New York City,USA

The 2nd main base of the UN Vanguard station called the "Irondome" is in New York City. As the most populous city on the eastern seaboard and an important trading route with other countries the UN decided that this would be a place with more than two Vanguard protecting it and also serves training rookies in how to fight Kaiju. The Tritons always send a Kaiju to the Eastern sea board around once a week and is perfect for rookies graduating to full on pilots. This new patch of pilots are from new countries who recently took a dabble in the Vanguard program and send them here. Right now most are in the Irondomes social areas such as the living room and the cafeteria almost set up as a school since many of the pilots are young. However their last test is coming up closer then once thought......

Bermuda Triangle(Triton capital)

(Translated from Triton) "Sir,our spies have found out that the human base at...York has a new batch of rookies from different human countries." A deep blue Triton with armor on says and bows to a Triton on a beautiful golden throne in a sadly dimmed room over looking the underwater city.

"More...how many of them do we need to kill before they realize no matter what they do nothing will help them!" The Triton on the throne signs and then proceeds,"Send them a welcoming gift of three of our beast, Gragin, General of the Eastern Seas!"

"Yes sir." The Gragin says getting up from bowing and swimming away.

"And then she said, 'You aren't allowed to drink while on duty'. I shrugged and then dumped the bottle of scotch in the disposal."
The three men around the young woman looked surprised. "You? Dumping a good bottle of scotch? Doesn't sound like it."
"I went back for it after she left."
The men laughed, and then watched as she downed another few gulps of a bottle of scotch. Alex Anderson was now in the 'living room', talking to a trio of others that were there to relax. The scotch had originally not been allowed, however, since she was now off duty, she was allowed to drink it. Unfortunately, another person was there, someone she hated. She didn't know his name, however he always seemed to try and take her on. "Oh, no, here he comes."

"Hey, Alex, you were supposed to get rid of that, right, twit?" Alex shook her head at the man. "Lance, I'm off duty. I can do whatever I want, including telling you to sod off." She got onto her feet, looking the man in his eyes. "I'm not gonna do that for you, Scot," He says. "Now, give me the scotch." He reaches for the bottle in Alex's hand, and his hand is simply swatted out of the way with her own hand. She puts down the scotch as Lance looked at his hand. "You should not have done that," Lance growls. Alex knew that he didn't like to look weak. She quickly rewards his sudden punch with a parry and an open palmed strike to the chest. Alex was much better trained than the engineer, and she showed it right there, with the trio that originally had been talking to Alex now clapping. Alex sidesteps to avoid a second punch, and then dives on him, knocking him over, before she climbs to her feet. She didn't want to beat him up, as that would get her into another 'detention' with an officer. She left the now unconscious Lance on the ground and sat back down. "Hey, who drank out of my bottle?" A pair of the trio point to one of them, and the man suddenly goes red. Alex laughs, gives him a wink, and then continues to drink.

Akira walked through the IronDrome looking around at all of the Vanguards and personnel and chuckling to him self as two others got into a small confrontation. He walked over to the small group and bowed politely.

"Your form was quite excellent." he said to the woman now holding a bottle of scotch. "May I ask where you trained?" he added his curiosity getting the better of him.
He wanted to calm himself before he got to worked up.

Sam was in his cabin. He was doing some push-ups, just for the sake of keeping fit in such a crowded place. Luckily for him, he didn't need to train much longer. "Sam Spark, report to hangar three for Vanguard testing." The intercom said. Sam smiled as he got up from the floor. A new Vanguard going live was always a cool thing to see, but this time, it was his Vanguard. He walked out of his room, and headed for hangar three. Once there, he watched as the Alpha Marksman faced the door of the hangar. He knew it for sure, this Vanguard would be the new main defense of humanity. He started making his way for the head.

Alex hears someone that did not belong to her new trio of 'friends', and she turns to face the newcomer. In reply to the man's comment, she replies, "Thank you. I trained in... Life. You do not want to know where I have come from." Alex replies, crossing her arms. "Though, military training did help quite a bit, but I was already tough." She says, bowing her head slightly before she takes a swig of her bottle.

Ledger was the Drill Sergeant at the Irondome and was reasbonsible for the training of the candidates and to him had done a damn good job. So he awarded himself by sleeping extra late and had just barely gotten up. Ledger went slowly down to the living area of the dome passing past soilders trained and chating with a few of them. As he made finally entered the room he coughed and then proceeded," Everyone off your asses we got training to do!" He yelled to everyone in the room.

Charlestown,Maryland

The people of this small coastal town were having another day with no reported attack of a Kaiju attack in Maryland since the beginning of the war when one tried to attacked Washington D.C. However that changed as locals saw a giant ripple on the water and without warning or time to react the horror came crashing into this quiet town. A category one Kaiju called "Chesapeake Crusher" had made landfall. The town was crushed with ease and it moved upward towards Newark, New Jersey destroying anything resembling human settlement. The small national guard garrison called New York for help but was shortly cut off from the monster. However news spreads rather fast in this technological world and its just a matter of minutes before Irondome hears of it.

Sam got into the head of the Alpha Marksman, also known as the cockpit of the giant robot. He got into his suit, that would register all the movements he would make and use those to move the robot. The suit was attached to the head itself, so any shocks wouldn't just bring him out of balance and make the whole robot fall down. The platform the robot was standing on moved it towards the doors, which slowly opened and showed the Atlantic Ocean. Here we go... Sam thought. Sam made his first step forward. With a big splash, the Alpha Marksman stepped into the water. Just like the simulations... He stepped his other foot next to his first, and started stretching his arms. "So how does he move?" Sam heard through the intercom. "Pretty good, except for the fact that the right arm has a delay of a second or so." "Give me a second..." Sam heard some typing through the intercom. "Okay, try again now." Sam tried stretching his right arm. Simultaniously, the robot stretched it's arm as well. "Much better, thanks a lot, guys!" Sam responded.

(Sorry anybody who didn't post PM me if you want to know what happened or just read it. I just don't want to get hanged up on the beginning.)

Just as Ledger spoke a solider came running in behind him. "Sir...There is a Kaiju attack in Maryland high command recommends to bring the recruits." The trooper says as fast as he can and runs off to tell more about the attack. Ledger looks over at the recruits for a minute and grins. "Well I guess this is one way of graduating. Everyone in your Vanguard we are off!" He says walking to the hangar.

The American Spirit, his Vanguard, was waiting fully loaded and clean from a few weeks of inactivity in the hangar. "Damn I miss you." He murmurs to himself getting closer to the behemoth towering over him.

As soon as the warning came through for the attack on Maryland, Darryl "Dazza" Harris had slammed down his godawful beer and was up and running. He'd been reassigned to the Irondome from Shark Island Base four months ago, after the successful deployments of Armored Kelly and Five Eighth to the Australian eastern coasts. Experienced pilots were always needed in a learning environment, and while Dazza's role wasn't necessarily to provide training he was essential as a standby for when things got too hairy for the rookies.

He sprinted through the corridors of the Irondome and into the locker room, where he stripped down and pulled on the special suit needed to pilot Blitz Juggernaut. Dazza had pushed hard for an interface that didn't require the suit but the very few cooler heads from his homeland had prevailed. Still, he was growing fond of it, feeling it fitted him just as well as one of his many flannos. The nice little Australian flag painted over the breast inspired a little bit of patriotic fervor every time he saw it.

Finally, he put on his helmet with the large clear visor and made his way to the hangar at a brisk run. Techs were standing by, ready to assist him in getting into the control pod. The pod was a funny thing that was inserted into the center of the Vanguard, full of machinery that connected to the suit and essentially translated every movement he made to that of Blitz Juggernaut. It was certainly better than the old two-sticks-and-pedals design he had originally used!

The techs got him into the pod with minimal hassle. It was a well practiced drill, now, much helped by many of his techs being from the first Blitz Juggernaut crew from Australia. The pod was sealed, and now the fun part began. The inside of the pod was illuminated with a dull glow, but Dazza couldn't see it. The viewport on his helmet had gone opaque. Were he a claustrophobic man, now would be the time to panic. But Dazza was not. Instead, frozen in place, blinded to the outside world, he chuckled a bit. He always looked forward to what came next.

He felt the pod being moved. The hydraulics surrounding it were placing it inside Blitz Juggernaut right now. There were a few clunking sounds, ones that were music to Dazza's ears. Three clunks. Pause. Two. The sound of an engine whirring up. He'd memorized them. Another clunk. The engine was getting louder.

Then his helmet burst into life.

The display on the inside of Dazza's helmet abruptly showed a new sight, one of him looking directly towards men working in a control room. His ears heard a quiet chime and the engine sound lessened, overtaken by input from his radio and auditory sensors. The elegant machinery holding his body in place dragged him into an upright position, then eased off the pressure. He could move again.

"Lieutenant Harris, commence system check," was the radio buzz in his ear.

"Leftenant Harris, commencin' system check," Dazza responded.

He moved his head left, right, up and down. As he did so, his view changed to take in the world around him. He was standing in a cavernous hangar, far too large for ordinary humans. He saw figures moving along walkways, inside the control room, but not around the ground. He raised his left and right hands, and observed the blue with red trim mechanical arms enter his field of vision. So far so good. Just for kicks, he wiggled his fingers and witnessed the Vanguard match his movements. Then, for even further kicks, he extended both his middle fingers and noted with a chuckle that his Vanguard did also.

"Lieutenant Harris, please do not deviate from the check procedure," was the immediate buzz in his ears.

"Just testin', mate. Don't get ya knickers in a twist," Dazza jibed back.

The system check went for a few more minutes as Dazza got used to being inside, no, sorry, BEING Blitz Juggernaut. It was always a bit alien for the first couple of minutes, but you soon got used to it.

"System check complete. Good hunting, Blitz Juggernaut."

Dazza grinned, the act completely invisible under his helmet. "I'll bring back a big fish dinner for ya, mate," he responded. As though the giant mech were human, he turned and started walking towards the huge hangar doors. At the same time, with a quick voice command he dialed in the comm for the rookie trainer.

"Ledger, y'there?" he commed to the man. "Deployin' now. I'll be on standby in case you and y'rooks need me. Good huntin', mate."

Newark,Delaware

After easily making its way to the Delaware border from Maryland the Kaiju finally met some resistance. Maryland and Delaware national guardsmen were positioned in the city hoping to stop the Chesapeake Crusher from devastating Wilmington, the largest city in the tiny state. As the beast reached the outskirts of Newark missiles, tank shells, and a few fighter jets started to hit it with everything they had. When the smoke cleared it still was alive and now pissed off going on a rampage crushing homes and any unlucky tanks. However the force still holds but for how long is the true question.

Irondome

Ledger was lifted via crane up to his Vanguards chest where the cockpit waited. It opened and gush of air surrounded him for a second and disappeared. His Vanguard was one of the first made and because of it had very simple controls. Two joysticks and pedals for movement while buttons scattered across the cockpit were for different situations or weapon choices. As he started the machine with a few button flicks the machine roared to life its eyes glowing dark orange. The American Spirit was loud almost too loud but Ledger loved it he liked to know the machine was active and proceeding as normal.

After a few minutes of limb testing the noise finally calmed down to a quiet murmur and Ledger was ready to go. Another pilot had already beaten him to be first in line it was the new Australian pilot and he said something to Ledger.

"We will be fine Harris. Go out there and give it some hell! I have to wait for the rest of my crew to get here so it might be awhile." He said to the man and then proceeded to grabs a cigarette from his pocket and start smoking while he waited for the others.

Bermuda Triangle(Triton capital)

(Translated) "The humans are taking the bait." Gragin,General of the Eastern Sea said to his leader.

"Good..." The Leader said still on his Throne looking over the underwater paradise that lay before him.

"Should he deploy the rest of our Megabeast?" Gragin said in his mind hoping for yes.

"You know Gragin if we lose this many Megabeast its on your head right?" The leader says

"It won't this is an important port for humans are spies have shown only two of those Mechs protect it. Gragin pleads.

"First deal with the humans at what do they call it,ah yes the Irondome. Make sure they can't deploy when we attack."

" YES Sir!! We will send a surprise over their." Gragin said Boeing and leaving he knew that this plan could break the humans and it was called Operation Spiral.

Akira stood immediately as alarms started blaring through the Irondrome and ran to see what was going on and before he could reach the chief turned and ran for the hangars jumping into his gear and running toward his Vanguard. using the crane to get into the head where the cockpit resided. Akira's vanguard was early Generation two so it still used a cockpit with the joysticks flips and switches. he climbed in and was greeted by the chime and near blacking out of his visor before and darkening of the cockpit before everything seemingly erupted into life as his vanguard started up and began is lift ride to stand behind the Chief.

"Recruit Akira Yamanaka reporting sir." he said his adrenaline getting the best of him and his wilder side coming out. A soft beep in his ear came before a faceless voice came over the comm system in his Vanguard.
"Yamanaka hows the beast running for ya?" the man said.
"Tenjin is running beautifully, better than ever." Akira said with a smile before taking a deep breath and grinning ready to take on anything that came his way.

Alex had turned and immediately started to walk to Hawk's location. As she geared up, an alarm blared, and she cursed as she got into her gear at a faster rate. She ran full pelt to her Vanguard, boarding it quickly and getting her Vanguard calibrated. "Recruit Anderson, reporting status; requesting calibration," Alex says, tapping on buttons and turning on her Vanguard with the turn of rotating handle, and a push, as well as a turn in the opposite direction. As she did this, she got a response over the radio, and began to calibrate.

Within a few minutes, Hawk was calibrated. "Command, Anderson. System status; Green across the board. Moving to position." Alex began to move her Vanguard behind Ledger's, and opened COMs with him. "Ledger, Anderson. Systems green across the board. Hawk ready."

" Looks like we are ready lets get a move on!" Ledger said to his group and his the Hangar doors opened with a load crunching noise. " The Helicarriers are ready to take you to Wilmington,Delaware....estimated time is 40 minutes!" Robert Hassen, leader of the Irondome Vanguard maintenance crew said to them.

The American Spirit made its way out of the hangar into the shallow light blue bay that lay below. His suit crashed into the water and then took a few steps away from the dome. He Vanguard stopped once he was a good enough distance from the hangar and from above two massive Helicarriers shaped like a disc with a huge spinning blade on top measuring 10m. The two carriers once in positioned dropped 2 ropes with a metal hook into Vanguards shoulders. Then 5 men climbed down the ropes and into the behemoths shoulders where two holes opposite of each other waited. The crew quickly pushed the hooks into the vanguards fastened them and then cup made the daunting task of climbing back up again.

"You are good Commander Ledger. Are you ready for lift off?" A pilot said to him.

"I am as ready as I'll ever be." He chimed back and just like that his Vanguard was lifted from the ground and made its way to Delaware."Meet you all their!" He said into the comm channel as his mech left Irondome.

While the crew of the Irondome rared to sortie, rushing to their machines and storming out to battle the newly risen threat, cooler heads prevailed elsewhere. Representatives of Apex Paradigm, the corporate group that backed the Supranational Vanguard Project, discussed the current situation and whether their asset should be deployed. A single creature, small one at that, with at least three units deploying to crush it. It was a no-brainer, the Brave Magnus would remain on standby. There was nothing to gain from being part of a group sent to squash a bug, better to be at 100% capacity for a more serious assignment. The decision was broadcast and the meeting adjourned.

Back in the Irondome the Magnus' private crew received their orders from top to bottom. The unit was not to deploy. Repeat, the Brave was not to be deployed, the dome's regular corps would suffice for the current threat level. The machine was to undergo further checks in order to ensure optimal capacity in the next engagement. Lying on his bed, Leo groaned and rolled around, terribly bored and aware that his crew would probably be the only one that didn't mobilize, but understood that his superiors had the right idea. Being part of a 6 on 1 was just not heroic, they'd look really bad if they didn't give the kaiju a sporting chance. Still, maybe he should go get ready. Just in case.

The cables holding Blitz Juggernaut detached and the relatively small Vanguard hit the ground two kilometres from where the Kaiju was rampaging. Thank goodness for getting out here early! The carry choppers turned around, heading back to Irondome. Now it was just the ragin' Australian, staring down the barrel of a giant monster going to town on Newark.

Dazza used this time to scan the scene. Wilmington was getting wrecked. Local boys were having a tough time of it, which was to be expected. Americans had a tough time with anything. But the Kaiju itself was tiny. Two thirds of its body was just a single giant claw. Even the often-drunk Australian knew that it was shockingly bad biology for anything resembling combat. With a claw that long, there's a massive blind spot right in front of its face. Absa-bloody-lutely perfect, Dazza thought!

He primed the rocket boosters on the mech and readied the skates. This would be pitifully easy. But before he engaged, he decided it would be a smart idea to comm back to base.

"Base, Blitz Juggernaut," Dazza said said. "We got one tiny, off balance little bugger that a non-retarded National Guard can handle in their sleep. Recommend y'get the rest of the boys t'stand down. This'll be a waste of time for 'em. I'm engaging."

And with that, the rocket boosters fired, the skates engaged, and Blitz Juggernaut went from a standing stop to bolting full tilt at the crablike Kaiju.

"WE'RE GETTIN' CRAB F'DINNA, MATES!"

50 miles from Delaware coastline

A Triton warship at the bottom of the ocean floor watches as the Vanguard is about to attack the Kaiju. " Sir,our cameras on beast have shown a Vanguard is about to attack it....and our spies at that human base have shown many more have left." A Triton sailor says to the captain of the ship called the Clear Mind.

"Why have they left the base with little protection?" The captain says worryingly.

"Reports indicate its a training ground for humans and have left to train...we assume Captain Finn." The warrior says.

" I don't know may-" The captain was cut short by the warrior. "If I may interject we have been to careful for long enough! We have been down here for two months with those dirty Megabeasts to feed in the hanger and its tiring!...Sir."

The captain has an almost shocked look on his slimy face but that soon turns into anger. " How dare you Warrior Ju'k interrupt me! I am the leader of this ship who hasn't given away our position and is waiting for the right time to attack but you criticize me!" He yells.

"But it is the perfect time,Captain." The warrior speaks back.

"You know what Ju'k.." The captain says in a normal voice again. "Lets see if your right. You can take two of our beasts with you and lead an attack but if you do not bring back a Vanguard destroyed or the base I am feeding you to them." He says calmly.

Newark,Delaware

The beast roared at the site of the Vanguard even if it was outmatched by it the Crusher still had a trick. It rushed the Vanguard with its giant claw which was easily able to crush metal if it had a chance.

Hearing the announcement Akira chuckled as his Vanguard was lifted up shortly after Ledger's. As they moved through the air he hopped on the comunications line between Vanguards.
"So since the Auzzy apparently has this covered has this just become another training mission or are we all legitimately mobilizing still?" he said still laughing to himself.
"I mean come on the guy clearly has this covered." he teased his inner hot shot coming out in full force.

A rush! Oh happy days! Dazza loved it when they rushed him. Especially when they were so obviously telegraphing their actions!

Rule one of brawling. Get underneath your opponent's guard.

Dazza fired the rocket boosters once again. Blitz Juggernaut slewed towards the side of the crab without the claw, changing his angle of attack and hopefully throwing off the crab. Unlike the giant enemy crab, Blitz Juggernaut had four capable limbs. Now was the time to use them. With the two combatants closing at breakneck speed, he readied his forearm to block the claw at the "wrist" joint and drew back his other fist.

When the battle was joined (which would be in a couple of seconds), he'd be underneath the giant claw and deflecting it while the elbow thruster on his free arm activated and sent his fist flying towards giant enemy crab's face. With the speed at which they were moving, this would not only be devastating, but child's play.

The crab had no idea of what the pilot was doing but it did instead of charging stop mid run and stike out at the Blitz with its giant claw hoping to crush something on the Vanguard.

10 miles from New York Coast

J'uk the Triton warrior was sen alone in an attack sub to lead the assault on Irondome with two Brawlers. The sub was equipped with a supersonic wave not audible to human ears but was extremely loud and enchanting with the creatures following without a second thought. As J'uk neared the dome the radar must have picked them up so the warrior turned of the wave and with that the creatures were back to normal and wanted destruction. With few Vanguards guarding the base this could be a massacre of the Dome.

Deflected! Exactly as Dazza had planned, he ducked underneath the claw and pushed it away with Blitz Juggernaut's forearm. He loved it when a plan came together. One rocket skate later, and he was too far in under the crab's guard for it to be a threat.

"GONNA TAKE MORE THAN THAT, SUNSHINE!" he roared, as he drew Blitz Juggernaut's fist back and, with a burst of rocket power, fired it down and forward towards the crab's face. He had the kaiju dead to rights. Barring some sort of miracle there was no way it was escaping this.
