First part of the Bridge collab is now posted. As neither the Navigations officer nor the Weapons officer were on the bridge at the time, it seemed wise to break it there.

Oh, and the bridge computer is now officially British.

The next Collab should involve both the Navigation officer and the Weapons officer, but it need not involve all or just those.

or you could write a short post just from the perspective of the Weapons officer. We'll be around for a while longer, so if you want a collab with Astridh, that can be arranged.

What would of happened if they dropped into a combat situation? Then they don't have full capabilities.

An alternative would be to have it that because Alexis told you to drop out the rest of the crew had not yet reached the bridge, however now alarms would be blaring so the'd likely run.

Also we have an AI, cool. I didn't know that.

Hello all, school is being a pain in the ass. I'm still here and willing to post, but I don't know what to post about. One more thing, what are we going to fight?

Well, mister navigation officer, we did just come out of hyperspace in the middle of a field of debris.

Perhaps start a collab that Marrow and the other bridge crew can add to later about what you might be doing given the situation?

For all those eager to post such as Echo and myself, instead of posting a major event prematurely (Anything that significantly moves the story such as a drop from hyperspace) have some shipboard time, maybe meet someone on the ship or chill out. Try not to move the story on without all those that it includes e.g. The dropping from hyperspace includes all of the bridge crew.

For those on the ground team we are starting the gear up collab on collab 1.

We'll keep him as an NPC and you may have him back if you chose to return when things are going well.

we discussed that bit with Forsythe, Sep. Decided they were late to the bridge, and that it only made sense to have it end at that point, so that they too could get involved. Had this been advanced, we'd have had them brought into the collab at that point instead.

The ship computer is not an AI per se. (At least that was our idea) That'd not be trusted by anyone with human-form replicator experience. But of course, the British don't have such experience, and the computer isn't a nanite composition (we think), so who knows?

An AI doesn't have to have a body, Hell I don't even know why someone decided the computer could speak, but hey ho.

Much more likely its a VI, or dumb AI, as a proper intelligent AI is probably a bit beyond the Tau'ri.
In short, it has a very large number of programmed response to simulate intelligence, but its not actually intelligent. We need no AIs in this game, its not very Stargatey.

Agreed. VI makes most sense.
It could be a research project into developing a reliable and trustworthy AI. After all, no Tau'ri will exactly trust a replicator AI, even if it has no nanite body. (hint hint, you scientist types)
