King Thor shut himself behind the castle walls, and his soldiers rode far and wide to hunt the sorcerer down. But he made walls of his own, and the Moors would never again suffer the touch of anyone. And he reveled in the sorrow that his curse had brought...

Loki sat in his throne and laughed manically as Diaval watched him.

The next day, after the warriors disappeared into the cottage with the baby in hand, Loki, who still wore his armor and scepter, stepped out of the forest and approached the cottage, creeping into an open window. He looks inside where the baby Silena is in her basket, looking down at her coldly as the baby looked back at him. "Yeesh, it's so ugly, you could almost feel sorry for it", he commented dryly in disgust as the baby smiles at him. Hoping to frighten the child, he pulls a frightening face at it, but it just continues to smile at him. "I hate you", he said with slight disappointment. "Beasty", he added coldly. Loki then heard the warriors inside the cottage and decided to not be seen by them, walking away.

The warriors were perhaps unequal to their task

Loki covered his own ears as he kept hearing the cries of the baby. "It's going to starve with those three looking after it", he said in irritation, wishing the baby would just stop.

Fandral had eventually grabbed the baby after the arguing had stopped eventually, trying to hush the baby. Yet she still cried.

Diaval watched as Loki reveled in the curse that he had brought to the child that had done nothing to Loki.

Later he had transformed into his original form, the raven and goes off to the old cottage where the baby now lived. Seeing that she was still crying, Diaval brought something to feed her. letting her feed off of the plant, he then rocked the baby till she falls asleep. But then flies away when she is fast asleep.

That same night Loki was tired. After having reveled in the curse he had made to get back at Thor, his traitorous friend and ex lover, he was wondering the Moors aimlessly. He had no particular direction at this point except for getting some rest. His mind distracted by the thoughts of his deceased mother haunted him till he had shooed them away, wanting to move on.

But what Loki hadn't noticed was that he could never move on. Never move on with the fact that Maleficent, his mother was no longer around, killed to complete a man's greed. And never move on because of the fact that Thor, who he thought loved him, betrayed him, showing his true colors and how he felt for him. Tearing at his heart, a gold heart had been turned to stone and would never know love again. What he most likely never understand is that he could never move on now having put a life that was never apart of this rage that he had for Thor. But now paid the price for Thor's actions.

Wondering still, the King of the Moors had stopped in his tracks, having come out of his thoughts to see where he was. The frozen blue pool that shined night and day without fail. Looking at the pool, Loki noticed what was inside the frozen pool. The body of his deceased mother, Maleficent. Loki couldn't hold back the tears that he felt soon run down his cheeks. Falling to his knees, using the scepter to hold onto like he was to fall, Loki held his head as he silently cried. This silence had lasted a few minutes before Loki finally managed to speak. "M-Mother....I feel helpless...Thor betrayed us....killed you out of greed....b-became king....betrayed..." Loki tried to calm down and little to vent his thoughts to his mother who he hoped would somehow comfort him like she had when he was sad, "..betrayed the love I had for him...I need help. I dont know what to do, I could not find your wings, and now I doubt I can protect the Moors without your guidance..."

The water began to flow into a gold color until a female humming was heard. It was a lullaby that Maleficent sung when he was scared. It was until hair showed at the surface along with a female face. The form rises up even more until her whole body was standing on the water surface. She had no clothes on but had gold plates on her breasts as well as her lower body. Her brown hair was tightly braided. She looked like a walked gold statue but the face looked exactly like Maleficent's as if she was alive again. Her skin was tanned instead of pale.

Opening wide were Loki's emerald orbs, hearing the lullaby that that Maleficent would always sing to him. Lifting his head, the raven haired young man looked up to see this womanly figure that looked almost like his mother. Instead of pale, there was tan skin, instead of clothes were gold plates that covered her. Instead of the long loose hair, there was a tight braid. One he remembered doing one time when he wanted to play with her hair after some fairies had taught him how. Loki didn't know if he was imagining this or if it was actually real. His heart fluttered no matter if it was stone. There was still a piece of gold in his heart that would always welcome the sight of her again. Therefore the armor he had on his person fade like magic. Tear stained face now looked at her as if she had only been away from days and still alive. "M-Mother?" He had no idea if he could touch her or the illusion that he thought she was.

The spirit of Maleficent walked on the surface of the water until she reached the land where Loki was on. "Don't be afraid, my son. All will become clear", her soft voice said to him as she put a finger to her lips. "Shhh...", she said to him gently before her hand was against his cold cheek. "It's me", she said as she gently tilted his head up to face her.

Managing a smile in the months that he never had. Now when she touched his cheek as he still felt sad, his emerald eyes watered still as he gazed up to see his mother's face. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry for what happen to you! I wish I was there to stop it." He wanted to hug his mother so much, feeling like the child he was before he had lost her. He knew a mother's love would carry on, a son's love for his mother would also carry on. No matter how old he was. Loki tried to hug her, seek her comfort in the best way they knew.

"You are the only child that can see and hear me", her voice echoed to him. "My death is tragic, yes. But you...must not give up. My spirit will be with you on this journey", she told him before her golden-tanned arms caught him in a comforting embrace. "Shh...", her fingers cupped his face as her thumbs wiped his tears. "Such a curse is your way of retaliation. Don't become like them. Be you. A ruler. A king. My son", she whispered to him. "If such true love existed, ask yourself, who is your one true love?"

Loki sniffled, and tried to calm down while being embraced. This helped him, knowing he was never truly alone now that he knew she was still here, one sense or another. Managing to smiling again as she had wiped his tears, he listened to her closely. thinking on this a moment, Loki looked into his mother's eyes. "You are." He had told her.

"Yes", she responded with a small smile. "There is true love for the princess somewhere. You just have to find it, my son", she told him as she wiped another tear from his face with a finger.

Loki began to cheer up a little, feeling a sense of direction as to what he could do. "I will mother. I will help the child find true love." The young man told her, shedding no more tears for he was feeling a bit better that he had her guidance. "Thank you mother."

"I'll always be with you", she whispered as she stroked his hair gently before she began to fade away in golden wisps. It flew around Loki before dissapearing back into the water.

Loki had almost forgotten what it was like when Maleficent had stroked his hair like that. The King of the Moors though felt a bit sad that he was alone once again, he then had stood on his own two feet, looking at the pool before him. "I will make you proud." Taking hold of his scepter, Loki walked to his hometree on the cliff. Laying down, the raven haired young man curled up, not feeling as alone anymore, but would help him shield himself from the cool night. He slept soundly than he had in months.

The next day, the Warriors Three played a game until they begin blaming each other for water dripping from the ceiling. But neither of them noticed the trickster was outside the cottage, using his magic to play a trick on the three warriors. He smiles to himself and looks at Diaval, who was watching his master disapprovingly, while in human form. "Oh, come on, that's funny", Loki said to Diaval with a mischievous smile and chuckle.

As the days went on, Thor darkened, further consumed by paranoia and vengeance

"Burn it all down!", said the general as they prepared to burn down the wall of thorns. "Yes, sir! Flame! Release!", they said before the fireballs are launched into the thorn-covered trees, which begin to burn and the soldiers all cheer in victory. The victory fell short as the thorns suddenly began to grow larger before it began to fall on its offenders, crushing the launching devices. One managed to grab a soldier, and threw him far away. Loki made a wicked smirk as he uses his magic and the soldiers run off in fear, back at the palace.

"You failed me", Thor said coldly at his soldiers. "The wall, it cannot be burned. It is indestructible", the chief told him. Thor walked over to him and suddenly strikes him in the face. "Nothing is indestructible! Not the wall, the son of Maleficent, nor even his curse!", he yelled at them in utter rage before smashing his hammer, Mjolnir, on the table nearby, making a loud thud. It wasn't enough to break it, unfortunately, and it sat there on its flat surface. Thinking for a moment, in order for his anger to cease, he gazed back at his hammer, and realizes something: heated iron burns Faeries. "Bring me the iron workers", he told them with a smirk.

Loki watches in the distance as the three warriors enjoy a picnic in the open valley, while eating some berries he got from the bushes. Making a devious glare, he decides to play a trick on them. Using his sorcery, he flicked his fingers, causing some food to launch at Fandral.

Silena grew as the years went on, about now the age of 2, she had chasing a pretty butterfly while in a field of flowers. While Loki was messing with the three warriors, Diaval who was his raven self watched as the little toddler was going toward a cliff. He squawked as his eyes were keen on the girl. He was worried that the girl might fall off without the three warriors knowledge since the magic user was the one distracting them.

Fandral who had food thrown at him, thought it was Volstagg, threw food at him. Hogun was enjoying his meal without noticing much but the two other warriors bickering and throwing food at one another was eventually thrown into the fry. So when he was tagged, he was still for a moment before Hogun was now throwing food at Volsttag for starting it.

Loki was so busy distracting the Warriors Three, he couldn't help but notice that the young Silena was heading towards the edge of a cliff. "Oh, look", he mused in slight bewilderment. "The little beast is about to fall off the cliff", he said as he coldly watched the princess go over to the edge. He totally ignored Diaval's squawking as he tried to get the King's attention to do something. But Loki didn't even flinch as he watched her go. A scream was heard, but using his magic, some tree branches moved to catch her, and put her back on the ground where the three Warriors were. Looking at Diaval as he felt eyes on him. "What?", he asked.

Diaval covered his eyes with a wing as he looked away, not wanting to watch anymore on the little babies demise. However having to have heard a giggle and some laughter, Diaval looked to his master with a disapproving look but noticed that Loki actually might like the little girl.

At the age of 5 Silena had been playing outside while her guardians had been fussing around again. She noticed someone while she had been playing in the woods. So she went to go see who it was. Walking on toward Loki, Diaval noticed the little girl Loki had come to call Beast or Beasty. Watching from a branch in his human form. He watched as wondered how this was going to turn out. The young girl smiled as stood behind the King of the Moors. "Hi!" She greeted cheerfully.

Loki hummed to himself as he tried to heal a tree, but ended up freezing the spot instead. A small familiar childlike voice was heard behind him from where he stood. He widened his eyes slowly with bewilderment as he turned his gaze slowly to the young girl, who was obviously a few feet smaller than his standing position. He turned to fully face the young child. It just smiled. But he was not pleased. He just wanted privacy. "Go away", he told the young girl, slightly uncomfortable with her presence. It only made her come closer with a step. "Go. Go away", he tried again by shooing it, but that was until she wrapped her arms around his lower waist as if it was hugging. On the inside, he was starting to panic. "I don't like children", he tried again, but his threats were no use to the small creature. He did feel a bit uneasy with her touching him.

Diaval was simply amused by the little girl that hugged him. It actually tickled him to see this sight before him. Silena continued to hug the King of the Moors till she decided to let go. After she then backed up and lifted her arms. "Up, up!" She demanded, hopping a little as she really wanted to be picked up.

Loki sighed in annoyance before he picked her up under her arms and brought her to eye level with his own. He was unsure of how to hold a child and he certainly didn't have the feeling to actually feel any love from her. He felt her grip the horns of his helmet and she gently tugged his armor as well as his cape. Loki had his face in slight disgust as he tried to keep his face at a distance from her before he eventually put down the child. "Go along. Go go go", he told her in a childish voice.

When Silena was put down after having messed with his armor and cape, she giggled as she walked away. "bye bye!" Diaval had watched in amusement, watching as the little girl had messed his Loki's attire and Loki giving into the girl's demands. He thought it was quite cute, even if it was Loki being slightly childish. The raven man felt satisfied that he had some amusement from Loki being uncomfortable around the girl.
