I had to... awkward cough is always necessary. Anyway, hoping to get one more after these two (hopefully from the INT check) so that we can get started.
Umm.... I guess so? I mean, I wasn't really planning on using the Princesses of Heart thing for anything at all (actually, that concept kinda slipped my mind to tell you the truth) ... so yea. If you want her to be one, go ahead.
Although for this RP it'll probably be more of a title than anything of plot significance. Since I didn't really make plans for using Princesses of Heart or anything like that.
Spades is best described as an adventurous soul with a strong sense duty. while she has often chomped at the bit to explore the wild depths of wonder land, or other worlds for that matter, to see and do fantastic things, and above all live life to the fullest she can and them some. Yet she has a strict sense of obligation, to the Card Kingdom and to whatever job she is given towards. But it important to understand, that while this sense of duty will never be broken, will often guide her actions, and ultimately decided her course, it isn't quite so ridged that she won't bend it for a little fun.
Pic Annie Card's story is something of a unique one among the wonderland folk, especially in the card kingdom territory of wonderland. She grew up, worked, and still work ( technically speaking ) as a 'Maid' in the Queen of Hearts Castle. She has no family proper to speak of, none that claimed her anyways. She was left on the step of the workers-quarters of the Queen of hearts castle, and to the surprise of many she is not a full and proper wonderland being. Oh sure she was born there, and lived all her life with its rather mad denizens but she was always a bit more subdued than the others, by wonderland standards at least, and, as a great deal of the animal citizens of wonderland point out, her smell is just a bit off. Everyone, including her, knows she is the child of a wonderland citizen and some person from another world that was unlucky enough to wind up in the unorthodox realm. No one knows who exactly her parents are, but there are of course rumors. That she is the child of a less noble, or a courtly lord, or even a bastard child of the king or queen themselves. Though those are all unlikely rumor mill fodder. The more likely story being some card-guard ended up not wanting the reasonability of his mistake. This theory hold the most water, given how as she grew older she was less interested in brooms and cleaning and more in swords and shields. She loved to spend her free time learning the art of fighting from the guards and knights of the card kingdom. After showing she was rather suited to both combat and maid work she was made, of all things, the personal maid/bodyguard of the Prince no less!
From a child, growing up with a handful of cards and the white rabbit as her primary parent figures, to a trusted member of the castles staff, teaching her the various do and don'ts of life. To a trusted member of the hard working castle staff, to the personal shield maiden of Future king of the kingdom. Its quite a unlikely tale of rising through the ranks. Though, the fact that she discovered her key blade shortly after the Prince got his was definitely a contributor to that last bit. When a bit of shadow crept into the Castle, while the staff was very careful, they were not worried as the WDS had handled such threats in the past and would do so again this time. But either by numbers or by chance, one heartless managed to slip into the staffs hiding spot. Spades leapt to her fellow's defense, broom in hand, and in a flash of light it had changed from a broom to a keyblade. The royals were of course informed of this, and took it as a sign. A young maid who spent half of her time learning to fight and had a weapon that was in the same rare class as the prince's own? Who else could would be the perfect Shield Maiden of his royal Highness. So from there the rather simple life of Spades was going to be far more interesting, and she didn't mind in the least bit.
"Well played Hand" It's handle is a golden heart shaped guard about around a traditional handle, ending in chain with a charm that appears to be the 4 traditional aces, The blade itself appears as a if cards had been wrapped about a long cylinder, and at the end the 4 suit symbols jut down as the keys teeth. It is now two centuries since the bombs fell, since the world was devastated by the nuclear exchange between the US and China. It has also been more than twenty years since The Courier, in New Vegas, defeated the corrupt New California Republic, the vile Caesar's Legion, and the dictatorial Mr. House...only to found a more corrupt, vile, and dictatorial nation in their place. For in this version of the Fallout world, the Courier had been affected by his injury to the head, causing his thoughts to grow corrupted by lust for power. Now, New Vegas is a nation where every vice can be satisfied, anything and anyone can be bought for the right price, and where masses of slaves toil for the ego of a once-heroic soul now a travesty of himself.
Lacrima Monti, named after the Italian word for tears, was born to The Courier and one of his slave concubines, one of many 'Princes' of New Vegas. From the start, he was taught how to rule, how to fight, and how to kill, under the tutelage of the harshest teachers his father can get him. He also had to compete with his other siblings, both male and female, for they learned to betray and backstab each other as soon as they can comprehend the concepts. It was an unhappy life, but Lacrima found solace in his books, and the few kind people in the palace, such as his mentor in history, whose harshness was only a facade, and his nanny and serving maid. So, he found himself with some moments of happiness, and even began to dream of 'fixing' his father's domain. But, this was not to last.
For one of his brothers framed Lacrima for trying to poison their father, and The Courier, his anger amplified by his paranoia, had Lacrima
How should I continue this? Should I have him exiled from New Vegas, or enslaved?
