Name: Akame Natsuko
Age: 18
Wish: "To be strong enough to never rely on anyone again and burn away my mistakes forever."
Soul Gem Color: Orange
Powers:
Apart from manipulating flames-from the tiniest ember to the most violent firestorm, Akame possesses the power to collect all moisture in the area and convert it into kinetic energy, thus producing powerful flames. Furthermore, it leaves the targeted area weakened and fatigued, causing all the effects of liquid-deprivation.
Weapon:
Akame's primary weapon is a Japanese Chokuto, or a Japanese straight sword with the length of a katana. In a cruel twist of irony, the one who granted Akame her magic ensured that her power was destructive enough to either light a flaming beacon for all or burn a hole right through her soul.
Acting as a close ranged fighter, Akame can wield, manipulate, and manifest flaming swords that can reach up to scorching temperatures; these can be used to regular wielding for projectile action. Akame is free to utilize her main fire power as a whole in a wide variety of ways, including coating her blade in flame, hurling projectiles of fire, and even causing the equivalent of a small-scaled drought.
Personality:
Akame would like to refer to herself as someone who's just there to be there. She often tries to envision herself as just an ordinary girl and thinks she's no different than any other Magical Girl as a whole. This behavior is not to be mistaken for humbleness. Akame is actually quite weary of not only her magical powers and it's destructive capabilities, but also of forming close relationships with other people.
This irrational fear is due to a certain childhood event in Akame's life and the sheer ferocity of her prowess as a Magical Girl. Despite this, the doubt is not so great as to hinder Akame from at least trying to make friends and putting on a smile. However, she still finds it very difficult to get close to other people emotionally. She struggles to treat others as trusted friends more so then simple comrades at arms.
As of now though, the only close relations circulating her life are the bonds formed with her fellow senior Magical Girls.
Bio:
Akame can neither forget nor forgive her childhood, the whole reason why she became a Magical Girl in the first place. At the age of ten, Akame and a girl named Shizune Kagame were the best of friends, inseparable really. However, like all friendships, the two girl's bond was tested time and time again. One such time proved to be the last.
The two girls both had their eyes set on a gorgeous yellow bow, each believing that they should have it over the other. Arguing became shouting and fighting, leading to a falling out between the two. Through unfortunate circumstances, Akame ended up obtaining the bow, only for it to be stolen by Kagame instead. Jealous and fueled by rage, Kagame went to the bow shop late at night to properly dispose of the thing by burning it at the place where it all began with a match she had stolen prior. Tracking her down, Akame and Kagame once more debated on the fate of the bow.
Through the struggle, the fire began earlier than expected, setting the shop ablaze. Events involving a certain granter of magical powers occurred which led to Kagame perishing in the inferno and Akame barely escaping with her life. Once the authorities arrived and removed Kagame's charred body, all they could find was the yellow bow, albeit singed.
Racked with guilt and sorrow at her selfish wish to survive, Akame began drifting away from the other children, blaming herself for Kagame's fiery demise. To this day, Akame refuses to even touch the tattered yellow bow; it serves as the only remaining reminder of a tragic gateway to reality and brings back too much pain. Behind the cheery smile is still a girl haunted by her past doings.
Of course, no one knows of her story except the two few who she considers real friends.
