic license is understandable when it can't be replicated, or would look better for a specific scene.

Like for Arteries, I'd prolly ditch the poncho. Butt Sable is pretty straight forward. Although both are still being ripped from their respective mediums and drawn in a different style. So they might come out...funky.
