Notable Deeds:
Military Upbringing: Catherine was drafted into the military as soon as she was old enough to do so. She didn’t really have much choice in the matter as both her parents were Imperial Guardsmen as well. Like that, she raised as a soldier for as long as she can remember.
Survivor of Eskizara I: Just after she finished her basic training and was assigned to a regiment, she was send along with her squad to the backwater world of Eskizara I on a routine scouting mission. They fell under hostile fire as soon as they were on the ground. Their ship was destroyed, most of the other soldiers killed along with their commander. The survivors fled towards the old ruins on the planet. Following their retreat, the battle continued to rage for days, as Catherine along with the rest of her comrades were killed one by one. It turned out there were Eldar forces massing on the planet when they arrived. At the dawn of the second day on the planet, Catherine was the only survivor as the others were killed. Following her instincts, she took the rest of the grenades from her dead comrades, rigged the entire building she was in to explode when it’s breached and fled once more. Afterwards she waged guerilla warfare with the elder for 3 more days before reinforcements from the Imperial Guard arrived when her squad didn’t report in time. She took the Eldar Chaisword as a prize from one of the xeno she killed. She barely survived her wounds from that event.
The Battle of Burui V: Later in her career she participated in the clash with Dark Eldar forces. On the lasted world of Burui V, she along with her fellow guardsmen clashed with the Dark Eldar forces. After a long and bloody battle, both forces were forced to break off combat and disengage when the uncorrupted Eldar appeared. Afterwards luckily a three way battle didn’t occur for the Eldar had only appeared to fight their corrupted brethren. With the combined efforts of the Imperial guard and the Eldar forces, the Dark Eldar were rooted out of the planet.
Defeater of Wych: In the battle of Burui V, Catherine, engaged into a battle with a Dark Eldar Wych alone. After a long and painful struggle, showing surprising agility and skill with a sword, she defeated the enemy elite. Once again she nearly died from her wounds after that though.

Genetor Lartius Natta

Name: Lartius "Shredder" Natta

Equipment: Lartius much prefers live subjects for his 'research', and to this end his choice of weapons reflects this quite well.

- An Imperial Web Gun or 'Webber'.

- He armours himself in a suit of ceramite carapace plating which covers all the more 'exposed' areas, such as arms, thighs, shins, the torso and so on. As well as this, he protects his head with a pair of goggles, a triangular metal mask, and a covers all of it in the common crimson robes of the Adeptus Mechanicus; each piece/item has it's own purpose, whether it's obvious or otherwise.

- Medicae Mechadendrite; as useful for torture as it is for healing.

Time with Inquisitor: Within the Inquisition, quite some time, over three decades in fact; with Inquisitor Zhevron, only recently transferred to his retinue.

Appearance: The oddest thing about the way Lartius looks, unlike most of his more machine-like brethren, is that he looks perfectly human for all intents and purposes. Some could, and do, even say he looks a little too perfect; indeed, if one were to take a look at the 'person' that is behind the suit of carapace armour, the face behind the triangular mask and goggles which obscure his features, and beneath the fluttering red and hooded robes of the Adeptus Mechanicus, then they would find a being not only much like them but also superior in most respects.

Everything about the way that the one nicknamed 'Shredder' - due to his methods of dissecting his research subjects - looks is to emulate and mimic those of the humans around him. Everything, save the mechadendrite that writhes about beneath his robes, and is connected directly to his spine and nervous system, is in imitation of the Emperor's favoured children.

We begin with a head of chestnut brown hair, short in length and superficially no different from human hair, but within each strand of hair is a neural feed that acts much like the quills of the Kroot species; it gathers information from his surroundings - smells, vibrations, etc - constantly gathering data that is transformed into easily read binary-cant for his later analysis. Beneath his hair, and his eyebrows of similar colour, are two eyes of deep hazel - once again, these look for all purposes like perfect human eyes...they are of course not. Inside these eyes, long ago replacing his organic eyes, is a world of data, measurements, biometric readings and all manner of things which would swiftly overload the sensory organs of any average human. His mouth, with evenly set and brilliantly white teeth, is wholly organic, with only his tongue being full of tiny sensors; should he stick anything in his mouth, everything about it would be revealed. The slightly hooked nose...well...it's just a nose.

Moving down from his unerringly symmetrical face, layered with snow-white flesh - as is the rest of his body - we come to the torso and the most important parts of the Genetor. It is within this fleshy mould that he holds transplanted, grafted and exchanged organs, not unlike those of an Astartes but far weaker. For example, he would not be able to wear power armour as he does not possess a black carapace, nor can he spit acid, nor can he read the memories of others by eating them.

What he can do is digest most things, put himself or portions of his brain into a form of 'sleep/recharge' mode, endure substantial punishment to his 6' 2" frame because of his reinforced skeletal structure and that fact that both his arms and legs are bionic replacements covered in unmarked and living tissue. He can bleed, and he can even feel pain - although it registers more as a series of alerts and numbers than an actual feeling.

Hestia Pattern Skitarii Lasgun - The lasrifle of a fallen Skitarii soldier who had become somewhat close "friends" (relatively speaking) with a Aleph during the siege of the Forge World of Hestia. Aleph keeps this gun and the Skitarii's red cloak as mementoes from his first battle and states that it keeps him lucky. Some may argue that it's just BS, but given how far he's come, you can't help but say that there's something watching over him, Emperor or luck or otherwise.

Evil Sunz Ork Choppa - After breaking leaving his combat knife on a battlefield, Aleph uses a choppa that has been slightly modified for human use, the emblem of the Evil Sunz still visible as is the blood of the people and soldiers Aleph has killed with it.

Urulli Pattern Bolt Pistol - A weapon obtained through "questionable" means. Aleph will insist that he found it on an unfortunate commissar who was killed in the line of duty and decided to use it himself. Rumors within the 225th state that Aleph actually hunted down and killed said commissar for the bolt pistol. The Urulli Pattern version as more manageable recoil than normal but is only used by Aleph in the act of breaking locks and such due to his limited ammo supply for it.

Notable Deeds:

Penal Legion Veteran - He survived his sentence in a Penal Legion, need I say more? Aleph lived out his sentence of being in the 225th Penal Battalion facing more suicide mission and impossible odds than almost anyone else. He lacks any formal military training but clearly after his time he doesn't need any. He's charged more trenches, heretics, Ork and Tau than some Imperial Guardsmen will do in a life time. Needless to say, it changed him quite a bit.

Recklessly Brave - Stemming from his time in the 225th, Aleph is... reckless to say the least; combined with his cynical outlook on life and general empathetic attitude towards it, it leads him to do some pretty spectacular things and has an empathy of perceived "danger" on par with some Cachacan Jungle Fighters. Aleph is fearless with an iron resolve; many within the 225th state that Aleph would be the only man to ever run towards Tyranids if ever given the chance.

Bravely Reckless - While he will never openly or direct rebel against an order, don't expect him to do it the commander's way; at best he'll follow the general idea and a few steps. As stated above, his has an incredible apathy to "danger"; Aleph has no problem using a Flamer in heavy winds or powerful explosives in close quarters. One of his favorite stories involve him and a group of penals having to stop a wave of explosive squigs by literally tackling them and do what can only be described as a very, very violent cuddling exercise to force them into submission them, all done without orders. While these actions caused a number of casualities, Aleph attributes this event and its following Squig BBQ to the reason why he has a certain taste for Squiggly Bits.

Resourceful - Almost all of Aleph's equipment has been taken from somewhere, be it looted, salvaged, stolen or "borrowed". Some in the 225th have called him "Orky" given how his entire appearance looks like something an Ork would come up with but yet have it still be functional. His armor has bits from Imperial, Tau, Orks, and even a bit of Squigs.

Do or Die - Hardened from his time in the 225th, Aleph is willing to do anything to accomplish his own ends; on occasion they line up exactly with the orders of his superiors. Killing friendlies is just an "acceptable loss", using their bodies as a shield from enemy fire is simply "being creative" and letting 100 in one place die so 200 can live is "just business".

History:
Aleph was born on a Paradise World called Babel, famed for its space elevators and pleasure stations. What exactly happened to Aleph during his time on Babel is unknown but what is know is that at the age of 17, Aleph went on a murderous rampage in one of the pleasure stations for an unknown reason, even clashing with the local PDF until he was taken down by a veteran Guardsmen.

For his hideous crimes, he was sent to a penal world but was soon raised to be part of the 225th Penal Legion. Almost for the next 30 years, he's done his time in the 225th and survived through skill or through luck. He made many a friends in his time, but none of them survived outside the dog tags that Aleph has meticulously collected over the year. The reason he decided to persue a way into the Inquisition is for two reasons:
1) While not overly zealous personally, Aleph believes that it the Emperor who will guide the souls of his fallen comrades to a better place and protect them as he believes they deserve a second chance in a new life.
2) He hates the Imperial Guard with a passion after a platoon opened fired on the 225th without warning and for no reason, killing swathes of penal conscripts before acting all nice to the new batch of conscripts only to once again gun them down.

Appearance:
Aleph's outfit gives something reminiscent of an Imperial Guardsmen but clearly its not. His left shoulder sports a Tau Fire Warrior's pauldron, spray painted yellow and now wearing a stencil air-brushed Imperial Eagle on it. His right is a bit more mundane with a standard Guardsmen pauldron albeit reinforced with some checker patterned metal curtsey of an Ork who didn't need it anymore; same could be said for his shin guards which are just crudely extended from bits of Ork metal and even metal stripped from Imperial armor.

The standard issue flak armor has a layer of Squig leather to bolster it in a banded armor fashion. There's a rough "I" carved into the leather and bolded by blood which Aleph states as his own in reference to his new service to the Inquisition. In terms of head wear, Aleph either doesn't wear any or uses whatever can fit on his head meaning it can range from Guardsmen helmets to pots with additional metal plates for protection although he does seem to have acquired a Steel Legion gas mask which he usually has one him. One story he tells is how he actually ended up using the empty head of a Tyranid as a helmet but like most his stories, are just narcissistic rumors at best. On occasion, he will don the tattered red robe of a Skitarii he once knew, turned into a coat of plates through the use of the many dog tags of Aleph's fallen comrades.

Behind the armor is a man with hollowed eyes and a hardened heart, Aleph has been through more fights, bloodbaths, one-sided slaughters and last stands to give even the toughest Guardsmen nightmares, yet Aleph himself rarely suffers from such manners. His body as a whole however, should his wounds as a myriad of scars, cuts, bruises and holes are all about his body, shared with several prison and wartime tattoos. The prisoner branding bar code is still on the back of his neck. Standing at about 6ft 1in with broad shoulders with long dark brown hair and a brooding aura, you can immediately tell that Aleph has seen some shit without ever really getting to know him.

-What are the origins of the Orks? The Old Ones who created them to fight their wars against the Necrons I think; turns out their soldiers lived longer than their masters. The Eldar were also of this category.

Nickname: House of cards. She gained this name because the other marines said if she was a house of cards you still couldn't knock her down and also because of her armor's unique color scheme.

Equipment:

-Two modified bolters with increased magazine and fire rate. They were given to her as a gift from her old commander as he was dying that she later painted black with a blood read trim.

-A custom frost blade that is longer than normal and is named Agony. It is completely redesigned using sister of battle decorations for the hilt. When on it's blades generate heat and even create blue flames on the chain and body of the sword. When this happens it becomes super heated which allows it cut through heavy armor like butter. It is made of a realy strong material with a really high melting and freezing points to combat the heat and to keep it from melting and destroying itself. It is painted Black and stained with blood.

-A set of sisters power armor with the right arm and left leg painted blood red and the rest is painted black.

Notable Deeds:

-[battle of Tyranids] Ansiel has Ben in countless battles and has killed many enemies throughout them, but on one occasion the squad she had been fighting a horde of tyranadid's and her team had fallen and she was the only one left, that's when a large tyrandid attacked her. She had held it off with her bolters. And finally killed it with a shot to the head with one of her comrades plasma guns.

-[let the purging begin] In a valley her squad and her commander were stationed in a camp surveying the area, there had been sittings in the area and they were sent to cherch it out. They were in camp when they were attacked by heretics. They had killed most of her squad, but a few managed to escape, but her commander and another soldier were shot and bleeding out, she managed to well, play dead if you will. That's when her commander gave her the bolters before he died. She put them both in hand and said "let the purging begin" as she flanked and shot the heretics down.

-[it was worth it] Anisel tended to well, flirt... With the other sisters of war which most of the time got her in trouble. Every time she did this they would up the punishment. It started run three miles and after a short while it became do 1,000 push-ups. Getting wors every time she still didn't stop, she had to much pride. She would endure the punishments knowing all it would do is make her stronger. And she still does it to this very day.

-[play ball] Once in the field she had When battling Orcs. After killing many of them and them killing many of her comrades it seemed one of them got ahold of a crack grenade. When Anisel saw it grabbing it off of a fallen marine she pulled a metal pole out of the ground and prepared to swing. When the Orc threw the grenade she hit it back at it with a satisfying *tink* then a loud *boom* as she saw Orc giblets fly toward her. She had read about an old sport called base ball in a book once and she remembered something they said after they hit the ball with the pole. She said "Home run" making herself laugh al little.

-[the spoils of war] Anisel was traveling with her squad over an old war zone and she spotted a long dead marine with a snow blade sticking out of his chest, Emperor knows how it got there. So when her squad moved a little further she stayed behind and recovered the sword "no point it letting it sit there" she said to herself as she pulled it out she examined it and saw it had fractures all down the blade but it still had all the teeth, if she were to use it in its current state it would shatter. The she shouldered it and noticed around a dozen more teeth in the snow. She scooped them up in a pouch and cought up with her squad. Once back at base she almost completely remade it. She reforged the blade out of a really strong alloy that has a really high melting and freezing point and made it longer. She kept the teeth for the saw part and used the extra teeth she found since the blade was longer and needed more teeth for the saw. After that she added a superheating mechanism that also allowed her to set her blade on blue fire to allow it to cut even heavier armor. Then she redid the handle with decorations and straps that resembled the sisters of war and fitted a tiny metal skull as the butt of the sword and it turned out awesome. She liked to think of herself as handy.
