We might once it actually starts moving. Or if people actually talked in the OOC, that would be nice too. I love coming back to conversation.

But 162 OC posts.. and you're in casual interests checks and several other rp's... idk. I'm feeling disheartened. I'm just sayin. I'll go away now.

I'm always overloaded with things because by the time I get done everything I need to get done I'm bored and everyone's sleeping so I pop around and find something new or drop an interest check somewhere. Quite a few of my rps aren't active right now actually. So I'm working on posts for those that are active and that includes the guidelines and first IC here. So do not fret, it's actually happening. It just hasn't happened yet.

And believe me. I've seen a lot more OOC posts before on every other site I've ever joined. I'm used to averaging like four hundred at least before a role play actually starts.

@ViolentViolet Most of the time, on this site, I see the OOC become more active once the RP kicks off because when people plot and stuff for characters they do it via PM, but when posts are being made people comment and lament on them. Often times, I've come across RP's on here that have hundreds more posts in the OOC than IC and they're often dead because there isn't a good... Mix I guess?

I don't remember what my point was. Looking forward to the start of this. Plan on popping the other two characters in here once it gets off the ground. :D Along with the history I need to write you as well, of course!

Ah. I'll remember that when I think about here. I love seeing an active OOC myself though, because I like it when my players get along and feel free to talk plots and twists and drama and romance and about every day life and stuff. I personally feel more comfortable when I see everyone talking and getting along because things get messy when two people don't like each other or anything.

@ViolentViolet I can definitely understand that, for sure. I think we'll see how everyone clicks once we get the ball rolling, and I'm sure it'll be awesome!

Yeah I really am sorry for how long I'm taking. I've had to drop out of a few role plays that hadn't started yet so I can begin to catch up to where I need to be to really be able to pay as much attention to this as it needs me to right now.

@ViolentViolet Well, with any luck you'll be able to pick those RP's back up! It also might make your workload easier if you make a couple people co-GM's. That way, they can approve characters, enforce rules, as well as push the plot forward if you're held up for some reason. ^^

Yeah I thought about it but I'm always scared of sharing so many ideas and such with someone because I've been pretty much booted out of my own role play before and that was not a fun experience for me.

@ViolentViolet Oh wow, that's horrible! At least on this site you can always remove their power if they're getting trippy (they get a badge next to their name which you can remove if you remove them from the GM list at the top). It's always good to make sure you and your co-GM's have guidelines that you all follow, and that you're all on the same page. I know from personal experience running an RP alone can sometimes be more disheartening and overwhelming than just removing power from people who don't deserve it.

TL;DR: There should be checks and balances.

It was pretty bad. She tried to turn everyone against me and say I was bullying her. It was an absolutely wretched situation. I swear the role play died because she was such a huge bitch. I really wanted it to go somewhere too :(
Yeah I think that feature is really cool honestly. I like it well enough :)

@ViolentViolet >: -hugs- That's horrendous! Jeez. Were you guys friends prior to that, or no?

Do you have any ideas on a good way to teach someone how to be mindful of something like tense shifts?

We got along well enough until she started screwing with my shit. *hugs back* I hate people who do that kind of shit.

Uh well there's resources on the internet to help guide one though tenses and transitions etc if you want to go look for one. I've never really taught anyone to difference or how to keep it even honestly so I wouldn't know where to start. I can edit, I'm just bad at teaching.

@ViolentViolet Yeah. I can definitely understand that. I used to try and help my friends with their writing by showing them how I would do it, and they would just steal it. My characters, my worlds, my species, all with only minor name differences. It's obnoxious.

M'kay, I'll see what I can do. I don't know how well this'll go xD not sure I'm the best teacher.

EDIT: I'm heading to bed g'night!

I only ever really show my friends that don't write my stories so they can tell me if they're any good or anything.

I seem to have a different take here. I don't share my stories with friends 'cause I can't handle the direct feedback very well. A lot of the stories I come up with in my head, I make threads for here to get them out and move on with my life. I gave up serious writing a while ago and now I just try to have fun.
