@Desire No no. I like the idea, i was agreeing with you although i could have probably said it better. ;)
@Stormlight3 They would be directly under them and somewhat vertical, correct, but with the hunter ship tugging upwards it would be a somewhat slower decent than air fall. They would hit first but the Hunter ship would not have time to unlatch, turn course and stop their force downwards before hitting the ground. Albeit a lot softer than the Sundancer, probably still destroy both ships. If they're mechanical top of the line harpoons, I'm assuming they pierce in and then once they get in, the tip expands to clutch the ship. In theory, if there was a mechanism, you could unclench the tip and have it slip through the hole you made in the hull, effectively retrieving it.
