Eh, I'm not fond of the idea of doing half the RP over PMs honestly.

Just to clear up my thought, I was thinking that we would do the public part being normal interaction and such, which would include the wondering about who has who, friends hanging out, normal classwork, etc.

However, the email portion (the class assignment) being done via PMing like this:

Person 1 ---PM's---> Cynder ---Forwards, omitting names---> Person 2 ---PM's---> Cynder ---Forwards, omitting names---> Person 1

Yeah, I figured not a lot of people would be. While it would be an interesting idea, it does seem way too complex and I'd much rather have all of the RP documented. So, I'm going to have to turn down your idea now that I read Rin and Rainbow's posts, sorry, Chaotix.

Hey, I don't mind. Like I said, I wasn't too sure how it'd work out. However, the idea of using a fake name and such sounds pretty good too.

I think that's part of the mechanics of this RP. Drama and stuff. :^) It shouldn't matter too much if your partner wishes to have a platonic/romantic relationship with your character. After all, you always have the choice to decline or find a certain someone's shoulder to cry on.

Excellent question, the answer is yes. I'd prefer we have a lot of variety between partners whether it'd be class, gender or overall background. I think it'll really help flesh out our characters and give them a personal feel.

As for the title... Keys and Locks .... Keys for Locks ... Keys keys keys....Locks locks...locks....penpals....

Our Keys or something? something with keys and locks! Penpal just screams key/lock something theme ? Wow, coming up with a suitable name is hard. :^)

As for a name, I still don't have any ideas but something about lock and key does sound interesting. Though, the only thing I can think of is more along the lines of Words Are Power...

I personally wouldn't care if my character was paired in a platonic or a romantic relationship. Just thought the question would pop up sooner or later.

Maybe it doesn't need a fancy name. Maybe, just maybe, we could just use the literal name of the assignment as the title: ENG 101 Final Project.

Naturally, the name of the course would be whatever the GM decides, and this could be the base for several other ideas like adding the name of the school before it, etc.

I like the idea of Anonymous (XXX) being the title of the RP, but maybe not hearts as that'd imply heavy romance-centered. However, Words of Anonymity might work out as a good all-around title. In addition, I still like the idea a coastal town, and there's no rule that says a coastal place can't be a 'first-name' town.
