Maria, Mizuki, Andromeda, Scillia, Grimm, Annie, Axel, Ryuu, Rain, Caelus, and NK's villains can all use Nox.

Why can Rain use it? :S She isn't cursed, is of a generally neutral standing and manipulates light more than darkness. Turning into a werewolf isn't a curse and when she changes she doesn't turn evil per say, she just falls into a feral state of mind > "In some cases, the user's mind descends so far into the feral rage that, mentally, they are little more than animals." Sorry should have explained it better, check out this wiki > Feral Mind. Plus she's a descendent of a celestial being ^^ Her powers are (hopefully) going to develop towards that.

All of that aside, she'd be more interested in a water sword if there was one <.<

Crash on the other hand would fit in with the Nox requirements, although he's a 'good' guy so to speak he's possessed/cursed by the dark spirit of the Wendigo. A carnivorous demonic spirit.

Right, Crash too.

I didn't say "Evil" I said "Dark"

Despite being neither good nor evil nor a curse, becoming a werewolf is a dark power, much like Mizuki's moon based powers. For Nox, that's what counts. "Good and Evil" is not the same as "Light and Dark".

Remember, that is a list of people who CAN wield Nox, not people who are likely to want to. All it needs it a touch of darkness.

Apologies I mixed the two without thinking. I know dark shouldn't/doesn't instantly mean evil, sorry about that mix up >.<

I have to admit I'm not entirely sure of how magic seems to work in this RP ^^'

And I'm not rooting for an argument but just want to make sure its clear that becoming a werewolf is not a dark power at least not when it comes to Rain and the werewolves connected to her. I asked for free reign on werewolf lore when I made Rain, so things about her and her pack are different <.<

I'm not sure whether lunar manipulation would count towards it either, in my head it is just another form of light manipulation :/ but hey ho ^^' Rain should not be on the list of can wields.

If your power is used at night, I'm counting it as a dark power as far as Nox goes, because the literal translation of Nox is Night.

Ryuu

for fuck's sake we already decided that Ryuu can't hold a Nox about five times in a row
this new ryuu has 10000 less potential in holding the nox anyway

Eyy

Still busy because I'm cleaning some stuff up, but I'll be fully back soon.

@chukklehed

Also, nearly half (OVER half, actually) of the entire RP's cast is able to wield the Nox solely because they're associated with your definition of "Darkness," which expands in one of the most confusing ways possible solely because it's explained too broadly. Elaborate on this, because I still stand by the fact that someone like Ryuu or anyone not related to direct Darkness-Powers (ie. Rain) should be able to wield the Nox, considering how the sheer amount of potential wielders atm just demines the Nox's general value as both a weapon and an artifact.

And the fact that the other four can be wielded by literally anyone, including otherwise normal humans, doesn't? The only difference between Nox and Ignis is that while Ignis rejects the presence of water, Nox rejects the absence of dark. Otherwise, Ignis and Nox are no different in their power.

Also I was referring to Hyperion/Ryuu. I don't even know if he still exists. It's hard to keel track...

I requested for full elaboration so I can understand it, man. :(

Also, even if that's the case, it'd be great if you allowed people to exclude their characters from Nox, because daym, Ryuu really ain't fit for Darkness. He has an angelic power, a light power, and his attitude isn't "evil" if you think about it for like... five seconds.

OG Ryuu is pretty much dead, so we don't need to think about him for a long, long time lol

Like I said before, temperment has nothing to do with it. If dark emotions were a factor in wielding Nox and Lux, basically everyone who went to Athalia would be on the list.

Anyway, Here's the breakdown. Nox is a sword aligned with the Night, so powers with connection to darkness, the moon, and the stars are all qualifications for wielding it. Lux is aligned with the Day, so powers with connection to light and the sun are it's qualifications.

Ignis, Aqua, Terra, and Ventus have no alignment qualifications, but they do have exclusions to the opposite element, so people with water powers can't use Ignis, people with fire powers can't use Aqua, people with wind powers can't use Terra, and people with earth powers can't use Ventus. As long as you don't have the opposing element (or some wierd effect that keeps you from using artifacts), it's posible to wield one of these four, as the only real qualification is that you have to be alive and self aware. (Eg, the only person I can find who's unable to wield any of them is Prometheus, because he's not alive)

I see :o

So Ryuu won't be able to use Aqua, rite? (since his Plasma is pretty heat-based) I get it a bit more.

Does the strength of the weapons scale for each potential user? :o

It depends on several factors.

The condensed version is that every kind of supernatural ability the user has that isn't based on the element provides interfeerence.

Starting from an ordinary human wielding Aqua as "0":

A user with only water based abilities - 2
A user with mixed water and other type abilities - 1
A user with no abilities - 0
A user with only other type abilities - -1
A user with fire based abilities - -2

At -2, the sword begins rebelling against the wielder. Someone with fire based powers could technically wield Aqua, but the sword's magic would fight them every step, and they'd probably become crippled.

You mean from the previous day? I think that would be too confusing to throw in a Carmen post after I've done two Vikki posts from the present day. I'll check it out though.

At some point we can do a flashback collab to finish their conversation if you'd like.
