The most advanced tech is your typical Renaissance-style firearms and maybe some cannons. That's about it in terms of things the players have control over. And it's not exactly "typical medieval" per se but more like "abandoned village in the middle of nowhere".

No items from the outside world are permitted in the World of Wasted Dreams. All that will be allowed are the literal clothes on your back. Your character will be given supplies on the first IC post. At that point, I trust everyone will pick fair weapons to start off with and cool new Hunter clothes too.

Just to clarify, each character has a history. How vague or explanatory you want it to be is up to you, though it must include mention or reference of a hospital in some way.

Yeah, when I said that you'll be given your supplies in the first IC post, that basically means your character gets to customize. Kind of like a certain game series that this RP is totally not based on...

In any case, I'm putting some trust on you guys to not make some ridiculously OP weapon.

Not magical, just expensive to make and hinting to regality of some sort.

Also: What is the policy on multiple characters, since the OOC has 20 openings...

I'm just going to 'out with it'. I wanted to make a runaway duke of sorts who (I don't know enough about the plot or how to combat amnesia through pre-character building) came to the land with relatively standard gear for all practical purposes.

I just wanted to play Dad-guy. :T

Er, your character doesn't "have" any gear. They get their gear from the Church they start out in. The only thing they should "have" is the clothes they have on their backs before they were sucked into the World of Wasted Dreams. Unless I've just misread this entire conversation? In which case, what exactly do you mean?

I should also mention that the real world from which your characters originate from takes place in a modern time setting. Apologies if I didn't make that more clear; I've added that bit in the OOC.
