You are surprised to find a small stout man sitting on your windowsill, the curtains flapping behind him as he slowly sips his tea. What a peculiar little man, his cheeks rosy and his eyes pure grey. What could this man want with you in your darkest hour?

What ever you desire most can be yours, for your help in return, few favors are not much to ask for the world.
Return your sick mother to full health, wealth, power, revenge on your enemies, or even love.

I'll give you one year till I cash in your first favor.
After one year you find the same friendly faced holing sitting on your window sill. "Time to cash out kiddie, welcome to my 'task force'."

Characters now are able to see the darkness that consumes people's spirits, a black oozing shadow that preys on the weak. The energy in these creatures is what the 'stout man' feeds upon. Your task is to slay these creatures for the 'stout man'.
If you refuse? Or fail at your job? You become one of them.
