Final Fantasy Interest check, not only do I want to know if you wanna rp in final fantasy but also the format such as casual, advance, free, 1x1, small group or large group. Let me know because Im ready to mesh together a final fantasy story for those willing to enjoy it. So here's some basic concepts that I like to explore.

Rich culture: no place is without meaning as there is always an important detail to be told in the description of everything.

Looming Darkness: I mean there's always something bad that's happening whether it's war or a bad guy.

Magic: A final fantasy story without magic is way to simple. There will always be magic.

So interested? Reply and tell me what you look forward to in a final fantasy rp if you're willing to jump on it!

Hey, a Final Fantasy RP sounds fun. World-building is one of my favorite parts about crafting stories, so I'm all for forming history and culture. I think a small group RP would be best. This is what I imagine, each RP member can have a character that would act as a party member in an actual game. As for format, I prefer casual. Classes keep me a bit too busy for advance.

Jarek Phoenix:
A street urchin who rose from poverty to be the Court Wizard's apprentice. His master, Archmage Cid, is an eccentric old man who knows as much about science as he does magic, which means to say ALOT. Since his master calls him by his last name as a formality, everyone just calls him Phoenix. Cid is frustrated by Jarek's difficulty in learning new spells. So far, Jarek knows thunder, cure, fire, ice, exit, and antidote spells. Jarek also learned the goblin and chocobo summoning spells. For a twenty one year old man, that's many spells, but Cid believes that Jarek could be a much better mage. ((Jarek can only cast a chocobo or goblin spell twice per battle, since they are the most powerful spells he knows right now)).

Jarek is street smart and actually became the Court Wizard's apprentice by stealing a magic scroll from Cid's pockets. When Jarek opened the scroll to see what spell he would be selling for whatever amount of money it was worth, he noticed that it was transformed into an invitation to become Cid's apprentice. He has atoned for early years as a thief trying to survive on the streets

I agree with Script for a small group rp and casual, and to have characters situated to roles in the party. If that's going to be the case, I would like to be the lancer/dragoon (just sort of calling the role in advance, like ActRaiser has with his mage.) I like the idea very much for a FF rp. I currently play FFXIV ARR, eagerly awaiting the expansion. :]

@AphelionI only played the demo, but have a lot of friends who play ARR. I might try it out this summer.

@Everyone: Which game in the series are we going to base combat roles on?

omg omg omg omg omg. I don't know if I'll join, but I will definitely watch this. I've been a fan of the FF series since I was little, and I am currently addicted to FFXIV: ARR.

I can't play ff XIV :( i don't have the laptop that good (yet)

BUT I will say that based on the following info

Our story will be set in the early ages when technology is about as far as a prototype generator which will eventually replace magic flying air crafts and make electricity wide spread. It's still an age of kingdoms however, and wizards are the modern day engineers.

Races:
Hume,
Moogle,

will be the most common, the canon races from all other games will be considered rare. Like... hmm If Fran from ff12 had a sister and those were the only two viera in the game that would be the rarity of other races. That being said if you choose a canon race you're going to get an important role assigned to you like, duke, king, or prince or something.

ALSO Royalty will take a very special role in this setting. The concept of a kingdom is very different here. Such as the King who does not live in a castle and isn't actually a blood line as much as a god choosing a particular person per generation. I'll explain much more later.

ANYWAY custom races will be uncommon but more popular compared to canon races. If you wish to make one there will be a template for culture and such. I would like to say our setting is a blended culture where the kingdom is currently taking refuges since several kingdoms are prepping for world war 1. (something something the gods created something that isn't so good for the world population, something something piety something something angry god is pissed, soemthing something I have nothing in stone)

CLASSES. IMPORTANT.

Our kingdom is the Navire Kingdom, home of the Sky Wizards.
So Sky Wizard is a thing. (Magic)
Paladin and Dragoon (Semi Magic and Pure Physical)
Ranger and Archer (Semi Physical and Ranged)
the last of "military" endorsed classes is Summoner who gets a bonded creature that is always customized.

Then we have Street classes such as Thief, Monk, and Mage who are all not endorsed by the military so they don't follow the orders of the kingdom and instead are contracted by them. The big difference between the Mage and Wizard here is that the Wizard is a creator of spells for military, infrastructure, and academics. The Mage is a specialist such as Black Mage, Blue Mage, Green Mage, etc that is off on his own for his job. The kingdom contracts them if they've got a big project on their hands and their a wizard short.

Anyway, as Citizens or Representatives of other countries, I'd like you all to pick a Class, Race, and non-combat Job such as "engineer, academic, smith," which fits an early fantasy theme involving magic and only the start of technology. If that's an avenue you want to develop for the rp then we can. ANYWAY

Cid is head Wizard, one cannot have final fantasy without Cid.

It's gunna be small group casual. I don't mind more than 5 people as long as we're all posting.

Race: Human
Job: Caller
Non-Combat Job: Thaumaturgist (magical jobs, miscellaneous such as looking for water, analyzing the air for dangerous gasses, sensing evil, like Tellah from Final Fantasy IV, observing items and people, as well as monsters so as to tell if they are powerful, what kind of power they have, (Like, "Sorceress", "Sage", "Black Mage", "White Mage", etcetera.)
