I think Adrianne's reaction is also perfectly reasonable.
When any member of the imperial forces draw a weapon against a sanctioned psyker, surely the natural assumption to make is that someone in the hierarchy has just revoked their sanctioned status, aka; made a kill order against you per Imperial way of doing stuff ^^
