A native of St. Portwell some people have great lives, and Maxine's was no different. Up until her mother died of a heart attack, and her father married some tramp in her place and literally stopped caring about her. She became a bit of a rebel in school, and getting herself in all sorts of trouble in order to get her father's attention. She even got arrested a couple times. Yet, he barely paid her any mind. He had enough of her and arranged for her to be sent to the Copperworth Academy in order to get her out of his hair and attempt to straighten her out. Boy was he wrong. She immediately fell into the wrong crowd, and got a few contacts in order to get her some drugs. Which she happily distributes to the students. However, recently, she discovered that she has powers after shaking hands with one of her customers and shooting fire and smoke out of her hands. She believed that she caught the power from him.
Power:
Element Replication.
Powers work very similarly to eachother, in theory. She has the power to copy a part of another Mutant's power, and give her access to a range of basic element-bending abilities. However, it isn't totally mirroring their ability, think of it more of copying the element they use. She'll get her own set of abilities. For example, if she touches a water-bender, then she'll have a similar ability, except with her own tricks. Say, if she touches someone that can enter mirrors, then she'll get the ability to control mirrors. If someone has super breath, then she'll get air manipulation. Thus, Maxine has the potential to become the fuckin' Avatar. This power runs off a fuel, and she has to absorb more of the element she's using in order for the power to continue function (If she's using water, then she'll need to absorb water. Same with earth, fire, etc, etc.). The bigger the feat, the more she'll need to absorb. Maxine is also capable of transforming into her element. Whether it's turning into fire for a few seconds, or turning into stone. Maxine can store memories of powers she used before inside of herself. She is limited to one power at a time, and in order for her to switch power, she would need to absorb some of said element.
- Smoke & Fire Manipulation.A blend of two different elements, Maxine is capable of freely secreting and manipulating Fire and Smoke. Two closely related elements (One creates the other). Most of the time it's a combination of both elements, as she can shoot balls of fire and smoke at high velocity in order to impact foes. Alternatively, she can shoot fire off like a flamethrower, or create a smoke-screen. She's also capable of creating grenades of fire and smoke that explode when she times it, or missiles that explode. Technically, Maxine is a shapeshifer, because she can turn into fire and smoke for a few moments in a burst of speed, becoming intangible. A smoke-dash. This allows her to dodge attacks, or easily retreat. While she's in smoke-form, she cannot control either element until she's back in human form.

In the beginning of his teen years he discovered his problem and adjusted accordingly, embracing his transgender nature. Needless to say this brought on more bullying, adding more stress to Ehster's life. Ehster didn't care much though, finally comfortable with himself. Recently his power awoke, giving him something to fight bullies back with.

Born in Oregon, Jonathan was a strange kid who was always lazy in academic, athletic and social endeavors who always complained of it being too much of a hassle to 'try' preferring to listen to music and be lost in his own thoughts. He didn't seem like a kid who really cared about his life to most people however, in tests and activities that were forced on him he got near perfect scores for tests and preforming proficiently in sports when needed. Causing confusion on how this lazy kid was even doing this good without cheating by some way, and so repeated testing latter proved that he had an staggering IQ 130. However, his laziness to use his intelligence hinders him from using it to the fullest and probably never will be. In order to not be kicked out of school, he kept his grades to a minimum of a 2.5 grade point average and went got involved with a sport in school.
With his reputation of being lazy and joining a team in Sophomore year made it hard for people to trust him with the ball during games, but he didn't care. If he was given the ball he just sent it back to another teammate that was had a opening or slip through a crack in their defense. He was a strategic player, who while having a laughable amount of physical prowess he managed to outwit the enemy team which even things out with various techniques. While he was in many sports, he ditched most of them for Soccer as it was the easiest sport that he could join without being laughed at, and it suited his style of play. During these games, he started to notice the awakening of his powers as he could predict his opponents moves and re-position to counter their move.
However, his social life was still quite empty with Jonathan mostly hanging out by himself when he's not talking with his soccer teammates but he knows many people of the school. More or less as acquaintances, he is a loner/floater type who hangs out with himself most of the times, while at other times hangs out infrequently with different groups. To those who he consider his friends are only a handful who are close to him, and he hangs out with them most of the time following them and interacting with people they know. Despite this he doesn't mind as he always have earphones in his ears. Those who are friends with him know that while he doesn't seem like it, he has a very curious and likes to investigate things that he finds curious to himself or suspicious.
Little of anyone knows what of his dating life, and refuses anyone who asks him out before putting distance between them and him. People have decided to not ask Jonathan out but that didn't stop them trying to be friends with him, which he stubbornly refused at first but those who stuck with him turned into a close friend of his. However, when asked why he doesn't date he simply shrugs inconspicuously as he continues on casually.

Calculative Playmaking- Jonathan has the ability to read the movement of people in front of him allowing him to counteract with his own play, how he does this is by supernatural means. In more scientific explanation, Jonathan is able to see the movement of his opponents by noticing the movement of the muscles of his opponent to a fine point that he is able to predict where they are going. Under extended concentration, he can fall into a trance where his mind can make prediction based on on variables what his opponents are doing and calculate what their next plan of action is. However, all these predictions are only 'predictions' of what might happen and so if he faced a person with enough physical prowess they can evade this ability. Same could be said for a magical ability that might interfere with the prediction ability of his as Jonathan's ability doesn't count their supernatural ability into the equation until his opponents use it.

Vincent, or also know as Vince was a new guy to Copperworth and attracted the attention of both the upperclassman and underclassman for having a new peer who wasn't from Oregon at all. He came to this school during his year as a Sophomore who caught the eyes of many people. Joining the school, he was a flirtatious guy who made many friends and flirted with many of them with no discrimination. Whether they were guys or girls, he always playfully flirted with them but despite this they still were friends with him. He held a good bond with them and was part of a sports team as well, being on the Volleyball Team for fun and was actually decent as a setter. The only other sport he rarely played was Water Polo for a short time before quitting it due to not having much time with Volleyball.
Outside his Athletic Life, Vince was a popular guy with mostly everyone and his dating life surprised many of his friends when they discovered it. He was often thought to be a guy who dating girls as he always flirted with them casually and everyone was use to it, but they were surprised when they discovered he dated both guys and girls. However, it was no surprised with him that he would date guys as Vince was open and outgoing with everything; always trying things at least once before saying 'no'. Despite having a very busy life with him and his friends plus sports, he managed to always hold a decent B average grade point amazingly.
At home, Vincent doesn't talk much about his family nor does he invite people over at all making various excuses to why they cant go or alternative suggestions. However, one time his friends went to his house once despite him saying no, and his parents were surprised but fine yet the next day he came to school with some bruises but made an lame excuse for it. After that his friends took the hint of not going to his house, agreeing to Vince's wishes of everyone keeping away from his house. Once, at a school event both his dad and mom were energetic and playful with the other teenagers and parents even talking to some of them casually. But besides that no one often else sees what happens in Vincent's house but its said that he does have an older brother and a younger sister who goes to another school.

The first part of his special ability is that he holds a supernatural appearance of beauty that is very unnatural and rare. Despite all odds his appearance will remain generally the same, as even when covered in dirt and grime he manages to pull it off somehow. The second half of his ability has only been active ever since his 15th birthday of which when he talks to people, his words tempts them to doing what he wants them to do, while effecting their minds by gently stimulating pleasure in small addicting amounts like drugs. In minutes he could make a stranger become his friend and help him. While with more with practicing and power he could make people his best friend and upon even longer exposure could make them feel that he is privileged to do it and even be admired for doing so. During these time, he could always have them perform small suggestions that he gave them as long as it didn’t go against their deepest beliefs. After so much exposure to Vince it is possible for those who are near him the longest to lose most of their free-will and do anything to please him.

Backstory: The first-born son of first-generation immigrant parents, Adrian is not a native of the state of Oregon. He was born in Los Angles, California, where his parents had the unfortunate circumstance of living in a rather poor district within the city. Adrian's parents were no strangers to poverty, having experienced much the same in lower-class China, but life was hard for them all the same. His father working two jobs and his mother working one as well just to keep bread on the table, Adrian has seen the arduous effort that his parents have put into providing for him and is determined to pay them back for their back-breaking labor.
He buried himself into his school work, neglecting social endeavors in favor of increasing his class rank. Adrian soon rose to the top of his class, surpassing his fellow students with ease and out-pacing the provided material weeks in advance. The principle of his school so impressed with Adrian's seeming unconquerable drive to succeed, she understood that this top student had nothing left to learn at her school. Without his knowledge, the principle wrote a recommendation letter to a close friend of hers, a certain headmaster of a prestigious private school in Oregon, and near-begged him to offer Adrian a full-ride to their academic institution.
It took until the end of Adrian's sophomore year, but the school finally yielded to the principle's request and sent Adrian an invitation to attend their academy. Though it was a great distance away, Adrian's parents fully supported the idea. With his parent's approval, the teenager packed up his meager possessions and boarded a flight to Oregon on his own. Rooming on location, Adrian is bound and determined to honor his parents faith in him at this new school.
Notes: Adrian has yet to discover his power. However, it will manifest should he put in a dangerous situation.

Daughter of a rich scientist and owner of a company known as the Baozai Pharmaceutical Company, Lin Baozai was the oldest among a group of three sisters (Four, since her father also fathered a bastard daughter). She had everything she ever needed, and more. A life of comfort that was unheard of. Yet, her father pushed her to be the best. To have the best morals, to be the smartest, to be the most athletic. Whether she liked it or not. Which immediately put the idea in her head that she had to be that way, or she'd be worthless. This mindset continued throughout her life, which caused a rift between her sisters (Who weren't as "pushed", I could say). Eventually, once she was old enough, her father flew her from the East coast to the West in order for her to attend the Copperworth Academy in Oregon. She felt relieved, without her father bearing down on her, she was free to relax. Yet, she knew her father would be disappointed if she didn't get the best grades. However, recently, she's been hearing things... things she shouldn't know....

Telepathic Shape-Shifting.
Lin Baozai has a telepathic ability, the basic mind read-y business. She can do the basic techniques of reading surface and innermost thoughts, sending thoughts of her own, mental attacks on others, defend herself from mental intrusion (She will always know if someone's trying to get into her mind), etc, etc. This telepathy gives her a people-sense, allowing her to know exactly where people are in a twenty foot range, and the ability to freely access their minds. She can focus a bit, and with a bit of effort, extend the range. The most she has extended this range was fifty-feet. This is only the first step to another ability. Lin has a side of shapeshifting, that uses her telepathy to gain new forms. If someone thinks of a person, animal, or object, Lin can perfectly shape-shift into it. Limited only by the laws of mass conservation and by the fact that it must be real. If Lin shape-shifts into an object or animal, she will have all their abilities/traits/whatever. She can assume past forms long as she remembers them. There's plenty of customization for her shape-shifting. She can change features such as skin/hair/eye color, facial features, add things such as tattoos and scars, change genders, and false wounds - Regardless of what form she is currently in. Born in Jamaica, Tanya was the daughter of a reggae-rap duo known as Smokey Summers. They were rather popular in Jamaica, and America. They often went to the states in order to record songs, preform live, handle business with record companies, or just hang out with their musician friend. They brought Tanya along most of the time in order to keep her from developing emotional problems from the lack of love and attention from her parents. In fact, they intended on raising Tanya to be the third member of their band. She was given singing, and guitar, lessons from teachers, and her parents, and was encouraged to explore her creative side. The lessons paid off, and she was proving to have inherited her parents musical talents. Now, they figured that she could use a solid education, as well as a place for her to develop her musical skills. So, Tanya was shipped off to the Copperworth Academy, and remained there for a couple years.

The Bird of Paradise.
To summarize, this power is basically Avian Physiology and Aerokinesis mashed together. Tanya has the ability to transform into a bird-human hybrid with an appearance similar to harpies. Meaning, primarily, her arms and legs will be transforming. Her arms will morph into fifteen-feet long wings, with massive feathers. I should note that she won't have any hands in this state, but Tanya's wings will be flexible enough for her to grab things. Her legs will similarly be covered in variously colored feathers, but she'll have four large talons on her feet, and her legs will be covered in rough, black, keeled, scales. These talons are very strong, and capable of grabbing objects. A kick from her would not be great. There are feathers and scales in other parts of Tanya body. A unique feature of these feathers is that they're glowing their color, and are razor sharp, so running your hand through them will not be great. Now, the first ability this grants - flight - is obvious, but works in a different way than you'd expect. Instead of flapping her wings, she's capable of a more supernatural flight that's assisted by the aforementioned Aerokinesis. She can do everything you'd expect a flier to do, but she can hover in the air. While in the air, she's incredibly fast and agile. Capable of complex aerials maneuvers and outrunning everything on the ground. Now, I have to cover the aerokinetic aspects. Tanya has a limited control over air (Or more accurately, wind) using her wings. To put it in simple terms, a strong flap of her wings and send a gust of air that'll send the unprepared flying. She can control the force and size of these blasts. She can use this power in order to give herself a burst of speed in any direction. The final ability that Tanya has is that she can fire off her razor-sharp feathers at high-speeds like daggers using her aerokinesis to put uumph behind it. While they don't have the weight or density to really penetrate anything armored, they can give someone a nice cut.

His childhood consisted of moving around, moving to new towns occasionally. He was usually bullied for not attaining social skills due to his parents frequent change of jobs and moving to the areas of said jobs. He would always try to run away from the bullies, sometimes he would get away but he would normally get caught and get beaten. His parents were always busy with work, so he was a tad neglected and hence he became independent, learning household skills fairly quickly.
His highschool life was relatively better than his childhood life, not popular but the bullying was lessened to a great degree. He is fairly intelligent, and so did not have much trouble with studies. He also joined track club, getting used to running from his earlier life, and frankly, enjoyed it. He was also gaining friends, and close ones. He was happy for a time, until his parents had to move again, and begrudgingly let his newfound friends go. He soon moved to a town in Oregon called St. Portwell, and was applied to Coppersworth academy.

Miller's ability is his enhanced speed, it awakened one day and he noticed that he could run, really fast, not to the point of breaking the sound barrier or anything but his speed was notable. Miller does not know his top speed, only recently gaining his awakened power. The power does not come without disadvantages, prolonged usage will gravely affect his underdeveloped physique, and cause greater strain on his muscles and bones. It also causes him to run out of energy quickly, as running at his top speed causes his metabolism to run rampant and consume all of the energy his body preserves. Meaning after lengthened use of his enhanced speed, he WILL need to eat alot to regain his energy, and if he doesn't it might cause him to faint or worse.

Backstory: Angus was born to an Irish American family living in New Orleans Louisiana and he was proud to be a member of the culture. His time in school was good and he made lots of friends, but one day his father came to tell him that he had gotten a better job in a town called St. Portwell in Oregon. Angus hated it and begged his family to not move, but it was useless and within nine months they were completely moved out and living in St. Portwell. With the new high paying job that his father acquired Angus was able to attend Copperworth Academy.
He hated being at the academy at first, people were so stuck up and intellectually snobby especially when they laughed at his southern accent and used insults like Hick to get on his nerves. Things seemed to going bad, but then he discovered his powers when he sneezed at a park and blew apart several objects around him. From then on he worked to control his powers as much as possible.
Power: Angus' power is an extremely powerful superhuman breath attack. Basically by breathing out like a normal human being Angus can level large amounts of objects with extremely powerful winds that vibrate through structures causing them to shatter. A tiny exhale of air can knock people away for several feet and it is unknown how powerful his lungs can become if he unleashes his full potential. Because of this power Angus only needs to inhale once every four hours and has to slowly exhale over the course so that his power doesn't accidently blast things apart, this makes him have to be very quite and not shout for fear of what could happen. Because his lungs are so powerful his body is able to process air at an insanely high rate and thus has far greater stamina than an Olympic athlete.

Backstory: Sara had a rather uninteresting and average childhood--growing up in the rural Oregon town of Saint Portland. She has a large heart and an open mind, always tending to be caring and kind to those who surround her. However, the only truly notable thing about her is that Sara has always had an interest for spirits, astral planes, and the Spirit World itself. She had spent a large portion of her early years researching spirituality and if it were possible for humans to ever to communicate or reach these places. Throughout her first two years of high school, Sara made honor roll every nine weeks and aced any test a teacher placed in front of her. Her family could not deny her intelligence and at the age of 16, pulled Sara out of High School and sent her to Copperworth Academy--which made Sara quite content as there was a club about Spirituality at the academy. The age of 18 was when she discovered the ability of Astral Projection--which allowed her to project her spirit while her body was in a trance-like state. While in this state, her spirit has the ability of flight and she tends watch others secretly in her invisible observant state.
