Lives in Irvine, CA; visiting family in Verthaven and staying in University Row
Appearance
Hair Color:
Dark brown
Eye Color:
Dark brown
Ethnicity:
Korean
Physical Appearance:
Tanner has a slightly-oblong, round face with a defined, rounded chin. His eyes look somewhat tired, with the top lid drooping a bit, and he has a straight nose, speckled on the tip with blackheads. Tanner has thin lips and wears retainers (he just got off braces). He likes to smile (he actually read that smiling is better for you and decreases anxiety). He has long hair for a guy, and an especially long bang that he combs over his right eye (and brushes out of the way when painting. The back of his hair reaches down to the middle of his neck. (Holly sometimes jokes that he looks like a K-pop star.)
Tanner is lean and athletic from his routine tennis-playing. His legs and arms are proportional, albeit somewhat thin and toned. He isn’t really broad-shouldered. Tanner hides any fat with his clothing, and prefers not to discuss the subject of fat as it is a distraction from what really matters in life. (And what, exactly, is that? Who knows?) He has good posture; habitually, he likes to stand up and sit up straight. In addition, he owns an artist’s desk slanted at the correct angle, so he has little need to worry about hunching over while drawing. Tanner walks with his chest out and his shoulders relaxed.
Attire:
Tanner usually wears shorts and a T-shirt (because they’re comfy and easy to wear). Typically, he also wears a sweater tied around his waist for easy access whenever he needs it. (Apparently it isn’t exactly a fashion statement; then again, Tanner’s understanding of aesthetics extends only to the realm of visual media.) Tanner has white tennis shoes stained with the brick red of the court, and he generally wears white socks. Tanner tends to dress in block colors; his shorts will match his shirt. (This leads to some color clash with his sweater...)
Personality
Innate & Outward Personality:
Tanner is kind and gentle, although he is also somewhat reserved. He is generally very clean, although when he does crack a dirty joke, he only does so if he thinks it's really funny (eliciting either surprised hysteria or shock and horror from his peers). Tanner is also polite, and tries to look for the best in everyone. Of course, he's not perfectly polite all the time and might slip in a bad mood. Usually he catches himself and apologizes.
Tanner tends to have an optimistic outlook, though he does take into account reality. If spurred into a bout of passion, he will express himself more openly than he normally does, both verbally and visually, through his art. Of course, this may lead to him letting slip some things that might be best left un-slipped.
Internally, he feels somewhat anxious and nervous, even oppressed. Tanner has an attraction to other boys. However, because he lives in a fairly socially-conservative environment in the Orange County, Tanner feels unable to safely release his feelings, thoughts, and emotions to his peers. He struggles with his inability to openly express his homosexuality to his peers, except to close friends who share his worldview (and, of course, to his sister). He has 2 tumblr blogs, one for his art, and the other to reblog more poignant posts that he agrees with. He tries to put on a brave face in public, but lying under his polite air is tension that begs for cathartic release. He seeks his arts and hobbies as an escape from his nervousness.
Hobbies/Interests:
ART. Tanner loves art and gushes about all kinds of art, from classical to pop art to concept art, to the point which small-but-effective design implements excite him. He is an exceptional painter and works primarily with wet media and pencil. He studies classical technique in his free time, though he has yet to perfect it (far from it, actually). Tanner loves visiting galleries and museums; the Getty is always a treat for him. (Normally he studies techniques and styles while Holly prattles about symbols and historical periods and whatnot.)
Tanner also likes to play video games, though unlike his sister (the English-language-geek), he plays them for fun while she analyzes like everything. He doesn't mind; he's actually impressed that Holly can find themes and messages in audiovisual interactive entertainment. He's decent at Mario Kart (though not a god like Ratchet) and likes using Metal Mario (however he is somewhat miffed that they removed Wiggler after Mario Kart 7). He's better, however, at Super Smash Bros., and mains Robin and Duck Hunt. He's also fantastic at Mario Tennis, but nobody he knows plays that. (He also likes using Metal Mario in Open.)
Speaking of tennis, Tanner plays casually, and he isn't half-bad. He mostly does it to stay in shape, and often to clear his mind to allow inspiration to take the place of anxiety. He’s perfectly capable of winning a game, though he is certainly far from a pro or an ace or whatever. Tanner, however, generally does not like other sports.
Skills/Talents:
Tanner is an excellent artist for a fifteen-year-old, and likes to show his work on deviantArt and tumblr. (His Instagram is mostly for WIPs.) He can quickly pick up the basics of new styles (on the other hand, it takes him some time to master them), and even has knowledge of working with 3-D models (at least in Blender, because Maya is FRICKIN’ EXPENSIVE) and digital painting (he does have Photoshop CS6, lucky dog).
In addition, Tanner practices the alto saxophone on his own (not caring to join a school band due to the generally-unsavory fare of the Common North-American Saxophone Section {Aerophonus badbehaviorus}, though of course this is a fairly unfortunate stereotype of sax sections), and has some knowledge of music theory. (Holly is the one who goaded him into learning to play the thing; he can't say he doesn't enjoy it, and he often does sax-trombone duets with her.)
Prized Possession:
A paintbrush given to him on his 10th birthday.
Quote(s):
"Oh, God, the proportions are all wrong!" "No, that is NOT how breasts work! I can't believe I'm looking at this crap on deviantArt!” “Ack! My old drawings! Kill ‘em with fire!" "Art is a skill of practice. You gotta keep doing it to get good."
History/Bio:
Tanner Park was born on March 23, 2000, to Sanford and Giana Park. One of two twins, Tanner was kind of the quiet one, though he did develop social outgoingness over the course of his life. (In his own quiet way, of course.) Tanner lived in Irvine, CA for most of his life, moving around neighborhoods in the Turtle Rock district. Already, he had established himself as an artist; he showed exceptional talent and enthusiasm for visual arts as a young child, and had earned the admiration of his schoolmates in elementary and middle school.. At this point, Tanner didn’t know that he had exceptional control over paint. Of course, artistic talent was a thing, but he didn't know that metahuman powers were a factor in his art.
Tanner tried getting into the Orange County High School of Arts, but did not get in. (Perhaps because there were a whole slew of other visual artists, and because Tanner lived so far away.)
Tanner's power emerged in a burst of passion, after having a heated argument with a student about his artwork. The student said that Tanner was doing everything wrong; this was about the time that Tanner's hypos were strung up, and this subsequently led to overturned paint cans and a Splatoonesque mess that Tanner had to help clean up (especially since the !?#%$& didn't stick around). Tanner began to experiment with his power over paint (his first experiments helped speed up the cleanup process tenfold).
Tanner and Holly went to a different school for Metahumans (though he didn’t know that he was classified as Metahuman, only “genetically gifted”) after discovering his power over wet ink and paint. There, they were subjected to dangerous physical and mental tests (read:obstacle courses of DEATH) and put through things that no child should ever have to go through. Suffice it to say, they decided not to go back to that boarding school, and instead opt for a more conventional high school experience. Oddly, the academy that they had attended was not involved with N.E.S.T. and therefore they were not registered in the Metahuman directory.
Last year, Tanner began to struggle with his sexuality. Afraid of being teased, Tanner suppressed his urges and denied being gay (because early-pubescent boys are merciless in jeering those who are different). Tanner became somewhat quiet, and rather uncomfortable, only disclosing his convictions to Holly and to his art. Holly urges him to talk to somebody about coming out. However, he was unable to express his feelings at the academy.
After the school year, Tanner and Holly both dropped the academy and enrolled in University High School, a school known for "grilling" its students. (Though not literally, unlike their previous academy.) They do have responsibilities to take care of in the transition (summer homework comes to mind).
Relationships
Family:
Sanford Park--Father Giana Seo Park--Mother Holly Park--Twin sister Injae Park--Cousin Kate Kim--Cousin
Dynamics:
Holly Park | Fantastic | Twin Sister, Partner-In-Figurative-Crime | "Someday, we might write a graphic novel together. She'll write the story, and I'll the pictures. Now if only we can get into the same college." | Injae Park | Good | Older Cousin | "A genius with machines. Absolute genius. Pretty handy, despite only having one hand. Wish I had more chances to get to know her better; I ought to get her Skype and everything during our trip." | Kate Kim | Good | Younger Cousin | "I see Kate more often than I do Ratchet, mostly because we live in the same state. She actually more often comes to Irvine than Holly and I do to Verthaven." |
Abilities
Power Class:
Elemental
Power:
Chromokinesis: The ability to manipulate paintings and their subjects, as well as their canvases. This extends to liquid ink and watercolor; watercolor and oils tend to be the easiest for Tanner to manipulate due to the easy access of water for the former and the somewhat long drying time for the latter. (Oil paint, however, is indeed expensive.)
Tanner can form abstract shapes with the paint; these require little effort, since it's the equivalent of a small child smearing fingerpaints upon a piece of paper. With more effort, Tanner can also maintain paints in the form that they were in on canvas, effectively creating some sort of painted avatar. These, however, are complex and difficult to maintain. Tanner's powers are closely connected to his imaginative ability.
Tanner also uses this power to aid in his painting. It helps that pigments conform to his vision.
Limits:
This power works on pigments in a wet solution, so oil pastel, chalk, graphite, and other dry media do not respond to Tanner. This prevents any trouble involved in destroying precious art. In addition, Tanner must follow the law of conservation of mass; he only has access to as much paint as is in the vicinity. If he paints a train, it stays painting-size or smaller. Also, the more complex the idea he has, the more difficult it is to manipulate the paint into that form. Living creatures larger than a small dog are nigh impossible at this point. Complex machines are also a no-no; however, he can manipulate paint into any SHAPE he wants.
And of course, there must be wet media present for his power to work. Otherwise he's just a guy who happens to know how to paint.
Weaknesses/Drawbacks:
Oftentimes Tanner's power takes a while to implement because of the need to actually paint. Tanner himself must concentrate in order to keep paints in the same form; as such, too much exertion causes him to get migraines. Anything further knocks him out. His power also lasts for a shorter time when he is in stress, burning him out more than usual.
Other:
Sample Post:
"God, that school was awful," Tanner declared, flopping prostrate on his bed upon returning from boarding school on the last day. "I can't believe that those tests were legal."
"Tell me about it," said his sister Holly, sitting on the bed next to him. "Whose dumb idea was it to expose teenagers to spiky instruments of torture, anyway?"
"I'm glad we're going to Uni next year. They say that they grill their kids, but anything sounds better than that frickin' academy." Tanner closed his eyes and sighed. "Do you think I should join band?”
“I dunno,” Holly shrugged. “Normally that would be a resounding YES but since you play alto saxophone, that might be debatable.”
“Good point,” Tanner agreed. “I’ll go through band camp and see if it’s right for me. If it isn’t, then I’ll probably have to find some other VPA.”
The siblings sat on the bed like this for a while. Holly turned to Tanner once more and asked, “So, you excited to go to Verthaven for our uncle’s wedding?”
“Bleh,” Tanner replied. “Weddings are boring.”
“Yeah, but Om-ma said that Injae-un-ne is going there for the summer as well.”
“Ratchet? How long has it been since we last saw her?” Tanner sat up.
“We haven’t seen her in over a year and a half,” Holly replied. “Hey, you can show her how good you got at Smash or something.”
“Oh, yeah. I mean, she has a hand over me in Mario Kart, of course, but I can’t wait to see the look on her face when I mop the floor with Rosalina as Robin.”
“I’ll be there to watch.” Holly laughed. “And maybe video-record it.”
“But first we have to deal with sitting through the wedding,” Tanner said. “Ugh. For how many hours do those drag on and on and on and on…”
“Hey, hey, at least Kate looks adorable as the flower girl,” Holly protested.

Home District:
Lives in Irvine, CA; visiting family in Verthaven and staying in University Row
Appearance
Hair Color:
Dark brown
Eye Color:
Dark brown
Ethnicity:
Korean
Physical Appearance:
In terms of facial structure, she resembles Tanner in her oblong head shape and placement of features. However, her jaw is narrow, unlike Tanner's, and her eyes are constantly alert. (Usually in response to Holly's comments that he has K-pop hair, Tanner retorts with the statement that Holly has K-pop eyes. Holly has round cheeks and a straight nose, and thin lips that are slightly fuller than Tanner's, though not by a lot. While Tanner likes to smile, Holly loves to grin. Her hair is stylistically similar to Tanner’s, albeit mirrored and slightly longer. She also bleached the rear edges so that she could get highlights.
Holly made it a habit to jog every morning to wake herself up (got to keep up appearances, you know), and as a result is quite fit, with lean, shapely legs. She usually smells like a freshly-printed book (unless she is all sweaty, in which case she smells like B.O.). Holly isn't overly voluptuous; rather, her body has a sort of bean-like shape, save for her B-cups. She does have a feminine body shape.
Attire:
It really depends on what Holly feels like wearing, though she rarely deviates from track shorts (Tanner recently noted the similarity between Inkling lower-body fashion in Splatoon and Holly's wardrobe) and whatever top she decides to wear that day. Holly claims that her legs never get cold, and that she is too lazy to change her pants. (Tanner facetiously remarks that she also wears them to tease her legs to boys, to which she replies, "I can neither confirm nor deny that statement without the secretary's approval," with a wink.) Generally on hot days it's T-shirts and tank tops, cooler days it's blouses, and on the token chilly week in December in California she wears a hooded sweatshirt.
Personality
Innate & Outward Personality:
What you see is what you get with Holly; she is a gaily girl with a passion for reading, and a positive outlook on life. She is deferential in such a way that it reflects her own sophistication and civility, and she exudes a sort of energetic vibrance through her literary passion. Holly has a fondness for cute things, and an extensive understanding of literary techniques and motifs. She deeply loves her twin brother, and can read him like a book, often finishing his sentences for him ("If we're going to be stereotyped," she says, "we might as well live up to their expectations"). She is very protective of her brother, and turns fierce when Tanner is in trouble. However, she also teases Tanner with the fact that she is the older twin ("thirteen minutes still matters"), and acts mock-condescending towards him, but is facetious every time.
Holly doesn't like talking about her year at the academy with anybody, preferring to ignore it and everything that happened in it. She dances away from the subject if it is brought up, and refuses to bring it up herself. She isn't overtly hostile about it, but she does passive-aggressively indicate that she will metaphorically shank anybody who probes the subject.
She has a sort of facetious attitude towards archetypes and stereotypes, and her speech reflects that sassy caricatured attitude. She looks at almost every work of fiction with a literary lens ("Mario?! STORY?! Pppffffttthhhahahahahahaha!"). She may be far from sensible, but she is also by no means shallow. However, she can be a bit careless at times. (Not with important secrets, of course, but with plates.)
Hobbies/Interests:
Reading and writing; she also likes model trains and Broadway musicals (though she did watch the Starkid musicals, her favorites being Twisted and The Trail to Oregon). She absolutely loves the Narnia books and The Lord of the Rings' and constantly references both. She plays video games for story, and therefore prefers story-heavy games such as Fire Emblem, or games with hidden lore such as Five Nights at Freddy's. She also makes extensive use of headcanon.
Skills/Talents:
Holly is a great close reader. In addition to this she is also a good trombone player, able to easily play complex runs, and likes to duet with Tanner's sax playing. Holly can also play ukulele and knows "The Duck Song," which she uses to annoy Tanner to no end by barging into his room and yelling it at the top of her lungs.
Prized Possession:
A fountain pen with a gold nib; presumably it is similar to the one that Anne Frank used to write her diary.
Quote(s):
"Ooh, irony!" "Dick jokes! I love Dick jokes! I've got a boatload!" "Surprise! Expecting an astrophysicist?"
History/Bio:
Holly was born March 23, 2000, alongside Tanner Park, and is the elder twin of the two by 13 minutes. The more boisterous of the twins, she was always louder and more present. She did learn to control herself, though she did get into a bit of trouble in the early school years.
Holly was always a reader, and her parents knew that all she needed was a book to get her to calm down for a while. Her parents noticed that she spent more time than usual on any given book, probing its words and illustrations (if applicable), and she had a propensity towards denser books. She established herself by second grade as one of the brightest humanities-based kids in her class (though her math certainly left something to be desired). However, she was always quite cheerful and outgoing, and stuck her hands into quite a few friends circles. Holly always went to the same schools as Tanner.
Her power surfaced towards the middle of fourth grade, when as she read Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes, a cloud paper cranes appeared to flutter about her head, with each crane carrying a wish of wellbeing on its wings. It was noticeably calmer than Tanner's power surfacing, that's for sure.

Abilities
Power Class:
Cerebral
Power:
Literate Manifestation--Holly has an advanced ability to read and understand texts of both fiction and nonfiction. In essence, part of her power is pretty much superpowered close reading. However, this sets up for the other part of her power, in which she can will literary and textual subject matters into existence. This, however, requires an understanding of concepts conveyed through those subjects; for instance, Holly can will an example of, say, a crank shaft from a how-it-works text into a temporary existence, making it palpable to those around her. It is somewhat like the Pokémon Mr. Mime's ability to will invisible barriers into existence.
Limits:
Holly must have an extensive understanding of a book's themes, motifs, characters, and the like in order to use the more complex aspects of her power. Therefore, simpler characters such as those from children's books, as well as objective concepts such as biological or mechanical diagrams, are easier to will into temporary existence. Also, she cannot project too many subjects at once; the more complex her subjects, the fewer she can project. For instance, Holly cannot will into existence the entire crew of the Pequod from Moby-Dick because of the literary complexity of at least five of Melville's characters. However, she can will many objective mechanical concepts into existence due to the relative simplicity of mechanical diagrams.
Weaknesses/Drawbacks:
Using her power too many times, or too much at once, will give Holly a severe migraine; this is a warning sign that Holly should stop. If she continues, she begins to hallucinate, before entering a semi-comatose state, forcing her mind to cool off. This causes her to collapse to the ground. However, Holly can use her powers of analysis as much as she wants. (After all, she is a bookworm.)
Anyways, I've been working on some characters on and off to use in the next arc (I'm dropping Maxine, and know the perfect way to kill) and finished them a few minutes ago and felt like showing off.

Nickname/Alias/Etc:
The Bird of Paradise, Smoking Liberty

Female
Age:
26
Height:
5'3
Weight:
52
Home District:
Knightdale Rows
Appearance
Hair Color:
Black
Eye Color:
Dark-Brown
Ethnicity:
Jamaican
Physical Appearance:
Small, but Tanya knows she has a big presence. She has the appearance of a very lively woman. She allows herself to be approachable - whether someone wants a date or not. She's spastic in her movements, and very confident in them. Often smiling, and winking at people, taking large steps like she's in charge. But enough of that, you want to know what she looks like! Tanya is a small woman from Jamaica, and thus, she has features consistent with those people. Very dark skin, different skull shape, thick lips. Tanya is a woman with a very thin frame, and it's kept that way through a consistent and rigorous workout regime. She isn't muscular, but she's definitely toned. Her limbs are also thin and gangly. Other than working out, she doesn't do too much in terms of work. Tanya has surprisingly broad shoulders, and has an A-cup bra-size. Her hands are pretty delicate, and precise, likely due to years of operating instruments, and despite her short size and stature, her feet are large. Now, getting that out of the way, time to go onto Tanya's face. Her facial features are pretty sharp, and pronounced. Tanya has a large mouth, with thick, wide lips, along with a large and pronounced droopy nose that looks far from disproportionate. Her cheeks are round, and because she's constantly smiling, her cheeks are always in the spotlight, figuratively speaking. Her eyes are almond shaped, and small, her eyelashes above it are thin (Unnaturally, she cut them thin). Ears are medium-sized and diamond shaped, and her forehead is large. In terms of hair, her hair is a black color, being straight. Her hair is very short, and is styled in such a subtle way that you'll have to look closely to see what style it really is. Tanya's hair is done into short twisted braids.
Attire:
Tanya certainly has no shortage of colorful outfits. Her attire drastically varies from day to day. One day, she might be wearing an oddly colored short dress, and another she might be dressed as a beach loving Californian. Her sense of style is certainly strong. Tanya mostly dresses as you'd expect a musician to dress. She certainly wears lots of accessories to go with it (but not enough that it seems excessive). Ear-rings, bracelets, and sometimes regular rings. And Tanya's guitar is never far away from her. And not just any guitar. Top of the line, professionally made twelve-string Acoustic guitar. It's well maintained by a dedicated guitarist. Kept in a fancy black case that she keeps hanging off her shoulder by a strap. With stickers of kisses and hearts stuck to it.
Personality
Innate & Outward Personality:
A performer to her bones, Tanya is certainly loud, and knows how to make a big presence with a small body. Tanya is certainly loud, and lives to preform, and entertain others. Drawing attention to herself with impromptu performances, and her loud and boisterous attitude. It's just something she loves doing, why she's taken up being a performer in the first place. Apart of her love to entertain is a kind heart, and optimistic persona. She's a cheerful woman, constantly making jokes, and always being ready to socialize with people. Just about anyone, really. She has a a meek, near child-like, vibe to her. Some people would call her charming, along with a lot of other things. Other people would probably call her annoying. Tanya is a woman that speaks quickly, and mixed with her thick accent, makes it hard for her to be understood at times. She finds it irritating at times, but she keeps her demeanor. Though, that same energy can be seen once she gets angry. Once she gets angry, she talks so fast, that it becomes a blur. The only words that are understandable are "bumbaclot", and you'll be hearing it a lot.
Though, Tanya often comes across as arrogant, or condescending. She, at times, acts like she's better than other people because she's a musician. This is a innate sentiment, in fact. It's unintentional when it shows, in fact. One thing she'd angrily argue against is people insulting the music she makes - or just music in general. That's something that she's insanely passionate about. Tanya is a woman that values her freedom, and independence above all else. Threaten it, and she'll certainly lash out.
Innately, a lonely girl. For most of Tanya's life, she always felt ignored. Sure, she had her friends, but they never truly stuck around (This extends far as her family). In the end, it was just Tanya. Which is why she finds it hard to really get emotionally invested in other people (Platonically, and romantically). And at the same time, she can be rather over-zealous in trying to make friends. Tanya is desperate for fame, and fortune. At this point, it's all but expected of her. She feels the pressure to try to get famous, and finally live up to her family's name. Yet, she feels that her parents cast a mighty shadow, and she couldn't possibly get where they were, even if she tried. She feels as if she couldn't get a contract. Thus, she holds a very strict standard for herself, and allows no deviation from it. She's hard on herself at times. Tanya has some self-blame issues. She feels that she's at fault for everything that goes wrong in her life (Especially if it was out of her hands). She'll come up with some excuse, and feel guilt over it. While she doesn't act like it, Tanya is a very vengeful woman. Someone did something very cruel to her when she was younger, and she hasn't truly let it go. So, she .
Hobbies/Interests:
Birds, birds, birds. Tanya always had a love of those feathery things, especially after her power developed. She can easily point out a great deal of bird trivia, and easily identify a particular bird by heart. Tanya also does amateur modeling, posing for one of her friends that has a camera. Other than that, Tanya likes cooking, writing songs, performing, dancing, etc, etc.
Skills/Talents:
Tanya's claim to fame is her immense talent in the musical department. Hell, some people would say that it was inherited from her parents. From a young age, Tanya played around with music and sound, both practicing singing when alone, and playing with her guitar. She advanced far above that point by practice, professional training, and, of course, experience. Tanya is a very talented musician, she can play the guitar super well, writes her own lyrics, and has an amazing singing voice worthy of mainstream success! And unlike you amateurs, she doesn't get stage fright. She's preformed live (in several dive bars, and hipster digs) with her whole band. Other than the good old music industry, Tanya plays Tennis from time to time. She isn't a professional, but she's certainly good enough to knock any beginner on their ass. Tanya is also a writer, she writes novels and such and such in her spare time. Nothing that'd ever get published, but it's something that helps her write lyrics. Working at a seafood restaurant has taught her how to cook.
Prized Possession:
Optional
History/Bio:
Born in Jamaica, Tanya was the daughter of a reggae-rap duo known as Smokey Summers. They were rather popular in Jamaica, and had a small following in America (Enough to warrant a few performances there). They were pretty busy with their job, and thus, they mostly left young Tanya alone, while they preformed all around Jamaica. They weren't rich, but they had enough money to afford a babysitter. However, little Tanya pined for her parents, and wanted to be like them. Even from her youth, she experimented with music. Not saying that she picked up a guitar right off the bat, but she got a feel for music by singing songs on her own, writing lyrics, and making beats. She was sent off to a private school where she excelled in an above-average education. Tanya wasn't exactly super popular, since she was much more concerned with attempting to make songs, rather than friends. It wasn't long until she became lonely, and reached out to them, attempting to make friends. At first, she had to put on a friendly facade, but soon enough, made some friends of her own. The few times she did see her family, they encouraged her love of music, going far as to give her a guitar to use.
As she got older, Tanya practiced that guitar until it broke (Literally! It had to be fixed several times), and sung songs all around the house. Other than obsess over music, Tanya developed a fascination with birds, too. Birds, in her eyes, are the epitome of freedom, and beauty. Exploring the Jamaican countryside was fun, too. Tanya wanted a bird, her parents wouldn't let her get a fancy bird like she wanted, but they got her a nice Amazon Parrot named Kiwi. Kiwi would stick with Tanya for years. Anywho, once Tanya was thirteen, she displayed an impressive talent in the music department - just like her parents. While they were away, they got her professional music lessons. Guitar and singing lessons. After school, of course. These lessons continued, until Tanya was a very skilled and talented musician (When she was very well into her early teens of course). That's when Mommy and Daddy decided to take her to a live performance. Of course, she wasn't on stage right off the bat, she was backstage, just to get a feel of it. It was exciting on the stage, but Tanya wasn't sure if she was really ready for it. Next time, her parents preformed their music... before letting little Tanya out on stage to do her thing (after announcing it, of course). While she was excited to preform, the second she stepped on that stage with that guitar in her hands, all that training, all that practice, couldn't prepare her for the crippling stage fright.
Her parents took her off the stage - to the utter confusion of their fans.
That night, Tanya cried harder than ever before, as her parents attempted to explain that she was just suffering from a bit of stage fright, and there was nothing wrong. Tanya simply told herself that it'll be something that she'll get over. Though, her parents decided that it was a bad idea to put her on that stage, at least, not until she was older. From this point on, Tanya started noticing changes in her biology. First, she started getting very light, in a few weeks she dropped around fifty pounds. The other change she noticed was that, Kiwi, her parrot, started getting much more responsive. Talking to each other like they were the same species. Odd, but Tanya dismissed it, since she felt perfectly fine. Possibly better than before. The Doctors had no idea what was wrong with Tanya - that is, until they ran an X-Ray on the girl, and it was revealed that her bones were hollow. A very special test was ran, and only then it was revealed that Tanya was a Metahuman. Her entire family was surprised at the development.
Nobody knew how to really handle the development, not even Tanya. However, her parents quickly got her enrolled in the Academy Program, and, thus, she was sent off to Academy 218. Where they'll, hopefully, know how to handle Tanya. Now, Tanya was far from excited. Alaska, yipes! A farcry from the sunny Jamaican countryside she was used to. On the ride there, she overdressed. However, once she arrived, she was far from happy. She had to be the weakest person there. They made fun of her for her lacking power. So, the remedy was simply staying out of sight, and playing with her guitar. She joined the music club, and whatever classes she could get on music. However, things took a change once night when some of the kids decided to play a cruel prank on her. One night, she was lured out into the garden, then a girl who could create portals dropped her into a portal, and it lead high up into the air. They had someone with the power to slow objects down, so they fully intended to catch her. Tanya, of course, didn't know that, and she fully believed that she was about to die. That she was just murdered.
However, something inside of her awakened. The innate desire to live, the desire to see Paradise again.
In that moment, Tanya exploded in a green energy. She had transformed into a phoenix-like creature, shaped like a harpy, and shining wings of energy. Leaving behind a trail of light, Tanya landed outside of the Academy... by crashing into a thick foliage. Breaking many of her now fragile bones. School staff came out and recovered her, and explained to her what happened, while a healer got her back to tip top shape. First thing Tanya felt was anger. She channeled her Caribbean rage, and hunted down, and attacked the girl that perpetrated the whole thing. Tanya got her ass kicked by a girl that was bigger, and more physically capable than her. It was ended once the girl was expelled from the Academy for such a sadistic prank. Tanya felt relieved, but disappointed she couldn't do it herself.
While she tried to forget about it, Tanya couldn't help but mull about it. Either way, Tanya devoted her time to mastering her new form. Starting with learning how to actually activate it. Then, with the help of other Avian based Metas at the school, she learned how to properly fly. It was honestly a very straining and long experience. Eventually, she managed to fly like a bird in the sky. That filled her with so much glee, finally being among the birds that she loved so much. That filled her with an appreciation like no other for the life she lived. Oh yeah, and she learned that she could control the air to an extent. Tanya decided that she'll stay in Academy 218 as a full student. As it had everything she wanted, needed, and more. Only returning often home to visit.
By the time Tanya was nineteen, she had graduated from Academy 218. Returning to Jamaica, and was met with some rather disturbing news. Tanya wasn't paying attention (mostly because she was fed lies by her parents), but they fell out of the spotlight. Their record label dropped Smokey Summers, and their family had run into some marital problems, fueled by her father cheating on her mother - fathering twin daughters right under their nose. It all ended there, and her mother and their father went their separate ways. Her father ended up quickly marrying his baby mother, and introduced Tanya to Sasha and Elaine Lamont. Tanya tried talking to her mother, but it turned out that she didn't want anything to do with her.
Around this time, Tanya realized that it was time for Tanya to spread her wings (literally), and go her separate ways. Tanya used the money that her parents saved up for her to go to college, and went to America. Specifically Verthaven, at the suggestion of her friend. Tanya went to Academy 12 to get a college education - but really went there to preform in the dive bars and clubs in Knightdale Rows. Tanya had long gotten over her stage fright (Preforming in school plays in Academy 12 helped her with that). It didn't go as badly as she thought, and earned herself a bit of a hipster following. Along with managing to create a band, which she calls Smoking Liberty.
The greatest band in the world - however, she couldn't ride the Academy 12 train forever. Tanya was focusing so much on her band, and performances, that she had severely neglected her schoolwork. She was booted from the Academy Program, and forced on the street. So, Tanya had no choice but to use the money she had to buy an apartment, and then she got a job at a seafood restaurant on the Crystal Shores. There was no hell greater than working as a waitress there, yet, she managed to get friendly with many people.
To summarize, this power is basically Avian Physiology and Aerokinesis mashed together. Tanya has the ability to transform into a bird-human hybrid with an appearance similar to harpies. Meaning, primarily, her arms and legs will be transforming. Her arms will morph into fifteen-feet long wings, with massive feathers. Now, these won't be normal feathers - no, no. These feathers appear to be a glowing gaseous energy, like a fire, or a plasma. Primarily glowing a green color, with other colors shining in. When she flies, she leaves behind a trail of various colors. Her eyes will also glow a white color that leaves no trace of her original eyes. I should note that she won't have any hands in this state, but Tanya's wings will be flexible enough for her to grab things. Her legs will similarly be covered in variously colored feathers, but she'll have four large talons on her feet, and her legs will be covered in rough, black, keeled, scales. These talons are very strong, and capable of grabbing objects. A kick from her would not be great. Like the mighty falcon, her legs are shock absorbent enough to withstand a quick landing. Tanya has a tail, technically three long tail feathers that glow with the same energy as the rest of her body. There are feathers and scales in other parts of Tanya body.
Now, the first ability this grants - flight - is obvious, but works in a different way than you'd expect. Instead of flapping her wings, she's capable of a more supernatural flight that's assisted by the aforementioned Aerokinesis. She can do everything you'd expect a flier to do, but she can hover in the air. While in the air, she's incredibly fast and agile. Capable of complex aerials maneuvers and outrunning everything on the ground. That isn't to say that Tanya isn't capable of traditional flight - in fact, it's nearly on par on her aerokinetic flight. Now, I have to cover the aerokinetic aspects. Tanya has a limited control over air (Or more accurately, wind) using her wings. To put it in simple terms, a strong flap of her wings and send a gust of air so strong that'll send the unprepared flying. She can control the force and size of these blasts. She can use this power in order to give herself a burst of speed in any direction. She's also capable of creating miniature twisters using the same method. Twisters that tear the surrounding area to pieces for a couple seconds. At most, she can create one large one, or three smaller ones. Tanya can also surround herself in a tornado for a period of time. The final ability that Tanya has is that she can fire off her razor-sharp feathers at high-speeds like daggers using her aerokinesis to put uumph behind it. While they don't have the weight or density to really penetrate anything armored (Or even cause serious damage to someone unarmored), they can give someone a nice cut.
A few of her abilities transfer back to her human form. First and foremost, Tanya's skeleton is hollow, and makes her remarkably lightweight. Which allows her to pull off greater feats of agility, and more. Though, this works against her just as much. Secondly, Tanya's movements are faster, and more flowing, and she's capable of pulling off greater feats of agility. Jumping higher, landing slower, and doing acrobatic feats like backflips like she was a circus performer. Finally, Tanya can communicate with birds! Not outright control, but birds are more likely to listen to her, and she can command a bird far better than an experienced falconer. A neat trick she has is that she can perfectly replicate any sound a bird can make.
Limits:
Tanya can only access her true power within her Bird of Paradise form. She can't partially transform, or use her Bird of Paradise powers. Tanya's power is connected to the feathers on her body. She'll be constantly losing feathers in her BoP form at a rate so slow that it won't really matter. However, once she starts using her aerokinesis, she'll start losing feathers at a fast rate (and the same goes for shooting them). The less feathers Tanya has, the weaker she gets, until she's so powerless that she might as well switch back to human form. It'll take her awhile to regenerate feathers, at least two hours. The environment itself is also a restrictive factor. Outdoors? She'll be able to operate at full strength. Indoors...? Well, to be honest, she would be completely useless in that situation.
Weaknesses/Drawbacks:
Tanya's bones are mighty brittle, both in and out of human form. While they won't shatter when hit by say, a punch by a fully grown man; they will break when hit by a baseball bat, or a super strong punch. The same goes for falling. Tanya's weight can easily be used against her because she could easily be moved by a another human being. Using her aerokinesis also causes breathing problems. The second she shoots a gust of wind, she's going to have a severe case of shortness of breath, and she'll need a moment or two to recover. Overuse will eventually cause her to suffocate, and die to death. Also, she doesn't have any extra bird senses, her senses will remain at human levels. So she's going to have a very hard time seeing while going at high speeds. This is obvious, but it'd be hard as hell for her to grab stuff. She'll either have to use her feet (obvious problem), or try to put her wings together to hold something.
Other:
There are so many things to know about the wonderful Tanya Lamont. Let's start with her Amazon Parrot, Kiwi! She had Kiwi for years, before she had even developed her power. Assisted by a background ability, Tanya can order Kiwi around, and give him complex orders, almost like he was smart as a corvid! Tanya has a band that she takes around on gigs all over Knightdale Rows. Comprised of many musically-inclined hipsters, some of which are Metahuman. Tanya works at Jean-Pierre's Seafood Restaurant on the Crystal Shores. A well known restaurant. Tanya specifically... does whatever they tell her to do. She's been waiting, cooking, etc, etc. Wasn't great, but it let her get out there.

Irish, Romanian, German, and Spanish
Physical Appearance:
Trevor definitely does not adhere to the standard definition of masculinity. Trevor is definitely a really effeminate guy, naturally, and by choice. He's pretty androgynous. He has tender good looks, soft and lithe body, thoroughly shaved body, and long hair. Some people have mistaken him for a girl. His parents blame his power for effecting his growth (Negatively, or positively, is purely up to conjecture). Trevor is short-ish, in between two standard heights, you might say. He's a few inches underneath the male standard height, and a few inches above the female standard height. Despite his thin, gangly, figure, he still has the appearance of someone who has done a little work in their life. He has muscle, and body-fat, both of which act as a subtle padding to his figure. He looks a bit like a swimmer (Despite never swimming!). Still, his body isn't anything impressive, or worth looking at. In terms of genealogy, Trevor is definitely Caucasian. His skin being white, and slightly pale (For NO REASON AT ALL).
He has a couple European countries in his roots (Irish, Romanian, German, and Spanish, to be exact) - though, if anyone asks, he'll probably tell them that he's Spanish. Once again, it's reflected in his facial features - he appears to be distinctly European in the face. His skin is coated in a nice layer of scars, which suggest a bit of roughhousing. Some have started to fade away. There's scars on his knees, and there's a thick slashing scar on his upper forearm. There's also a scar on his lower lip. There's also a few scars on his lower legs that appear to have been made by an animal. Trevor's head is diamond shaped, with most of his facial features being smooth and rounded. His facial features appear to be European. He has small, smooth cheeks that blend seamlessly with his jawline and chin. With his chin being small, and squared, blending with his other facial features. Trevor's nose is wide, and he has some large nostrils, along with a thicker nose bridge. His lips are thin and small, definitely the kind of lips you would see on a man. However, most of his facial features are hard to notice because he keeps a scarf around his face most of the time. His ears are small, point upwards, and are pointed at the tip slightly. One of Trevor's most distinguishing features is easily his hair. He has long, flowing, womanly hair, that is not kept in any particular style, and is simply kept flowing. This hair is back length.
Trevor has a strange odor around him. Every part of his body smells like a chemical of some sort. Once again, you'd have to get uncomfortably close to him in order to smell it. He also speaks with a thick Texan accent.
Attire:
Trevor doesn't have a super pronounced style. He tends to dress rather blandly. Though, he does tend to wear gender-neutral outfits. Clothes that don't seem overly masculine. Usually Trevor would throw on a colored T-shirt of some sort, and some gym shorts. Sometimes Trevor will wear a jacket or a hoodie - but it's summertime, baby. In terms of color, Trevor always loved purple. He tends to wear purple-striped shirts, even if they're girly (He's fine with wearing women's clothing). Though, the most notable piece of attire on Trevor is the scarf he wears over his face, that covers the lower half of his face. You see, he wears a scarf over his face because of his power, and underneath it he keeps a dust mask strapped to his face. He just tells everyone it's a fashion statement! *Ahem* He has a collection of such scarves, so it's rare to see him without one.
Personality
Innate & Outward Personality:
Certainly a cheerful boy - A joker through and through. Trevor's most defining feature is how carefree and cheerful he is, constantly. He has a very sarcastic sense of humour, constantly spouting wisecracks, and jabs at the people around him. Often veering into dark-comedy territory. Him jokes go far and wide! Sometimes he'll make jabs at people, dirty jokes (Sometimes they're thinly veiled flirts), and more. It's all about what he has access to. Though, sometimes Trevor has the habit of being rude, and unintentionally mean-spirited. To which makes him feel a bit of guilt when he pushes them away. Many people get the feeling that he never takes anything seriously - but, to him, all he wants to do is have some fun. Fun, fun, fun. That's pretty much the only thing on mind when he does anything. Because, he's always looking to blow off a bit of steam. It goes without saying, Trevor is quite the extrovert. Despite him sense of humor, he's very kind, and upfront. he treats people with kindness opposed to anything else... if he's not trying to dick with them (Figuratively, or literally). Another trait of his is that he's very open minded about pretty much everything. There isn't a thing that he isn't willing to try. Which leads into him exploratory nature. he's the kind of people who's always willing to look around and find new places. Explore the many mysteries about the world. Especially with friends. Trevor believes in no ghosts - but if he finds any, he'll make sure you're the first person he trips while he's hauling ass. That's another thing I should note; he doesn't have that hot-blooded fighting spirit some people have. he'd rather avoid fighting altogether - by hauling ass, of course! Whenever he gets into such a situation, he usually just turns away. Because he'd rather live another day. Though, he might consider turning back and helping if a friend is in danger (Or he feels bad about tripping them). he'll probably get his ass kicked in a straight up fight, but at least he'll try. Because, he's afraid of facing his friends and saying that he was a coward.
Moving on, Trevor loves a variety of subjects. he loves music, TV shows, fashion, and just people. While he is nice, he doesn't exactly have a clear grasp on how to deal with people. His social skills aren't awful, per-se, but there's a few blunders here and there when he considers how other people think, and operate. Which leads him to make assumptions about how they would act. Which leads to mistakes on his part. Trevor himself is a very flirty and romantic person... only if he actually knew how to flirt. This leads from the whole "assuming how people operate" thing. he's awkward around the people he finds attractive. he tends to rely on making corny flirts and pick-up lines, and hope that he's endearing enough for it to work. Going into his sexuality, he's pansexual, merely because he doesn't prefer one gender/sex over the other, and he's open to dating anyone who's willing to date his. Trevor surprisingly has trouble dealing with emotional situations, insults, criticism, and problems, and naturally tries to block them out by joking, or avoiding them like the plague. he is not the kind of person who would take responsibility and hone up to his mistakes, he would avoid them. he never wants to talk about his problems or anyone else's really, he just wants to continue living his life of fun as he normally does. This makes it hard for his to be emphatic as he wants to be, and help his friends. Trevor keeps his own true emotions and feelings to himself. he simply keeps those emotions bottled up, and expresses them behind closed doors, or to the few he trusts with his emotions. That joking habit of his is because he wants to keep his effeminate persona from being the blunt of verbal abuse. That said, it's truly rare for Trevor to do the same to other people, because if you don't want people prying into your own business, then don't pry into theirs.
Hobbies/Interests:
Huntin' the booty. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Skills/Talents:
Trevor is a hunter through and through. He's been on plenty of hunting trips with his family, and has picked up a large number of skills from it. To get started, Trevor knows how to hunt, prepare animals (Along with a knowledge of said animals), and cook them. Along with an affinity for the woods (that scare him!), and being great at staying quiet/sneaking. If the end of the world occurs, he'll be just fine with living off the land. Trevor is very talented at archery. From the moment he picked up that bow, he's had an affinity with it that was amplified through lessons. He's got one hell of an aim, and pray that you're not his target. Trevor also knows how to use a knife - nothing like knife-fighting, but he knows how to handle a knife well. Knife-throwing is something he's been taught, too... except it always ended horribly for him (One time he threw a knife and managed to stab himself!). Trevor has been allowed to shoot a few guns, rifles. I'll repeat myself when I say that he has a good aim. Though, I doubt he's becoming a sniper anytime soon. On the softer side of things, of course, Trevor is a saxophone player. He's not super good, but he can certainly preform... if he gets past his instant stage fright.
Prized Possession:
Trevor prizes his hunting equipment.
Quote(s):
"Hey, are you on fire? Because your body's smokin'!" - Said before he was punched in the face. One of many.
History/Bio:
Trevor didn't go to high school, he went to school high.
The boy had very humble beginnings, born in Texas, Trevor was the youngest child of several older and better looking siblings (Trevor, Chloe, and Scarlet). His parents were scientists for the ISD (They met in the business) who designed buildings in other countries, and had enough money for them to live in comfort. Not much to really say here, except for the fact that Trevor was born with his power (The power that turned him into a living drug factory). It was just so weak starting out that it wasn't even noticeable. His power grew with him, and, because of it, he never got sick. Now, as Trevor got older, his family took him along on hunting trips. Trips into the wild. It started with him watching, then they let him in on the hunting by teaching him archery. Right off the bat, it was clear that Trevor was talented (Maybe a prodigy) at the bow. Quickly, they got him official lessons, and nurtured his talent. Eventually, he could easily take a deer out from a clearing. This is also where he got many of his other skills in the hunting field, as this was a hobby that he grew up with.
Trevor was always a bit effeminate. His mother would let him play with girls toys sometimes, or wear girl's clothing (because she thought it was cute). Though, it grew up with him. In terms of education, Trevor was sent to a private school, and he wasn't anything special - lackluster, even. School isn't something he remembers fondly because he was a bullied child. It was because... Trevor was rather effeminate right off the bat. The boys bullied him for being so girly (he was once smeared in makeup), and the girls called him weird. This rejection only meant that Trevor had his home life as an escape. They let him pick up an instrument - a saxophone - as a way to distract himself. It worked, and Trevor used his saxophone talent to help him get through school. Again, there wasn't much to go over, he advanced through his classes, hunted, and whatnot.
Things changed once Scarlet's power developed, and it was revealed that she was born from an affair. This news rocked the family, and, nearly literally, tore them apart. They divorced, and each parent took two. Trevor's father took Chloe and Marin, while his mother took Scarlet, and Trevor himself, and they went their separate ways. Trevor, Scarlet, and their mother (F*ck their siblings!) went eastward, into the strange and fabulous city of Black Fall. It was much different from Texas, but Trevor was fine. They moved in, and got Trevor acquainted with school (The bullying wasn't as bad). From there, they didn't live with the same degree of comfort as before, but they got by. Their mother still worked for the ISD. They managed to go on the big hunting trips that they did before. Though, Trevor went through a bit of a change at school - he found himself attracted to fellow student at his school, a conveniently gay student. He was conflicted with his budding sexuality! Trevor knew exactly what to do: he walked up to the dude and told him that he was hot. And he agreed. They eventually became friends, and, eventually, lovers. Trevor was mighty unsure of his sexuality - but he was sure that he wanted to tap that.
They kept it a secret, but they went on dates, and got to know each other very well. Though, his boyfriend told him that he always felt odd whenever they touched (Which felt worse when they kissed). One day, they were making out behind the school, and Trevor's boyfriend was acting odd afterwards. Like, he was on his back, stammering on about seeing a rainbow, and other things. Trevor could have taken advantage of the moment, but something was odd here. He immediately went to his mom, and told her what happened (changing his story around that his boyfriend was a girlfriend). She, using some ISD equipment she brought home, tested him, and it turned out that Trevor was a Metahuman. She immediately took him to get registered under NEST, and they helped him find out about it's many properties and effects. Though, he wasn't particularly a fan of his powers.
He went on like he never had a power in the first place. He went on as if nothing had ever happened in the first place... Things changed again one night. Hands of Science soldiers raided the Obott household, and silently kidnapped their mother because of her power and her ISD connection. They just woke up, and saw that she wasn't there. After frantically searching, they called the police. Who did nothing, since they believed she didn't want to be found. No one knew who they were, or what they wanted. Their father didn't want anything to do with them, and sent them a letter saying "Good riddance, bitch!". However, the same day, NEST Representatives came to talk to Scarlet. They told her that if she joins NEST, they'll give her a place to live in Verthaven, and give Trevor a spot in Academy 12. Since they didn't have much of a choice, they went along with it, and to Verthaven they went.
They got a house in the Crystal Shores (Which was perfect for a hipster like him), and stuck around in Academy 12, and learned about his power. Trevor actually liked the place. The beaches were full of the best booties on the planet, and it was sunny. Trevor got used to it. He made plenty of friends in Academy 12, while his sister was off training to become the greatest NEST Agent.
During the whole nonsense with the Fiends, Trevor stayed down low. Because he didn't want anything to do with no druggy.

Abilities
Power Class:
Super-System: Biological
Power: Narcotic Breath & Fluids.
Trevor's power manifested in that his body produces a powerful magical, cure-all, drug. Every part of his body is a drug - it is heavily concentrated into his breath and bodily fluids, which make it the best medium to dose people with. Once they come in contact with another person, the drugs are immediately absorbed into the body, and will start affecting the individual in shortly as a few seconds. However, if the drugs are consumed, or injected, the effects will be amplified. Now, as for it's effects; the drug is a powerful medical, hallucinogenic, and sedative, drug, which has a variety of effects. Euphoria, body-wide physical pleasure, sedation, reduction of pain, hallucinations (Psychedelic in nature), removal of harmful contaminants (Bacteria, Poison, Diseases, etc), and will induce regeneration in others. They quickly wear off, even the worse high will be gone in half an hour. This is a "no shit" thing, but the severity of these effects are, predictably, dependent on dosage. Getting licked by him would render someone incoherent, taking a puff of his breath would tender someone a little tingly, and a pint of his blood spilling on someone would induce a high like no other. The drug is strong enough that trace amounts of sweat are enough to affect someone - thus, even touching him can get someone slightly high. I should note that the drug isn't addictive in the slightest. However, it's possible that taking too much of it would cause someone to overdose (and suffer a heart attack). Now, Trevor himself is immune to the effects of the drug, but the high concentration of the drugs in his body have effectively made him immune to all foreign chemicals (Medicine, etc), and containments (poisons, toxins, venoms, viruses, bacteria, etc.). He's so immune that his immune-system never had to work once in it's life.
Limits:
Uhhhh... I guess his drug isn't too good in a fight. He'd have to splash someone with a lot of it in order to kill them, and I'd imagine that it'd be hard to get an opponent high, and impractical to try. So, his power leans more towards support, than offense. Otherwise, there's no real limit to the amount of drugs he produces. He'll infinitely produce it.
Weaknesses/Drawbacks:
Now, while it doesn't affect all his body's chemicals, certain bodily chemicals are thrown out of wack. In particular, endorphins don't do anything to him, so, if he gets hurt, it'll hurt. His pain tolerance is very low. Trevor is also unaffected by adrenaline, so if he's being chased by a monster, he won't be able to run like a rabbit like everyone else. He'll get tired, and then he'll get eaten by a bear. If Trevor isn't careful, the drug can easily give someone a heart attack, and kill them. This is a weakness because, let's be real here, Trevor isn't a killer, and he'd only really use his power to help people. Potentially killing them. On the other hand, his immunity to foreign chemicals can work against him in case he needs pain killers, or something like that. Finally, for the love of God, don't turn off his power. His immune system is so weak that it'd be a massacre.
Sexual activity is pretty much out of the question.
Other:
Trevor certainly has an arsenal on him. Hunting equipment that he keeps (hidden) in his room in Academy 12. A compound bow and arrow kit (Including plenty of arrows), a hip mounted quiver, and a hunting knife. In a fight, he could coat one of these with his fluids, and use it to get the drug into their system. Thus, making any damage he causes less severe.
I might add Mika as a full character, since her stuff is finished, but I'unno.
Is this it for our intrepid psudo-hero? Will Khan get her vengance? What response will the titanic battle between warriors ilicit? FIND OUT NEXT TIME ON VERTHAVEN: A BLOODY PARADISE.
Unless the building is a Faraday cage. That fucks up pretty much all transmissions.
However... I suppose it could be tracked to said building, but someone would have to pull the geolocation data. Or better yet: already be keeping her under surveillance!
Advanced Firearms: NEST, naturally, has access to a variety of top-grade firearms. Assault Rifles, Snipers, Pistols, and so on. The weapons have been modified to use different types of ammunition, or to be resistant to a certain type of power. Not much else to go over here.
Fleet of Vehicles: Much like their access to firearms, NEST has a wide variety of vehicles at their disposal. Humvees, Vans, Trucks, helicopters, boats, etc. These vehicles are painted black, and have the NEST Logo painted on them. These vehicles have, of course, been modified to be durable and armored. Some are even modified to be resistant to powers.
Taser-Darts: One of the ammo-types that NEST Agents use to detain Metahumans are darts that unleash a brief electric shock on contact. This is enough to stun anyone without a resistance. Thus, allowing them to be detained.
Power Suppressant Collars: Easily one of the chief pieces of NEST equipment that every Field NEST Agent is given out on the field. It's a simple metal collar that, once attached to a Metahuman, suppresses the Metahuman energy enough so that their power cannot be used.
Metahuman Detector: Every NEST Agent comes equipped with a special device that lets them detect a Metahuman in the area. It doesn't exactly pin-point their location, but it lets a NEST Agent know if there's a Metahuman in the area.
Wrist-Mounted Touchpad: Every field NEST Agent is given a special mini-computer that they can bring on the field that allows them to quickly access the NEST Databanks. Alternatively, it also counts as a backup communicator, a GPS, along with other useful gadgets (You can play Candy Crush on it!).
Containment Foam: A special chemical compound created by studying a Metahuman. Containment Foam is a chemical mixture fired from a special sprayer device that quickly expands, and hardens, on contact. Incasing whatever is unlucky enough inside of it. Once hardened, containment foam is incredibly durable, heat resistant, and corrosion resistant - it will usually soften on it's own, but there's a special compound which breaks it down. This is usually used on Metahumans that are resistant to physical damage, or is too dangerous to approach up close.
Anti-Metahuman Depressant Gas: A very special NEST chemical that was accidentally discovered by ISD scientists. It is a gas that, once it gets inhaled by a Metahuman, and acts as a powerful depressant. Slowing them down, and eventually knocking them out. Only those with high chemical resistances can stave off it's effects.
~More to be added~
I'll add some more later when I come up with some - you're all free to make suggestions long as it doesn't make NEST too good. lol
So I'm going to be out of touch this next week. I saved up a grand to spend the weekend in Atlanta in DragonCon. So if I'm more scarce than usual. That's why.

Alright, I'll take control of Anna and/or Geer if necessary.
