Athalia Academy, a once great supernatural school, now in ruins. It's students gone, it's halls empty, stands alone, a broken memory of times now gone.
It has been 5 years since we left the heroes of Athalia Academy and many of it's students have either died or fled to hide from Marcus Cross who has taken over the school grounds. 5 years ago, Marcus Cross sent his army to Athalia Academy, his attempt to squash it. However, Maria and her students were ready for him, at least they thought they were. Though they fought valiantly, Marcus triumphed as he sent a large ball of energy toward the main building, killing a majority of the students held inside of it.
Since then, Maria and the few students left in her care have fled the country of Elaniel to seek refuge in Oasari, Maria having an old friend there. Marcus, for whatever reason refuses to attempt a take over on Oasari and thus Maria has chosen it as their base of operations. Marcus, now under control of every other nation, excluding Xiuhcoatl, the dragon nation. Brako had been sent ahead of them to seek out the other dragons help while the small band of students and Maria must find a way to get to Xiuhcoatl without being arrested.
Little do they know that as Brako nears Xiuhcoatl, he can feel the weak pulses of the dragons. Something is happening to them, what is Marcus doing to them and how can they help the dragons? Before they can ask for help, they must help the dragons regain their strength and get past this cursed that has been lain upon them.
Yes, yes. My friends! It is time again for Athalia Academy to resurface with a new name! 'Legends of Lavanya' This does not mean that Athalia Academy is gone forever, however, as it can still exist if the characters build it back up again. But for the sake of the RP, the name has been changed to suit it's contents.
Athalia is an RP and idea near and dear to my heart and I'd like to see it flourish once again. Please, please be kind to it. :3
1) Save the drama for your mamma. Drama should be dealt with in PM, not in the OOC. Drama in IC, however, is perfectly fine so long as it does not bleed over into the OOC as drama between RPers. 2) GM and co-GM reserve the rights to kick players out of RP for reasons they deem... well... reasonable. These could include disrespect, lack of posting for extended periods of time, or other various malconducts. 3) This RP is posted in Casual. There is a three line minimum and grammar is expected to at least be legible. Please try to proof-read to make sure your posts are making sense. 4) The minimum posting schedule should be one post a week. More is fine so long as it does not leave other players behind. (A loose posting rule may be put into place should it become a problem.) 5) One 'On-Screen' Character and a plethora of 'off-screen' characters allowed. Please consider your limits, the wellbeing of the RP, and if you have questions feel free to either PM the GM or co-GM. (There are exceptions. If you cannot avoid having more than one character on-screen at a time, please try to make it brief and only as needed. The GM and co-GM may contact you if it becomes an issue.) 6) Please make sure that if you have plans that they are run by either the GM or co-GM before implementation. Background
Lavanya has been around as long as Europe has, time of the dinosaurs, all that crap. And it has always been known as a magic heavy area. It's where most of the magic nations were centralized. However, during the time of the Salem Witch Trials, a certain Mage, the Originator as he is called, was tired of the persecutions and began working on a plan. This plan was called, "Project Odyssey." In this, a team of mages formed together to create a mana pool large enough to sustain the spell they were trying to pull off, the creation of a pocket dimension. It formed around Lavanya and closed off the continent and it's surrounding islands to the rest of the world. Then, the Originator, using a good chuck of his mana or energy pool, erased Lavanya from the history books and soon it became a mere legend.
Travel from Lavanya to the 'mortal'/'human' side is more restricted, though it always has been this way. In order to leave Lavanya, one must obtain a passport with the key to open the portal to the other side (they pop out in the Pacific). They have to go through pretty rigorous training to ensure that they will not reveal anything to the humans. There are also some humans that do come to Lavanya but most of them are brought by Lavanya Citizens and sworn to secrecy.
No one has heard from the Originator since and he is assumed to have passed away, but this is still under debate.

Powers:
Spiritual release - he can send his spirit out of his body to do his bidding, it can fight with anything that has a soul (but not without, however if he uses it to throw objects or use other things to hurt it, it can still do that), his spirit is bound by all of the rules of normal ghosts, has to concentrate to affect inanimate objects, will go through walls, ext, except that to a being with a soul he is effectively a solid object, albeit a little harder to hit. he can still be harmed in spirit form, though it's harder and in general requires some kind of magical assistance (but considering literally everything at Athalia has some magic that doesn't change much XD)
Spiritual conversion - if someone's spirit is weak enough he can pull it from their body, this doesn't kill the person but renders their physical body immobile while their spirit is outside of it, at which point the spirit can fight him or try and flee back into it's own body. but for strong-willed people trying to do this might hurt but it won't be able to pull their spirit out (whether or not someone is strong or weak willed is up to gms)
Weaknesses:
Separation - when his spirit is outside of his body, he's immobile and can in no way defend himself, if he and his spirit are separated then he'll start getting sick and the longer they're apart the worse it gets until he dies.
Claustrophobia - he's claustrophobic, even as a spirit so if you can get him in a small enough area he'll get scared and won't know how to react.
mechanical legs - his legs are heavier then the rest of him and make him severally bottom heavy whenever he tries to move on his own or if people try to carry him. and even when they work they are very barely the same strength as a normal human's legs and can keep him up and allow him to walk but their only addition in strength comes from how heavy they are.
Personality:
he has Intermittent explosive disorder, so he'll get angry over the smallest thing and over-react. but otherwise he's a total sweet heart, a quiet and kind man, who tries not to get in anyone's way or be a bother, but he's fiercely loyal and when he finds someone that he is loyal to he'll put them above himself every time. He is angered mainly by injustice, meaness, bullying, or disbelief due to his own experiences. being a trauma survivor he has very mild PTSD and relies on Scillia to keep him from blowing up.
he was in an accident as a kid, and in the crash his legs were crushed. it was also during this crash that he discovered his abilities, when he was thrown from the car his spirit pulled itself from his body.
when people didn't believe him afterwards he got angry and developed Intermittent explosive disorder and because he was uncontrollable his parents had him put in an asylum in hopes of him getting better.
his legs had to be amputated and a scientist decided to try an idea for cybernetic legs on him. the idea was faulty at best and the legs rarely work, though in occasional bursts he can in fact use them.
he learned to better control his powers, to a degree, and a representative from Athalia came and offered to take him to the school, claiming it was a new-age psychiatric facility. his parents agreed and when they were alone the representative explained what Athalia really was and brought him there to begin his education.
There he met Scillia and when the school was attacked he fought and, while he was wounded in the battle, he survived, leaving him with a rather nasty scar on his abdomen, and they escaped.
He asked Scillia to marry him and she said yes. he works on most anything technical for their people.

Medusa's Stare: Like Medusa, if someone looks directly into Andromeda's eyes they will turn to stone. She constantly wears either a veil or a pair of sunglasses so people won't be able to see her eyes.
Serpent Servants: Andromeda can speak to and exercise minor control over snakes (sort of more persuasion then control), and has complete control over the snakes on her head. If she doesn't specifically tell them to do something (telepathically) they pretty much just reflect her current mood.
Snake form: Andromeda has the Ability to turn her legs into a snake tail for short periods of time, however, it physically drains her to do so, if she goes in this form for too long she'll pass out and will have to wait hours before she can go into the form again. in this form she is much faster then on her legs and can exercise stronger (but still not complete) control over snakes being more like the creatures now.
Weaknesses:
Mortal: She is mortal, and as such mortal weapons can kill her, gun shot, sword through the gut, ext.
Cold-blooded: Andro is especially weak against cold (since she is in fact cold-blooded, since she's kind of part snake in a way)
trust issues: years of mental and emotional abuse from her mother have made it hard for her to trust people, she is still friendly, but hardly lets people close to her.
Personality:
very shy, is friendly and wants to have friends but doesn't know how to go about it, socially awkward, kind, often returns to her Greek roots in appearance and actions as well as speech.
Background:
Andromeda is in fact Medusa descendant, the stoning powers skipped a generation so her mother thought she had been normal and when she had a baby that turned a nurse to stone when she finally opened her eyes, she shunned her and locked her up, home-schooling her and always teaching her there was something wrong with her. and as she was never allowed to look anyone, even her own mother in the eyes, she now has trouble doing that, seeing it as Taboo, despite the fact her gaze won't turn people to stone as long as she has her veil on. she was sent there when she got an invitation to study and her mother was happy to get rid of her. she started to open up a little before the school was attacked and now she has returned to much of her original reclusive habits.
@Destinyfailhorror17 I just used stuff from old CSs because I'm lazy. Maria's the only one that got an updated CS. Brako and Criston are next.

Soul Stones: He can uses the power of souls trapped in certain gems to give himself certain abilities and skills, based on how the being that possessed that soul died.
Souls in his possession:
Soul of the Beast: Only soul whose being overpowers the circumstances of death, it gives him the ability of the demon, which are Necromancy, enhamced strength, durability, and reflexes. However, the weakness for this ability is that it will turn him into beast driven only by rage and bloodlust and thus he must have a singular goal in mindto use this stone without endangering those around him.
Death by Fire: Pyrokinesis, Mid-level skill allows him to make medium sized fire balls
Slain by the Sword: Acuikinesis and gives him skills of a skilled swordsman, as well as allowing him to turn his scythe into a sword, high-level skill
Death by wolves: Bestows partial Lycanthropy, giving him enhanced senses, reflexes, strength, durability, and speed, but he also gains their weaknesses as well, Mid-level skill
Switching between stones requires a wait time of 30 secs, and each stone has a cooldown time of 10 minutes before they can be used again.
Eyes of the Reaper: Along with his abilitiy to interact with spirits of the deceased or beings that reside on the other side of death, he can also view the souls of living people, a rough idea of what abilities they may have, and what kind of being they are.
Cloak and Scythe: His Cloak is an extension of his soul, andthus can be changed at will to look like any kind of attire he feels is needed, as well as bearing a poclet dimmension that can hold a few crucial things inside it. His scythe is able to cut any possessive spirit out of the host without harming said host, as well as send spirits on their way to the next life. They will also be affected by Soul Stone usage, though it is mostly a cosmetic change.
Weaknesses
Cost of power: A drawback to using Soul Stones is that one must experience the death the being expeirenced everytime that stone is activated(It is of cou4se sped up to the point that it takes a second to experience, though it usually feels much longer). This tends to take a toll on the minds of many users, as the deaths are usually very unpleasant.
Old Wound: Has a scar an old wound in his back that never healed right and causes him a lot of pain if he gets hit there or i falls on it.
Neglected: One of the few things that really angers him is when someone tries to act motherly to him, as it reminds him of how his own rarely ever acted in such away towards him.
Heroes are fools: Despises those who call themselves the selflessherouc types, thinking them fools destined to an early grave
Clueless: Due ti his father putting an emphasis in teaining rather than living, he has very little in the ways of real world experience, social skills, or basic ettiquette. This makes him seem a lot colder and ruder than he really is, though his apathetic introversion makes it difficult for him to clear things up.
Personality
Grimm is a rather stoic individual, not being one for displays of emotion of any sort. Tending to be more of an observer type, he has a tendancy to just watch people go by their business, usually drawing anything that interests him as he does so. He has a rather bleak view on life sometimes, something attributed to both his use of Soul Stones and his mothers death by those who know him.
Background
He grew up on the road most of the time, as his mither was something of a traveling hero of sorts, going around the world to help anyone in need. And while he did look up to his mother for what she did, he sometimes couldn't help but resent her for it as well. She was always so busy trying to help people, she hardly spent anytime with him, nit because she didn't lovehim, but because she was too enamored by the romanticism of what she did.
One day, however, disaster struck. His mother was killed by a demon, an event which caused him to awaken his own powers as a Reaper and finish the fiend as it tried to escape. After that event, however, he found himself in the care of his father, a Reaper of Great power and influence, who worked tirelessly to train Grimm into the finest reaper there ever was. He was a cold man, however, and did nothing to help Grimm recover from the trauma of his mother's death, leaving him to resent her for dying, for leaving him alone in this world, for never being there for him and always being there for others.
@Animelover_princess Oliver looks good. I'd recommend trying to clean it up a bit as the CS is a bit messy, but other than that, it's good! (Same with Andro. :P)
@Raijinslayer I'll have a greater look at this one when it's done, but I'll go ahead and say that being able to read people's thoughts will be touchy. It always is. I might have to say no just to avoid future complications, sorry. Being able to see auras, and what kind of being the person is are fine. I'm going to also put a limit on his ability to see characters' abilities. The player of that character will tell you what abilities your character can see. He may not be able to see all of the powers/abilites a character has. If you don't like this, then I'd recommend swiping that one as well. However, as I said, seeing auras and species or rough powers is okay. Like, he could totally see that Lily is angel and that she is currently very sad or upset, etc. But not much more than that.

Powers
Age Accelerate: He can accelerate the age of objects with varying speeds/rates, as in age 2 years in one year, 5 in 3 years or even 10 years in a day. He can make objects age to death, leaving nothing but dust. Like metal to rust or an apple to a rotten waste. He can only use it on non-living things except for plants and trees.
Physical Restoration: He can repair and return any broken or damaged non-living object to its optimal state no matter how long it has been broken or how damaged it was.
Age Reversal: He can reverse the age of objects. Zivon can make thereverse aging automatic, so the item pre-ages at a rapid rate. (Random note: His eyes will turn a bright purple when he uses his power) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Weakness
Extended time: If Zivon uses his powers for a long extended period of time then he could black out for at least two days and can lead to memory lost.
Emotions and fear: Zivon's emotions can very much lead to his downfall. Due to his personality he is a bit unstable with his power. Zivon fears that using his power will only cause destruction which causes him to use his power more often as his power his fueled by his own fear.
Half-human: He is still half-human, possessing a human soul, and still experience human weaknesses even though he doesn’t know his angel side though.
Sensitive touch: Easily sensitive to magic or any form of magical powers.That means he is like to get more effect than others if magic of something magical happens to him. Since his angel and human side still battle out inside of him, magic can cause consequences to his body and mind. Side affects include major headaches, uncontrollable anger, emotional breakdowns and easily weak body.
Hunted: Nephilims are viewed as a disgrace and a complete mistake to every normal angel, making them a prime subject for hunting. There are entire choirs of angels dedicated to the extermination of nephilim.
Heaven’s Enmity: Most angels regard Nephilim as the worst kind of abominations, more detestable than even demons and devils. Most angels will always react negatively to a Nephil, and will always interpret the angel’s words and actions in the worst possible light. Only a direct order from the deity they serve will ever cause an angel to aid a Nephil in any way. Nephilim can never benefit from healing or other miracles from angels.
Unable to walk: Due to the attack somehow even though he can heal his legs never recovered and made him paralyzed waist below. He can’t walk or even move his legs and only main support for him to move is his wheel chair, without it basically impossible for him to move unless he drags himself. That makes him open to many attacks and can barely defend himself.
Zivon had changed a lot from his past, he used to be so frail and weak, he couldn’t fight or speak at all without wondering if he would get beaten up for it. He really lived a life of fear though things changed after the attack. Even though he is still scared anything loud or big scares him easily and he still has no spine he somehow can smile a bit more. Maybe he had accepted the fact that he is always scared but he had to learn to live in it. Thunder, big people, wax candles...it still all scares him but now instead of crying he runs...at least retrying to forget everything.
Losing the ability to walk cost him gravely though, even mentioning it he would just go silent and leave. He tries to be positive about it but it makes him feel like he is working to hard on it. Ziv does prefer to be alone but usually he would try and chat with people, hopefully to feel better sometimes. His powers though…it still scared him and to this point he tries to barely use it, covering his hands in bandages or gloves trying at least to prevent any casualties. Even though he is calmer with it…he still think its curse and sometimes he wishes he can cut his hands off.
Zivon a hard life, when finding out his ability he has been shunned and beaten around for his "death touch". Lots of kids and teens loved to humiliate and beat the poor Ziv around but Zivon couldn't do anything about, he was to afraid to say anything or do anything. After the harassment went on for a long time until he was 12 his dad decided to move out just to protect him.
After another awful event that had him lived that wherever he go there was something out there for him, he grew even more afraid and trapped himself in a world of fear. After receiving a letter to Athalia academy he decided he didn't want to go but his dad wanted him to experience new things and try to forget what had happen to him before. He still didn't want to but his dad tried to insist him, making him believe he was strong enough to go and become the child he was before so he agreed just because he though he was causing his dad more trouble than before.
He did had a good school life until the attack, it really changed him a bit slowly he began to smile…even though he is more solitary he can smile again. Losing the ability to walk did affect him greatly he tries to ignore it and life normally but he somehow always regret something of it. It’s hard for him to really help with the community with his new disability but he tries for the most part.

@Raijinslayer The mind reading ability still needs to be changed. Also... He's a Cross? O-O; I mean, he's got the hair to BE a Cross but I'd still need to see what sort of relation he would have to the rest of the Cross family as it could affect that entire dynamic. I still need to make a clear list of who is in the Cross family. I know who they are, I just have to solidify it and write it down so people can see it better.
Oh, and with the amount of powers you've given him, I'd like to see some more weaknesses possibly a greater limit on those powers. Most of them are fairly high level and give him a bit too much power. If you need an example of a well balanced power, I'd look at some of the other CSs the veterans have posted.
I hope I'm not being too nitpick-y here. o-o; I'm not doing this to be mean or anything. I've just been walked over in the past. So if it seems like I'm being... strict? I guess I sort of am.
@HylianRose It's cool, I'll probably just lessen the amount he has access to. Aa for the Cross thing, I've literally no idea about any of that, it was just the first thing that popped into my head. A coincidence
