History/Bio: Asami wouldn't lie to you, she was born into a sort of rich family. Since a young girl she never had to struggle for much, and
being the only child you could say she was spoiled. But there was also a price for this. Her parents expected nothing but the best from her. She strived to get top grades, accel in swimming, and when she began her final year of high school she was elected Student Class President. But then she discovered the world of gaming. Her best friend, Kai, had introduced her to this world and she loved it. There, she didn't have to deal with the struggles of everyday life, the pressure to be the best she could be. She could just escape into a land of fantasy for as long as she wanted. So naturally, when Sword Art Online was slated to come out, she was quick to get the NerveGear and wait for the launch. She bought her copy, just barely missing out on being a beta tester, and on the day of launch counted down the minutes until she could jump right in.

Personality: Asami is independent, comical, intelligent, and not shy at all. She is bluntly honest, hates people who look at the glass half full all the time, and enjoys making a joke out of things. Her extensive study habits and pressure from her parents have given her a serious streak, but she much prefers laughing and having fun. She is scared of spiders, of most insects actually, and loves dancing. In all honesty, she's just an oddball. But she would put her life on the line for someone she cared about, and she stands up for herself. She hates bullies, has a moral sense of right and wrong, and doesn't believe in taking the easy way out of things. She never runs away from a fight, never backs down, and never gives up. Oh, and she hates liars.

Personality: I dislike writing personalities to be honest. Just because I don't like confining my character to the traits I write. He would react depending on the situation, not by certain traits, in my opinion. So I'm just going to leave this as To Be Roleplayed, if you guys don't mind.

History/Bio: Jackson absolutely loves video games. He started playing video games the second he was old enough to understand them. This gave him the persona of being a "nerd" to people during his school days. Jack had a few, select friends, who also shared his passion for gaming. Barnes was also a smart kid, and was actually quite good at gaming. So he'd hang with his friends, and play. At the same time, Jackson also discovered his passion for music. His little sister caught him singing in the shower once and freaked out, gushing about how good he was. He just figured that she was saying that because he was family. Little did he know that he was actually quite good at singing. Jackson really fell in love with the guitar though. It also allowed him to write songs which he also enjoyed. But I digress. Jackson was a beta tester for Sword Art Online, bro one of the first people to buy it actually. His friends bought it also, but went insane when they were told they were stuck in the game. His friends committed suicide the first day of the game. This fueled Jackson's determination to beat the game, but also gave him great sadness inside.

Personality:
Mez is a staunch leader and devoted warrior. He fights for every good cause but holds no time for trivial matters. Although he may come across to others as extremely serious, he does have a softer side. Sharing a joke within a group or attempting to console close friends is generally proof of this. He is extremely courageous but doesn't allow his pride to get in the way when it comes to fighting. He knows when to retreat and when to press the attack. When it is time to rally together, Mez's voice can usually be heard above most of the others, leading a charge towards his enemies.

Brief Real Life Background:
In the real world, Rin is a hardcore gamer. His brother, Reivard, is one of the top MMO players in Japan and his parents own a successful Computer Electronics company; NTTF Gaming, that sells high-end computer peripherals and software. They also sponsor a number of eSport tournaments across the globe and were one of the top 5 distributors of the Nerve-Gear Headsets. Rin has never wanted for any game in his life, his whole school life was dedicated to business management and gaming, so that he may eventually take over the family business. In the meantime, however, Rin dedicated himself to surpassing his brother, who had already carved his career in the gaming industry and had outgrown the need to take on the company.

With the advent of virtual technology, Rin was determined to outshine his older sibling and prove to his parents that, for once, he was the better gamer. But alas, Reivard never joined SAO. His career had taken an unexpected turn towards Hollywood, where he would star in an upcoming movie remake of the successful 1995 film, Hackers. Rin didn't yet know any of this news about his brother and dived into SAO with eagerness, ready to prove he was the best.

History/Bio: Jon Norn came from a poor family and was often bullied by those who came from rich homes. Jon felt the only way of dealing with such bullies was by being stronger and tougher than them. While he was not wrong, it took a lot of hard knocks to get to a point where his bullies were finally afraid of him. Soon all the other bullied students came to him for protection and through these bodyguard jobs he met Alder. Alder would be a repeat customer who needed Jon not just as guard but as a friend after the passing of his father. When Alder's fathers died, he became the sole heir to their families wealth and a target for some of the nastier rich brats who had once feared his father's connections. No longer afraid of the repercussions they would relentlessly tease Alder for his stout weight and height. Jon had earned the nickname Bosco when had first saved Alder from such of bullies. When Alder was young he had an imaginary friend who was big and strong and in the attack he thought somehow that Bosco had manifested himself into Jon who could protect him. Alder quickly realized what he was saying was insane but Jon took it and kept the nickname saying it 'felt like the name of an strong warrior'. While Jon was the obvious brawn of the pair, Alder was put in the position to be their brains and with Jon's help they managed to 'rehabilitate' nearly all of the brats who felt they could tease and attack whom ever they choose.

Even after their graduation Jon became Alder's personal protector and friend and did so until the day Alder brought him Sword Art Online. Alder had beta tested the game and was ready for it before Jon and on the release he insisted Jon get some practice in so that he may be better prepared for when they both would play. But Alder hadn't joined by the time of the big reveal and Jon was left alone in a game he was only in because his best friend was supposed to be there with him. His biggest fear was wondering if Alder would be safe without him and for once was he not safe without Alder.

Personality: Bosco is honest and physically overbearing. He is not always pragmatic, but is a person who lets history run its course and acts according to his impulses. While he is wild and sometimes inconsiderate to others, he is always jovial and values friendship highly. He also admires people who treat friendship with sincerity and he is compassionate and protective to those with whom he bonds.

Ivy
Ivy grew up in an empty home. Her father was always at the hospital visiting her mother who was dying very slowly of some disease she didn't really understand. Something to do with her head. They told her it wouldn't be long before she was in a coma. She looked up it up but she still didn't understand it. What was so bad about sleeping for a long time? Wouldn't that make her better? Maybe she just didn't want to know... Regardless, Ivy doesn't have any brothers or sisters to play with so she decided to ask her dad for a game to play with.

Since then, she's been playing games to bid her the time her dad spends with her mother or at work.

ShadowSparrow
A tall and mysterious woman, SS spends her days wandering around the world, looking for something to do or someone to talk to. She's often silent more often than not thought not by choice. Sparrow herself is mute, or at least that's what Ivy made up for her. And so Sparrow always speaks by writing things down.

Personality: Ivy herself is rather shy and meek, preferring to stay in the shadows. However, the personality she invented for Sparrow is much more out-going and happy-go-lucky.
