Ezerion was so bad at video games.
My character launched a quick succession of kicks, sending his flying across the screen. My health bar was still above 80%.
"Damn! I never manage to beat you," said the Shinigami. I shot him a sweet smile.
"Careful, Little Sis. If you keep that up, I just might kill you."
I stood. "You won't get to watch the little show I have planned if you do," I said.
With a tug, I had extracted my Death Note from its hiding place in my pillowcase. Slowly, a wide smile crept across my face; I was sick of waiting. It was time to use this tool to the fullest.
"Sounds fun. Fill me in."
I sat, notebook open on my lap. Its pages were blank, save for the first, which listed a mere six names. In an hour, it would be covered in ink.
"The plan is simple. 'Azrael' is going to kill a bunch of politicians. They will each leave notes demanding that the real L appear on TV, and threatening to wipe out the world leaders he doesn't. And, of course, each will leave Azrael's signature wings at the scene of their deaths. L will have no choice but to show himself, and even if he doesn't, Azrael will take the blame. And once I'm done, I'll just sit back and be a good girl for a while. I wouldn't want anyone to figure out 'Azrael's' schedule, after all."
Ezerion chuckled. "I like it. Everyone will panic. Glad you decided to stop being so boring, Little Sis."
I'd done my research, of course. Looked up a bunch of politicians from various countries using the computer in the school library using Yuki Tanabuchi's student ID. Even in the extremely unlikely event that someone noticed the searches, it wouldn't lead them directly to me.
"Time to begin!" I said, writing the first name. I gave each politician a violent death, as per Azrael's standards. Most of them sliced themselves up, leaving their notes to L on the wall in blood. On either side of the note was an angel's wing.
Tonight, the news was going to be interesting for a change.
