Oh hi Silica. ...Which reminds me, I seem to have stopped reading those novels. I think Silica was the character I actually liked, too, but yeah.

Anyways, feeling better today so hopefully will have harpy girl written up... Soon-ish maybe but we'll see.

My fave is Sinon, by the way, I was really torn apart between a beast tamer pirate and a catgirl archer pirate, 'cause of that. To say the truth I still am.

Name: Charlotte "Char" Eavesburg

Age: 13

Abilities: Char learned to count coins before she could even walk, so she knows her way around money much better than an average person. She also had access to the best education that her father's money could buy, so she's quite learned, specially about politics, economics and trading. She also has a knack for employing roguish tactics, deceiving people with her looks and confusing them with her footwork, before finding the best place to strike.

Personality: Char is a happy go lucky girl with a love for adventure and a nearly endless curiosity about the world, one could say that seeing what lies beyond the next cloud is her purpose in life. Generally she's friendly, but she also has a haughty side that bubbles up whenever someone rubs her the wrong way. She hates low quality goods, be it foodstuff, underwear, or whatever and will spend extra money to make sure that the things she gets suit her tastes.

Bio: Char is the oldest between the two daughters of an important exotic goods trader that owns a considerable sized fleet. Despite loving to hear stories about the world from her tutors, Char never left her family's homeland until one day when she managed to steal a bag of gems and a magic dagger from her mansion's storage and stowed away one one of their spice shipments along with her pet dragon, Pico. after the ship where she was in was sacked by Melody's crew, Char's persistence as well as her high than average knowledge earned her a place in the Stormsong.

Other: Char has a magic dagger that has a chance of paralyzing anyone she hits. Her pet dragon can spew a stream of bubbles that burst upon hitting a surface, causing moderate damage and possibly confusing her foes, use magic to heal Char's wounds every once in a while and do a series of minor tricks like any house animal would do.

@KoL Jonathan's father was a wealthy merchant, just like Char's father was! I think it'd be cool to work that connection in somehow. Two sheltered rich kids off to become pirates. Though at least Char seems to have her head screwed on correctly.

@Strafe They could know one another, which is perhaps the reason why Char is a pirate now. After she caught wind of his deeds she thought about doing the same.

@KoL sure! Maybe not like childhood friends, but perhaps they had seen each other enough to recognize one another. I'd suppose Char also knows Caine (Jonathan's brother) and what happened to Jonathan's father as well.

I'll edit my post to play a bit on this.

Now now,I was thinking something. What would happen if I made a ninja secondary character? Would this bring trouble to Melody's ship?

I know someone who was actually considering doing a ninja character for this, actually, but I'll need to see if they're still interested. XD

Anyways... Gaaah ever get that thing where the only thing you have left to write is backstory but despite knowing basically what you want for it you just can't seem to get it down in words? Aaaaaaaaah.

Abilities:
Extremely agile and an accomplished climber who almost seems more at ease off his feet than standing on any deck. Useful with knives but he is brilliant with ropes from lariats to nets. Finally to save all from starvation, he puts those knives to far better use as ship chef.

Personality:
Childlike at all times he can muster, he tries to play the fool rather than risk the reality of their lifestyle. There are a thousand ways to die every day as a pirate, so every morning is worth a thousand thanks and a demand to live the day to the fullest minute.

Bio:
Son of a pirate, his mother was the master rigger of the ship and would keep him wrapped close as she worked the sails. He grew strong in the ropes and rafters for a decade until they came across a bard and his young apprentice who could sing so beautifuly that they took her from the performer as one of their own. He grew beside her for many years until his mother had to leave the ship for her health and he went with her.

In town, he apprenticed under a cook to pay the bills to keep his mother comfortable until she passed. Now 'free' once more, he was surprised to see the old ship dock but the crew roster had taken a decided turn to the left since he left, the siren of the sky had become the captain! Thinking he was one of the few who tried to treat her well, he hoped to take his mothers place in the rigging of the same ship she loved almost as much as him.

Haha, familiar looking characters abound!

And for what it's worth, I just decided to just look up pictures for my characters, so it's easier to get a gist of what they look like.

I also removed the part about Song having a bunch of small blades to clear up room for a ninja slot. Hopefully there's not too much overlap.

Just a bit of housekeeping.

I try very hard to use original art when I'm not drawing a character myself. ^^; Sometimes it doesn't work out though.

I don't mind ninja characters. Also, I'm thinking I might have Johnathan act as the ships representative captain. Meaning if there are meetings and such that people want me to attend, I'll just send Johnathan.

@Lvl Down I'd none does it before I have the time to, I'll do a ninja (but it seems you didn't got the joke, did you?). Why do pirates and ninjas must fight one another, anyway?

Oh no. Melody doesn't mind if people come after her. She actually enjoys it. (Most of the time) One of the actual purposes to send Johnathan is so that he can make these interesting relationships.
