why do we need to push posts? It's not like anybody is giving up because the RP is slow, and we've always just taken our time with it, so why are we being so frantic now?

It's not that I'm being 'frantic' as you say, I just would like to see if this works and is something that could help us get more consistent posting out. Even I at first was a bit put off by the deadlines he gave us in the RP I saw this in, but I've realized the value it has for the GM who wants to keep the plot rolling rather than letting it sit in stagnation.

So right when I try to take advantage of the situation I get fucked over by a new rule that mostly benefits Rose.

Why does it only benefit me? I'm fairly busy but if I can get one post out to you guys a week, I'd call that a good week. With a combination of readings to do and movies to watch (I'm taking a Film Theory class) I usually don't feel like getting online. I'll be getting a post out to you guys tonight if I can help it. But ye. I'm not doing this to try and benefit myself by any means. I only ever do what I think is good for the RP. I'm not scared that people are going to quit on me and I fairly okay with speed at which IC is moving. I'd just like to see more consistency. Just give it a shot and if we all absolutely hate it, you can scream and yell at me then. Till then, chill out.

Looks like I'm going to be making Vikki posts and other ancillary, non-main canon posts to fill time in the coming weeks, then. Might be just the right time to have a Kali Rana intro/adventure story.

Since none of the other players seem to be active, once I'm finished working for the day (I got a new job :D), I'll begin drafting up some postz for you guys.

In other news, I might be GMing a roleplay soon. I know...try not to have a heart attack.

I didn't post that then as an attack on you though your leaving did remind me that I'd wanted to bring the idea in. Being skipped won't be the end of the world, it's not like I'm kicking the character out should you fail to post in a timely manner. So don't worry too much about it. Consider this as a very chill way to try and keep the story moving.

No, I don't need to chill because I already am. Lol, I'd have to become one of my RP characters before that could happen.

Though, judging by where my hair is going, that could become a reality sooner than later...I've already been called a Dragonball Z character more than once.

I got a job as the horn section coach for IU's funk/soul music group. So basically I get paid 150% of what I was at Target to transcribe music, coach horn players and play in a funk band.

And no, I no longer work at Target. :D

@NarayanK I'm pretty used to the things I do pissing the lot of you off regardless. So when you, even in joking, say that I'm doing something to benefit myself, I tend to get defensive about it. Call me weird.

And along that same vein, sarcasm never translates well over the internet. Sarcasm involves body language and tone of voice both of which are not present in the text we use to communicate with one another. If you want to make a joke, please make it painfully obvious you have made a joke.

Just like... add -sarcasm, ofc- or some other way to show that you are indeed joking. I know I sound like a robotic bitch that takes things too seriously, but I like taking you guys seriously, it's sort of what I do and have always done.

Even though my main goal is to have fun here... but I still like to show respect to you guys as my RPers, anyway.

@chukklehedI can understand why Sharon would get the fact that they need to hit the crystal, but how the hell does she know that the snake is connected to Marcus? It's not like a mini Marcus is sitting inside Maruki's eyes. She wouldn't know that unless you have some bullshit reason she can see it. Otherwise, she doesn't.

Since you didn't put that into the CS, I'm going to say no. I already would have a problem with seeing into the future as a power but I suppose I okayed it once.

Anyway, yeah. She can't know that Marcus is connected to the Snake. Just no. That will probably be revealed to the group much later when it comes about.

Also, the crystal is simply the device he's using to control the creature. He's using magic to see what the Snake sees.

It was in the original description of the Zero eye, in fact, it was the MAIN use of it. Seeing the future was just one of it's strengths, the important part was that it gave Oco a "sight beyond sight", which he could use to see the structure of spells, see over great distances, and, yes, see into the fragmented future. When Oco was using it, he could have thrown his sight along Marcus's connection to the snake and seen everything around him, but since Sharon is inexperienced, the most she saw was that the snake was connected to something, and that connection looks like Marcus's magic.

I could see her being able to see the magic being cast onto the snake, but how long exactly has she had this power? Would she even know what Marcus' power looks like? Was she in the war?

I'm not trying to be a pain, I'm just honestly wondering because I'd much rather them be at least a little bit in the dark on this. But if she knows what Marcus' magic looks like, that changes the plot fairly drastically on my end. And yes I do have a skeleton idea of what I'm wanting to happen. It's not laid out in stone because I feel like that would take away from the flexibility of the RP itself, but I feel that I need to be a better GM in terms of pushing the plot in a direction rather than just flopping around like a bunch of equally cute but useless magikarp. So when I'm reading posts, I'm usually trying to formulate the different ways I'd like to push the plot. Anyway, ye.

You read the side story right? Sharon GOT the Eye while fighting her private war with Marcus, not long after he started his power grabbing in earnest. In fact, she probably wouldn't recognize anybody else's magic besides his, only because she's been fighting against it so long.
