Krista and Cassandra werewolf attack collab.
Krista sat there quietly for awhile it had been sometime since Riley, Ryan and the others had gone off into the woods, she started to get worried about them but she didnt want to leave the safety of the camp by herself. "Hey Cassie im going to go look for Riley and the others its been awhile since they had gone and im worried. The woods were hard to navigate through the dark. "Ill be back you guys." Krista said as she stood up and started to dust herself off and started to head off into the woods.
Cassandra looked up, frowning slightly, before rising, to following after Krista. She didn
t like the fact that it had been a while since the others had gone. While she was sure the woods were safe, what if they werent? What if they had gotten hurt? although the likely hood of all of them being clumsy and falling was unlikely, with drinking, you could never know. "Ill come too" she said, quickly following after her.
Krista looked over at Cassandra and smiled she was glad that she had her friend to come with her, and she felt much safer with company then just going it alone. "Thanks Cassie." Krista said with a soft smile as they entered the woods, it was very eerie at night by the lake without being near the camp. "I feel much safer with you near me." As they walked Krista walked slightly closer to Cassandra while still keeping an eye out for their friends.
Cassandra nodded, the woods making it seem like they were isolated from the others, glad she had come along because of that. She looked over at Krista and smiled, "That makes me feel tougher then I am. But Im glad you do" She said brightly, as if trying to push back the darkness the woods gave off. She took a quick look around, as if expecting one or more of their friends to be in a pile somewhere, just waiting for them to come and help them up. Unable to shake the feeling of isolation, Cassandra reached out, taking Kristas hand, wanting the contact.
Krista felt Cassandra gently taking her hand and looked at her and smiled softly, she leaned closer to her friend. Then she turned around as a howl came out from the distance, she knew that there were wolves in the area but there were rarely any attacks. When she heard it Krista wrapped an arm over Cassandras shoulder. "Do you think a wolf got them?" Krista asked softly.
Cassandra looked in the direction the wolves howl had come from, and bit her lip at Kristas question. "Surely if they were, we would have heard screams or something....but...wouldnt one of them have gotten away, at least? Come back to the camp?" She didnt know. Perhaps she was just spectulating. Uneasy though, she leaned down, snatching up a branch that must have fallen off a tree in bad weather, or something, holding it in her free hand as if it were a club. "Lets continue, for a few moments. If we see none of them, we go back tot he camp to get whoevers left to help search. Safety in numbers, right?"
"True I guess unless there was a pack of them.. And bigger numbers would be better." Krista said with a soft smile watching as Cassandra reached down to grab an old stick that must have fallen off. She looked up at the sky seeing the full moon out through the branches of the trees. Being this close to Cassandra made her feel even closer and looked at her for a moment and decided to change the subject. "So do you have a crush in anyone?" Krista asked.
At the sudden change in topic, Cassandra seemed to freeze a moment, before looking down, unsure of how to answer. She could be honest. And probably embarrass herself. Or she could just say no. She hesitated, as if decided between what option. "Um. Doesnt every one have a crush, of some sort?" She said, instead, "So...um. Yes" She looked ahead, hoping they would find their friends, unhurt and that is was all some foolish prank. She swallowed, hoping Krista wouldnt ask who.
Krista was slightly curious now that Cassandra had answered her question and smiled softly and nodded. "True everyone has some sort of crush on someone." Krista said taking a moment to look around for their friends and heard another howl in the distance causing her to jump slightly. "So uh who do you have a crush on?" Krista asked.
Was the howl coming closer? Cassandra glanced about, almost nervous. Her aunt had warned her several times to stay away from wolves. But what if wolves didnt stay away from you? She very nearly answered automatically as Krista asked, before catching herself "y-ah. Well. Um. I could answer that, and then feel embarrassed for the rest of my life" She said, with a soft laugh, looking over and smiling.
The last howl was indeed very close, she stared at Cassandra when she was about to say something before changing it slightly. Krista did have a crush on Cassie but she was to nervous to see if Cassie would say yes or no. "Cmon you know you can tell me Cassie we have been friends since we were little." Krista said with a soft smile.
Cassandra wasnt too sure what to say, but she wanted to keep on talking, if only to at least put the howling, and the...silence into the background. She bit her lip, and looked away, nervous as she spoke softly, slowly as if choosing all her words carefully. Really, she was afraid if she spoke, if she said anything, she would be simply opening herself to pain. Finally, though, she said, "I know. But...the thing is...how do you tell someone who asks who you like, that its them?" She didnt look to Krista, instead, pretending she was still looking for the others
It took a moment to figure out what Cassandra had asked her, and then she blushed deeply and thought for a moment how to answer the question. "Well I would tell them your feelings. Or do this.." Krista was silent for a moment before moving forward and then pulled Cassandra into a kiss.
Cassandra was shocked as Krista moved, pulling her into a kiss. it took her a moment to react, and before she even knew it, she found herself kissing Krista back, all the while wondering what it meant. If it even meant anything. Was she simply showing what she would do, or should do? She didnt know, and eventually, after what seemed like hours, but probably wasnt, she pulled back, "Um..." She didnt know what to say, "um" And now she was probably sounding like a demented owl.
Krista smiled softly as she enjoyed the kiss feeling Cassandra returning it before pulling away she was blushing softly hearing Cassandra. "I just wanted to say I have had a crush on you for awhile now.." Krista finally said rubbing the back of her head, if Cassandra did return the same feelings she would feel so much better. Then Krista turned around as she heard a very loud and low growl coming from the bushes something was stalking them now.
Cassandra seemed dumbfounded at what Krista said, and before she could reply, the loud, low growl came. Shifting, Cassandra tried to find the source of it, clumsily holding up the old branch as a weapon. Why had she left her pocket knife back at camp? Why hadnt she thought to bring any sort of weapon? Fighting off a wolf with a stick wasnt something she wanted to do. "Where is it?" She asked softly, "What do we do?" She stayed close to Krista, as she search for the wolf, wondering if she should confess all, or if that would mean they were going to die here.
"I dont know.." Krista said softly looking to her friend as she held the stick up trying to search for the wolf, she started to back up slightly, Krista reached over to grab the stick from Cassandra and looked at her. "Run back to camp ill try and hold it off.." Krista finally said then the wolf started to come out from the bushes growling loudly barin its teeth to the both of them.
"No!" it burst from her as Krista told her to run. Run, and leave her behind? it simply wasnt possible. As the Wolf emerged, Cassandra had a fleeting thought that, yes, while the wolves around these parts were beasts, they surely werent like this. Were they? "Im not leaving you!" She said, deliberately stepping closer, not away, wondering if she were just being foolish. "I couldnt stop my parents death, Ill be damned if I just run away like a coward when I could help, or try and stop the death of someone else I care about!" She looked around for anything she could use as a weapon, knowing that even if they did run, they probably wouldnt get far. But surely they could fight it off? It looked a bit battered.
Before Krista could do anything the wolf charged right towards Cassandra and tackled her to the ground and started to try and bite at the girl. Krista screamed loudly when she saw her friend getting tackled to the ground by the wolf, using the only weapon she had and started beating the wolf with the branch she was holding. Causing the wolf to become even more angry but still focused on Cassandra.
Cassandra fell to the ground when the wolf tackled her, causing her breathing to leave her with an "Oof", winding her, and for one fearful second, she thought it was all over, before her body reacted instinctively, bucking, trying to throw the wolf off her, but it was too heavy. Her hand, fisted now, rose up, to punch the wolf in the chest, the face, anywhere she could, but probably giving the wolf simply an easy place to latch on to, as she struggled to wriggle away.
The wolf growled loudly as both of the girls had hit it, when it found an open spot the wolf suddenly bit down on Cassandras arm very hard and roughly the battered wolf was gnawing on Cassandras arm. Krista doing what she thought would be the best thing tackled the wolf off of her friend, which she managed to pull it off. Then the wolf suddenly bit down on Kristas shoulder causing the girl to cry out in pain and looked towards her friend as she tried to punch the animal in the snout.
Cassandra yelped when the wolf bit her, thrashing, trying to kick, to hurt the wolf, to get it to let go, and then suddenly it was gone, only to be biting Krista. Cassandras uninjured hand ran over the ground, search for anything that she could use to damage the wolf, her hand closing over a rock.. it would do. Trying to ignore her own pain, she launched herself at the wolf, bringing the rock around to try and hurt it, or at least distract it, anything to try and send it running away.
The wolf whimpered in pain when it suddenly felt a rock hit it, after a few hits finally the wolf stopped and ran back off into the forest leaving the two girls injured in the woods. Krista laid there on the ground unable to move the pain was to much for her, she would slowly look over at her friend for a moment seeing the blood on her friends arm which caused Krista to worry. She ended up getting injured because of her she thought. "Cassie.." Was all Krista could say before her vision started to become very blurry and eventually started to close her eyes only to get a small glimpse of her friend moving closer to her.
Cassandra fell to the ground, slumping there really, as if her muscles and bones just didnt want to hold her up. "Krista..." She forced herself to move, to go over to her, probably looking like a baby learning to crawl, as she stumbled along on knees, and her injuried arm, the rock having slipped from her fingers. They needed to get back to camp, but that thought made Cassandra wince. Had the others been attacked by the same wolf? Had they fought it off? She shook those thoughts away, concern for Krista overwhelming that. Mainly because she could do something for her. Or hoped. She reached out for Krista, but everything just seemed to...shake. And then to fade, "Krista..." She fell to the ground, unable to catch herself, eyes closing.
