Considering I was thinking about using magic-based powers, myself, I'm fine with it.

It reads a bit like an arcanist telekinetic. Would that be close, Aiyva?

.I really don't know XD, It is arcanic due to the arcane-like circle created when escape-route is activated, but that is just a sub-ability to escape.

Escape is a warping power
and shield is a shielding power.

@AiyvaGuardI'm not a GM or anything but I read the op and your character. Not sure if you meant it to be this way but your shield is very weak in comparison to things that you may want to shield against. Like it would break if Wolverine or Captain America punched it. I know that it triggers another effect when broke. Not criticizing your character or anything. If you planned on the shield not being very durable then I apologize for bringing this up. I also apologize if I read your sheet wrong.

@RubyLikewise I don't mean or intend to tell anyone what to do with a character for your RP. I was just making a friendly suggestion in case they meant for it to be a moderately durable shield. No disrespect intended to anyone.

I'll consider it a telekinetic power, then, I think.

Go ahead and fill out the rest.

Really o-o I didn't know they were that powerful. My last idea of the shield is, that it was so durable it can hold two trucks and can save ones live from a 4 story fall XD. If you mind, can you you or the GM help me increase its power?

No worries! If I had a problem with a mutant power, or needed more information, I would wait until the CS was complete and then more than likely handle it 'behind the closed doors' in PMs.

My concern wasn't Logan or Cap...it was a simple rifle launched grenade. Or a machine gun nest. Or even an SMG...lot of not nice things going on in France when our characters will be there. But it was a fun thing to read, and I can't wait to see the rest of the CS.

Oh, yeah. Cap and Logan are both super human in strength. Bad dudes.

Don't worry, it's something we'll work out later in the process.

@AiyvaGuard Well they are strong compared to our real world standards. Like those two could punch our heads off, but even in the real world, your shield with that limit wouldn't be able to take a piano or car falling on it. If you want the durability of your shield to grow as the story goes on and you get stronger then I'd start it around somewhere from being able to take the total amount of 3-5 tons of damage over a period of time. If you're going to be facing things like explosives, lightning and energy based attacks then I'd increase it a bit more. But making it to where it doesn't need to be overpowered in one single blow would probably be the best option. For example: Shield can tank the total amount of 10 tons of force before breaking. Mr A punches with the force of two tons. It would take Mr. A at least 5 rapid full force punches to break the shield. That way she is able to tank damage, move or hold a line, while not having to just take one blow or only worrying about people who are stronger than her shield. I don't know what kind of enemies you're going to face, so the GMs would be better to help scale it's durability to be more rounded with the opposition. Just read one of Ruby's last posts, so yeah, it should be upped greatly from 435 lbs of force if you're going to be blocking bullets with it.

Hey, working on that Nazi Villain list right now. I have about seven to eight obscure villains right now. Should I enclude staple Nazis like Red Skull or Baron Von Strucker or keep it to characters you guys might of never heard of?

So...what weight should it be at? I mean, I want it to be a shield that can be enough to protect someone from multiple rockets, bullets, beams, etc.

You should be fine around 3-5 tons should allow you to block multiple bullets and rockets. Rockets as in RPGs not like a missile.

What's a V-2? I'm not a good judge of how much real life damage weapons do but she needs a strong shield and blocking 3-5 tons is still relatively weak compared to super powered individuals.

Later in the war the Germans started producing rockets. They were way ahead of everyone else in that field (a lot of Nazi scientists got snatched up by both sides) but their results were...eh. Double-edged swords. The Nazis had some tech that was advanced but normally it was so mired in problems with production that it didn't matter. V-1 and V-2 ("Vengeance 1 and Vengeance 2") were some of the only rockets they managed to actually use, but they were kind of a joke. Since they used people in the camps to make them, they were sabotaged a lot, and the British kept screwing with the Nazis by leaking false information and throwing them off. "Vengeance" because it was later in the war and they were just looking to try and bring down as many of the enemy as they could with them. If I remember correctly, I think more people died producing the rockets due to accidents than were actually killed by them.

I'm pretty sure that's all right, somebody feel free to call me on it if I messed something up.

@AiyvaGuard At 20 you can eat bullets and rockets all day. Do you want your shield to be able to stand up against someone like Thor or Hulk and take continuous strikes from them before breaking? Do you want it to be on par with Sue Storm? Do you want your shield to be able to stand up to Spider-Man punches?
