[IC] Yugioh: The King's Shadow

Atem nods understanding better what was going on and what needed to be done. "My apologies for misunderstanding." His expression softens, his eyes fall to Zhara. "To have such responsibility as this. It makes mine seem so small compared to yours." A sad smile formed on his lips as he looks back to the door. "You need not see to this responsibility alone. For I wish to help you, Zhara. I wish to lend my power to you. Help seal this door."

Zhara looked at him. Stunned. She shook her head and said “my pharaoh I can’t let you do that! You have the weight of the world on your shoulders! This is my duty as your shadow to protect you! I can’t let you be at risk of this kind of danger” she stumbled towards him, keeping one hand on the gate, she eyes wide with pain and fear. She wasn’t going to last much longer without his help. She was breaking. But she couldn’t let him down. She couldn’t fail him again.

[Jazz]

Atem was trying so hard to keep his composure. To no falter and cave. But this he would not and could cave and let Zhara do on her own. Her sould showed all and could not hide anything from him and this was the only way for her to live and thrive.

Walking to her, he knelt before her taking her face into his hands to caress with such softness and care. "Habibi(My Love)....it is alright. It does not make it wrong to let me help you. You have helped me bare my burdens since you have become my shadow." He moves a hand from her cheek to help her by her kneeling with him. That hand holding hers in his open palm while he looked at them.

"The world would be nothing without you both with the responsibility you have and my love for you. Let me do this so you may live."

Zhara looked at him, the tears starting to run down her cheeks as she lowered her gaze a moment then said “if you wish it…then it shall be done my pharaoh…I’m sorry I’m failing you again…”

[Jazz]

Atem shook his head as he brings her face to look at him. "Zhara. This is not just for what I wish. This must be for you too. If you want this, you must will it for this to succeed. This is your soul room. Your will is what keeps you going. This is where you fight for yourself. Not just for me. Show me and everyone what you want." He explains to her as he then places a gentle kiss on her forehead.

Zhara listened to him then she closed her eyes to his kiss. She felt a warmth from that kiss. One the spread thru her and she opened her eyes again, the fire back in them. “Let’s do this…together my pharaoh…” she tried to stand up, her soul shaking in his arms.

[Jazz]

Atem smiled, glad to see the fire in her eyes once more. He helps her to her feet. Looking to the door ahead of him, he takes a deep breathbefore reaching a hand to the door and resting his palm on the surface. With that he closes his eyes and lets his power flow to seal the door. Giving a little bit of extra power to Zhara so she may focus on helping herself recover.

Zhara held her hand out as well and the gate flashed gold and the gate seemed to seal with a gold light. The sounds of the monsters went quiet as the glowing faded and Zhara weakly. “It’s done…it’s finally quiet…” she held her head, looking shaky.

[Jazz]

Atem lowered his hand once the seal was placed and looked over to her to see she needed a break. He helped her sit down so she did not fall and placed a kiss on her temple. "You did well." He says into her hair. "Sadly I cannot linger here much longer. But if there anything I can do before I take my leave, I will do what I can to fulfill it."

Zhara smiled at him weakly and said “no I will be alright now. My soul just needs time to repair itself…” she rested a hand on his cheek and said “thank you for coming for me…it means a lot”

[Jazz]

He leaned into the touch on his cheek. "Of course. I will always be there for you." He assures while placing a hand on the hand on his cheek. "Now rest and recover. I sadly must leave." Resting his hearhead to her for a few before getting up to leave. His hand sliding from hers as he stood.

Zhara tried to get up, not wanting him to go and held out her hand partly. “Atem…I…” then she lowered her hand and her head, shaking as he vanished. “I don’t want to be alone…”

Bane was watching when Atem came out and asked “how did it go?”

Atem looked back to Zhara with a smile as he vanished. On waking up, he blinks some to readjust. The pharaoh looks up at Bane. "Her soul is has taken quite the hit. It will take some time for her to fully recover."

Bane nodded and said “I will aid in that. Now that I can sense again, I can handle that mess. She was handling the gate alone…she couldn’t alert me in her state” he rested a hand on Zharas head and said “she’s the strongest shadow I’ve ever had…”

[Jazz]

That was something Atem could agree on. "That she is. The door is sealed for the time being. When it will lose that seal is unknown. But it should do for now." He explains feeling his body relax while he realized how tired he was now. "It would be best I rest myself. Especially now that Zhara will recover." Atem stands from the chair. "I'll will try and see her after I have rested."

Bane nodded and said “rest well my pharaoh…I shall watch over my shadow for the time being”

The scene seemed to fade as the present Bane looked at Yami. “It seems we have more answers now…but I think we should stop here…you don’t look like your okay right now” he saw how pale Yami looked.

[Jazz]

Yami nods feeling tired. "You're probably right. Now that we have more answers I can sleep." He said before yawning. "I didn't expect this to take much out of me. So I take it if she is acting this way that the seal is eroding away?"

Bane nodded and said “that or your in very big trouble and her protective nature takes over” the dream faded and Yami was left alone in the room with Serena asleep next to him.

[Jazz]

He opened hie eyes long enough to realize that he was no longer in the dreamscape. Yami closed his eyes once more as he held Serena close to him. Not long after he fell asleep, feeling exhausted.

The next morning no one was up early with how the night had gone. Whoever was up first would hear cooking in the kitchen. Set was there making food while Hoth was at the table cutting up fruit. Both in aprons. Adam’s girly aprons.

Set was saying “I’m not sure this is going to be enough food…” Hoth said “relax brother, we can just make more as they wake”
