This is kind of a general question. Are we controlling the nation, or the part of the species involved in the conflict? I would like to see Omegas side with other factions since they are free-willed. Or perhaps, an Omega who isn't officially supposed to be involved mixing it up?

And, how do wildlife or the natives get developed?

Funny you should ask about the wildlife. In my opening post, I plan on introducing one nasty predator that rips apart a squad.

From my understanding, we're controlling the nation but portraying that through servicemen in that nation. It's not going to be dry posts like "so-and-so I create a massive death beam and send my fleet to x system", but rather vivid perspectives of actual combat, steered by our overarching decisions for our own individual nations.

@NightrunnerNeither, really. You control expendable characters within your military force. Your nation's control over these characters is represented in the form of (for example) orders from higher up that your characters have no control over. Think of your nation as a story device for characters within the military.

I should be doing a fairly standard example of what I mean by this in the first post, so if i'm not being too clear just hold tight, it'll all become clear soon.

Also, feel free to designate native fauna of your own accord. I feel like creative freedom should be tantamount in that area. I mean wildlife is pretty diverse on earth, so the collective effort of the players in designing such shouldn't seem too wild.

EDIT: Basically what VoiD said. This allows us to represent soldiers as real people with varied motives and perspectives on the war.

Those random extras in the movie saving private ryan.. the ones that dont quite make it off the landing craft. The latter is sounding so epic.

I updated my CS with some more descriptions. I'm about 1/3rd of the way done rewriting them, though I have them all worked out in my head already.
