Hey, hey, hey--Kinsakwi would take her on but she's got her hands full with a certain padawan called Shiri xD

My girl's a Knight now, so she's looking for a former Master who would've taught her 10-20 years previously.

Having checked it looks like Kinsakwi may be too young as well. :)

Yes, I know it's the language, as she said, but it should also be used as a proper pronoun for the Togruta race.

I don't think so, a lot of species typically kept the same name. I.e. Selkath, Twi'lek, Barabel, Chiss.

@Sep In the case of the Twi'lek the proper pronoun used is Twi'leki as well, isn't it?

...What exactly would you think the Jedi Temple's stance on trans-sexuality would be? They are a highly conservative religious order that disproves things like strong emotion, personal attachment and emotional relationships of any kind. They also discourage jedi marrying each other because they fear the creation of powerful force dynasties.

Personally I feel that its one of those grey areas that the Jedi Council refuses to call one way or the other because it seems more like a decision that every individual jedi needs to make for themselves on how they feel about it.

I can't imagine there's an official stance on it, but I don't think they would care overly much. Considering all the weird shit that's in the known galaxy, and the fact they have members from dozens of different species and cultures, I can't imagine transgendered Jedi would be even something that would come up as taboo or weird.

When you consider the fact that some humans have mated with Twi'leki, which is technically bestiality, does mere gender even come into the equation?

@Dervish@SimplyJohn

Those are both fairly good points.

I don't think Twi'leki/human relations can be called bestiality through. Fairly certain that would get you into trouble.

I don't think that's the right term for it. Bestiality would be like an animal. Maybe something like xenophillia, I dunno.

To cut a complex discussion short, its been decided on a GM level that right now there's already enough characters of "non-traditional" sexual preferences than is normal in a population. Rounding the player character population to the nearest thirty, one should expect roughly 15 of those to be female. Right now, there are 4-5 of those who have inclinations towards either playing with the same gender, or towards playing with both genders. That makes it roughly 27-33% of the female population.

But in the case now, the list of characters has 15 males and 11 females. So with 4-5 of those being bisexual or lesbian, it is not 27-33%, but 36.4-45.5%. Not exactly a normal level.

It is for this reason we'll not at this time have more characters of such preferences.

Granted, through all of this, its also important to note that romance between characters is not the primary focus of Aftermath. Sure, it might happen, but it doesn't have to. And it certainly doesn't have to be successful if it does happen. One or both characters in such a pairing might die, for example. Or someone (read: Darth Nyiss) could let Sish run freely. You never know what happens if he gets to do that. Or rather, you never know exactly who will be maimed and die.

On a more joyous note:

The opening post for the IC is rapidly growing forth. If all goes according to plan, it'll come up tomorrow, when we and Echo (and hopefully Fallen) are all online and awake.

@MonkeyBusiness
We can see from your sheet that you want your Jedi to be less experienced and less effective as a warrior. Thats not a bad thing in the current player crowd. We have a slight suggestion for change to her style. Rather than have her simply be inexperienced at wielding a lightsaber, have her be bad at fighting others with it, bad at duels. Instead, have her be fairly good at sending blaster bolts back to their owners and at treating the wounded. A true support role.

There’s no need for her to be trained to win battles on her own. Not all Jedi are suited for that. Instead, it would be logical for her to have been trained to ensure that the troops she serves with wins the battles. Do you like that idea?

Secondly, as a healer, its very likely that she spent some time training on H’Ratth, as that’s the primary academy for Jedi healers. That would allow her to know Lea a little too. Not too well, though. Lea never had all that many close friends.

Fallen’s additions
If she was bad at combat, Ellri’s suggestion works out well (both really) and I’ve already stated in his CS he likes the support and healing role anyway. There’s little reason his Padawan can’t take the same role as well. In fact, he would’ve insisted on it because it kept both out of the line of fire, allowing them to live longer. It also allows a different flavor too.

I don't think that's the right term for it. Bestiality would be like an animal. Maybe something like xenophillia, I dunno.

Under British law bestiality is usually defined as "sexual relations with a living creature outside one's own species", so @SimplyJohn would be technically right in it applying in the case of alien lifeforms, as they're a different species to humans.

Having said that though, as US law defines bestiality as "sexual relations between a human and an animal" the term could not be so readily applied to an alien lifeform, unless the alien was first to be classified as an animal, which may cause some problems with contractual and corporate law for any organisation wanting to start trading with a bunch of animals from outer space.

Overall though, I'd say that the term xenophilia1 would be more appropriate.

1 - defined internationally as "an attraction to foreign peoples, cultures, or customs"

In other words, trained in the Shien discipline of Form V.

For someone who doesn't have many friends, you certainly seem to be pushing for her to have met an awfully large portion of the cast.

Some of the less cultured Sith would probably define it as bestiality, but thats primarily because they deem most "lesser" species to be animals.

We're pushing to have several have met her, yes @Genni. None yet have met her anytime recently, though.

What's likely to scare me off more is the poor grammar, spelling, sentence structure and the pointlessly long, rambling paragraphs. Let's hope we don't see any of that. :)

Just a thought, can I change my 'write-out' scene to one where Dede kills herself after having to listen to the fifth person in a row dump their entire life history on her in their first post?

How much time should I give for the Sith to make it to the Tranquillity Spire? How quickly would they have been able to clear out the Temple?
