Angelo opened the door as he looked at the person who was calling himself light. If Angelo remembered correctly light was the only other student who Angelo could actually tolerate growing up, maybe it was because Angelo knew he was smart and most likely smarter then Angelo himself. Angelo stared at him for a few moments before he went over and gently moved lights hair to the side then it was like an epiphany he grew more hair since last time "light now I remember, it has been a while hasn't it? whats brought you over?" Angelo asked leaving the door open as a sign saying he was allowed to come in. Angelo had done his two killings for the day so he was free the rest of the day to catch up to his intellectual equal...

I stood there as the door flew open. It was none other than Angelo standing right before me. I passed him in the hallways most days but the last time we spoke seemed ancient. This moment felt a lot more awkward than it did when I first thought of coming over. No i can't let the moment stop me. There was a purpose for me being here and I have to fulfill that reason. I slowly walked into his house looking at everything and how it has changed over the years. "Angelo, I know it has been a while but there is something I need your opinion on." He said calmly. "Have you been following the Azrael killings?" I gently stated my question to him.

Soichiro Yagami walked into the Hotel room, "Sorry I'm late," He said, "I couldnt find Light so I had to look for him, but it seems like he is visiting a friend."

I stared at the screen of my computer which showed the room that they were in, "Fine, but be sure he comes next time." There was an edge to my voice I wasn't sure if they could hear through the computer. "So, lets get started."

Angelo smiled a little as he walked in and talked about Azrael wondering if Angelo had heard anything about it he turned to him and nodded "yeah brutal stuff, cant believe the ways these people are dying" Angelo said with fake concern as he walked to the kitchen and started to make some tea for both of them "why do you ask light?" Angelo asked wondering if he needed to write his name in the note next to make sure he doesn't find out anything...

I walked in and thought I saw him smiling when I mentioned the Azrael killings. It would be crazy to think he enjoyed them. But they were killings of criminals no matter how brutal. He could be a supporter of Azrael. Wait this was a friend he had not seen in a while so it was probably that these crimes brought an old friend back. Angelo was distant but once he was one of my close friends. I followed him into the kitchen and took a seat at the dinning room table. "Angelo you know since I was a kid I always wanted to be a master detective, right? Well I'v been following the Azrael crimes for practice in he future. Do you believe just because they are all brutal public executions mean they were all planned by the same person?"

Being a student was so boring.

I idly flipped the pages of one of the books I had selected, but it didn't seem to contain any useful information for my paper that I didn't have already. I sighed, resting my head on my table of choice and doing my best to drown out the chatter of the other students in the library. It took a real jerk of a professor to force us to use the school library instead of the internet!

"No luck, Eva?"

My eyes snapped open and I sat upright at a speed that clearly alarmed my questioner, a boy named Shinji who was in my class. I couldn't recall ever saying a word to him before! Why on earth was he asking me about my research? For a long moment, I simply stared.

"Why don't you talk to him, Little Sis? Feeling shy?" asked Ezerion.

This kid had to be a creep. That was the only explanation. I needed to find a way to get away from him, and fast.

"No," I said, my nervousness audible, "I'm about to give up go back home." Maybe I would write his name in the Death Note. It wouldn't be prudent, but I would not tolerate being stalked.

"Oh, okay," said Shinji, disappointment in his voice. He almost sounded hurt! "Want to research together tomorrow?"

I stood. "Sorry, I have to go," I said. I exited the room as quickly as I could, Ezerion's laughter following in my wake.

Angelo smiled at that and decided to tease him a little "of course not Watson!" Angelo said giving his best English accent as he got the two cups of tea and gave Light one as he took a sip and started to explain "Now Watson one must consider not the killings themselves but the targets. Azrael first started to target criminals that would have been put to jail or the death penalty like rape, murder, assault and so on. Suddenly though he has always left his signature of wings drawn in blood of the victim. however when politicians started to get killed using the same symbol the criminals started to claw wings into their backs before they died. This means that either Azrael is using two different signatures which is unlikely or that their is someone else killing." Angelo told him and he stopped his accent and looked at him then explained "light remember you weren't the only smart kid in class"

"Just as I thought Angelo." Began to say. It was true that Angelo was smart and he was a calm planner. In a head to head trivia battle I would come out ahead but there were still some things Angelo did have over me. Maybe he was able to see that much because of how cool he was about most situations. But.... it seemed he was a bit too cool well talking about human lives. Then again that is how a detective needed to think if he was going to see the honest truth. "Next I was going to ask you if killing the politicians was like Azrael's pattern. I came here to ask you if the politicans was within Azrael's moral compass. But your way of looking at it was also quite clever,sherlock."

I try Watson" Angelo said smiling at him as he took a sip of his tea to relax and think it out more and after a few moments of contemplation he answered "Politicians aren't Azrael's prey as far as I can tell. Think of it in a sense of an animal in the wild, Azrael is a tiger and as such would be a carnivore and if you consider criminals to be meat and politicians vegies then Azrael wouldn't bother with politicians. So far Azrael is chasing after criminals and unless a politician got caught smuggling or trading weapons illegally stuff like that he wouldn't be gunning for them. Azrael seems to have a single mindset to go after criminals that have done wrong enough to be convicted or put through the death penalty" Angelo said calmly thinking that being calm and giving an explanation would help light understand that Angelo as Azrael has no interest in politicians without saying so. Angelo gave a good explanation and hopefully it would be enough to figure it out.

"Well, friends, it seems there are multiple killers in this event." I stated through the mic, "Azrael seems to have abandoned his old signature for something new, Either that or his interests suddenly changed. Politicians are dying under his old signature and criminals have resumed dying but under a new signature. It is possible that Azrael found it a disgrace that somebody else was killing under his name, or he could simply be doing this to confuse us and lead us off his trail. Either way, I suspect that he is based in Japan. Although my bait failed, Liam died later that day, quietly, without leaving Azrael's signature wings. He wrote a note that decoded to the statement: L, Azrael's not alone. This shows that at least one other person is killing people using the same method, possibly somebody close to Azrael that learned from him. Such ends my observations, questions?"

"That is what I also figured. There has to be multiple people with Azrael's ability. " I said. It appears to me that Angelo who was brilliant as most people in the world got. Did put an extensive amount of thought behind this case already. However asking him why might be a bad idea right now. I had no idea why but I felt it in my gut not to press his reason for involving himself in this matter. "You know if Azrael's ability to kill can be gained by anyone then either the world will erupt in chaos because a bunch of telepath's are gaining the same power he started with. Either that or there is some weapon he has to carry out these killings."

As soon as I was safe inside my apartment, I threw myself onto my bed. I was so, so tempted to write that creep's name in my Death Note, but that was a terrible idea. No, I would have to take out my rage on someone else instead.

I flicked on the TV and scanned through a bunch of international new channels. Judging by the lack of related coverage, L had still not shown himself. Apparently, he was unphased even by the slaughtering of innocents. Fine. This time, my targets would be the leaders of small nations.

A few minutes on the internet was all it took me to find the names and faces of the leaders of four small countries scattered all over the globe. I wrote down their names, inflicting death in the usual fashion; violently, and leaving wings in their wake. However, this time, I included a message as well.

"L appears or the world drowns in chaos."

Ezerion chuckled. "If L doesn't react to this, he's just as bad as you are, Little Sis."

True enough the way he is able to carry out the killings is a mystery. I only wish I was able to join the people who are going to bring him down, that will be a historic day" Angelo said to him as he drank more of his tea "don't let your tea get cold" Angelo said softly as he relaxed drinking some tea with an old friend he considered his equal but he was still if he got his way he would become the bane of Azrael future but for the time being Angelo will not do anything against him...

"Yeah that's for sure." I said to my friend as I picked up my cup of tea. "All I know about the task force that is hunting down this Azrael character is that supposedly L, is in charge of it. " I said without thinking. "Imagine if someone known as the world's great detective spent all day hunting you down. "I chuckled. "I'm sure I'll catch up to L one day. When I actually do succeed in becoming a detective." I sad while taking another sip of tea. "

Who knows, we all have untapped potential and maybe someday you will be even better then L" Angelo said smiling thinking that his friend was oblivious in the idea that Angelo could be Azrael which was good otherwise he would need to write his name down. It seems that L is all Angelo has to go on in terms of his name and if Angelo cant get inside the Interpol task force it would be unlikely that Azrael will ever kill him, even with the eyes Angelo would need to actually see his face before killing him unless he sent his Shinigami after him but Angelo doesn't know how that will work if he ends up dying on Angelo...

~~~6:00 AM Friday~~~
The next day came with the announcements of the deaths of the leaders of a few small countries, all of them leaving the new killers stolen signature blood wings. This troubled me, it seemed like they would keep their end of the deal if I didn't show up on TV. I decided that there was only one thing to do.

~~One Hour Later~~

"Soichiro, I need you to come in with Light. I have a plan but you two need to help. Be here in an hour."

"Light!" Soichiro yelled up the stairs of his home, "You're going to miss school today." The man then stood at the bottom of the stairs waiting for his son.

I sat and listened as the man named L rambled on about his thoughts. He WAS right, but I just couldn't care less about it. I only needed to see this "Light" boy's face and I could make this task force go through hell and back. Tomorrow I'll do something interesting, I thought, We'll see how good this L character is.

~~5:00 AM, Friday~~
Today is my day, today I make myself known. I got out of the bed that was in the corner of my Living-Room and sat in the chair at the desk I used for college homework. I thought of maybe killing that girl Eva from my Economics class, that would sure stir up some pandemonium. I decided that instead of killing her, I'd kill the girl that sat next to her in Economics. Free up a seat so I could talk to her, she seemed a little shy - more so than usual.
[color=black]Hikari Kenkeke, 7:00 AM Friday. On her way to school, writes a note that says:
Please make this end,
All my friends hate me,
Nobody wants to talk to me anymore,
Don't miss me,
Only I can set things right,
Remember me,
Adieu to all those who love me.
then finds a 6 inch shard of glass and thrusts it into her throat, crumpling up the note in her other hand. just before dying she whispers the names of 3 random greek deities to anybody nearby.
~~10:00 AM, Friday~~
I walked into the Economics classroom to see the empty seat next to Eva, then I noticed her name. It was Semi-blurry and her Lifespan wasn't beneath it. She has one, but which one is she? Azrael or his imposter/stalker? I sat in the seat next to her, hoping she didn't have the eyes too. "Hey Eva! I'm Mizuku but you can call me Mizu."

As my eyes landed on the new girl sitting next to me, my heart sank.

What the hell is this? I can't see her lifespan...

Ezerion threw his head back in a roar of laughter, his amusement only further irritating me.

I didn't bother asking how this girl - this Mizu - knew my name. Everyone knew it. Instead, I simply asked, "Do you have some business with me?"

Ezerion crept up to me and whispered into my ear, his secrecy pointless since no one else could hear him anyway."Little Sis... I didn't tell you this before, because I didn't think you'd encounter another, but if you can't see the lifespan of a human, that means they also own a Death Note."

My eyes widened and I felt my blood run cold.

This had to be Azrael! If she had the eyes, she knew who I was, too... she knew I was impersonating her. Was I about to die?

No. I forced myself to control my breath. If this girl had wanted me dead, she would have already killed me.

I smiled unconvincingly. "Sorry," I said, "I just learned something about you. Nice to meet you."

[Near]

Chernabog looked over seemingly into the distance, "Hey Ezerion, long time no see!" he chuckled a little. "It's nice to meet you too." I said as I pulled a piece of the death note out of my pocket and handed it to her. I had prepared this for if I ever met Azrael or his impostor. It said "Are you Azrael? Pass me a scrap of yours so I can see your Shinigami."

Ezerion glanced at the piece of paper I had just received and looked up at the demonic creature that had just appeared to me. I bit my lip nervously as I beheld it. Who knew how long it had been here, watching me? "There's more than two of us down here? Know who the other is, Chernabog?" he asked.

His query wasn't important to me, at least not as important as dealing with Mizu. She had asked if I was Azrael... that meant she was not, or she was trying to deceive me. In either case, my problems had just become more severe.

I had no choice. I extracted a small sheet of paper - a piece of the Death Note - from the pocket hidden within my sleeve. I wrote "no" on it and handed it to Mizu.
